“Isobel was great with our dog Izzy. Izzy was very well looked after and had a lovely day. Isobel was great at keeping us updated and we'd definitely book another stay for Izzy with Isobel. Thank you!”

“Skye had a lovely Greet and Meet and then a short stay with Rose whilst I went shopping. Rose is such a lovely person and clearly loves dogs ( and cats). Skye had a fab time and was very well looked after. I was very pleased to see how well Skye had settled. Thank you Rose.”

“I used Sophie's Daycare services for my 2 Dachshunds. She replied to my request very quickly and agreed to look after them at short notice, which really helped me out of a sticky situation. As soon as I dropped them off I could tell my pups were immediately comfortable with Sophie and her home. I got photo and message updates throughout the day to see how much fun my babies were having (and Sophie too, I think). I will 100% be using her services again, and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking for a sitter. Thank you again, Sophie!”

About: I’ve grown up at home with dogs my whole life including rescue and reactive dogs, so I understand the importance of patience and making dogs feel safe and comfortable. Over the past 2 years, I’ve also helped my friend with Rover by assisting with walks, feeding, check-ins and caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I’m confident handling all types of dogs and will always take time to build trust at their own pace. Whether your pet needs a calm companion, regular exercise or extra patience and attention, I’ll make sure they feel cared, safe and happy while you’re away. I am a high performance athlete at the university and have a flexible schedule so I can make time throughout the week and weekends for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime and keeping your pets company. I’m reliable, communicative and happy to stick to your dog’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I’ve grown up caring for rescue and reactive dogs, so I understand how important patience, safety and trust are. I always take the time to learn each dog’s personality, and routine so they feel secure and comfortable in my care. Whether in your home or out on walks, I stay attentive and calm while making sure your pet has fun, gets plenty of attention and stays safe at all times
“Michele was excellent with Podrick, and totally welcomed his spicy play personality. Podrick came home happy and tired, slept like a rock! I would definitely trust Michele with our pup again in the future.”

“Doreen was very welcoming and put us at ease about leaving Rocky with them for the day, as this was the first time we have left him with someone away from home. We received a video of him playing in the garden within the first hour which was great to see, and we also received 3 further photos throughout his short stay. He seemed to really enjoy himself and he left with a little homemade gift that suits him very nicely. Great communication also with quick replies. We would happily have him stay here again if we ever required it. Thank you”

About: Dog mum to Rufus, the super friendly and outgoing small saluki cross. Rufus is playful and friendly, but also loves to curl up in a ball and relax. We are an adventurous pair who love long walks around the nearby fields, parks, woodlands, and occasionally mountains. We would love to have your pup join us - whether for just a walk, whole day or overnight. Walking services can be provided one to one or as part of a group (with Rufus and potentially other clients), depending on your dog’s needs. Dogs will be kept on lead unless consent is provided for off-lead activities. I can drive to pick up your dog, or you are welcome to drop them off at my place. I live in a flat, however, have a fenced garden where the dogs can play (supervised). All bookings will require a consultation to discuss your dog’s requirements, temperament, and food schedule (if required). I currently work as a freelance wedding singer on weekends. During the week, I have plenty of free time to look after your dog(s) - whether for a walk, whole day session or overnight. For walking and daycare sessions, I can pick up your dog or you can drop them off to me. Walking services can be adapted to suit your dog’s needs - whether that means a one-to-one session or as part of a group (with my own dog as well as other potential clients). Dogs will be kept on lead unless owner provides consent for off-lead activities. My dog, Rufus, will be around for daycare and overnight stays. Overnight stays can take place at my home or yours, as long as you are happy with Rufus joining. My flat has a fenced garden where the dogs can play (supervised), and we also live next to several great walking spots - parks, fields, hills.
“Lucy was great with Draco! she was also understanding as I was a bit late in dropping him in, she sent many pics and fill the report so I was completely calm that Draco was perfectly fine and having fun! 100% recomended”

About: I have grown up and taken care of dogs since I can remember, including living experience with a police German shepherd, fully trained working cocker spaniel, 2 border collies and an Australian shepherd. This has given me strong experience to give your dog its wanted needs. I’m confident managing different temperaments and ensuring all dogs feel secure, exercised, and well cared for, they will be loved and cared like my own. I’ve recently finished my university degree, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. I train at an international level with the university swim academy, but outside of training I’m free and able to dedicate consistent time to pet care. Including multiple walks (even up to 5-6 for high energy dogs), supervision, and care throughout the day. This allows me to give dogs consistent attention, exercise, and a structured routine during their stay long or short. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment for dogs staying in my pet-friendly flat, which includes a secure, dog-friendly balcony and access to all rooms as all dog friendly. There is a garden area outside for toilet breaks, which is always used under close supervision. I also have access to multiple safe walking areas nearby, suitable for both shorter walks and longer, high-energy exercise depending on the breed. Having grown up with a police dog and a fully trained working cocker spaniel, I understand the importance of routine, boundaries, and attentive care. I follow all owner instructions closely and ensure dogs are not left alone for long periods, helping them feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for throughout their stay.
“Marcus was brilliant with our cocker spaniel! He seemed really happy and we got great updates. We wanted to go to Blair Drummond for the day with our toddlers so this worked perfectly for us, everyone was happy! Thank you Marcus, we might see you again next summer!”

“My first time using this app and I am so grateful that I met Andrew, we went for a walk on our first meet and got to spend some time with my dog Molly which they got on so well and he handled her pulling and being hyper in a new environment. Andrew also put me at ease with all my questions and made me feel comfortable. Molly then spent the day with Andrew and I honestly did not feel stressed or worried about how she was getting on, I did message and got a quick reply and photos am really happy with how the whole day went and would recommend him and molly will definitely be back”

About: People should choose me because I put genuine care and attention into every walk. I’m reliable, calm, and committed to making sure each dog feels happy, comfortable, and well-cared for. Owners can count on me to treat their pets as if they were my own. As a film student at university, I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of free time throughout the week, making it easy for me to fit in regular dog walks. My classes and projects often vary from day to day, which means I’m available during mornings, afternoons, and even some evenings. This flexibility allows me to be dependable and consistent, giving each dog the time and attention they deserve without feeling rushed. When caring for pets in my home or a pet owner’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and calm environment. About: I have owned 3 dogs in my lifetime when I was living with my parents. Dogs always just fit in the family. I moved to Stirling and took care of 4 dogs on a different app varying from just afternoon walks and dinner to staying over for the weekend. A house is a home with a dog, want to get my own eventually but until then I am happy to help I am currently off for 2 weeks and would happily take care of any pets in that time after that I will update my schedule but can do most evenings and weekends and the odd afternoon Can understand some dogs just want to stay in their own home. I am good with feeding them, walking or bathing should you need. I also have a nice house with fenced garden where they can run and will happily let any fur baby stay with me
“Leigha was fantastic with my Husky Pup. She knew how to handle my dog and sent regular updates throughout the day. This was the first time I had my pup in Daycare and was the first kind of socialisation with non family dogs. Leigha gave me peace of mind and I will be using your services again in the future.”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
