“Very communicative and accommodating. They did everything they said they would with updates. So very glad I found them on Rover and absolutely would not hesitate to use them again. Thankyou again to the both of you .”

“Absolutely wonderful visits from Nicola. From the 1st meeting she took time to get to know our cats (and dog!) Once we were away, she was superb with communication, brilliant and hilarious video updates. House was immaculate and most importantly, the cats were super happy when we got home. Would 💯 recommend. Such a thoughtful and kind person. Our cats loved her! 😍”

“This is the second time Jenny has looked after our Bagel and I can't say enough great things. It's a massive relief to know our cat is in safe hands any time we would go away. Couldn't ask for more and even came home to a wonderful thank you gift! Thank you Jenny and I just hope you're available next time!”

About: I’m very patient and understand different pets need different amounts of time to build trust and I’m more than happy to do so and get to know your lovely pet. I’m currently working part-time and have university so certain time frames for a check in or walk are perfect to slot in for my slightly busy schedule I’ve taught my 8/9 year old many commands and are comfortable with all sizes of dogs and not more than happy to bring treats for your fur pup
About: Hello! I'm Caitlin and I'm a massive animal lover. Growing up we always had lots of animals, especially dogs. Breeds included Labradors, Weimaraners and miniature dachshunds! In the past I have been a member of sites such as 'borrow my doggy' where I would walk peoples dogs for free in the evenings and at weekends. My parents have a whippet who is super sweet and I love taking her on long walks. Unfortunately I can't have a dog of my own at the moment due to working in an office 5 days a week but would love to help you take care of yours when needed! I am available for drop in visits for both cats and dogs weekdays after 6pm and at weekends. Dog walking also available in these time periods. I am also available to take your pets overnight for 1 night or a more extended period (keeping in mind I work Monday-Friday 9-5 so would be out during day on weekdays). I currently work full time Monday - Friday so wouldn't be able to offer weekday services unless I happen to be on holiday. I can offer week nights and weekend services I would always take excellent care of your dog (or cat) and feel I am experienced with the issues that might present themselves. I will always work with you to make sure you're confident and comfortable with my services
“While I'm away, thank you very much for caring for my two boys, Taro and Kuroo. I have no complaints; , everything is perfect. I was pretty anxious about leaving my cat, so I reached out to Leanne to see if she could look after him while I was travelling. She understood my concerns and was very patient with me.”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs from an early age, and caring for them has been a consistent part of my life. My family entrusted me with their care, which gave me extensive experience in handling a variety of breeds. Over the years, I have taken responsibility for feeding, walking, bathing, and providing overall care, ensuring each dog’s well-being to the best of my ability. I currently work part-time, and studying Law at Strathclyde University. My part-time hours mean that I work every Friday, in office which means this is the only day I am unable to look after any dogs. My University timetable is extremely flexible, where I may only be in 1 or 2 hours per day. Every morning I wake up and walk my own dog, making sure he gets big runs and all of his energy out for that morning. After this, I love to take him to the coffee shop where he will always get a pup cup! I will then make sure he is walked at night, and showered if need be before I make sure he’s super cosy for the rest of the night! He has his food and water out all day long, meaning he is able to nudge the door open and get to his food whenever he wishes to do so. He also gets let out for the toilet every 2 hours maximum. I live in a flat, however it is ground floor, with a fenced back garden where it is not possible for any dogs to escape! I love to make sure our pets are nice and cosy, with a place on the sofa with a little blanket for them to lie on, and lots of cosy cuddles! I love to bathe dogs and get them all nice and clean, with a special towel for them to dry on!
About: I have experience with dogs and cats from puppies and kittens into old age. My previous dogs were a golden retriever and a King Charles however I also have a lot of experience with Jack Russells, greyhounds, collies, pugs and german shepards.Have spent most of my life around animals as I grew up on a farm and my sister also has had many horses over the years! I currently work on a relief staff basis so am able to arrange my schedule for work as I want and as long as I have notice can make it so I am free however I do only work night shifts so always free during the day. I live in a ground level flat, I have access to a fenced garden and also am in a place I can easily take pets on walks.
About: **DISCOUNT CODE - LUCYK10726** Currently I live with two mini dachshunds which belong to my flatmate, one is 4 years old and the other is 1 year old. I help feed, walk, and play with the dogs. I have also sat for my aunt's young dog Lottie, and my friend's two cats and their newborn kittens. I have also cared for a senior dog, Basil. At 15 years old he needed to be fed, walked, medicated, bathed, and was given plenty of cuddles and comfort. If you have smaller pets such as hamsters, fish, etc. I can drop in to feed them. I have a few years experience taking care of my own guinea pigs. I am available weekdays from 5pm onwards to walk dogs or pop in quickly to feed any pets. Friday nights may be more flexible, contact me to discuss pet sitting. On weekends, I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for any pet sitting or dog walking needs! :) I am happy to learn about the safety rules put in place for each individual home and/or as is required for each and every pet.

“Leah is lovely and sent us updates and photos every day. Our boys got regular food, playtime and cuddles while we were away, so we came home to a pair of well-fed, happy cats! Would very much recommend Leah to other cat owners.”

About: I've always loved animals- I used to walk neighbours dogs when I was a child but was never allowed one so when I was an adult I finally got two dogs of my own who are my entire world. I run multiple businesses but they are doing well so I now have some extra time on my hands so would love to spend it around animals. I am DBS checked (having done some voluntary work with the elderly previously) and am happy to have some free meet and greets before undertaking any pet care- I completely understand you need to be sure I am the right person to take care of your pet.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Lanarkshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
