Becky was an absolute star with our cat Lola. She visited everyday and gave us dailly updates and photos of Lola whilst we were on holiday. Our house was left immaculate, especially around Lola's eating area as Lola could be a messy cat! I would highly recommend Becky and would absolutely ask Becky again when we go on our next holiday. 10/10

Amber was fantastic with my dog Cooper! She stopped by for a drop-in and he was so excited to see her — tail wagging, happy dancing, the whole thing. She sent photos right away, which I really appreciated. I’ll admit, Cooper is definitely a pampered pooch, but none of that was too much for Amber. She handled him perfectly. Highly recommend her — Cooper’s already hoping she comes back soon! 🐶💛

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. My first pet was a Dalmatian called Tessa when I was four years old, and she quickly became my best friend. Growing up, I also spent lots of time helping to care for my gran’s dogs, taking them on walks and learning how to look after them. My dream job was always to be a vet, and I even used to watch Cesar Millan religiously because I was fascinated by dog behaviour. I have a family dog who is a 16-year-old Border Collie called Blu (you’ll spot him in my profile picture!). I trained him myself, and he’s the sweetest, best-behaved boy. When I was around 12, I walked a neighbour’s dog every day after school, and ever since then I’ve loved caring for other people’s pets. These days I regularly look after my mother-in-law’s Cockapoo as well as dogs and cats for family friends. I’ve been pet sitting for the same family for the past couple of years, and it’s what inspired me to join Rover. Although I don’t currently have a dog living with me, that’s only because I want to wait until I’m in a house before getting one of my own. I genuinely miss having a dog around and love spending time outdoors on long walks. My grandad always used to say I had “animals on the brain”—and he wasn’t wrong! At work, everyone knows how much I love dogs. If they can’t find me, they joke that they just need to look for the nearest dog! While I didn’t grow up with cats, pet sitting has made me very confident caring for them too, and I’ve really grown to love their unique personalities. I work full-time as a Housing Officer, but I have a very flexible job and often work from home, so I can fit my schedule around your pet’s needs. If required, I’m also happy to take annual leave to provide the best possible care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I promise to treat them with the same love, patience and care that I would my own. My long-term dream is to work with animals full-time, so every pet I care for means the world to me. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily life because it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I love being outdoors, going on long walks and exploring nature, so having a dog to share those adventures with is something I really look forward to. I work full-time as a Housing Officer, but I often work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means I can plan my working days around bookings whenever possible. I also drive, making it easy for me to travel for walks, drop-in visits and house sitting. Most weekends I’m free, and as I’m currently saving for my wedding next year, I tend to spend my weekends going to the gym and spending time with family and friends. That means I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets and making sure they get the attention, exercise and companionship they deserve. For me, spending time with animals never feels like work—it’s something I genuinely love and one of the highlights of my week. Your pet’s safety, happiness and routine are my top priorities. I live in a clean, second-floor, one-bedroom flat with access to a shared garden. As there are no other pets living in my block,it’s a calm environment where your pet can feel safe and relaxed. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow your usual routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise, playtime or simply lots of cuddles. If your dog is crate trained, I’m happy to use a crate if that’s part of their normal routine. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll respect both your home and your pet’s routine, making sure they feel comfortable, secure and well looked after while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you have complete peace of mind.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for cats, dogs, and small pets. I currently have a cat of my own and grew up with both Greyhounds and a Labrador, giving me experience with dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I’ve also previously owned cats, dogs, and rodents, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of pets. Growing up, I often accompanied my mum on her dog walks and had the opportunity to meet and interact with many different breeds and temperaments. This helped me become confident around dogs with a wide range of personalities, from energetic and playful to shy and relaxed. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll always treat them as if they were my own. I’m reliable, caring, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! As I work full-time during the week, my usual availability for pet care is from 6pm onwards on weekdays, with full availability on weekends. I’m also generally available for drop-in visits between 12–2pm on Mondays and Fridays. I can sometimes be flexible with earlier morning visits depending on location and my work schedule, so feel free to message if you’re looking for something slightly outside these times — I’ll always do my best to accommodate where I can. This makes me a great option for evening visits, feeding, walks, companionship, and weekend pet care. I’m also available for overnight stays on Friday and Saturday nights, helping your pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment while you’re away. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and I’ll always care for them as if they were my own. I’ll follow their usual routine, whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, medication, or just giving them the attention and company they’re used to. I have a cat of my own and live in a small one-bedroom flat, so I’m currently unable to offer boarding in my home. Because of this, I provide care in your pet’s home instead, where they can stay in a familiar environment and stick to their normal routine. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and I’ll be happy to send updates and photos for extra peace of mind. I understand that every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to get to know their personality and needs to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both of you.

