“Leah was amazing with our cats, our cats clearly felt very safe around her as my older cat usually never comes out for strangers. She must’ve felt like a safe place for my pets which completely put me and my partner at ease. Got good photos and updates of both and were well taken care of and looked very happy with her. ☺️”

“Sarah has been fantastic with Coupar right from the start. She kindly came out for a meet-and-greet beforehand (at no extra charge), which was really helpful and gave me peace of mind. On the day of the walk, she arrived exactly on time, followed my instructions perfectly and made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Coupar was clearly happy and relaxed afterwards, and it was lovely to receive photos from their walk. Sarah followed everything to the letter, including feeding him after the walk, and it was clear she genuinely cares. I’d absolutely book her again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others!”

“This was my first time Useing this app and I came across Hannah and she was amazing she repiled so fast she meet up with myself and my dog. And she took very good care of my dog she sent me texts and videos of everything and everything I ask her to do for my dog she done it and kept me updated. Luna was so happy when she was careing for her I would recommend her to everone such a lovely careing friendly person towards me and dog, very trustworthy I will definitely be booking in again to use her when I need to for Luna felt like she was in best safe hands.”

“Lewis was great. He came for a meet and greet and was happy to help out with my older dog/rescue puppy dynamic. The dogs like him instantly and he was super at dealing with a pup break free attempt, sorry about that Lewis! I highly recommend Lewis as a pet carer.”

About: I’m thrilled to offer help with your furry babies whenever you need it🫶🏻 I’m happy owner of sweet English bullterrier girl, so I understand how important it is to find safe and reliable place for your pet while you’re away. I’ve been raising cats and dogs since I was a little. All the strays found temporary or permanent homes with me. I’ve grown up in the countryside so helping with animals is my second nature. I’m currently studying so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m available mostly between 9-12 , 12:30-2:30pm and 3:30-8pm during the week. I spend every available time with my own furry baby, so there is a lot of walks and playtime in the garden during the day. I have fenced garden and the dog of my own which is really friendly with other animals. I can easily create peaceful and quiet environment for your pet.
About: Experienced with large, high-energy dogs and senior pets. Owner of a young Doberman-Lab cross; previously cared for Rottweiler, German Shepherd, and cats living into their mid-20s. I have a flexible schedule with plenty of spare time. I actively train and care for my own large dog, so I’m available for regular walks and in-home sitting. I prioritise safety, routine, and clear communication at all times. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I follow their instructions closely, maintain normal routines, and ensure the environment is secure and calm. For walks, I use appropriate leads and harnesses, assess surroundings carefully, and adjust walks to each dog’s temperament, whether solo or group. I monitor behaviour, energy levels, and wellbeing throughout. I keep homes tidy and respected, provide regular updates, and always aim to create a stress-free, trustworthy experience for both pets and owners.
About: I’ve grown up most of my life having handled dogs and cats, mostly big dogs like German Shepherds and labradors which I used to train and take on walks. I now have a cat and a Jack Russell of my own. I currently work full time local to home during the weekdays although I am able to care for and walk dogs before and after work and/or any times on the weekends I have a larger home with plenty of space and my dog is well versed in going out on a lead. My cat is relaxed and unbothered old boy who just likes his peace in the windowsill.
“Tímea loves animals and she pays attention to everything that relates to taking care of a pet. She did an exemplary job at visiting my cat 3 days in a row while I was away. Highly recommend her!”

About: I have many years experience as a dog owner from childhood and, more recently, having done over 50 petsits since 2020 caring for a wide variety of dogs, cats, small animals, chickens and the occasional pony/horse. I adore animals and pride myself on ensuring that pets are safe and secure in their own home while their pet parents are absent. I am spotlessly clean and organised and work around the routine of the animals I care for, while ensuring that the home I am staying in is kept immaculately clean and secure. I currently work online as an English language tutor, approximately 3 mornings a week for a total of around 10 hours. This has always worked out well and complimented my pet-caring work as the teaching fits well around caring for animals in their homes. However, I emphasise that I work around the individual needs and routine of the animals I care for as they are the utmost priority. Before accepting a petsit, I make absolutely sure that the 'fit' is right for both me, the home owner and, most importantly, for the animal. If I feel that I can't provide exactly the care that an animal requires, then I will not accept the work. I do this first and foremost because I love animals. I like to make sure that the home/animal owner fills me in completely on what is required to both care for their pets and their home and that everything is in place to ensure confidence from everyone concerned. Once I am certain that I can confidently provide what is required I am prepared to accept a new client.

