About: I’m 30 year old, staying in Glasgow. I have a kitten who doesn’t mind other cat smells or if I pet other animals. He is a brilliant small black cat. I’ve also been taking care of my friend’s cat to help her out and thought I could extend my help to the community. I love cats and I’m happy to help you out. I work at NHS BSA as a designer. I’m working from home and I’ve plenty of time beyond my work especially evenings to do some extra activities.

“Sophia communicated with us so well before, during and after our booking. Our dogs clearly had a great time with her, and she went above and beyond, taking our dogs out training and planning fun activities for them. We will definitely book with Sophia again :)”

“Such a good dog sitter, gave us updates and cute photos of the dogs throughout the day, I feel bad as at the end of the day the dogs had a bit of a fight when we returned not her fault at all, I think they just got too excited but such a good carer”

“Nicole is absolutely brilliant with our boy Dillon, super communication and just an all round lovely person! I know dill is looking forward to seeing her again soon 😊”

“Emilia was the perfect house/pet-sitter for us. Our two dogs Barkley & Elmo along with Rocky the cat can be a handful but she coped ably, provided regular updates and allowed us all to enjoy our holiday in the knowledge that they were well cared for at home. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Bridget really helped us out at short notice when we were visiting Glasgow. Our dogs took to her immediately and we felt after meeting her that we were leaving them in good hands. Her communication was excellent and it was lovely to get some pics of updates during her stay. Bridget was very flexible to meet our needs and would highly recommend.”

“Andra was such a lovely sitter for my dog Luna- she played all day with her, cuddled on the sofa and took her on long walks. Luna was very well cared for. I will absolutely use her services again and would highly recommend her to look after anyone’s pets.”

About: Hey, I'm Fraser. I've lived in Glasgow for the past 10 years with my partner and house cat Nala. Based in the south of the city near Glasgow Green, I'm cycling mad and 99% of the time will use this method of transportation when visiting my clients. I also have a vehicle which can be used if the weather gets bad or you need any supplies for your pets while away. I work in the city centre and have a few clients who i pop in to daily before or after work, with a few at lunchtimes too. I feel that the cats & dogs i look after benefit from lots of playtime and fuss. I'm not one of these sitters who show up, feed your cat and go, i like to spend time with them and make sure they are happy. Even if its only one visit to walk your dog or a couple visits to make sure your cat is ok, nothing is too much trouble. If you have any questions regarding availability or regular visits then please drop me a message. I work full-time but mostly from home, which means I’m around and flexible most days for drop-in visits and walks. On the days I’m in the office, I can pop out to visit clients during my lunch break. I live right next to Glasgow Green, so your dog gets easy access to a huge green space for walks and playtime without needing a car. I don’t have a private garden, but the Green more than makes up for it with plenty of room to run and explore. I’m happy to crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, and I always match care to what keeps your pet most comfortable.
“Christiana was so lovely!! She was so sweet and really clicked with Polly, they were best friends by the time we came home. Would definitely have her come and watch Polly again ☺️”

About: Hi! I am Miri (she/her), I am 27 and work remotely in the Charity sector. I am caring, sensible and reliable and have a big love for cats and dogs - missing my bub Carlo who is at home with my parents very much! Growing up, we always had pets so looking after them feels second nature to me and brings me so much joy 💛 I work from home and my work are very flexible, so am available for drop-in services twice a day (before work/ lunch/after work). For dog boarding I can provide breaks for playing and going outside every 2-4 hours :) When I come to your home, I will be patient whilst your pet gets to know me and do everything I can to create a comfortable and trusting environment for them. For boarding, we have a fenced garden and front garden as well as direct access to both.
“Christina looked after my dog, Baxter, over the weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met, it was clear how caring, reliable, and passionate she is about dogs. Baxter was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when I collected him. Christina kept me updated throughout the weekend with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such great care of Baxter.”

“We are very satisfied and happy that Cameron took care of Nash and Aida. Every day, we received a detailed report about their day and many wonderful pictures. I would entrust my dogs to him again without hesitation.”

“Monica was such a wonderful sitter for my dog Luna. She took her for long walks and ball play, showered her with attention and kept me informed on how she was doing throughout the 2 night overstay together. I would absolutely recommend Monica and would love to use her for future bookings- thank you again for your lovely care x”

“Negin was great, patient and cared for Gainz. Our dog is wary of people and is very attached to myself but Negin did not rush and understood him. Negin also extended to booking at the last minute due to a travel delay she put me at ease where I didn’t need to worry.”

