“Sophia communicated with us so well before, during and after our booking. Our dogs clearly had a great time with her, and she went above and beyond, taking our dogs out training and planning fun activities for them. We will definitely book with Sophia again :)”

“Negin was great, patient and cared for Gainz. Our dog is wary of people and is very attached to myself but Negin did not rush and understood him. Negin also extended to booking at the last minute due to a travel delay she put me at ease where I didn’t need to worry.”

“Megan was amazing with our babies! She kept us updated throughout and looked after them with such great care. She was professional, friendly, and left the house absolutely spotless! The girls were so happy and comfortable with her. I would highly recommend Megan!”

“Andra was such a lovely sitter for my dog Luna- she played all day with her, cuddled on the sofa and took her on long walks. Luna was very well cared for. I will absolutely use her services again and would highly recommend her to look after anyone’s pets.”

“Bridget was fantastic! Her communication was great and she managed to put my very anxious mini dachshund at ease while we were gone. I will definitely be in touch in future & would highly recommend :)”

About: Hi, I’m Martina, a caring and reliable pet sitter with six years of experience looking after both dogs and cats. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so I do everything I can to help them feel safe, relaxed and well cared for. I always take the time to get to know their routine, personality and little quirks, and I’ll carefully follow any instructions you leave. I’m particularly comfortable with rescue dogs and dogs who need a bit of extra patience. My own dog, Bob, is a Romanian rescue with reactivity issues, so I understand how important it is to recognise triggers, keep walks calm, respect boundaries and adapt to each dog’s needs. I also share my home with Ray, my beautiful long-haired cat and, of course, tiny prince of my world! I know cats often need a gentler approach: patience, respect for their space and attention to the small signs that tell you how they’re feeling. Whether your pet needs a calm walk, a drop-in visit, some company while you’re away or care in their own home, I’ll look after them with the same kindness and attention I give my own pets. I’m also happy to send updates, messages and photos, so you can relax knowing how your pet is doing. My aim is simple: for your pet to feel happy and comfortable, and for you to feel completely at ease. I’m a freelance translator, so I have a flexible schedule and can fit pet care around my working hours. I’m able to arrange walks, drop-in visits and house sitting with plenty of flexibility, and I can often accommodate different routines and schedules. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s needs and find a schedule that works well for everyone. I have six years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, including pet sitting for friends and family. I’m also a cat owner and have experience caring for a rescue dog with reactivity issues, so I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities, routines and needs. I’m confident with walks, feeding, playtime, litter care and keeping pets comfortable and safe.
“Dorina came to watch Polly for a long afternoon/evening sit. She sent some cute pics from their walk so we could see Polly was happy and when we got home Polly was very chill which means she was super relaxed with Dorina!!”

“This is the third time Alys has looked after our home and our two dogs - Blondie and Clyde. As on the other occasions she was excellent. She really looked after our dogs well. The dogs absolutely love her. She sent regular photos and updates and she left our home in immaculate condition. We can’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you for everything Alys.”

About: I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, from puppies til senior ages. I’m a pretty active person, so I’ll be able to keep your dogs entertained let it be with play time or walks around the park. I currently work part time, so I have plenty of time to fit pet care into my daily schedule, I usually work mornings, giving me most afternoons free. I’ll be able to feed your dog, play with them, take them on long walks, crate them if needed, and if desired I can even show them new tricks.
About: Growing up I had, at one point, four dogs along with multiple chickens and a couple goats and cows. Two of the dogs were adopted from shelters while the other two were strays found on the street in my neighborhood. I have experience with obedience and training, exercise and stimulation, and medication administration. Over my life I have experience with multiple breeds, temperaments, ages, and sizes, through watching my neighbors dogs active blue heelers to my grandmother’s senior yorkie. I love all dogs the same and treat them accordingly. I always take a lot of fun and cute pictures of your pets during my time with them so you know they are doing great! My availability is flexible as I look for a full time position after just recently finishing my masters degree. I do take public transportation or walk to get to places, I will not offer any late night walks after 10 PM or before 6 AM for my own safety. I am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day to ensure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. In my flat I am unable to offer overnight boarding however, I provide in-home pet care services tailored to your pet’s needs, this includes regular visits for feeding, watering, and playtime. I am available for walks at a nearby park or around the neighborhood to ensure your pet gets fresh air, exercise, and socialization. With my flexible schedule and dedication to personalized care, you can trust that your furry companions will receive the attention and love they deserve while you are away. It is crucial for me to be informed about any special needs or preferences your pet may have in advance to ensure their happiness and comfort during my care. Whether that be dietary requirements, medication schedules, or behavioral quirks like a sensitivity to certain sounds or animals outdoors, I am attentive to their needs. Additionally, having a detailed schedule outlining their routines, such as feeding times, treat times, potty breaks, walks, and training, is incredibly helpful in maintaining their sense of security and well being. By having this information upfront, I can ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both you and your beloved pet. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are my top priority.

About: We are Lauren and Martin, a couple living in the Woodlands area of Glasgow. We have experience in dog sitting of all ages and mix of breeds. We have both been dog owners but current life doesn't allow us to have a doggo of our own full time, so we thrive on sitting and caring for others when we can. We believe that caring for a dog is good for the mind, body and soul. Dogs are the best! We would love to meet your pooch before agreeing any future care. Martin works from home Monday to Friday, both of us are home at the weekend. Early mornings and late nights are all workable for us. Do contact for short time hourly rate/half day/evening. No transport available. Dogs are welcome in our home, pups included. We have an easy going and calm atmosphere. The flat is 3rd floor however we have secure garden access and green park space directly in front of the flat.

