“We had a fantastic experience with Paige. She took great care of our two cats and kept us fully at ease while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout, and she sent plenty of photos so we always knew they were happy and relaxed. We had to stay longer away and she accommodated the request. We came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect order. Highly recommended, we’d happily book with her again.”

“Danielle looked after my puppy who had the best time with her! I loved receiving the many pictures and videos from Danielle playing with my Lola and felt such relief knowing she was in such great hands! Danielle had great communication with me throughout her time caring for my puppy and I was so glad to feel as calm as I did when she was with my pup! Would definitely recommend Danielle to others and will be booking again. Thank you!”

About: Hey! I'm Shauna. I've had animals all my life, from dogs and cats to birds and rodents. I'm fascinated by wildlife and the small creatures of our planet. Growing up I would collect insects, make an enclosure and watch them for days in my room, as well as attempting to save poor little song birds that had often been injured by larger birds or cats. My realisation for my love for animals came when I'd help out at my local stables with the horses from a very young age. I'd help brush, bathe and ride them for a walk, and from then my passion grew like wild ivy. I loved the responsibility of walking and training my dogs, and I would also walk friends and neighbours dogs in my spare time. In 2019 I began volunteering as a veterinary care assistant where I learned valuable knowledge and skills which furthered my passion of caring for animals, and after two years of dedicated unpaid work I was finally officially employed as a veterinary care assistant. I spent some years in this role but some life circumstances sent me on another journey to work in a pet shop, and finally a doggy daycare. I love working in the daycare, I'm very dedicated to all of our pups and love to make sure they have a great day. But I feel my time with them is never enough, so I've chosen to do walking and dog sitting during my time off. My whole existence centres around dogs and I can't imagine a better time spent with any other being! I currently work in a doggy daycare, 4 out of 7 days. I am able to provide my services from 7pm weekdays, and have full availability Saturday, Sunday and Monday. You're welcome to create a schedule as I prefer to have a clean cut routine. In general, dogs will be walked 2x a day, though I am happy to offer 3x as I always recommend 3 walks for dogs. I will never give treats unless you say it is ok, as I know how important it can be to follow a strict diet for some dogs. I always encourage play with dogs but please know I won't push boundaries if the dog is not interested. I know we all love to see our babies playing but sometimes it just isn't for them and that's okay. Your dog will always be kept on the lead, unless there is a specific enclosed park that your dog is familiar with, and you and I are both confident in your dogs recall.
“Robyn was great with my two cats while I was away! She was very consistent and reliable and I looked forward to receiving her thorough updates every day. I'd highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have worked with cats and dogs at an animal rescue in North Carolina for the past two years, giving me the chance to learn how to approach a variety of temperaments, breeds, ages and sizes. Additionally, I received training in administering various medications. In addition to rescue work, I have my own rescued German Shepherd mix who has joined me in a variety of adventures for the last six years. Before him, I had a lovely orange tabby that was an expert mouser who patrolled my home for 13 years before she crossed the rainbow bridge. Currently I have flexible time offering me the chance to provide a more varied schedule of care. Mornings and evenings are generally free, and with enough notice I am also available for weekend care. I am able to tailor care to the individual animal, be it crating if needed or leaving them free-roaming. In my home, my dog was able to be left free-roaming after plenty of time dedicated to training, and the cat had free reign of indoors and outdoors.
“Jokha did a great job with our kitties, they were well fed and in one piece! I feel we gave quite a few extra instructions and she helped with everything including helping out our dumb Roomba when the kitties no doubt messed with it and got it stuck. Would highly recommend!”

“Cameron took care of Raggie for 4 consecutive days. He took him for a walk and made sure he ate his food. He was efficient and considerate and sent lots of detailed reports and photos! Raggie loved him! I was especially concerned because Raggie is reactive with male dogs sometimes, but everything went really smoothly. Thank you, Cameron!”

