Ali looked after my puppy Roy, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the very beginning, he was kind, warm, gentle, and incredibly easy to communicate with. As a nervous puppy owner leaving Roy with someone new for the first time, I immediately felt reassured and comfortable thanks to Ali's calm and caring nature. His dog, Freya, was also lovely and very friendly, and it was clear that she and Roy got on really well. It was wonderful knowing Roy was in such good company and having a great time while I was away. Ali clearly cares deeply about the dogs he looks after, and I felt completely confident that Roy was being well cared for. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter. Thank you, Ali!

Katie was fantastic from start to finish. She was a wonderful communicator, responding to messages promptly and keeping me updated throughout the day, which gave me real peace of mind. I was especially grateful that Katie was able to step in at short notice to look after my Flat-Coated Retriever. She is friendly, professional and immediately put me at ease, so I felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care. It was lovely to see the updates from his beautiful countryside walk in the hills – exactly the sort of adventure I know he loves. Knowing he was so well looked after allowed me to focus on what I needed to do without worrying. When he came home he was calm, relaxed and slept soundly, which is always the sign of a happy dog who’s had a brilliant day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Katie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and trustworthy dog walker.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and was lucky enough to share 13 wonderful years with my Staffy, Kiera, and a few short but special months with our boy Alfie. Losing them both was heartbreaking but it taught me a lot about what dogs need at every stage of life, from the endless energy of puppyhood to the gentle care older dogs deserve. I understand how hard it can be to trust someone else with your dog, so I treat every dog I look after like my own. I’m confident with strong breeds, experienced in senior care and happy handling medication, routines and all the quirks that make dogs who they are. I know what it means to have a dog be part of the family and I’ll make sure yours feels safe and loved while you’re away. I am self-employed and working from home so my schedule is extremely flexible to fit around looking after your pooch. I am more than happy to keep any routine your dog already has in place. Your dog’s comfort and safety come first. At home, your dog will be treated like one of the family. I am happy to keep rules consistent with yours so if your dog gets to lay on the sofa at home, then they get to lay on the sofa at their holiday home too. I stick closely to each dog’s usual routine so they settle quickly and I’m never far from sight or sound when they’re here. I live in the middle of a big park so there is lots of opportunities for fun walks (as frequent as your dog requires). If I’m caring for your dog in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care I’d want for my own. I make sure doors and gates are secure, walks are safe and appropriate for their age and energy and cuddles are freely available for those who want them.

About: Growing up with dogs and now sharing my home with three of my own, caring for them is simply part of everyday life. Living on a working arable farm in the beautiful Perthshire countryside means dogs in my care* enjoy plenty of fresh air, enrichment and attention, whether that's an exciting countryside walk, a game in our fully fenced garden or simply relaxing indoors after a busy day. I understand that every dog is different. Some thrive on adventure and exercise, while others prefer a slower pace, extra reassurance or plenty of cuddles. I'm happy to adapt to your dog's individual routine, whether that's sticking to feeding schedules, administering oral medication, reinforcing basic training, or providing calm companionship for nervous or senior dogs. Reliability, communication and treating every dog as if they were my own are incredibly important to me. I'll always keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe and well cared for while you're away. *Please note that my resident dogs are all unspayed females, so for everyone's safety I can only accept female dogs and neutered male dogs for daycare or boarding. However, I'm delighted to walk or visit dogs of any sex for drop-in visits and walks. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, as I work from home on a freelance marketing basis. This means I'm home throughout the day and can provide plenty of company, supervision and regular toilet breaks rather than leaving dogs for long periods. Living on a working arable farm also means we're outdoors several times a day, so walks, playtime and enrichment are simply part of everyday life. I can easily adapt to your dog's usual routine, whether they enjoy long countryside walks, shorter strolls, or prefer a slower pace. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare and boarding throughout the week and at weekends, offering flexible care to suit your dog's needs. Your dog's safety and happiness are my top priorities. We live on a working arable farm in the beautiful Perthshire countryside with a fully enclosed, secure garden where dogs can safely play, explore and relax. Inside, dogs are treated as part of the family. They have access to a dedicated utility room where my own dogs sleep, and I can easily separate dogs using internal doors if anyone prefers their own space or needs quieter time. I always introduce dogs carefully and supervise interactions to ensure everyone is comfortable. I'm happy to follow your dog's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medication, training cues and sleeping arrangements wherever possible. You'll also receive regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is happy, settled and well cared for. As my three resident dogs are unspayed females, I can only accept female dogs and neutered male dogs for daycare and boarding. However, I'm very happy to provide walks and drop-in visits for all dogs.

