Jade took wonderful care of Leo and Thomas while we were away. She was attentive, patient, and clearly understands cats and their personalities. We loved receiving updates and could see how relaxed and happy they were with her. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but Jade made it effortless. Highly recommended.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and special requirements on many occasions! Worked with Rover when living in Barcelona! Started again now living in Glasgow west! Work in a local cafe, early start and early finish so have time to spend afternoons and evenings with pets! Happy to work with owners regular routine to avoid disputation. Enjoy going on nice walks and talking dogs to the park to play. Equally enjoy playing with cats at home or in the garden with their favourite toys. Try to create calm and relaxing atmosphere while owners are away to keep the pets as stress free as possible. Follow any rules spilled by owners!

Lauren was a massive help while my partner was away this week. Our mini dachshund can be a bit of a stereotype and her kind, friendly and calm demeanour massively helped him stay settled at home while I was at work.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with both cats and dogs. Growing up with a cat taught me to understand and appreciate feline behaviour, which looking after my neighbours dogs - ranging from puppies to seniors - gave me hands-on knowledge of their unique needs at every stage of life. I work from home two days a week, and have weekends free. I am very active making playtime and/or walk time a part of my everyday. I prioritize your pets safety and comfort, providing attentive care based on the animals needs. You can trust me to follow routines and keep your pet happy and secure.

About: I'm the owner of Mackitosh, a small 2.5-year-old Jack Russel cross. We love going for walks, particularly into the nearby wooded areas. Mackintosh loves other dogs and would welcome other playmates. I'm well used to dealing with nervous or reactive dogs (Mackintosh can be quite anxious). I'm happy to provide basic lead and recall training, administer medication, and give baths/showers after muddy outings. My house is currently undergoing renovations, but everything is safe, and I'm happy to make reasonable ad-hoc adjustments. I'm happy to accommodate large dogs, but it depends on their temperament, so please let me know what they're like in your opening message. I work from home with a large back garden. Breakfast is usually at 8 with a short time in the garden or walk to the local park at the end of the road. The main walk is after lunch (unless it's too hot), when we typically go to Queens or Maxwell Park. Depending on the weather and energy levels, we sometimes do a short walk after dinner (around 7), followed by a short garden/toilet break before bed (around 11). I have a fenced garden in which dogs can play. My flat is large, 100 sq m, in which Mackintosh is happy and safe to play. I keep all my dangerous items (tools, cleaning stuff) tucked away behind closed doors. I have furniture covers if they want to sit and watch films with me.

About: I have been surrounded by dogs both mine and my families since I was little. Happy feeding, and incorporating any little thing that would help your dogs feel less anxious as you're away. I am currently working part time with minimal other commitments so I am flexible with my availability in looking after your pet. I am also happy with providing pictures of videos of your pet for additional peace of mind. I will be sticking to any rules given to me by the owners. About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats since the day I was born. Grew up learning how to take care of all kinds of animals, but more importantly, how to understand them and give them the best quality of life possible. I have experience training dogs and cats. I'm currently working full-time from home, so all I need is my laptop and I can be anywhere with and for your pets. My current IT work is something that gives me a great work-life balance and flexibility to spend quality time with pets, but also great mobility, so going at them is something easily achievable for me. I make sure to create an environment where the pet feels comfortable, accompanied, and relaxed above everything. Clean fresh water (and clean litter boxes) has to be available 24/7, food time (and medicines time) will always be respected and on time

