About: I’ve had small pets all my life, both Dogs and Cats. My favourite time is time with my pet family. Walks, playing and training and resting together I currently have a lead reactive rescue poodle who needs lots of love and support plus boundaries to be his best self. I also have a handsome poodle cross who I’ve had since a 12 week puppy. He’s an absolute cracker. I have three cats - all rescues and one has three legs. Being retired I have time now to help other pet owners too. I’m experience at care, especially giving medication and keeping them safe and happy. I will look after your pets needs keeping you regularly updated. Let’s chat and see if I’m the right fit for you and your pet family. I am retired so it’s easy to fit around your routine and needs. Let’s chat so you get to know me and I can understand what you are looking for. I have a safe, walled back garden with grass and a patio. I have a large house with plenty of room and safe spaces. I’m happy to come to you and follow your routine.
“As always, Chloe was superb. She dropped in twice to see that Bella was ok, while I had to be away for the day. Bella enjoys Chloe's visits and gets her food and a potty break on each visit. Always a pleasure to have Chloe look after my girls when I need it.”

“Robyn has been amazing from start to finish - she met my friend who was passing her the keys a day early to meet Frankie for a smooth handover. She sent me photos every day and gave him loads of cuddles, and spent a bit of extra time with him when she had spare time one day. Honestly, 10/10 recommend. My friend who passed her the keys also said how lovely Robyn is in person too ♥️ Thank you for everything 🥰”

“Dylan took great care of my very high energy Cocker Spaniel puppy. It was my first time using the app so I was a little anxious about the whole thing but he was super patient, friendly and accommodating of meeting us beforehand! It's clear that he loves dogs 🐶 Will definitely be booking him again - I'm sure my pup will be delighted! Thanks Dylan ☺️”

About: I have had dogs for my entire life and have never met a dog I didn’t love. I currently have two beloved Puggles, Cooper and Shadow. I also have three regular dog-walking clients that I walk three times a week, two of whom I have been walking for over a year. In addition, I frequently care for a relative’s dog during holidays. I am also fully insured for dog walking and pet transportation. *Holiday update- I am now available at any time unless stated otherwise on my calendar between 30/06/26 and 14/08/26.* I am typically available after 3pm from Monday-Friday and all day at weekends. During holidays, I will be available at any time. I currently walk at least one dog (in addition to my own dogs) every day of the week. I treat dogs with care and respect and have developed positive relationships with the dogs I am responsible for. They look forward to walking with me as much as I look forward to walking with them and I have created a trusting and nurturing environment.
About: I've taken care of my own dog for roughly 10 years, and have dog sat for friends while they are away, I've looked after older dogs and puppies, anxious dogs and hyperactive dogs. I am currently at college throughout the week, and am currently unemployed therefore my weekends are freed up and I can walk or look after the dogs throughout the evenings. I am adatable to different surroundings, I am comfortable with having to crate dogs or put them in a separate room, I enjoy walking them and giving them all the attention they could want.
“Cristina has been a repeat cat sitter, and my very stranger-wary kitty has warmed up to her wonderfully. I'm super grateful for her services and for the care she's provided. I've been able to enjoy my time away without having to worry that my kittr will be well looked after. Thank you again Cristina.”

About: I have been looking after and walking dogs since the age of 12, my family members and friends often rely on me to take their dogs on toilet breaks and walks allowing them to get exercises when the owner is unable to do so. For the past three years I have been dog sitting in owners homes while they are on holiday to ensure as little disruption to the pet as possible. I’m currently working part time, just three nights a week, so I’ll have plenty of free time to play, walk and engage with your puppy I will care for your fur baby, by stepping into their routine with as little disruption as possible. This will be done by getting clear instructions, knowing emergency contacts, pets will feel comfortable in their own home surrounded by comforting items.

“Lucy was reliable and friendly and we were happy to leave Maximus in her care. He is a bit old and grumpy, but we think he responded well to her with the help of some dreamies. Would definitely reccomend and would happily book Lucy again.”

About: Since primary school, I have often taken care of my brother's or friends' dogs or cats, and I am very patient and careful with them! I'm currently a student at the University of Glasgow and I don't have a lot of classes this semester so I'm available every week except Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I can't easily bring them home as I live in a student flat in the city centre As I live in a student flat in the city centre, it's not convenient to bring them home. But I can take them for walks in parks, such as to the one next to Glasgow University (I go for walks in these places quite often). I'm also considering looking after them during the day at the pet owner's house.

