She sent us an update while we were out and let us know that Arlo had been whining and waiting at the back door for us, which we think may be a little separation anxiety. Laura seemed very knowledgeable and experienced in how to handle this and was completely relaxed and reassuring about helping him settle. Arlo can have a few little quirks, particularly around resource guarding but Laura seemed to understand him really well and knew exactly how to approach things. We came away feeling very comfortable that he was in capable hands. We’d be very happy to have Laura look after Arlo again and would definitely recommend her.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have cared for dogs and cats for many years. I grew up with my Labrador, who is now 14, and I helped train and care for her from a puppy through to her senior years. I regularly look after my uncle’s cat and friends’ cats, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and routines. I work in the finance industry and work from home regularly, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to give pets company, attention and care throughout the day. I’m patient, responsible and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I live alone in a flat with no pets of my own, so your pet would have my full attention. I’m particularly suited to cats and smaller, house-trained dogs, and I’m happy to follow individual feeding, walking, medication or routine requirements. I have a secure garden and live in a quiet residential area. As I live in a flat, I’m best suited to smaller, house-trained dogs who are comfortable going outside for regular walks and toilet breaks. I work in the finance industry and work from home regularly, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to give your cat attention throughout the day. I’m available for regular visits, feeding, playtime and companionship, and can work around your cat or dogs usual routine. I live in a clean, comfortable and secure flat with a private, enclosed garden, giving dogs a safe space to get some fresh air and play. I’m happy to take dogs out for walks and toilet breaks and can provide plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. For cats, I can provide a calm and secure environment with plenty of space, cuddles and playtime. I don’t currently have any other pets living with me, so your pet can have my full attention. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs, cats and other pets 10+ years. I worked at a doggy day care centre in 2023 for just under a year. This centre was ran by two sisters who were trained in animal care and behavioural management. I gained valuable experience and knowledge about difference breeds of dogs, conditions and behaviour whilst I was there. I am also in my final year of my veterinary bioscience degree. Throughout the course we have had many modules around animal care and management. We have also had practical, hands on experience with the care of cats, dogs, farm animals and small animals. I’m currently working part-time as a support worker for vulnerable adults with disabilities. I am 9am-4pm, Monday-Wednesday week 1. 9am-4pm, Monday-Tuesday week 2. I have availability to pop in for visits whenever as I can visit before or after work. Same goes for walks. Please don’t hesitate to send me a big long list of needs/requirements for your pet. Also quirks and normal behaviour for your pet too. Would much rather have too much information than not enough. When someone is caring for my cat I print out and email them a word doc. I will not judge you for this, infact it is encouraged 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 I have an SUV car which I can transport dogs in no bother. It’s leather seats so can just be wiped. I have dog seatbelts from looking after my friends dogs. I am happy to crate pets if instructed too. I am comfortable with most types of behaviour management

We have a fenced garden where your dog can play safely or rest.We have a springador called Toby who is 9.He loves the company of other dogs and sharing his toys and going for walks for any new friends.Toby has issues with his back but is still active and full of fun and character.He is a friendly boy and is sometimes a little shy at first but makes friends quickly. About: Not had my own dogs before but have looked after friends previously. Happy to do multiple big walks a day as required and even runs if they like that! I currently work doing workshops in schools which is mostly term time and during the day. Some days there isn’t any work in a school and just working from home one or two days a week I have a large grassy garden for a pet to run around in which is secure. My fiancé and I also regularly take walks in the week and larger walks on the weekend and do love to hike so if your pet enjoys big long walks we can happily get them bagging some munros!

About: I've owned dogs and a variety of pets all my life. I completed my Animal Care qualification and also worked in a vets, giving me the knowledge to handle most situations calmly and confidently. I have 2 dogs of my own and regularly pet sit for neighbours, family and friends. I'm caring, compassionate and reliable - your pet will be treated exactly like one of my own. I'm currently working part time in home care, so my hours vary week to week, but I have good flexibility during the day and can often fit in visits between shifts. I'm available for daily drop-ins, garden breaks, feeding visits and short walks for all dogs, including early mornings, afternoons and some weekends depending on my schedule that week. I visit pets in their own home so they stay in a familiar, comfortable environment with their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, garden access and general care, and I'm happy to take dogs of any size out for a short walk on the lead. I have also sat for my aunt's young dog Lottie, and my friend's two cats and their newborn kittens. I have also cared for a senior dog, Basil. At 15 years old he needed to be fed, walked, medicated, bathed, and was given plenty of cuddles and comfort. If you have smaller pets such as hamsters, fish, etc. I can drop in to feed them. I have a few years experience taking care of my own guinea pigs. I am available weekdays from 5pm onwards to walk dogs or pop in quickly to feed any pets. Friday nights may be more flexible, contact me to discuss pet sitting. On weekends, I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for any pet sitting or dog walking needs! :) I am happy to learn about the safety rules put in place for each individual home and/or as is required for each and every pet.

I’m a very caring individual with a deep love of nature. I have a beautiful cat who is 13 and I rescued Bertie two years ago. He is a German spitz mix. I trained Bertie myself and he comes on walks regularly with me. If your dog prefers a solo walk, that’s absolutely fine! From the tiniest pup to old English sheepdogs I’ve looked after them all. I am very understanding and like to get to know each animal I care for. All animals are different and have a routine that really helps with their anxiety, behaviour and well being. I take the time to understand their needs and make sure they are happy and content. To me, there is no greater joy than seeing an animal or child happy. I find out firstly the owners needs and make sure I follow their guidance. This is very important to me as you are trusting me to support you in caring for your family member. During toilet break visits I always spend time with the cat or dog as I don’t like to leave them unless the owner wishes. This is just to bond with them and give them some company before leaving. When dogs are in my home or staying I make sure that the dogs routine is similar to their home comforts. My children are around dogs daily and adore them. They are gentle, caring and understand boundaries. I provide updates, pictures and video calls for anyone who would like to check in with their beloved pooch. My garden has seven foot high fencing which is secure. No puppers have escaped which is reassuring and allows me to let them explore the garden if they like being outside. Lastly and most importantly I will love your dog or cat like they are my own. Cuddles, snuggles, attention, walks, reassurance and the occasional sing song!