“Phoebe was so happy to see Sydney she was bouncing around and ran down stairs to meet her making happy noises . She was well looked after again and was well exercised with her ball which she loves . We got plenty pictures to ease our minds which showed us Phoebe was having such a good time without us . This is our third time using Sydney and are already looking to rebook for our nxt holiday . Would recommend Sydney to anyone needing a sitter and are happy to have her stay in our home to look after Phoebe in her own space makes it so much easier when we go away she’s not to upset about us leaving as she has her friend to come look after her”

Stephanie helped us out with a last minute sit for our puppy, Bobby. She was friendly, polite and calm and a great pup sitter. Stephanie asked all the right questions to ensure Bobby would be comfortable and happy whilst we were gone and she kept us updated on how he was throughout the evening. Would recommend to everyone

We’ve booked Julianna to look after our cats a number of times now and we’ve had a great experience every time. Julianna provides lots of updates, videos and photos while we’re away, which is really reassuring and means we can relax knowing Pepper and Krupskaya are happy and being well looked after. It’s clear they love spending time with Julianna. We always come home to very happy chilled cats.
I needed a sitter for a camping trip I was going on for my 3 babies. Fatima made me feel so at ease and I never got worried about my babies for the night I was away. I will definitely be booking her again! I highly recommend her. She was very thorough and made sure I had a peaceful trip and to come back to a peaceful house ☺️

Nicole has been so great. We communicated our needs for our red lab Otis and she was very open about what she could do for us. We know Otis can be a lot of energy for some but she was unflappable! Before leaving Otis for a longer stay Nicole was happy to do a trial to ensure Otis and her dog Jeff got on well and they got on thick as thieves. A testament to her training with Jeff. Nicole kept up to date through the day with pictures of the boys and I trust that if anything went awry she would call us. We are so impressed with Nicole and will continue to contact her going forward knowing that Otis is in good hands.

Ben has been a regular dog walker and sitter for cooper for the last several months and he has been amazing. Very fast at responding and very accomodating. Cooper can be anxious, and Ben has really taken the time and effort to work with Cooper so he feels secure and calm.

Simon was absolutely brilliant with my wee old pug. I needed someone last minute and as he is an older dog with medical needs my dog being safe is a top priority. Simon responded quickly and totally put me at ease as it can be nerve wracking. My wee pug absolutely loved Simon and I had regular updates as requested and could see Simon was really taking care of him. He had to be given medication while I was out and Simon kept track of this for me and sometimes it’s not easy getting him to take his meds but Simon seemed to be a pro. I am so grateful Simon was available and I feel better knowing I have someone I can trust to watch my dog. I will be using Simon again and would highly recommend him.

Cami looked after our cat for a week whilst we were on holiday. This was our first time using a cat sitter and I was a nervous about having someone stay in our flat but my mind was put at ease after meeting Cami. They are very trustworthy and sent us daily updates and we came back to a chilled cat. They also respected our flat and left the place clean. I would recommend!

Dorina did a fantastic job looking after my dog, Baxter, while I was away in Leeds. She was reliable, caring, and treated him as if he were her own. It was such a relief knowing Baxter was in safe hands while I was away. He came home happy, settled, and clearly very well cared for. Dorina kept in touch during his stay, which gave me complete peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dorina to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and dependable dog sitter. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of Baxter – I really appreciate everything you did.

Elena looked after our cat, Batman, for five days and was brilliant throughout. She was communicative, friendly and respectful, and sent us lots of lovely photos and videos of them playing together. Batman seemed very happy, relaxed and healthy when we returned. Elena comes highly recommended!

Casey was amazing! She took really good care of our flat and Catman. We received lots of pictures and videos whilst we were away and detailed updates of how Catman was getting on. She also handled administering medication on a complex schedule. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks so much Casey!

We couldn’t have asked for a better pal for our girl, Rosie, while we were away. Emilia is so kind and thoughtful - kept in touch with photos and updates so we knew Rosie was having a brilliant time. Emilia was very respectful of our home and is just an overall fabulous person. We can’t wait to have her back and Rosie is already missing her! 🐾
I couldn't have asked for more friendly, reliable sitters. The boys were very well looked after and I was updated daily on how they were getting on. I had to make this booking every last minute and really appreciate how straightforward that was. Would definitely recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Glasgow walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glasgow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