About: What Sets Me Apart. I got my first dog at the age of 5 years old, after asking for a puppy constantly my Dad came home with a wee Whippet. Other past family dogs that i have experience of are Bedlington Terrier, Jack Russell, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, King Charles Spaniel, Shetland Sheepdog, Border Collie, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Cane Corso. With many years of dedicated and trusted pet sitter for friends and family, I offer a level of care that goes far beyond basic dog walking. My extensive background is backed by professional certifications in pet first aid and advanced dog training. I’ve completed comprehensive course in professional dog walking. I am currently a member of the Guild of Dog Trainers entry level Companion Assistant Dog Trainer. This unique combination of hands-on experience and formal training allows me to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for your beloved companion. I specialise in providing tailored care for playful puppies and mixed breed rescue dogs with behavioural issues. My true passion and expertise, however, lie in working with anxious, nervous, or fear-based reactive dogs, particularly guardian breeds. I approach every dog with a calm, caring, and nurturing demeanor, creating a sense of trust and security that allows even the most sensitive dogs to relax and thrive in my care. My commitment to transforming dogs' lives and supporting dog owners is best illustrated by a recent case study. I undertook behaviour modification program with a reactive dog who had a history of biting and was at risk of being euthanised. Through patient and skilled intervention, she has been successfully rehabilitated. While this intensive program is not a typical service, it demonstrates the depth of my dedication and my ability to handle even the most challenging situations with compassion and expertise. When you entrust your pet to my care, you can be confident they are in the hands of a true professional who is deeply committed to their well-being. My life revolves around dogs, and my own dogs are testament to that commitment. I have started working as self employed dog walker and dog trainer after years of doing it for free to help out friends and family. I am dedicated to hands-on training with my own dogs, a practice that not only sharpens my skills but also ensures I am always bringing the most current and effective techniques to the pets I care for. Saturday I have coaching walk and talk with my own dog and dog training clients. I take Sundays and Mondays to focus on admin and self care. This routine allows me to offer consistent, focused attention to your dog ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and companionship. Therefore, my availability works around about my own dogs. To ensure your pet's utmost comfort and to maintain a consistent routine, I provide all my pet care services exclusively within your own home. This approach allows your pet to remain in their familiar environment, surrounded by their own scents, toys, and comforts, which significantly reduces stress and anxiety while you are away. Currently, I am unable to host pets in my own home as I reside in a rented property where I do not have permission to board other animals. By offering to come to your home, I can give your pet my full attention in the space where they feel most secure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for everyone.
“This was an additional feeding session that I booked with Lauren - I realised that I had not worked out my timings properly and requested if I would be able to add this extra feed. Lauren was incredibly understanding and accommodating with this unplanned additional booking and I am very grateful at her flexibility at fitting this in. I echo all of the feedback in my other main review of how wonderful Lauren is and how much I would recommend her!”

About: I’m 100% dog lover, being with any kind of dogs is enjoyable for me, which makes me also have 100% patience and kind to them. I’m currently working part time, so we can schedule the week-walk after every Monday. Happy to take last minute walk if I’m not working. So, text me;) If I’m at your home, I’ll be caring for pets only. I will look after your dogs make sure they are out of any danger.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, of several different breeds, as well as a cat since I was 9. I love all pets so much and generally find they accept me. I have learned how to take care of a puppy, kitten, and my dog once he got older and needed more care. I helped my parents with training our golden retriever puppy, and I have helped out family and neighbours with pee breaks, walks, and some overnight stays. I have university during the week days but can definitely do overnight stays if not too far away, and always can come by in evenings and on weekends. I also know incorporating pets in my life will add so much to my daily life, I’m happy to always work around my schedule. I always make sure to tick off all the things a pet will need, and check in with them (instead of just doing my own thing). I am happy to play, or to cuddle, or to not do anything if needed. I am also good to exercise the pets however much is needed
“Maia was absolutely amazing! Everything you would want about a cat sitter❤️ she was always consistent with her love and dedication to caring for the kitties❤️❤️ She sent the best pictures you could ever want of your babies! Thank you so much!!”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Glasgow
Natalie provided such quality care to our very needy/attention seeking BonBon while we were abroad for 11 nights. We loved the daily updates and videos — so much that they became a highlight to our days while away. We really felt at ease with Natalie and we hope to have her pet sit again next time we’re on holiday.

I messaged Robin last minute after another cat sitter fell through and she responded immediately. I was able to have a relaxed long weekend knowing that Halley was in safe hands and being well looked after. Robin updated me every visit letting me know how Halley was getting on and sending photos.

Kirsteen was absolutely brilliant! Booked for 2 visits a day for 5 days and after each visit I got an update on Stella and lots of pics. Stella really took to Kirsteen and this was obviously from the pics that were sent. I would highly recommend Kirsteen and will have no hesitation in using her again.

Jade took wonderful care of Leo and Thomas while we were away. She was attentive, patient, and clearly understands cats and their personalities. We loved receiving updates and could see how relaxed and happy they were with her. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but Jade made it effortless. Highly recommended.

Hope sent lots of photos and updates, and we came back to two happy cats and a very tidy flat. Was worried about leaving our wee 5 month old kitten home alone for the first time but Hope was great with her. She also gave our older cat his medication with no problem! Would defo rebook!

He has been an absolutely amazing with our darling cat Lychee! Always punctual, very attentive to our cat and even leaves our place spotless for when we come back! Lychee loved playing with Zack and he was quick to respond to our concerns and able to go above and beyond to help us.

James came over for a pre-meet of our nervous cat, so that she was reassured by my presence. He spent a good time here giving her treats and getting her used to his voice, which I very much appreciated. While we were away we received lovely pics and updates, and have returned to a relaxed cat. Couldn't ask for more.

Incredible cat sitter, Mishka was so relaxed and chill when we got back to him after a long weekend away so could tell he’d definitely felt looked after and got the attention he needed. Could tell Aleksandra loves cats and truly looks out for their wellbeing, got plenty of updates from as well as pictures which was really appreciated! Would 100% recommend. ❤️

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
