About: I’ve have grown up with loads of pets ranging from fish and hamsters to a cat and a dog. I love walking and have experience with a puppy so would be comfortable with dogs of all ages. I’m a law student at the University of Glasgow with a flexible schedule and lots of time to house sit and go on lots of long walks! I can crate dogs and follow whatever routine and safety you have set up in your own home. I am not providing sitting at my own house.

“Hannah was such a gem popping in on Wallace whilst we were out for dinner and a concert! She kept in touch and came to visit Wallace the night before. She listened to all our instructions and Wallace seemed really settled on our return. Thanks again Hannah!”

About: I’ve had a dog for the past 14 years, so would say i’m well practiced with dogs! I’ve also walked dogs for family and friends over the years. I recently left my work experience job of just over a year and will be going back to university in September. So will have a fairly flexible schedule! I have no dogs in my current flat so if your dog isn’t good with other dogs this won’t be a problem at all!
About: Hiii I’m Gianna! I work in a Pet shop on Hyndland Street (The Partick Pet Food co) so I have experience in different pet needs and ways to help. I have also taken care of a variety of pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles and fishes. My neighbours and family also trusts me with pet sitting duty all the time. Feeding, brushing, walking and playing are my best skills. I have also fostered two puppies for a few weeks 4 years ago, such a great experience. I am currently a Biomedical Science student at university so I will have loads of time that can be dedicated to your fur babies. Fun walks every time!! I currently work at a pet shop in Partick (The Partick Pet Food co) where I have hands-on experience in caring for animals and a strong understanding of pet health and nutrition. I’m confident in providing safe and attentive care! I live in a flat near big parks that I can easily access (e.g Botanics Garden, Kelvingrove Park etc) I also bake and cook so if allowed, homemade snacks! I also provide daily photo & video updates.
“Gemma has been checking in on Tootsie for the past few weeks when I've been out at work. Tootsie is well looked after, and the updates Gemma sends are thorough, photos are funny too. Already have Gemma booked again for this month. Highly recommend”

About: I have had dogs and cats all throughout my life and now I don’t live at home I don’t get to see them as often. I always volunteer to look after family and friend pets whenever needed. I work as part of the admin team at vets now hospital at Charing Cross so see a wide range of dogs and cats all day everyday and it’s the best part of the job. I would love the opportunity to make sure your furry friend has a great mini holiday away from home. During the week I work 8-4 so am generally back by 4:30 so can easily do an afternoon walk, pee break or even watch them for the evening. I can keep them overnight if I’m not working the next day/ away so it just depends on the day for that. Use my calendar as a guage but just send me a message because chances are, I can make it work😁 I have a fenced garden out the back and have a small park a 2 minute walk away, with kelvingrove 10 minutes away. I also have a car so for longer visits I can take them for further, more woodland walks, or even the beach. My sister has done this before (we share a flat) so any pet would be welcome and well loved!

My hands on experience includes growing up with family dogs, owning cats for the last 5 years, and recently becoming a leopard gecko owner. I am free all the time for daytime visits or walks (no overnights), and I pride myself on sending regular, detailed updates so you know your pets are happy and safe. I offer highly flexible daytime care to fit your pet's needs. Because I have my own pets to feed at home, my exact visiting windows are: Mon / Wed / Thu / Sat: Available all morning and afternoon up until 10:00 PM. Sun / Tue / Fri: Available all morning and afternoon up until 6:30 PM. Please note that I am unavailable daily between 1:30 PM–2:30 PM and after 10:00 PM for my own cats' needs, as well as from 6:30 PM onwards on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays for my reptile needs. I am completely free for morning walks, lunchtime feeds, or afternoon playtime just no overnight stays yet! I focus purely on in home pet sitting visits and flexible dog walking services to give your animals top tier care without disrupting their normal routines. “Look no further for the perfect pup-sitter. Lauren has been absolutely amazing at every stage of the process, from booking to initial visit to updates to becoming your dog's new best pal! I know my wee one can't wait to see her for a walk/play again :) Highly recommend.”

“Aleksandra really helped me out when my usual cat sitter cancelled on me a few days before Christmas! So professional, and my cats were happy and relaxed when I returned Thank you so much!!! 😊”

