“Absolutely wonderful visits from Nicola. From the 1st meeting she took time to get to know our cats (and dog!) Once we were away, she was superb with communication, brilliant and hilarious video updates. House was immaculate and most importantly, the cats were super happy when we got home. Would 💯 recommend. Such a thoughtful and kind person. Our cats loved her! 😍”

About: I've owned dogs and a variety of pets all my life. I completed my Animal Care qualification and also worked in a vets, giving me the knowledge to handle most situations calmly and confidently. I have 2 dogs of my own and regularly pet sit for neighbours, family and friends. I'm caring, compassionate and reliable - your pet will be treated exactly like one of my own. I'm currently working part time in home care, so my hours vary week to week, but I have good flexibility during the day and can often fit in visits between shifts. I'm available for daily drop-ins, garden breaks, feeding visits and short walks for all dogs, including early mornings, afternoons and some weekends depending on my schedule that week. I visit pets in their own home so they stay in a familiar, comfortable environment with their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, garden access and general care, and I'm happy to take dogs of any size out for a short walk on the lead. I always make sure I've got a secure hold and a good feel for a dog's walking style before we set off, so you can be confident your pet is safe with me.
“This is the second time Jenny has looked after our Bagel and I can't say enough great things. It's a massive relief to know our cat is in safe hands any time we would go away. Couldn't ask for more and even came home to a wonderful thank you gift! Thank you Jenny and I just hope you're available next time!”

About: I have a background in childcare, which has helped me develop strong responsibility, patience, and attention to safety. I also have two dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily care, walking routines, feeding, and understanding different behaviours. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and making sure they feel comfortable and well looked after. I’m happy to follow your dog’s routine, whether that’s energetic walks, playtime, or calm companionship. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to build trust and make them feel at ease. You can rely on me to be communicative, and caring, and I’m happy to send updates and photos for peace of mind. I’m available for pet sitting on weekends and for dog walking or drop-in visits after 3pm on weekdays, as I work another job during the day. I’ll always be clear about my availability and make sure your dog gets reliable, consistent care during the times I’ve committed to. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. When visiting your home, I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times and that your dog is safe, calm, and well looked after. I follow your dog’s usual routine closely, including feeding, fresh water, walks, and any specific instructions you provide. I take time to build trust with each dog so they feel comfortable in their own environment. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and always communicate clearly. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

About: Owner of a rescue Lurcher puppy! I understand the importance of meeting a high energy dog’s needs- especially boisterous puppies like my Ozzy. I am well experienced in dog sitting, drop ins, and walking, having done this type of work since a young age, but more consistently in the last four years. I have also done dog/house sitting for THS in various locations from London to South Carolina USA. I am currently 5 months into an intensive training regime with my own rescue puppy and feel from this I have developed a unique set of skills that I would love to use to help other dog owners who perhaps are in a similar situation as me. Because of this, I am open to caring for various dogs- if we are the right match! Does your dog require special handling? I’m experienced with behaviours like reactivity and resource guarding, so don’t worry about this being an “issue”. I am very big on dog training, so more than happy to incorporate what I know into my appointments, and/or continue with any training owners currently have, especially with loose leash walking, impulse control, and recall. I attend 1-2-1 training classes with my own puppy on a monthly basis, and feel like advice and training tips I learn at my lessons can be highly transferable. As an owner of a puppy, pet care is a massive part of my every day. Dogs love predictability & structure and this is very important for their nervous systems. I’m happy to help integrate with your dogs routine where possible! My expertise when it comes to pet care is definitely dog walking. As an owner of a rescue pup every dog walk is a training session. It’s never just a quick walk around the neighbourhood for me. Every walk is an opportunity for dogs to learn about the world around them, and how to behave on lead. This type of practise consists of loose leash walking, heel walking, and trigger disengagement practice- which is especially important if you have a reactive dog, or a dog with a high prey drive. This helps to engage the dogs brain, mentally stimulating them whilst on walks, whilst simultaneously practicing obedience and neutrality. I like to use a long line style lead (not a big fan of retractables) paired with either a collar or harness. If your dog has special equipment or requirements like a harness or muzzle for example, I am happy to continue with whichever method you are using. Consistency is key!
About: I have over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for my family's dog, who was a cherished member of our household. Throughout those years, I was involved in every aspect of their care, including feeding, walking, grooming, administering medication when needed, attending veterinary appointments, and providing daily companionship and attention. This long-term experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to recognize and respond to a dog's physical and emotional needs. Our beloved dog fudge recently passed away, and while it has been a difficult loss, the experience has deepened my appreciation for the bond between people and animals and strengthened my passion for caring for dogs. I currently work from home, however, I am available to travel and work from anywhere that has stable Internet if needed. I am free weekends and can be free from 6pm weekdays. I will ensure all windows remain closed, verify that all areas are free from potential hazards, and confirm that your cat receives adequate playtime, is content, and is properly fed.
About: I have my own dog and take care of friends and families dogs often, I enjoy a big walk and some play time for the dogs. I’m currently not working so I am able to spend as long with your dog as required. I enjoy going walks and playing with dogs. I have a fenced garden that’s secure and I have one daschund. She’s high energy ans enjoys playing and relaxing with other dogs.
“Leanne was absolutely amazing. We were very uneasy about leaving our cat but it was great to get twice daily updates ensuring us she was safe and had been fed. We met up in person before the booking commenced and that put our mind at ease. We wouldn't hesitate to use Leanne again and would 100% recommend her.”

