“Amazing communication from Flynn, they came over to meet Lupin before hand and really took the time for him to come over and say hello. On the times we were away Flynn kept us updated, gave detailed report cards and lots of photos of Lupin which made us feel very at ease. We came home to everything tidied away and even went the extra mile to clean Lupins litter tray for us. Will 100% book again and I'm sure Lupin is looking forward to seeing Flynn again as every time the door opens, he's looking around for them 🥰”

“Johanna visit my cat, Tux, while I was away for a few days, feeding, changing litter, having play time. Johannah clearly loves animals and is kind and conscientious. She always communicated well and sent messages and photos. I wouldn't hesitate to ask her back or to recommend her to look after your pet.”

“Abbigael was welcoming to Jacqui when we arrived and very excited to stay with her. On returning Abbigael told me all about Jacqui's visit, what they had been up to and how she had reacted. She obviously had a great time as she was very happy and quite tired out. Not an easy task for this active young pup. I am now very happy to be leaving her for a longer stay.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of ever kind since I was young For friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages and breeds. I am currently unemployed, which means I have a lot of free time and my schedule is quite open. I don't have many commitments or a busy agenda, so I am available at any time that works for you. I have a fenced garden with plenty of space to play in. I also have a small terrier who is very friendly and gets along with other dogs. I can follow any special instructions aswell.
“Tess looked after Freddie on two of my office days this week and was fantastic. Communication was excellent, she was always on time, and I received lovely photo updates throughout. Freddie clearly had a great time! I’d happily recommend Tess to friends and would absolutely rely on her again whenever Freddie needs care 😊”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, cared for hamsters, and even now I share my home with two amazing rescue dogs, a pampered rescue cat, a turtle, and some fish I adore! My oldest dog, Annie, came to me at 5 years old after a tough start in life. She was timid and shut down, but with love and patience, she blossomed into a confident, happy girl. My other dog, Chip, was rescued as a puppy when no one wanted him—something I’ll never understand. He’s been my shadow ever since. I even rescued a cat from Dubai who was about to be abandoned during severe floods. She now lives a life full of love, comfort, and cuddles. Caring for animals is a passion for me. I truly melt with any animal I meet, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I only wish I’d pursued this path sooner, but now I’m making that dream a reality. What sets me apart is my genuine love , patience and care I offer to every animal, especially those who need a little extra time and understanding. All prices can be negotiated don’t hesitate to message me:) I work a 24-hour on, 48-hour off shift pattern—which means I’ve got loads of free time to spend with your furry (or scaly!) friends. On my days off, I’m home and fully available for walks, cuddles, and playtime. I live with my partner who’s just as animal-obsessed as I am, so there’s always someone around to give our own little zoo plenty of love! When I’m working, our dogs love going for a little holiday at gran and grandad’s, and sometimes they even tag along to work with me (they’re practically on payroll at this point earning pawnies!) I’ll always check in with you before making any plans, and if anything comes up last minute and I can help—you can count on me. Flexibility, fun, and furry cuddles are what I’m all about! I also would have my doggos stay at their grandparents for the duration of your dogs stay! Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m popping over to care for them in your home, their safety and happiness are always my top priority. I treat every animal like they’re part of my own little crew—and that means lots of love, patience, and attention to their individual needs. My home is pet-friendly, calm, and secure, with plenty of space for relaxing, playing, and cuddling up. I have two friendly dogs who are great with other animals, plus a cat who does her own thing and a turtle who’s surprisingly social! If your pet prefers their own space or needs a quieter setup, I can absolutely accommodate that too! In your home, I make sure to stick to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, keeping everything familiar and stress-free. I’ll send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and safe, and I always make sure your home is respected and left just as I found it.

“Laura is a shy cat whisperer! She managed to make friends with my Catuta that is so scared of anyone new! She sent me great photos of every visit that gave me so much peace of mind! She was quick to respond and saved me and my pets when my trip back home became a nightmare. I highly recommend her! Thank you so much Laura!”

