About: Hi I'm Lorna! I'm a kindhearted animal lover who is eager to love and care for every animal, big or small. I have loved animals since I was little, having had pets from cats and dogs to reptiles and rodents. I currently have 2 cute cats who I adore. My pet sitting experience includes looking after an energetic bulldog puppy, and overnight care for cats with medicine requirements. I currently work part-time, so my schedule is quite flexible. I would love to expand my pet sitting experience and take great care of your furry friends! I'm currently working part time so I have lots of time to love, care for and play with your pet! Giving them the love and affection they deserve. I will take great care of your pet by keeping up their normal routines, giving them lots of attention and stimulation through play time and cuddles.
“Michele was brilliant for looking after our wee miniature dachshund Nelly. This is the first time she ever stayed with a ‘stranger’ as she has always stayed with family but having just been diagnosed with stage 1 IVDD Nelly needed specific care at her own house whilst we attended a funeral for a few days. Michele was a brilliant dog sitter looking after Nelly exactly how she needed to and a brilliant house guest, sending us lots of updates throughout the time away. Would reccomend her to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to use Michele again in the future. Thank you so much for helping us at our a difficult time.”

“Tara looked after Wesley at short notice and agreed to a drop in visit to meet him and understand his needs. Wesley is diabetic and Tara was happy to give him his insulin injection. I was nervous about leaving him however Tara sent lots of photos and kept me updated. Thanks again for taking care of him Tara, we will definitely be back in touch soon!”

About: I currently run my own Pet Care company - Tate's Pet Care - offering Cat Sitting and Dog Walking in Clackmannanshire and I am absolutely daft about animals. All pets are unique and I tailor my care to each animal individually and to your needs. If you are away I am more happy to spend additional time socialising and playing with your pets to make their time without you as normal and happy as can be. As a pet mum myself I like to give updates and photos so you have the reassurance your animal is being well looked after. I have had quite a few different species as pets of my own including currently three cats (including a young kitten) and a tortoise. I am currently working at a local cat charity and I previously worked in wildlife rehabilitation for over 5 years with a wide variety of animals from bats and mice, to eagles and seals. Alongside my masters in animal welfare this has given me a vast amount of experience in animal care and behaviour that I bring to my sitting services. I am happy to pet sit for all species and would ensure individualised care for all your animals whether cat, dog, rodent or reptile. Through my work I have had vet administered training on giving medications including oral, injectable and topical meds. One of my own cats, Tate, has an autoimmune condition which requires additional extra care and medication so I am comfortable with assisting with medication for your pets. I'm currently working part time in a cat rescue and I can be very flexible with my time to suit your needs. I would be excited to spend time with your pets before and after work, and on my days off! I work different shifts so I am available during the week and also at weekends too. All pets are individual so before pet sitting I would love to know more about your animals. I can come in once or twice a day to pet sit or walk your pups and would be happy to care of all of their daily needs. In addition I love spending time with animals so for the more social pets I would be excited to spend extra time playing or giving them a fuss, whatever they would be most happy with! If it would be beneficial I am also happy to water plants and open close curtains, and of course happy to provide updates of your pet's whilst you are away!
“Justine is great and our dogs love hanging out with her! We have two older dogs who require both medication and attention to their mobility. We were away for nearly 2 weeks and returned to happy, well cared for pups. Justine was communicative but also let us enjoy our time away. She provided us quick updates when needed and pics of their fun. She was also willing to help us out with a few other items. We will definitely book with her again!”

“I honestly can’t recommend Sam highly enough. From the very start, he took the time to meet us and our three dogs and one cat in advance, which made such a difference — especially as all of our pets have adoption or complicated health backgrounds and their own quirks and needs. The level of care was outstanding. Communication throughout was excellent; I felt completely reassured knowing how everyone was doing. They were walked so much — I’ve never seen my dogs look quite so relaxed and content when we got back. Coming home to a clean, well-looked-after space was the icing on the cake. It was clear how much genuine care, professionalism, and respect Sam has not just for animals, but for people’s homes too. As a professional dog boarder myself, my standards are high — and Sam met them in every way which is a first and the highest praise I can give. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book again and will likely watch Sam’s calendar like a hawk to organise my next vacation.”