“Ellie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From our very first messages on Rover, she was kind, accommodating and incredibly understanding of Panda’s needs. Panda is a very fearful rescue dog with a complex background, so finding someone who truly understands anxious dogs is not easy. During the meet and greet, Ellie immediately respected Panda’s need for space and let her set the pace. She has such a calm, gentle energy that Panda picked up on straight away. To my surprise, Panda chose to interact with Ellie very soon, something that rarely happens. Normally she needs much longer to build trust, but with Ellie she felt safe from the very beginning. That speaks volumes about Ellie’s patience, empathy and natural understanding of animal behaviour. Throughout the visits, Ellie followed Panda’s routine perfectly, gave her the time she needed, and made the whole experience completely stress-free for both of us. Knowing Panda was with someone who genuinely cared and understood her allowed me to relax while I was away. I couldn’t recommend Ellie more highly. Whether your pet is confident or has additional behavioural or emotional needs, Ellie has the patience, compassion and knowledge to make them feel safe. She is an exceptional dog sitter, and I’ll definitely be booking her again. Thank you, Ellie! ❤️🐾”

About: I may not own a dog, but I’ve happily walked friends’ dogs, know how to feed and water them, and always give care and attention. I study fine art full time and work part time but that doesn’t stop me from checking on all pets. That can be some days a week or on the weekends. I will always ask you the owner what you are comfortable with me doing as it is your pet and your home. I can easily adapt to whatever you need me to do.
“Claire done some pop in visits to my home to take care of my puppy while I was away. She and her husband were amazing, and took really good care of my dog. They are very responsible and always look for the best way to take care of him. Couldn’t recommend enough.”
“Lucy is super gentle and helpful! I don't usually get a pet sitter, especially for such a short trip away, but my fur baby had an ear infection that needed a tablet and ear drops daily to cure. Lucy helped out with that and my babies liked her so much!”

About: I love all animals. I’ve known dogs and cats since I was very young. Started professionally 7 yrs ago with voluntary dog training classes then started my business called Livingston Village Pet Buddy. I walk dogs and do pet sitting and have availability at the moment. Walking times range from 20 mins to 1 hr. Puppy sessions from 20 to 45 mins. If home visits are required, I will make sure everyone is safe, clean, fed, and have fun and cuddles (if possible) and is treated with fairness.
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and spent my childhood helping in my family’s boarding kennels, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. We have a spacious, secure garden where visiting dogs can play and relax, and I’m home full‑time so there’s always someone around. Our two dogs -Ralph, our gentle 11‑year‑old Jack Russell who spends the day sleeping by the fire, and Betsy our playful 1‑year‑old Beagle - love the company. Our daughters (5 and 8) adore animals too and keep the dogs entertained with games, cuddles, and the occasional sneaky treat. We live close to beautiful woodlands and reservoirs, so daily walks are part of our routine, your dog will always have company, comfort, and plenty of fun. I can be very flexible around your needs and scheduled. I also drive so can offer pick up/drop offs, a few days notice usually required. In my home, dogs enjoy constant company, a secure garden to explore, and a calm, family‑friendly atmosphere. I keep each pet’s usual routine at the heart of their stay; feeding times, walks, play, and quiet moments so they feel settled and safe from day one. We head out on daily woodland or reservoir walks & there is always someone at home to offer reassurance, attention, and plenty of affection.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was little. With this being my own dog to a family dog, to a friends dog to a neighbours dogs. I have always been around dogs until my last dog (a working cocker spaniel) sadly passed and left me with this big whole to fill. Due to past working commitments I haven't filled this hole but would love to now fill it with giving the best walks, care and love to your four legged friends. I will treat your dog like it's my own and send you doggy updates on our adventures together. :) I am currently work part time Wednesday - Thursday but in the future and looking to start up my own dog walking business to suit my new family lifestyle. I now have time to care and look after your dog(s) throughout the week from a drop in visit to an exploring the world outside to suit around my new first time mummy life. I will listen to yours and your dogs needs and rules and build up a trusting relationship, this can be from your own home to walks around the neighbourhood. I am happy to meet you and your dog before to see how we get on.

Ellie was great! Quick to respond to messages on the app and very friendly and easy to talk to. I liked that she has cats herself so I was confident she’d be grand with our two. Service was carried out with no issues and I appreciated the photos she sent, so cute! 🥰 Would definitely book again!

Sarah dropped in to look after my kitten for a couple of days, and I can very much recommend her :) clear and prompt communication, great report notes, amazing pictures of my cat, and I came back to a very happy kitten ☺️ would happily book again when the need arises!

Lewis was great. He came for a meet and greet and was happy to help out with my older dog/rescue puppy dynamic. The dogs like him instantly and he was super at dealing with a pup break free attempt, sorry about that Lewis! I highly recommend Lewis as a pet carer.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
