About: I have worked with cats and dogs at an animal rescue in North Carolina for the past two years, giving me the chance to learn how to approach a variety of temperaments (including reactive dogs), breeds, ages and sizes. Additionally, I received training in administering oral medications for dogs and cats. In addition to rescue work, I have my own rescued German Shepherd mix who has joined me in a variety of adventures for the last six years. Before him, I had a lovely orange tabby that was an expert mouser who patrolled my home for 13 years before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Currently I have flexible time offering me the chance to provide a more varied schedule of care. Mornings and evenings are generally free, and with enough notice I am also available for weekend care. I am able to tailor care to the individual animal, be it crating if needed or leaving them free-roaming. In my home, my dog was able to be left free-roaming after plenty of time dedicated to training, and the cat had free reign of indoors and outdoors.
“My lil cat seemed happy as Larry when I returned from my holiday, it was like I'd never left. Negin was great at keeping me updated and send lots of pictures so I could rest assured Ayla was content. Thanks so much!”

About: I have taken care of my family dog since we got her 11 years ago. I lived with her for a few years before moving out, and she has came to stay with me since. I trained her as a puppy, taken her Munro bagging, and now wait on her as all she wants to do is sniff in old age :) I have looked after many of my friends dogs, and love running if that is what the dog wants to do, and equally love spending time with them sitting on the sofa. I have also volunteered at a dog rescue centre, handling dogs with anxiety issues, and learning how to assess dog behaviour. I work from home, and can fit your dog's needs into my schedule - I would appreciate the break! I love getting out in the fresh air, so can take them the walks that they need. I live in a flat with a balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard with secure entry, so it is safe if your dog just needs popping out to the toilet, or there are parks nearby for long walks. Your dog can go anywhere in my flat, there is plenty space to roam around.

“Andra was such a lovely sitter for my dog Luna- she played all day with her, cuddled on the sofa and took her on long walks. Luna was very well cared for. I will absolutely use her services again and would highly recommend her to look after anyone’s pets.”

“Bridget way amazing! When we had a meet up she asked lots of questions and took notes so that she could give Jett the same care and attention he gets from us. She gave me daily updates and photos of Jett and their walks together. Bridget is such a kind and caring soul! We felt at ease while away knowing he was well looked after.”

“Georgie was great! My dog loved her - he got much love & attention and plenty of exercises. She was extremely gracious about staying later on the last day when my flight was delayed, Plus my flat was spotless after her stay. Highly recommend!”

“Gabrielle looked after our dog Ruby in our home while we were away for a week. Ruby was well looked after with lots of walks in the park and countryside. Our home was well looked after as well, with the home being left in great condition upon our arrival home. I would highly recommend Gabrielle to look after your pet/home with confidence and we would be happy to rebook her again.”

“Was my first time using rover. I made a few mistakes like booking wrong day and the wrong service but Diego was fantastic. He helped me correct everything and even when my key safe broke he still managed to come in and look after my dogs. Dogs loved him, we loved him, will definitely be asking him again in the future”

“Ian has a really lovely natural way with dogs. Loki took to him instantly. I felt reassured that Loki was being well looked after whilst I attended my mum's funeral. He followed instructions. I will certainly book him again. Thank you”

“Izzy was absolutely brilliant! So many wonderful photos and videos of Dillon having a great day hanging out. He's even still tired today from all the play and fuss - would highly recommend to anyone needing dog care in Glasgow!”

“Rita has looked after my two now for some time. I can tell they love her as I always return to a contented household. Communication is key, it’s one of her strengths. She’s also very flexible. Quite often we need this when life throws unexpected obstacles in our paths and an amendment to the arrangement is required. Thats never been an issue! I’m hesitant to praise Rita too much as I would like her reserved for myself, solely😂 She’s a great person. I totally recommend her. S.”

“Nicole was great with Juniper. She was very good at communicating which made me feel very relaxed leaving Juniper with her. She was also so understanding about me having to rearrange due to life being a bit unpredictable. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks Nicole!”

“Erin is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I would HIGHLY recommend for any of your fur babies. Erin sent me regular text messages and pictures throughout my time away and always kept me updated. Sequoia absolutely adored her time with Erin and was given the BEST care. Sequoia is a 4 month old puppy and Erin was even so kind as to keep up with her training routine while I was away - I came back to my perfectly behaved puppy with absolutely no training regression! Highly, highly recommend!”

“An absolute superstar, thanks again Sidney! She stayed in our home for 1 week taking care of our dog Charlie, sent regular updates and photos and left our house is such a nice and clean state. Dorina did a fantastic job looking after my dog, Baxter, while I was away in Leeds. She was reliable, caring, and treated him as if he were her own. It was such a relief knowing Baxter was in safe hands while I was away. He came home happy, settled, and clearly very well cared for. Dorina kept in touch during his stay, which gave me complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dorina to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and dependable dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of Baxter – I really appreciate everything you did.

From the minute get go she was so attentive kind and caring. We struggle leaving our two babies as me and hubby have kind of spoilt them. But she came in smiling and left smiling. Both babies were well taken care of. She was watching them literally round the clock even the 5:30am play time lol. So recommend.

Elena looked after our cat, Batman, for five days and was brilliant throughout. She was communicative, friendly and respectful, and sent us lots of lovely photos and videos of them playing together. Batman seemed very happy, relaxed and healthy when we returned. Elena comes highly recommended!

Casey was amazing! She took really good care of our flat and Catman. We received lots of pictures and videos whilst we were away and detailed updates of how Catman was getting on. She also handled administering medication on a complex schedule. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks so much Casey!

We couldn’t have asked for a better pal for our girl, Rosie, while we were away. Emilia is so kind and thoughtful - kept in touch with photos and updates so we knew Rosie was having a brilliant time. Emilia was very respectful of our home and is just an overall fabulous person. We can’t wait to have her back and Rosie is already missing her! 🐾
I couldn't have asked for more friendly, reliable sitters. The boys were very well looked after and I was updated daily on how they were getting on. I had to make this booking every last minute and really appreciate how straightforward that was. Would definitely recommend!

Bridget way amazing! When we had a meet up she asked lots of questions and took notes so that she could give Jett the same care and attention he gets from us. She gave me daily updates and photos of Jett and their walks together. Bridget is such a kind and caring soul! We felt at ease while away knowing he was well looked after.

Ian and Lilly took soo much care of our mental little man Arnie during our week holiday! Couldn’t recommend them enough, will definitely be booking back in again. He was so attached to them just from the initial meeting, and walked Lilly to the door on her way out. Regular updates every day of how he was getting on and he looked like he was having a blast!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Glasgow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glasgow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
