About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, I currently have 2 spaniels aged 11 and 7, who are great with other dogs and humans. I trained them as puppies to have perfect recal, be house trained and to do all the cute commands which is something I can certainly help your puppy with. I also love dogs of all ages and sizes and will give them all the cuddles, attention and walks they need. I am no stranger to administering medication and will strictly follow your rules on food and whether they are allowed on furniture etc. my favourite activities in life are walking and playing with dogs. I am currently working freelance which means I am able to work around your needs. I can start as early or work as late as needed to fit your work schedule or around your holidays to make sure your dogs are well taken care of. I have a fenced back garden with a gate into a lovely quiet wooded area, so when your dogs are boarding with me they will be able to have lots of great walks in the woods as well as plenty of time in the garden. The garden fence is fully secure so there is no chance of them escaping, I have watched a 3lb puppy previously who wasn’t even able to slip under the fence so you know it is secure.
“I recently had my dog with Michéle, and her service was outstanding. Despite my dog's challenging energy levels, Michéle provided exceptional care, ensuring he was well-exercised and content throughout the stay. Her attention to detail and genuine affection for dogs was evident, making the experience stress-free for both me and my pet. I highly recommend Michéle for anyone who is looking for a friendly and absolutely reliable help with their dog. As a bonus, she also took amazing photos of our pup :)”

“We honestly could not be happier with Lenka and her family. Everyday updates, photos and videos of our little one. She has came home so happy. And we were so happy knowing how well cared for she was. I could not recommend Lenka highly enough!”

“We had an amazing experience with Sophie. Dakota loved getting out for plenty of walks and also loved enjoying joining them for runs. She was also very understanding of our awkward and late drop off/pick up times. Thank you Sophie!”

“Rachel was amazing!!! Not only did she do absolutely everything to make sure our pup Nala was happy and comfortable but also sent us updates so we could see how she was doing ☺️ we could tell straight away Nala felt at ease with Rachel. We will definitely be reaching out to Rachel again if we’re back in the area!!”

About: I volunteered at SSPCA for over a year specialising in cat care, with additional work with dogs and small animals. I also worked part time with a dog walker for 6 years where we would walk groups of dogs and do dog sitting home visits. I grew up with cats and have spent lots of time looking after dogs of all sizes. Most experience with Labradors and Cocker Spaniels. Happy to spend time with all creatures! I am a postgraduate student who works from home so I can make my schedule fit around your pet’s needs. I have a hamster who lives in a secure enclosure made of wood and glass who is awake between 10pm-5am I live in a 2nd floor flat 5 minutes walk from multiple large grassy parks, ideal for exercising dogs. I am an active person so I am happy to go in and out multiple times a day. For dog sitting I would typically do a longer walk in the late morning and a short walk in the evening.

“Such a fantastic doggy sitter. Mutton was super happy at Paulina's house and was really well looked after. Paulina had a lovely set up pf toys, treats and water bowl for Mutton. A home away from home. 10/10!! We'll definitely book again.”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Clackmannanshire
Sophie was an amazing sitter to our Shih Tzu Buena whilst we were away on holiday - from start to finish, we got lots of updates with Buena and Sophie's own dog Mabel which was so lovely. We had a little meet-up in a park before the booking started so that we could be sure that the dogs got on well, they became little besties sunbathing together! 100% recommend:)

Arun was spectacular, easy going and flexible. We met prior to the booking to familiarise Lily with Arun and everything went as expected! Arun has the perfect environment for our dog. Clean tidy home, understanding of lily’s needs and how to manage her in her elder years. The feedback from Arun was that the dog was a star and he’d be delighted to host her again What more can you ask for in all honesty?

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