“Rhona was an absolute superstar ! She saved us at the last minute and was calm and experienced throughout all communications. Frida had an amazing time with her and we can’t thank her enough. The house is spotless and we have a very happy dog! 🐶 Thank you so much Rhona - we would not hesitate in recommending you 😍 x”

“Emilia was the perfect house/pet-sitter for us. Our two dogs Barkley & Elmo along with Rocky the cat can be a handful but she coped ably, provided regular updates and allowed us all to enjoy our holiday in the knowledge that they were well cared for at home. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Sarah has taken care of Anko for about 3 years now. This month she stayed at ours for one week with the dog and she took impeccable care of the place too. I can’t recommend her enough. Anko loves her and I feel complete peace of mind knowing she is well cared for and gets all the fuss and treats she wants. Sarah is easy to talk to, very transparent and super accommodating. We will continue calling her for as long as she will have Anko ❤️🐶”

“Christina looked after my dog, Baxter, over the weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met, it was clear how caring, reliable, and passionate she is about dogs. Baxter was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when I collected him. Christina kept me updated throughout the weekend with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of Baxter.”

“Excellent service from Justine, warm & friendly and just loved the dogs They both seemed to be very happy & content with her, lots of photos sent and regular updates so I was happy too ☺️ Will definitely be requesting Justine again!”

About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and I currently have a 1 year old border collie and two 11 year old cats. I've been looking after my pets, and walking my dogs for as long as I can remember. I have experience working with and walking with challenging dogs, and have attended many dog and puppy training classes. I love all animals and find spending time with them to be very fun and rewarding. I'm currently working part time, so on days I'm working I am free in the mornings usually before 9:45am and in the evenings after 5:30pm! I have a car and a full license so I can drive to you! I have a dog and two cats at home so I can't bring in other pets, however I am able to come to you, and care for pets in their home environment. I have experience looking after pets for friends and neighbours while they are away. I have experience using crates, and working with both high-energy young dogs and older dogs, as well as all sizes. I am also very experienced with herding dogs, and dogs with car-chasing instincts. I also have experience with reactive and anxious dogs. I am also experienced with providing medication for both dogs and cats.

“Connie was a wonderful sitter! Super friendly and easy to chat with, very much same energy so I knew our cats would get on great. All of our cats including the shy ones warmed to her very quickly and she took excellent care of them all Giving detailed updates and photos Will definitely recommend her and will be rebooking in future”

“Hazel and Daniel are perfect house sitters, caring and attentive with our mini sausage Daphne. It was only the second time looking after her and despite Daphne being anxious sometimes, she instantly recognised them and settled straight away. Such a relief to have found such super sitters and they’re definitely on Daphne’s trusted humans list. 😊Highly recommended!”

“Yasmina cared for our two cats in our own home and they were both well looked after, daily communication and photos received was very much appreciated, Would highly recommend and use again. Thank you Yasmina.”

“Phoebe was so happy to see Sydney she was bouncing around and ran down stairs to meet her making happy noises . She was well looked after again and was well exercised with her ball which she loves . We got plenty pictures to ease our minds which showed us Phoebe was having such a good time without us . This is our third time using Sydney and are already looking to rebook for our nxt holiday . Would recommend Sydney to anyone needing a sitter and are happy to have her stay in our home to look after Phoebe in her own space makes it so much easier when we go away she’s not to upset about us leaving as she has her friend to come look after her”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Ollie and our chickens. From the moment we met Rose, she was friendly, professional and respectful of our home. She took fantastic care of all the animals and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away at short notice. The regular photo and update messages were brilliant and really reassured us that everyone was happy and well looked after. It was clear that she genuinely cared about the animals and took the time to make sure their routines were maintained. We came home to happy pets and everything exactly as we left it. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you so much!”

About: I know how anxious it can be leaving your pets or avoiding booking trips because you’re worried about who will look after them? I have 2 cats of my own binx&toby and with them being house cats it’s a daunting thought leaving them in someone else’s hands. That’s why in my free time I wanted to be able to offer support to other families who want someone they can trust to look after their fur babies. although I have my own cats I have grown up arounds dogs of all sizes🤣 we have a naughty jack russel in our family who thinks she’s a big dog so I am very experienced in dog care and dog walks and take extra care with dogs that may have their own challenging quirks🙈i have plenty of experience of dog sitting and cat sitting in the past for friends and family. My main priority is making sure pets are safe, comfortable and well looked after as if they are my own. I also have stable & horse experience- i previously used to horse ride and my partners family own horses. Professionally I work as a full time nurse and love my job! with only working 3 shifts a week and having notice on my shift rotation it gives me a bit of flexibility. any questions please feel free to ask! I work x3 12hr shifts a week- mostly nightshifts so taking a few hours out of my day to check in with your pets is no problem I treat all animals as if they where my own and follow the owners wishes 100% keeping your pets safe and having respect for your home when carrying out visits is a huge priority.
“Tessa and Sean stayed at our house for 8 days to look after our nervous rescue dog. They were fantastic in giving him the reassurance that he needed and allowed him to build in confidence whilst in their company. Communication was great with lots of photos and they left the house spotless when we returned. We can’t recommend them highly enough and would definitely book them again in the future.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clackmannanshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
