About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. My first pet was a Dalmatian called Tessa when I was four years old, and she quickly became my best friend. Growing up, I also spent lots of time helping to care for my gran’s dogs, taking them on walks and learning how to look after them. My dream job was always to be a vet, and I even used to watch Cesar Millan religiously because I was fascinated by dog behaviour. I have a family dog who is a 16-year-old Border Collie called Blu (you’ll spot him in my profile picture!). I trained him myself, and he’s the sweetest, best-behaved boy. When I was around 12, I walked a neighbour’s dog every day after school, and ever since then I’ve loved caring for other people’s pets. These days I regularly look after my mother-in-law’s Cockapoo as well as dogs and cats for family friends. I’ve been pet sitting for the same family for the past couple of years, and it’s what inspired me to join Rover. Although I don’t currently have a dog living with me, that’s only because I want to wait until I’m in a house before getting one of my own. I genuinely miss having a dog around and love spending time outdoors on long walks. My grandad always used to say I had “animals on the brain”—and he wasn’t wrong! At work, everyone knows how much I love dogs. If they can’t find me, they joke that they just need to look for the nearest dog! While I didn’t grow up with cats, pet sitting has made me very confident caring for them too, and I’ve really grown to love their unique personalities. I work full-time as a Housing Officer, but I have a very flexible job and often work from home, so I can fit my schedule around your pet’s needs. If required, I’m also happy to take annual leave to provide the best possible care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I promise to treat them with the same love, patience and care that I would my own. My long-term dream is to work with animals full-time, so every pet I care for means the world to me. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily life because it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I love being outdoors, going on long walks and exploring nature, so having a dog to share those adventures with is something I really look forward to. I work full-time as a Housing Officer, but I often work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means I can plan my working days around bookings whenever possible. I also drive, making it easy for me to travel for walks, drop-in visits and house sitting. Most weekends I’m free, and as I’m currently saving for my wedding next year, I tend to spend my weekends going to the gym and spending time with family and friends. That means I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets and making sure they get the attention, exercise and companionship they deserve. For me, spending time with animals never feels like work—it’s something I genuinely love and one of the highlights of my week. Your pet’s safety, happiness and routine are my top priorities. I live in a clean, second-floor, one-bedroom flat with access to a shared garden. As there are no other pets living in my block,it’s a calm environment where your pet can feel safe and relaxed. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow your usual routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise, playtime or simply lots of cuddles. If your dog is crate trained, I’m happy to use a crate if that’s part of their normal routine. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll respect both your home and your pet’s routine, making sure they feel comfortable, secure and well looked after while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you have complete peace of mind.

About: I have experience caring for pets of all ages and temperaments. I used to help take care of my family’s old, blind dog until he passed away, which taught me a lot about compassion and patience. Since then, I've assisted with other family dogs ranging from puppies to those over ten years old, each with their own unique behaviors, including anxiety and excitement. Recently, I helped my sister with her dog's litter of puppies, as well as caring for the mama dog. She decided to keep one of the puppies, and I’ve been actively involved in training her to establish a routine and become house-trained. Hi, I’m Amber! About: I have taken care of my friend's Labrador cross rescue here and there for two years now. my responsibilities included dog walking, feeding, toilet runs, giving her medication, doing runs in the car, and showering her with love and attention. I am currently a full-time nursing student at UoD and have classes throughout the week but I am usually free Thursday to Monday. If I do have to go to a lecture it is usually no more than two hours. In my home with the cats we feed the cats 3 times a day and get let in for attention usually after breakfast and stay in the house (they are outside cats) until their next meal and then go out to eat in the garage while we eat in the house and when everyone is done they are let back in. When petsitting for my friend, we would usually go for 1-2 walks a day and spend most of our time playing in the back garden or driving around with her head out the window. At night we would sit and cuddle together while watching TV and then she would sleep in her bed overnight.