“Mark was an absolute dream of a dog sitter from start to finish. From the moment we met him, it was obvious how genuinely caring, attentive, and experienced he is with dogs. He took the time during the meet and greet to ask lots of thoughtful questions about Happy’s routine, personality, and needs, which immediately reassured us that she would be in safe hands. Throughout the evening, he spent quality time with her and made every effort to keep her routine as normal and comforting as possible. He worked closely with both my partner and me to make sure Happy felt secure, relaxed, and cared for while we were away, and it truly showed when we got home. She was completely settled, calm, and her usual happy self — which says everything about how wonderful Mark was with her. It’s such a relief finding someone you can genuinely trust with your dog, especially when they mean so much to you, and Mark exceeded all of our expectations. Professional, kind, patient, and clearly passionate about animals, he made the entire experience stress-free for us. We would absolutely book with him again without hesitation and couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Thank you so much, Mark — you were fantastic with Happy! 🐾”

About: Hi I am Frances, anyone that spends five minutes in my company will tell you that I love all animals but especially Dogs, I feel as though they are just beautiful, caring, compassionate, clever and all round awesome beings that we don't deserve. Can't help but smile when in their company, Living their best life every day in the moment. No coincidence that their name is God backwards. I have had 2 dogs of my own in the past who I consider to be my family and am at a loss without my Son at the moment. I babysit for my friends Dogs if they have commitments elsewhere and consider it a privilege to do so. You don't have to own a dog to be my friend, but it helps :). Rest assured your fur babies are spoiled with me and we have fun playing, and chilling in between the adventure walks with lot's of Pink Panther sniffing / investigating to be done as well as special treat sausages from the Local Butchers with your permission of course. I have recently returned from Rwanda and Uganda where I had an amazing experience trekking in the National Forest Park to see the mighty Silverback Gorilla and his family. I have also travelled to Borneo where I volunteered at an Orangutan Sanctuary ( Jungle School - on Netflix ) and have also volunteered with the SSPCA in the past too. It would be an absolute pleasure to look after your furry family member and would be awesome to be their honorary Auntie and included in their pack. I currently work from home Monday and Friday from 8.30 to 3.30 and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30 to 4.30. I am therefore able to look after your Fur babies for long weekends Fri to Mon easily fitting in with their own specific schedules. I am hoping to be able to make this a full time job in the future, as it would be a dream come true to be able to care for your pets and be paid to do so?! In an ideal world I would have won the lottery and I would pay you for the privilege of your babies company. I have a private fenced garden that allows security and safety for your pet to be able to go out for fresh air throughout the day in between the bigger walks - minimum of an hour of sniffing if allowed. Your pet will be allowed up on the couch and bed with fluffy blankets for comfort if allowed only, as I would not allow if not the norm for pet. All their requirements will be adhered and catered for, so as not to disrupt their usual routine.

About: Hi my name is Andrew and I'm a huge animal lover. I've had pets all my life and I have been dog sitting for over two years. I looked after a litter of seven puppies and have owned one of them for seven years. I have also looked after cats, guinea pigs and reptiles and I always make sure all animals are well fed and watered and the right amount of exercise and cuddles are provided. I'm a good reader of animal body language and I can always tell when something is wrong or they aren't well. This would be the ideal job for me as my love for animals is infinite and I do everything in my power to keep them strong and healthy and have a good happy life. I'm looking for dog walking opportunities near my home where i can take them out and back and make sure they're fed and watered. I'm unemployed atm so I have plenty of time on my hands to take your furty friends out for walks. Plenty of parks and grass near me to take the dogs to and hoping the owners have a similar situation but if not I'm happy to walk to the closest park as i like exercising myself.

What an angel! 💕 Not only did she put Bramble at complete ease while looking after him, but kept me so well up to date with how he was that I didn't worry once while I was away. Detailed updates, extra videos outside of the visit cards, and just genuine care for Bramble. Every visit she took time to get to know him, what he was comfortable with and met him with whatever attention he wanted. Bramble is on a specific diet and she stuck to it to a T. 10/10 sitter and I'd happily recommend Erin to anyone ♥️

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Renfrewshire pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Renfrewshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
