“I picked Bear up from Debbie’s and as usual he was excited to see me. He was in tip top condition and looked like he was enjoying life. Only thing that would have made it better was saying our goodbyes to Debbie. Thank you for having Bear. I would absolutely use Debbie’s services again if the family were not able as this time. ❤️”

“Was really worried about leaving my puppy,But didn’t have to worry as Andreea and Brodie where really great people treated Sky just like their own dog Marcel,Also kept me updated on how Sky was doing by sending me pictures and videos of her,Can’t praise them enough would happily and genuinely say if you’re looking for a good dog sitter go to them,They’ll give your dog or puppy the attention and affection that you give to your pet,I said before that I was worried because I was leaving Sky for 3wks which is a long time especially for a puppy but need’ent have bothered as she was really looked after by Andreea and Brodie,Would recommend them 100%,”

“Julie and her husband recently looked after my 6 year old Cavapoo, Lottie. They are a lovely couple and Lottie was so well looked after. I felt really confident leaving Lottie with them and I felt like they were a perfect match for her. Julie kept me updated with photos and videos during Lottie’s stay which was lovely. I would highly recommend them and look forward to using their services again.”

“It was our first time leaving Bruno with Anastasiia and her partner, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We received photo updates, which was lovely and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Bruno always looked happy, relaxed, and comfortable with them, which was the most important thing for us. They clearly took great care of him and made him feel at home. We would definitely recommend Anastasiia and her partner and would be very happy to have them look after Bruno again!”

“Stan and lady were a treat. Stan is exceptional in communication and is very friendly. Lady is well mannered too and she and Jura got on well. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Stan and Lady and would book in Jura again if required. Thank you Stan!”

“Such lovely people, you can tell that they genuinely love what they do…Our pointer Puddle went to stay for a trial as he is a very anxious dog and has massive separation issues….Puddle loved the walks they went on and loved Grant and Angela but just wouldn’t settle down, he kept howling for us…We knew it might have been a problem, so thank you for giving it a go….I would recommend Grant and Angela 100%”

“Abbigael was amazing with Koda and her collie Juniper was a joy. A perfect package. Very professional, from meeting b4 hand to make sure both dogs were happy to be in each others company, to keeping us updated every day with photos and videos. This was our first time leaving Koda for anymore than 1 night and we were apprehensive but From the first videos you could tell Koda was loving her stay . Abbigael will absolutely be my first choice for Koda, where overnight care is needed in the future.”

“Rufus seems to have had a great time with Natalie and her family. She kept us updated, sending photos and was very accommodating of his needs (4am toilet trips!). Thanks again.”

“5***** doggy boarding experience. Highly recommended. Lynh is very accommodating and caring towards our little girl. T looks forward to visiting again soon. :)”

“Having never used Rover before, we were a bit cautious. Kelly was happy to come meet us prior to Al staying which put our minds at rest. Safe to say, Kelly has become his new best friend, cannot recommend her enough, we were away for a weeks holiday and he has come back from his doggy holiday as happy as can be. Will definitely be booking with Kelly again. Would give 10 stars if possible, thank you Kelly for looking after our boy for us. Ps, we think he is missing you.”

“Rhiannon was very kind, thoughtful and kind towards Alfie. She asked lots of good questions about his care, and was obviously concerned to give him an enjoyable stay. She clearly succeeded- he came back relaxed and happy having had good long walks and a welcoming household to stay with. Thank you Rhiannon and family . :))))”

“Very good and loads of pictures on a daily basis, we have already booked the next 2 holidays and planning on using again for next year's ones (we go away 3-4 times a year so want to make sure mr bean is happy when we away). Highly recommend”

“Rachel was looking after my springer spaniel Piper when I went South for work. I received many updates and photos/videos of Piper enjoying her little holiday. Rachel is a caring and very friendly person who will love your dogs as if they were her own. She's quick to respond to the enquiries/messages and even accommodated for the extension to Piper's stay when the need arose. I'm very happy that I found her and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend Rachel for your dog care.”

“I have never felt so relaxed putting my boys to home boarding as I did Friday, Both of use have been amazing helping with the booking, and arranging plans in such short notice, working around us and helping to fit in with plans we had for collection/drop off. The updates received really made me feel at ease and I was able to relax knowing my boys were settled and comfortable in your home environment. The tiktok video got me emotional. Thank you ever so much for having my boys, I will be using you forever now. Can’t thank use enough ❤️.”

“Another great stay for our two girls. Got plenty of pictures and updates during their stay from Mairi. It’s like a second home for Skye and Ceilidh now and they love Oscar so much. They can’t wait to stay over again”

“Caity looked after our Cavapoochon Bailey for a week and he had the best time! Lovely walks on the beach and snuggles on the couch - his favourite things to do 😊 Bailey can be a bit anxious and isn't great with other dogs, so having the beach on the doorstep was great for him as he was able to have lovely quiet walks there. Caity was very communicative throughout the week and sent lots of photos of Bailey enjoying himself. Would definitely recommend Caity and hope Bailey will be able to stay with her again”

Andrea looked after my wee Juno at short notice while I had to go down south. Not only was she able to accommodate at short notice but she sent me many video and photo updates for how she is getting on, from what I saw they both had a blast. All of the things Juno needed were attended to, she was looked after so well I think she almost wanted to stay with Andrea, she was made very comfortable. I would trust Andrea with Juno any time😁

Molly had a great 10 days with Abbie, Alex and Juniper. Abbie took great care in finding out about her needs, meeting her a couple of times beforehand and introducing her to the ever-patient Juniper. She sent reassuring photos of Molly on long adventurous walks and looking very much at home on the sofa. Thank you!
Abbigael and Alex are fantastic and so friendly. They sent regular updates of him exploring the area, swimming and chilling at home. I could tell from the videos that my dog had settled really well which is such a relief when your away. Will absoloutly without doubt be booking again when I next need a sitter.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
