I’ had such a great experience with Michelle . From the very first meeting she was incredibly friendly, calm, and professional, which instantly put myself and Bonnie at ease. She doesn’t just look after — she genuinely engaged, playing structured games that kept Bonnie mentally stimulated as well as happy and relaxed. It was clear she really understands dogs and cares about doing things properly. I came home to a content, well-exercised pup and couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended.

About: I’m an personal assistant for executives in financial company. I work hybrid of 2 days in the office 3 working from home. I obviously love working from home because I can spend time with my cat, Penny. She loves when I am home and loves to curl up on my desk while I work. I recently went a 2 week holiday and had to have someone cat sit for me, it was great peace of mind whilst we were away, I would love to do this for others. I look after my parents cat a lot when they go on holiday multiple times a year and have have administered medication to her regularly. I work as a hybrid role 2 days in the office so plenty time to visit cats before work, during lunch and after work even after being in the office so easy to incorporate visits When visiting cats in their own home, I respect their space and routine. I ensure all doors and windows are secure before letting them roam freely. I check for any hazards, keep food and water fresh, and spend quality time giving them attention and play at their own pace

Lucy was amazing with the house and both dogs - they seem super chilled out and didn't cause any trouble (or none that Lucy couldn't handle anyway). Polite, respectful and great updates - always kept in touch or let me know if there was anything up. Glad I booked with Lucy and I wouldn't think twice about doing so again :)

As soon as we met on the meet and greet, we knew Pam was right for us. Arnie and Marvin took to her straight away and Arnie is a great judge of character. She arrived promptly on the day and on our return everything was great with two very happy boys. Lots of pictures throughout the day. Couldn’t recommend Pam enough.

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life, mostly dogs and cats, and have cared for them from puppyhood all the way to their senior years. I’m experienced with reactive and highly energetic dogs, and I always make sure they get the right care for their specific needs. Friends and family trust me to look after their pets, and I bring that same reliability to every booking. My service is fully tailored to each pet’s routine, personality and comfort, so they feel safe, understood and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home, so I can easily adapt my schedule to your pet’s routine, whether that means walks, playtime, feeding or simply keeping them company. This flexibility lets me provide consistent, attentive care that fits your pet’s specific needs and helps them feel comfortable and secure throughout the day. I care for pets in a quiet, safe home with no other animals or children, so your pet gets my full attention. I live in a flat with a secure, fenced garden they can use for fresh air and supervised outdoor time. For dogs, I’m happy to provide long walks and multiple outings a day if needed, tailored to their age, energy level and routine. Indoors, your pet will have their own comfortable space and a calm environment. Because I work from home, I can easily adjust my schedule around them ensuring consistent, attentive care throughout the day.

About: We once had a rescue dog with an antisocial personality who recoiled from human touch. However, through patience, dedication, and extensive training, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation in his behavior. After our long walks, he now eagerly snuggles up with us, demonstrating a newfound comfort with physical affection. This journey has required us to invest time and effort in understanding his unique body language, ultimately leading to a deeper bond between us. As a dog owner, I embarked on a journey of research and training to enhance my understanding and care for my furry companion. Through extensive research and dedicated training sessions, I aimed to improve my knowledge of dog behavior, training techniques, and overall pet care. If you're looking for reliable and caring pet care services, look no further. My services include dog walks, pet care, and plenty of snuggles and playtime. We understand the importance of providing love and attention to your furry friends, and we take pride in ensuring they receive the care and affection they deserve. Looking for someone to care for your pets and house while you're away? Whether it's daily walks, feeding at different times, snuggling, or sleepovers, finding the right pet sitter is crucial for your peace of mind.

Fay and Ian have been a godsend. I was really worrying about leaving my dog and cat having lost my elderly dog just a few months ago. But they were amazing, put me at ease and sent lots of photos and updates every day to let me know what my dog and cat were up to. They took great care of my house and left it far tidier and cleaner than I'd left it. I'd definitely use their services again. My dog and cat were chilled and happy when I arrived home. If there were 10 stars then I'd give 10.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Falkirk walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Falkirk choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