About: I have been taking care of dogs of my own or for neighbours and friends since a young age, which developed into a small clientele of dogs whom I would regularly care for throughout my university studies. I have experience caring for puppies (and can confidently assist or continue puppy training) all the way to elderly dogs and am happy administering medication (non-injection). I like to chat with the owners before taking on a pet sitting job to ensure I know exactly what kind of care you expect from me and, more importantly, how I can make the experience as enjoyable as possible for your furry friend. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Dundee so have full autonomy over my schedule and can be at home or take time off during weekday day times. I have availability over the weekends and evenings and can arrange my work to fit around longer sits if need be. I have an enclosed garden which will be useable by your pet only. I live very close to big open spaces so can take them for any length or duration of exercise they might require. I tend to ask owners the specifics of how they prefer me to care for their pet. For example, any feeding/toilet/sleeping schedules, sleeping arrangements and whether or not they should be allowed on furniture/on beds etc. In my opinion the environment I can provide for your pet is largely up to you.

About: Hi! My name's Maria and I loveloveloooove dogs. All dogs. Dogs of all kinds. They're the absolute best. My earliest childhood memory is of my dad bringing a puppy home when I was about 2 years old. It was so fantastic that it brought my consciousness online. Basil lived all the way up to 20 years old and growing up, my family always kept dogs so I'm used to them being around. A house just doesn't feel like a home without one. In March this year my sweet boy, Dexter, had to be put to sleep. You can see him in my profile pictures, he was such a good boy (they're all good boys). There's a bit of a void now I don't have him around and it'd be lovely to take care of dogs again. As a dog lover I know how precious they are and I promise you I will treat them as my own, while they stay with me they'll be part of the family. As well as 30 years of experience being around dogs on a pretty much daily basis, I'm in the process of studying canine psychology so that I can offer training as part of my services. All dogs are different and many of them have 'quirks' that can make caring for them a little more complicated, I'd love to help with that side of things especially. I offer complete one-on-one care. Whilst with me, your dog will have my undivided company and attention. I offer a more focused service because it's better for certain dogs, particularly those who aren't used to being around multiple animals or who are perhaps just a bit needier and want more attention. This allows me to give 100% to the dogs I care for. I work from home as an artist (pet portraits mainly) so my schedule is very flexible and I'm always present to keep an eye on everything and keep them company. They won't be left unattended at any point really and I can accomodate most requests. There's a small, securely fenced garden at the back that I have access to, but there's also lots of green spaces pretty much on my doorstep. Since I'm working at home I can pop out multiple times whenever needed to let them do their business and have a sniff around - so the small garden is no bother at all. I can drive and I'm happy to have dogs in my car, so we can also drive out to explore some nice countryside walks. I'll send you regular updates and pictures so you know how they're doing and can have peace of mind.

About: My journey as a pet sitter and dog walker started of in the cafe were I used to work. We had many costumers coming in with dogs and that's when I realised how much joy they brought me. I started offering my coworkers and my regular customers to look after their pets whenever they needed me to. This way I gained an experience in working with various types of dogs and learnt to accommodate all of them in a unique way. I have experience working with dogs of various sizes, special needs dogs, rescues, socially anxious dogs and dogs with separation anxiety. I can assure you that your dog will feel safe, calm and happy with me :) I work in a coffee shop so my work schedule isn't very busy and changes often. About: I've interacted with dogs all my life. I have always had a special connection with dogs. I have experience with dogs from weeks old all the way to the ripe old age of 16 years old. I have trained rescue dogs with aggression issues, including older dogs like Charlie, my departed Collie who I rescued when he was 10 years old. He went from aggressive on the lead to walking safely off the lead within 6 months. My primary occupation is as a live at home carer and I am.also a freelance journalist. I am incredibly flexible and have plenty free time. I live in the perfect place for dogs. I have a fenced garden and live 500 feet from Broughty Ferry's stunning waterfront which offers a variety of stunning walks to take pooch's on.
