Taisa was an absolutely fantastic cat sitter. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, keeping us updated with lovely messages and brilliant photos that really put our minds at ease. Elio clearly adored her and looked so relaxed and comfortable in her care, which says everything. She looked after him incredibly well, and it was obvious he was getting lots of attention and affection. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Taisa again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable cat sitter.

About: I used to have a dog (a goldie boy), look after my friend's and neighbour's dogs including rescure dogs before. I have been interested in dog training and have been educating myself am able to control dogs including teenage dogs in public and at home. I am able to run a dog every morning and evening for their good health. As a full-time professional, I’m available to care for dogs on weekends and bank holidays—perfect for those who need a trusted carer during their time away. Locations in the city center, West End, or anywhere easily accessible by subway suit me best. I ensure each dog gets the care and attention they deserve! I live in a rental flat where dogs are not permitted, so I’m unable to offer overnight care at my place. However, I’m more than happy to look after dogs during the day or take them for walks outside—it’s no problem at all!

About: I have over 3 years of experience caring for animals and genuinely love spending time with pets. I and my friend(flatmate), Ash regularly dog sit and host her cousin’s Cavapoo who lives in Edinburgh, providing walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I also have a small dog rescue back home, which has given me hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I am patient, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Additionally, Ash works from home full time so she is always there while I work 5 mins away, which makes providing everything you need, more accessible. I currently work part-time at Cake Box GWR and also spend part of my week working from home. My best friend and flatmate works from home full-time, so there’s always someone at home to provide company, supervision, and care. We’ve also looked after a 4-year-old Cavapoo on several occasions, including stays lasting several weeks, and it fit seamlessly into our daily routine. Between both of us, we have flexible schedules and are happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs, whether that’s sticking to a specific feeding routine, administering medication, or simply providing plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention, basically whatever you need! I’m a big believer that pets are happiest when they feel comfortable, so my aim is to make them feel as at home with me as possible. Whether they love playing all day or would rather curl up in a sunny spot on the sofa and nap, I’m happy to oblige. I live in a bright, spacious two-bedroom flat with a big living room (great for cats) that gets loads of natural light, and there are plenty of great walking routes nearby. Kelvingrove Park is only about 10 minutes away, so dogs have lots of options for walks and new smells to explore. Because I work part-time and from home, and my flatmate works from home full-time, there’s always someone around to keep your pet company. We’ve looked after a Cavapoo for weeks at a time, so we’re used to having furry guests around and making them part of our everyday life. I’ll always stick to your pet’s routine as closely as I can, whether that’s meal times, walks, medication, or just their favourite way to relax. And of course, I’ll send plenty of photos and updates, because I know how much it helps when you’re missing them!

This was my first time leaving Roxy at home. We have only had her for 8 maths. Danielle was fabulous, sending updates and pictures at each visit. It really put us at ease. We could see from pictures that Roxy was fine and had cuddles and play time. Had hoped to use Danielle's services again in August but unavailable. We will definitely look out for her again in the future. One happy cat makes her people happy 😊😁😁😁😁

We had a fantastic experience with Paige. She took great care of our two cats and kept us fully at ease while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout, and she sent plenty of photos so we always knew they were happy and relaxed. We had to stay longer away and she accommodated the request. We came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect order. Highly recommended, we’d happily book with her again.

About: I have many years of dedicated and trusted pet sitter for friends and family before joining the Rover app, I offer a level of care that goes far beyond basic dog walking. My extensive background is backed by professional certifications in pet first aid and advanced dog training. I’ve completed comprehensive course in professional dog walking. I am currently a member of the Guild of Dog Trainers entry level Companion Assistant Dog Trainer. This unique combination of hands-on experience and formal training allows me to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for your beloved companion. I specialise in providing tailored care for playful puppies and mixed breed rescue dogs with behavioural issues. My true passion and expertise, however, lie in working with anxious, nervous, or fear-based reactive dogs, particularly guardian breeds. I approach every dog with a calm, caring, and nurturing demeanor, creating a sense of trust and security that allows even the most sensitive dogs to relax and thrive in my care. What Sets Me Apart. I got my first dog at the age of 5 years old, after asking for a puppy constantly my Dad came home with a wee Whippet. Other breeds dogs that i have experience of are Bedlington Terrier, Jack Russell, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, King Charles Spaniel, Shetland Sheepdog, Border Collie, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Cane Corso. My commitment to transforming dogs' lives and supporting dog owners is best illustrated by a recent case study. I undertook behaviour modification program with dogs who had a history of biting and was at risk of being euthanised. While this intensive program is not a typical service, it demonstrates the depth of my dedication and my ability to handle even the most challenging situations with compassion and expertise. When you entrust your pet to my care, you can be confident they are in the hands of a true professional who is deeply committed to their well-being. My life revolves around dogs, and my own dogs are testament to that commitment. I have started working as self employed dog walker and dog trainer after years of doing it for free to help out friends and family. I am dedicated to hands-on training with my own dogs, a practice that not only sharpens my skills but also ensures I am always bringing the most current and effective techniques to the pets I care for. Saturday I have coaching walk and talk with my own dog and dog training clients. I take Sundays and Mondays to focus on admin and self care. This routine allows me to offer consistent, focused attention to your dog ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and companionship. Therefore, my availability works around about my own dogs. To ensure your pet's utmost comfort and to maintain a consistent routine, I provide all my pet care services exclusively within your own home. This approach allows your pet to remain in their familiar environment, surrounded by their own scents, toys, and comforts, which significantly reduces stress and anxiety while you are away. Currently, I am unable to host pets in my own home as I reside in a rented property where I do not have permission to board other animals. By offering to come to your home, I can give your pet my full attention in the space where they feel most secure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for everyone.