About: I have had dogs all my life and currently have a 5 year old Springer Spaniel named Tilly. We are an active home and i am home all day with our daughter and my husband is home in the evening while i work. We have previously had two litters from our gorgeous girl so are very familiar with young dog/puppy care. We have a fully enclosed patio area where the dogs are secure and beautiful country walks on our door step. I currently work evenings only so i am home all day to be with your furry friends. My husband then comes home and i head off to work for a few hours so your dog will never be on their own if not comfortable. We have a fully enclose patio with around 7ft walls so your dog will always be secure. We have a 5 year old active spaniel who will also keep your furry friend company.

As a first time client, Alison reassured me with her no nonsense approach and that she’d supply good and bad feedback. She also sent me updates and a photo throughout the day which was great. 23rd July is the first of a gradual exposure for Tillie and Alison to be comfortable by next July that Tillie can have an overnight stay whilst I attend my daughter’s wedding. Next time another dog may be present which is also enhancing Tillie’s experiences. Just taking things slowly. Can’t thank Alison enough for her kind, caring and understanding attitude to help make the outcome possible and for also allowing me a degree of freedom in case I have to be elsewhere on occasion , knowing that Tillie would be well looked after. Thank you.

About: I grew up around dogs, training and caring for them has always been a huge part of my life. I've cared for and owned various breeds, of all sizes, so I have a great understanding of different dogs and their behaviours. This helps me ensure they are happy, comfortable & getting what they need. I live in a one bedroom flat with my dachshund, Jasper, located coviently close to a park, and also have direct access to an enclosed garden from my flat. So we're in the perfect spot for dogs to have a long walk and play around the park, or if the weather doesn't allow then cuddles and games at home on the sofa. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I am currently working part-time and have plenty of time to look after your dogs. I do dog walking, day care or dog sitting in my home, alongside my own little dog I have a fully enclosed garden so the dogs can play safely outdoors. When inside I will provide the care they need based on your recommendation. Happy to accommodate crates and administer oral medication, etc.

About: With over 15 years of experience looking after dogs and lots of 5 🌟 reviews - I can promise you that your fur baby will be in the safest, most fun hands during their stay with us. My partner and I have recently moved and are now based in Aberfeldy. We both work from home and have great walks and a loch nearby, so walks will be atleast twice per day (if not more). We love the outdoors, so a weekend trip hiking/camping on the weekends will be likely 🏕️🐾 Ensuring the home owner(s) have full trust in me looking after their pet and their home is incredibly important. I am a trustworthy, mature individual who loves nothing more than giving your dogs the best staycation whilst you're away 🐾

First time leaving my dog Fede at a daycare with someone he didn’t know, and Isidora was very caring and made him feel at home. She was very attentive to his needs throughout the day and kept me updated on how he was doing while he was at her house. She also made sure to introduce her sweet dog Bono to Fede before they came inside, and everything went perfectly. I would definitely leave Fede with her again.

About: Recently completed my diploma in Dog walking and pet sitting 💁🏻‍♀️ I have had lots of good hands on experience when it comes to dog sitting and walking, I had the pleasure of helping my sister raise her amazing golden retriever Reggie from puppy. We are best of friends and I treat him as though he was my own. We have a family dog Dougal who is the most wonderful loveable Cocker Spaniel and I have previously been trusted to house sit with Dougal while my parents were on holiday for a week. I love going for long walks and ball throwing sessions, it helps keep me fit and active as well as the dogs! I grew up on a farm so I have been used to being around lots of dogs and various other animals in my time! I love interacting with dogs of all ages and enjoy making them feel safe, happy and welcome at all times. Currently taking a career break so I have plenty of spare time on my hands for watching my dog pals tails waging and going for daily walks 🫶🏻💁🏻‍♀️ In my dog-sitting approach, safety, trust, and the environment are paramount. I foster trust through open communication. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, backed by a commitment to safety, trust, and environmental responsibility. I aim to make them feel comfortable and happy!

This was Jumble's first experience of day care, and ours, but Lynh was very reassuring, explaining how he would spend his time with her. She sent lots of photos of him looking very happy on his walk with her. When we picked him up Lynh said she thought he'd been a bit anxious and suggested another short stay to help get him used to being with her and we're going to do that. Very happy with the care Lynh took.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Perth on Rover is £23 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 798 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Perth . About 87% of Perth sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Perth commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