About: I've grown up with dogs and have a real love for them. I currently live in a flat, so any dog staying with me would need to be fully toilet trained. I can offer plenty of long and frequent walks, and your dog would also need to be dog-friendly, as I have two rescue dogs at home. As a university student, I have a consistent routine that allows me to give dogs plenty of time and attention throughout the day. I live alone with my own rescue dog in a flat, and we’re lucky to have a bit of green across the road for outdoor time. My dog is well-socialised, any visiting dog would need to be dog-friendly. I also take regular, long walks throughout the week to keep dogs active and happy. Your dog will be safe, cared for, and treated like my own. I live in a second-floor flat with a secure garden, just a short walk from Baxter Park — perfect for regular walks and outdoor play. I make sure dogs feel safe and settled in my home, giving them space to relax as well as plenty of attention. I’m happy to take them out for toilet breaks every couple of hours or as needed, and I always follow their usual routines to help them feel comfortable and at ease.

About: I have been taking care of dogs of my own or for neighbours and friends since a young age, which developed into a small clientele of dogs whom I would regularly care for throughout my university studies. I have experience caring for puppies (and can confidently assist or continue puppy training) all the way to elderly dogs and am happy administering medication (non-injection). I like to chat with the owners before taking on a pet sitting job to ensure I know exactly what kind of care you expect from me and, more importantly, how I can make the experience as enjoyable as possible for your furry friend. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Dundee so have full autonomy over my schedule and can be at home or take time off during weekday day times. I have availability over the weekends and evenings and can arrange my work to fit around longer sits if need be. I have an enclosed garden which will be useable by your pet only. I live very close to big open spaces so can take them for any length or duration of exercise they might require. I tend to ask owners the specifics of how they prefer me to care for their pet. For example, any feeding/toilet/sleeping schedules, sleeping arrangements and whether or not they should be allowed on furniture/on beds etc. In my opinion the environment I can provide for your pet is largely up to you.

About: Throughout my life I've always had one family member who had 4 legs and extensive body hair! I currently have a rescue Romanian boy(neutered) called Murphy who adores other dogs so he would love to help me in making your 'family member' feel at home. I have experience with senior dogs - my last rescue, Alfie reached 18 yrs- and also shy, anxious ones too. I have a car and am only 10mins away from a beach with forest nearby as well as living beside a large park and woodland walk. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and am enthusiastic about offering a service which will benefit other dog-lovers. I currently work 2 days per week (Mon&Tues) but would be available for the remainder of the week, both day and overnight. I would be flexible around the Mon/Tues however as I generally work from home, but would prefer Wed-Sun so I can fully focus on your dog's happiness and welfare. I have an enclosed garden which is large with lots of shrubs etc providing plenty sniff spots! I obviously ensure that my home is free from hazards eg cleaning products, fire safety etc . My dog Murphy is neutered, loves other dogs and will provide reassurance and fun....he's shy at first but loves to play.

About: I have taken care of my friend's Labrador cross rescue here and there for two years now. my responsibilities included dog walking, feeding, toilet runs, giving her medication, doing runs in the car, and showering her with love and attention. I am currently a full-time nursing student at UoD and have classes throughout the week but I am usually free Thursday to Monday. If I do have to go to a lecture it is usually no more than two hours. In my home with the cats we feed the cats 3 times a day and get let in for attention usually after breakfast and stay in the house (they are outside cats) until their next meal and then go out to eat in the garage while we eat in the house and when everyone is done they are let back in. When petsitting for my friend, we would usually go for 1-2 walks a day and spend most of our time playing in the back garden or driving around with her head out the window. At night we would sit and cuddle together while watching TV and then she would sleep in her bed overnight.

We had last minute plans come up and we were able to get an hour's drop in for our two young dogs all sorted and organised stress free! Maria got back to us very quickly and we got really good vibes straight away - nothing was too much trouble for her. The dogs loved her instantly and she didn't seem phased by all their antics ? it's the longest we have left them alone and they were perfectly relaxed and happy when we got home (and nothing was destroyed ?). It was the first time we've ever used a pet sitter and couldn't be happier with the service.

About: I have had a dog of my own for two years and he had to stay back in Greece with my family, so I really miss him. I love spending time with dogs, especially playing and going on walks with them. I am currently a uni student attending my third year in Pharmacology. My timetable consists of an average of 1-2 hours of uni work/lectures so I have plenty of free time during my day. My flat is pretty spacious and I live with my two flatmates that are also dog lovers. The environment is really cosy and the dogs will be sleeping in my room either next to my bed or with me if they wish to, so they can have company and feel comfortable at all times.

Luka is an absolute lifesaver! Had to book last minute for some drop ins so my dog wouldn't be home alone all day. Luka came over first for a meet and greet which was great. Before and after the drop ins we had great communication, and Luka was also aware of the effect of the heat and adapted their drop in accordingly to make sure that Ghost didn't overheat. Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Dundee pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dundee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