About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats since the day I was born. Grew up learning how to take care of all kinds of animals, but more importantly, how to understand them and give them the best quality of life possible. I have experience training dogs and cats. I'm currently working full-time from home, so all I need is my laptop and I can be anywhere with and for your pets. My current IT work is something that gives me a great work-life balance and flexibility to spend quality time with pets, but also great mobility, so going at them is something easily achievable for me. I make sure to create an environment where the pet feels comfortable, accompanied, and relaxed above everything. Clean fresh water (and clean litter boxes) has to be available 24/7, food time (and medicines time) will always be respected and on time

About: I got my first dog when I was in primary school and have been taking good care of it until now. It is already 12 years old, so I have experience in looking after elderly dogs. In junior high school, I adopted a sick kitten and had the experience of feeding it milk and giving it injections. I have been adopting it until now and it is already five and a half years old. I currently have plenty of time, so I can be with your pets at any time and take care of them. The time frame is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. I have a large open-air balcony which is convenient for my pets to play on, and there is a park right downstairs from my house. Besides, my home has soft carpets to protect pets with joint problems.

About: Hey! I'm Shauna. I've had animals all my life, from dogs and cats to birds and rodents. I'm fascinated by wildlife and the small creatures of our planet. Growing up I would collect insects, make an enclosure and watch them for days in my room, as well as attempting to save poor little song birds that had often been injured by larger birds or cats. My realisation for my love for animals came when I'd help out at my local stables with the horses from a very young age. I'd help brush, bathe and ride them for a walk, and from then my passion grew like wild ivy. I loved the responsibility of walking and training my dogs, and I would also walk friends and neighbours dogs in my spare time. In 2019 I began volunteering as a veterinary care assistant where I learned valuable knowledge and skills which furthered my passion of caring for animals, and after two years of dedicated unpaid work I was finally officially employed as a veterinary care assistant. I spent some years in this role but some life circumstances sent me on another journey to work in a pet shop, and finally a doggy daycare. I love working in the daycare, I'm very dedicated to all of our pups and love to make sure they have a great day. But I feel my time with them is never enough, so I've chosen to do walking and dog sitting during my time off. My whole existence centres around dogs and I can't imagine a better time spent with any other being! I currently work in a doggy daycare, 4 out of 7 days. I am able to provide my services from 7pm weekdays, and have full availability Saturday, Sunday and Monday. You're welcome to create a schedule as I prefer to have a clean cut routine. In general, dogs will be walked 2x a day, though I am happy to offer 3x as I always recommend 3 walks for dogs. I will never give treats unless you say it is ok, as I know how important it can be to follow a strict diet for some dogs. I always encourage play with dogs but please know I won't push boundaries if the dog is not interested. I know we all love to see our babies playing but sometimes it just isn't for them and that's okay. Your dog will always be kept on the lead, unless there is a specific enclosed park that your dog is familiar with, and you and I are both confident in your dogs recall.

We honestly could not have asked for a more caring and trustworthy person to look after our two cats than Patrycja. Our cats are very stranger-wary but somehow through her gentle nature and patience Patrycja managed to not only sort out their basic needs - including a quite complicated feeding regimen and litter box changes - but also become a friend to them. She went above and beyond in so many aspects, even sorting out issues with electricity and WiFi in the home to get our pet monitors running again. Plus she sent us detailed photo and written updates from every visit. Overall, we are so gratfeul to have found someone so professional and detail-oriented to look after our cats; We felt so at ease leaving them in her care.

Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