About: Hi there! I am grad of New York University (BFA) and Drama Centre London (MA), living in London on the Global Talent Visa. I grew up with many pets in my life. I had never owned less than three dogs until I left my home in Orange County for the big apple where I studied at NYU. I have a huge space in my heart for animals and would love to spend some time caring for your dog(s) or cat(s). I have a great deal of experience dog walking, sitting, and boarding both inside and outside of Rover. In moving across the pond, I had to say a sad 'see ya later' to my favorite little cutie pies back home -- Dallas a sweet, sweet chocolate lab, and Abby and Bella, the cutest little cockapoos that ever were. The good news about my doggy withdrawal is that your pets will get more than enough attention, walks/runs, play time, and cuddle time. I am very attentive and sensitive to the needs of animals -- I nearly became a veterinarian before I decided to follow my passion in the arts. I am writing a feature film which means I will be home with the doggos a lot of the time, working on that project and a few other jobs I do remotely. I run a theatre production company and am in pre-production as well for a few films. I am very responsible and will take such good care of your furry friends! Look forward to meeting you and them :) I am an actor, so in between jobs I have quite a flexible schedule. Currently working on writing a screenplay and other remote projects which means I will have plenty of time for your pets! I will always make sure your dog or cat is as safe as can possibly be and will confirm details with you when staying in your home or boarding at mine about what they are used to, and what will make them feel cozy and safe etc.
“Ana was great! She looked after our cats over Christmas, and we returned to two happy and relaxed kitties, along with a tidy home. She kept us up to date daily, and communication was always quick and easy. Thank you! :) ”

“Thanks Amaris! This was my first time using Rover and Amaris was great! Wallace seemed totally unbothered that I had left him! Amaris was great at communicating with me and I knew she would look after my puppy! Thank you!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of different breeds through looking after family and friends dogs. They relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I am currently at Abertay University studying Food, Nutrition, and Health. Therefore, i would love to take care of your pets in my spare time! I have a closed off garden to keep your dogs safe. I can easily crate your dogs also if that is what you would be looking to do.
About: My name is Yujie, and I am absolutely thrilled at being a dog walker! Ever since I was six years old, dogs have been a huge part of my life. My first puppy and I grew up side by side, and those memories still warm my heart today. I remember countless nights, too excited to sleep, just checking in on my little furry friend to make sure he was safe. Currently, I’m based in the UK where I recently completed my PhD. As I prepare for my next career step in the US, I find myself missing the joyful presence of a pet. Though my current flat restricts me from having my own dog, I always light up seeing others enjoy their time with their pets. It’s a beautiful sight that fills me with happiness! Becoming a dog walker is the perfect opportunity for me to immerse myself in what I love and to enhance my financial stability as I transition. I’m an avid fitness enthusiast—walking beaches and hiking hills daily, easily surpassing 10,000 steps. I’m energized and ready to provide lively, loving care to dogs that crave fun and adventurous walks! I’m looking forward to giving my all to ensure your beloved pet has a joyful and safe experience with every step we take together. Thank you for considering me; I am eager to bring lots of energy and care to your dog’s daily life! Currently, I work 10-20 hours a week in a role that offers me a great deal of flexibility. This arrangement allows me to devote most of my time to dog walking, ensuring I can easily accommodate various schedules and provide ample attention and care to each dog I have the pleasure of walking. With my enthusiasm for staying active and exploring the outdoors, I'm excited about the opportunity to incorporate dog walking into my daily activities, enhancing both my physical well-being and financial situation. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a pet owner's home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment. In my home, I ensure that all areas accessible to pets are clean, secure, and free of any hazards. I provide plenty of fresh water and healthy treats, and I follow any specific dietary or care instructions provided by the pet owner meticulously. In a pet owner's home, I am very respectful of their space and privacy. I make sure to keep everything tidy and as I found it. I pay close attention to the pet's routine and try to adhere to it as closely as possible to maintain a sense of normalcy for the pet. I also provide regular updates and photos to the owners, so they feel reassured that their beloved companion is in good hands. Safety is my top priority, so I am attentive to the pet’s health and well-being during our time together, promptly addressing any unusual signs or behaviors by contacting the owner or a veterinarian if necessary. By showing respect, providing attentive care, and maintaining clear communication, I ensure that both the pets and their owners are happy and satisfied with my service.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