About: I grew up with my family Belgian Shepard (Tervuren) and cat (street cat). My parents now have two beautiful Siamese cats (very vocal!) and enjoy their company everytime I visit. I would love to have pets of my own but my lifestyle currently wouldn't be favorable for them so I'm so glad I found this service, so I can still get my animal fix! I've just moved to Glasgow and currently actively looking for jobs, but whilst I wait to hear back, I'll have plenty of time to help take care of your doggie or cat I live in an apartment with a balcony, right behind the Hidden Gardens in Southside. I can come and pick up your pet at your home of it's walkable distance. Parks and nearby to roam around
“We are very satisfied and happy that Cameron took care of Nash and Aida. Every day, we received a detailed report about their day and many wonderful pictures. I would entrust my dogs to him again without hesitation.”

“Christina looked after my dog, Baxter, over the weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met, it was clear how caring, reliable, and passionate she is about dogs. Baxter was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when I collected him. Christina kept me updated throughout the weekend with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of Baxter.”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life from an early age. I’ve grown up caring for dogs and now have two of my own, giving me plenty of hands-on experience with their different personalities, needs and routines. I’ve also regularly looked after friends’ and family members’ pets, including puppies and elderly dogs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs at all stages of life and understand the importance of providing them with plenty of attention, patience, exercise and affection while their owners are away. I treat every pet as an individual and would love the opportunity to give your dog the same care and attention I give my own. I currently work full-time, so my availability is mainly in the mornings, afternoons and at weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and will always do my best to accommodate your preferred times where possible. I’ll care for your pet in the environment where they feel most comfortable, while keeping their usual routines as consistent as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection and companionship, while following any specific instructions or routines you provide. My priority is making sure your pet feels safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away
“Erin watched Skye for the first time overnight after a meet and greet. Skye took to her immediately. Erin took great care of her. I also got lots of nice updates and it was clear from the photos that Skye was enjoying herself and there was nothing for me to worry about. Erin herself is absolutely lovely! I can’t wait for her to watch Skye again.”

About: I am patient and experienced with dogs, having spent over a year helping to care for a former flatmate’s rescue dog, including daily walks, feeding, and sitting. I also have a dog of my own, so I understand how much trust you are placing in a walker. I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely love looking after dogs! I work part-time and do rotational shift work so I am pretty flexible with dates/times to look after your dog. I have my work schedule provided months in advance so can accommodate bookings easily. I live in a flat which provides space for your dog to roam around and feel comfortable in. There is no garden but I’m very close to large amounts of green space (> 5 min walk).

This was the second time Bridget looked after or Dalmatian Luna, and everything was perfect. Bridget sent us regular updates and photos whilst were away, and it we obvious how much Luna loves Bridget! Thank you again Bridget, knowing you’re looking after Luna takes all the stress away when we’re travelling.

Kamille looked after our two boy bengals while we were getting married and she was fantastic! Kamille sent photos and videos of our boys and kept in touch so that we were always at ease. Our boys can be quite a handful with big appetites and lots of energy and Kamille handled them perfectly!

Agnieszka stayed with our little furball Luna during our wedding weekend. Following an initial visit, we could tell they would get along just fine. We received regular photo updates, and Luna was happy and comfortable in Agnieszka company. We felt totally relaxed the whole weekend knowing Luna was in safe hands and would highly recommend Agnieszka for her professionalism, communication and loving way with pets. Thank you, Luna is already looking forward to your next visit! x

We had Alba over for a couple of days while we were abroad for a week. We were nervous going into it as it was our first time leaving our kitty but Alba had won over our cats trust immediately and provided us with plenty of pictures and videos of our cat behaving as normal as always. We had family over for a few days to help and the feedback was that she hid from them, but with Alba she won over her trust and let our cat feel as comfortable as possible. I cannot recommend Alba highly enough for catsitting as I feel she has the perfect energy to gel with your pet

Jo was fantastic - from the meet and greet to the weekend of doggy sitting - she was calm and confident with our barky boy, very relaxed and clearly a dog person. We had no concerns about leaving her with our boy, and she sent texts and updates over the weekend to let us know how things were. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be using her again.

Stephanie helped us out with a last minute sit for our puppy, Bobby. She was friendly, polite and calm and a great pup sitter. Stephanie asked all the right questions to ensure Bobby would be comfortable and happy whilst we were gone and she kept us updated on how he was throughout the evening. Would recommend to everyone

I needed a sitter for a camping trip I was going on for my 3 babies. Fatima made me feel so at ease and I never got worried about my babies for the night I was away. I will definitely be booking her again! I highly recommend her. She was very thorough and made sure I had a peaceful trip and to come back to a peaceful house ☺️

Nicole has been so great. We communicated our needs for our red lab Otis and she was very open about what she could do for us. We know Otis can be a lot of energy for some but she was unflappable! Before leaving Otis for a longer stay Nicole was happy to do a trial to ensure Otis and her dog Jeff got on well and they got on thick as thieves. A testament to her training with Jeff. Nicole kept up to date through the day with pictures of the boys and I trust that if anything went awry she would call us. We are so impressed with Nicole and will continue to contact her going forward knowing that Otis is in good hands.

Ben has been a regular dog walker and sitter for cooper for the last several months and he has been amazing. Very fast at responding and very accomodating. Cooper can be anxious, and Ben has really taken the time and effort to work with Cooper so he feels secure and calm.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Glasgow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glasgow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