About: I have had pets throughout my life and they are a huge part of my family. I live alone with a dog (5 years old) and cat (15 years old), so I know how important it is for them to be well looked after if you’re unable to. I often pet sit for family and friends and I’ve really enjoyed doing this over the years. I work four days a week and commit to helping Wednesday at any time and then I work flexibly and so can support other days as well. I have my own cat and dog so cannot stay at other people’s houses however I am happy to check in or take dogs out for a good walk. During weekends I am available all day and can support to ensure that your pets are well looked after if you’re unable to. I am a strong believer in treating my animals with love and affection whilst ensuring they are properly trained. They are my family and I know how important it is to know they are being well looked after if you’re unable to.
About: **DISCOUNT CODE - LUCYK10726** Currently I live with two mini dachshunds which belong to my flatmate, one is 4 years old and the other is 1 year old. I help feed, walk, and play with the dogs. I have also sat for my aunt's young dog Lottie, and my friend's two cats and their newborn kittens. I have also cared for a senior dog, Basil. At 15 years old he needed to be fed, walked, medicated, bathed, and was given plenty of cuddles and comfort. If you have smaller pets such as hamsters, fish, etc. I can drop in to feed them. I have a few years experience taking care of my own guinea pigs. I am available weekdays from 5pm onwards to walk dogs or pop in quickly to feed any pets. Friday nights may be more flexible, contact me to discuss pet sitting. On weekends, I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for any pet sitting or dog walking needs! :) I am happy to learn about the safety rules put in place for each individual home and/or as is required for each and every pet.

About: I've always loved animals- I used to walk neighbours dogs when I was a child but was never allowed one so when I was an adult I finally got two dogs of my own who are my entire world. I run multiple businesses but they are doing well so I now have some extra time on my hands so would love to spend it around animals. I know how difficult it is to trust someone to care for your animals the way you do. DBS checked. I'm currently really flexible as I run my own businesses from a laptop. I can work around any schedule your pet needs (mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and weekends). I am DBS checked (having done some voluntary work with the elderly previously) and am happy to have some free meet and greets before undertaking any pet care- I completely understand you need to be sure I am the right person to take care of your pet.
“Holly was super friendly and accommodating when I got in touch with a last minute booking request after struggling to find an available pet-sitter in my area. Holly was happy to look after my two rabbits and my flatmate's cat without issue, and shared photos while we were away. Highly recommended!”

“Jennifer was beyond what I thought a cat sitter would be. My pet cat penny was extremely well looked after. I got a picture every day and an update from Jennifer. My house was as I left it and I would definitely recommend Jennifer to any one needing a cat sitter. Friendly, professional, and very fond of cats is how I would describe Jennifer. I would love to have her back if I go away again.”

Also have 3 crates, 1 being used with my own, which are available for use if needed/requested. Dogs will be allowed on furniture and walked throughout day. If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