About: I grew up with family dogs and I have had my own pet dog since university. I rehomed and successfully trained a 5 year old rescue dog. I trained a very clever gun dog puppy from 8 weeks old. I'm experienced with toy breeds like Malteses and Bichons as well. You can trust me to take care of your dogs when you are away or at work. About: What Sets Me Apart. I got my first dog at the age of 5 years old, after asking for a puppy constantly my Dad came home with a wee Whippet. Other past family dogs that i have experience of are Bedlington Terrier, Jack Russell, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, King Charles Spaniel, Shetland Sheepdog, Border Collie, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Cane Corso. With many years of dedicated and trusted pet sitter for friends and family, I offer a level of care that goes far beyond basic dog walking. My extensive background is backed by professional certifications in pet first aid and advanced dog training. I’ve completed comprehensive course in professional dog walking. I am currently a member of the Guild of Dog Trainers entry level Companion Assistant Dog Trainer. This unique combination of hands-on experience and formal training allows me to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for your beloved companion. I specialise in providing tailored care for playful puppies and mixed breed rescue dogs with behavioural issues. My true passion and expertise, however, lie in working with anxious, nervous, or fear-based reactive dogs, particularly guardian breeds. I approach every dog with a calm, caring, and nurturing demeanor, creating a sense of trust and security that allows even the most sensitive dogs to relax and thrive in my care. My commitment to transforming dogs' lives and supporting dog owners is best illustrated by a recent case study. I undertook behaviour modification program with a reactive dog who had a history of biting and was at risk of being euthanised. Through patient and skilled intervention, she has been successfully rehabilitated. While this intensive program is not a typical service, it demonstrates the depth of my dedication and my ability to handle even the most challenging situations with compassion and expertise. When you entrust your pet to my care, you can be confident they are in the hands of a true professional who is deeply committed to their well-being. My life revolves around dogs, and my own dogs are testament to that commitment. I have started working as self employed dog walker and dog trainer after years of doing it for free to help out friends and family. I am dedicated to hands-on training with my own dogs, a practice that not only sharpens my skills but also ensures I am always bringing the most current and effective techniques to the pets I care for. Saturday I have coaching walk and talk with my own dog and dog training clients. I take Sundays and Mondays to focus on admin and self care. This routine allows me to offer consistent, focused attention to your dog ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and companionship. Therefore, my availability works around about my own dogs. To ensure your pet's utmost comfort and to maintain a consistent routine, I provide all my pet care services exclusively within your own home. This approach allows your pet to remain in their familiar environment, surrounded by their own scents, toys, and comforts, which significantly reduces stress and anxiety while you are away. Currently, I am unable to host pets in my own home as I reside in a rented property where I do not have permission to board other animals. By offering to come to your home, I can give your pet my full attention in the space where they feel most secure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for everyone.

About: Hi, my name is Claudia, and I want to spoil your pet! I'm a lifelong pet owner and I petsit for friends and family. From growing up with dogs, cats, birds, and turtles I know each pet is different and unique and needs all the love, care and support one can provide. I am able to listen to what each pet need and care for it as needed. I live in a nice and quiet part of Hillsborough were there is plenty space to take long walks, and I'm a 10 min distance from Colonial Dog Park where my own pup has played and enjoy his time laying on the grass. I am currently offering walking services and dog/cat sitting in the owner's home. This can be overnight stays or commuting if within driving distance. I am comfortable administering medication as long as I am given strict instructions on how to do so. Currently, I am an online Communications & Media student so my schedule is very open. From the months of May to August my schedule will be as mentioned, but afterwards my schedule would be more restricted. Starting September I'm only available weekends, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings. I have a fenced small backyard, one small dog and I'm able to crate small and middle size dogs if needed. I also have Pet Wee Pee Piddle Pads to prevent any pet related accidents.

About: Hi, I'm Ryan! I'm a remote worker with a lifelong love of dogs. I've cared for dogs of all kinds throughout my life, from energetic puppies to laid-back seniors. I'm comfortable handling various breeds and personalities, and I'm always happy to learn about your dog's unique needs. I'm excited to provide a safe and loving environment for your pet while you're away. * I do not take in last minute overnight bookings (requests that are made on the same day as the stay). If they have a fixed schedule (walks, meals), please let me know. Sticking to your pet's 'normal' as much as possible will provide a comfortable 'holiday' for them with us. My partner and I live in a secure, pet-friendly flat in the city centre. Our flat is free of children and other pets, ensuring your dog receives dedicated attention. We maintain a clean and safe space, keeping any potential hazards out of reach. We also try to only have one dog/ dogs from the same household one at a time w us, this is to ensure they get the maximum care and attention.

Andrea has been amazing, I genuinely can’t fault her. Before even dog sitting for me, she took the time to come and meet Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s been so understanding and helpful, and I honestly can’t describe how grateful I am to have met her ☺️ She’s also such a lovely person, kind, warm and really easy to trust which makes such a difference when leaving your dog in someone else’s care. Kali absolutely loves her and has taken to her so well, which says everything. She definitely goes the extra mile and always makes sure Kali is well looked after, which puts me completely at ease while I’m at work (as dog mums, we always worry 🥹). She checks in regularly, helps Kali learn new tricks, makes sure she’s fed and watered and even takes her out in a sling while she’s waiting for her vaccines. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and that means everything. I would definitely recommend her and will 100% be rebooking!!! Thankyou so much Andrea 🫶🥹

Caroline was brilliant with my dog cooper and I would highly recommend her. Caroline was always responsive in communication and was accomodating when arranging a meet and greet. Caroline showed a real interest and curiosity about cooper and his needs, and was caring about his welfare. Cooper is newly being left at home while i go out to work, having previously been used to me working from home and is currently experiencing anxiety, which Caroline was patient and understanding of, and was willing to spend extra time to make sure cooper was comfortable. I believe that Caroline is a responsible dog sitter, who will prioritise the welfare and safety of any dog or pet in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
