Trustworthy dog-lover in Perth 🐕🐾
Hi, I'm Rachel, a dog lover and artist based in central Perth. I'm offering my pet sitting services to good natured four legged friends in Perth and the surrounding area 😊 Past experience: My childhood dog was a Norfolk Terrier, who was great - but a classic terrier! We next got a Romanian rescue who had been in a kill shelter so was quite anxious. My family fostered a number of other Romanian rescues, so through these experiences and having one of our own, I am familiar with looking after those of a more nervous disposition, and the importance of building trust slowly. Having done lots of pet sitting throughout my life (including cats) and using Borrowmydoggy when I moved to Scotland, I later joined Rover to share my services more widely. I treat each pet as if they were my own and love building a genuine relationship with a dog over time and learning their quirks. I am able to follow care instructions, work with their usual routine to make them as comfortable as possible, and balance fun and play with firmness when needed. About me: I am approachable, trustworthy and reliable. I love spending time in nature; I am a landscape painter so the surrounding areas provide significant creative inspiration to me. I have a car and am located in central Perth, right by the river and the South Inch park, with lots of nice local walks nearby. I currently work full-time but I am able to be flexible on my office days (the more notice the better for this). I am particularly able to do short-term sits, such as a single day or day-night-day, but do feel free to put through any requests for longer and I'll see what I can accommodate! I am in a first-floor flat, no garden but very close to green space. My flat is clean and smoke-free. I live on my own, and pets are welcome on the sofa and bed if allowed!

Izzy had another lovely stay with Rachel, and it was great to get regular updates about their adventures together. We were a bit late picking Izzy up because of delayed trains, but Rachel was very flexible and understanding about this. Thanks again Rachel!

This was the second time we’ve had Rachel house sit and look after Frida. She’s very easy to deal with and Frida loves her!
Rachel was brilliant with Izzy, Izzy had a great day with her. Rachel was great at communicating throughout the whole booking process, and sent us some adorable photos of Izzy. Izzy is already booked to stay with Rachel again and I'm sure she'll also have a great time then too.
Rachel came and looked after Frida overnight while we were away visiting family, she also came over for a pre-meet and Frida clearly loved her so we were really happy to have her dog sit for us. Communication was great, and we came home to a happy pup, which is all you can ask for! Very happy to recommend Rachel and we will definitely call on her again.
Rachel was awesome! It was our first time leaving our puppy with a sitter and she was very communicative, patient, and flexible. She took great care of our dachshund puppy even though he’s very hyper and hard to deal with! Would highly recommend Rachel to anyone!

Schedule
I currently work full-time so if you require my services in the week it'd be good to know that your dog would be ok with me spending time sitting at my laptop (with cuddle breaks of course). I am generally 1 day per week in the office but I do have some flexibility in my schedule, particularly with a bit of notice.