“As my boy Picasso is very shy and can't trust people easily! I had Linah for the second time for him and he is very comfortable and being himself with her. She takes responsibility to do what your cat needs and follows instructions carefully. Also she reports ever single detail and post many photos while she is visiting your cat and makes you have a relaxing holiday or while you are away for whatever reasons. Would definitely choose her again for Picasso ☺️🌹 thank you Linah.”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs both mine and my families since I was little. Happy feeding, and incorporating any little thing that would help your dogs feel less anxious as you're away. I am currently working part time with minimal other commitments so I am flexible with my availability in looking after your pet. I am also happy with providing pictures of videos of your pet for additional peace of mind. I will be sticking to any rules given to me by the owners. Happy to accommodate to any quirks your pet might have to help make them less anxious and more comfortable.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, of several different breeds, as well as a cat since I was 9. I love all pets so much and generally find they accept me. I have learned how to take care of a puppy, kitten, and my dog once he got older and needed more care. I helped my parents with training our golden retriever puppy, and I have helped out family and neighbours with pee breaks, walks, and some overnight stays. I have university during the week days but can definitely do overnight stays if not too far away, and always can come by in evenings and on weekends. I also know incorporating pets in my life will add so much to my daily life, I’m happy to always work around my schedule. I always make sure to tick off all the things a pet will need, and check in with them (instead of just doing my own thing). I am happy to play, or to cuddle, or to not do anything if needed. I am also good to exercise the pets however much is needed
“Emma took fantastic care of my Sasha while I was away. She sent regular updates and photos, and it was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable my cat was with her. Emma is friendly, caring, and clearly loves animals. I would highly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive cat sitter. I'll definitely be booking Emma again in the future! Thank you so much 😊”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and currently have a dog of my own, so caring for them is something that comes very naturally to me. Since I was around 10 years old, neighbours, friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets, whether that’s feeding them, taking them on walks, or spending time playing and keeping them company. I’m reliable, attentive and genuinely love animals, so I always make sure every pet feels safe, happy and well cared for while their owner is away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine as I already have a dog of my own and go on daily walks. I am at home all week so I’m available for dog walks, drop-ins, pet sitting and doggy day care. I’m flexible where possible and always make time to ensure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise and care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always make sure dogs are supervised, walked safely and kept in a calm, caring environment. Having grown up with dogs and owning one myself, I’m very aware of their needs and behaviour. I will follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks and any specific instructions, so they feel secure and happy while you’re away. I have a miniature labradoodle named Rory who is very friendly and loves having a doggy companion!

About: I got my first dog when I was in primary school and have been taking good care of it until now. It is already 12 years old, so I have experience in looking after elderly dogs. In junior high school, I adopted a sick kitten and had the experience of feeding it milk and giving it injections. I have been adopting it until now and it is already five and a half years old. I currently have plenty of time, so I can be with your pets at any time and take care of them. The time frame is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. I have a large open-air balcony which is convenient for my pets to play on, and there is a park right downstairs from my house. Besides, my home has soft carpets to protect pets with joint problems.

About: I have a Bichon Frise of my own and have been raising him for over ten years. I’ve also looked after dogs for friends on many occasions. I like dogs since I was a child, so I genuinely understand how much pets mean to their owners. I am a student in summer vacation, so I am generally available most of the time as long as I am informed in advance. especially free in the afternoon everyday I usually walk dogs twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Besides basic feeding and walks, I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you may have

Susan has been an absolute life saver. Had a Pet Sitter cancel last minute when doing a show in the Edinburgh Fringe, smack bang in the middle of the day. She stepped in last minute and has been helping us out for more than 2 weeks now. She's wonderful with our 8 month old puppy and is so caring and tentative with the way we work with our little man. He loves seeing her & we will absolutely be using Susan long after the Fringe ends - because she's amazing!

Samantha was quick to respond and met Shadow before she confirmed the booking. This made me feel at ease before she even arrived. I received lovely photos and videos and feedback after she had left to update me. I am happy she took care of my puppy and would book her again.

Jack was an excellent dog sitter. He has a very calm and gentle nature, and it was obvious from the start that he naturally connects well with dogs. He made my dog feel comfortable and relaxed, and I could tell he genuinely cares about animals. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in his care and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and capable dog sitter.

Isabelle helped us very last minute with our reactive dog and we couldn’t have asked for any better! She came round to meet our dog multiple times before dog sitting to ensure he was comfortable with her and then sent lots of updates when we were away. Our dog took to Isabelle very well and it was clear she had a lot of care for him. We can’t thank you enough!

Andrea has been amazing, I genuinely can’t fault her. Before even dog sitting for me, she took the time to come and meet Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s been so understanding and helpful, and I honestly can’t describe how grateful I am to have met her ☺️ She’s also such a lovely person, kind, warm and really easy to trust which makes such a difference when leaving your dog in someone else’s care. Kali absolutely loves her and has taken to her so well, which says everything. She definitely goes the extra mile and always makes sure Kali is well looked after, which puts me completely at ease while I’m at work (as dog mums, we always worry 🥹). She checks in regularly, helps Kali learn new tricks, makes sure she’s fed and watered and even takes her out in a sling while she’s waiting for her vaccines. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and that means everything. I would definitely recommend her and will 100% be rebooking!!! Thankyou so much Andrea 🫶🥹

Alys was amazing!! She came to meet us before her first sit with Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s is a young pup and it’s not easy and she smashed it and helped out where was needed, my pup was sleeping for 2 and a half hours after her visit ☺️🐶 would highly recommend!! And will definitely rebook with her again 😃

Mamaati is a brilliant and caring sitter who looked after Griff and Mac so well. It was particularly great that Mamaati has experience of dogs who are older, and also those who aren't great with other dogs. Looking forward to booking again in the future. Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Mamaati.

Jessica was absolutely amazing! She was great about making a flexible schedule work and was prompt with texts and updates. Our little (60kg) dog normally is shy of strangers but she instantly took to Jessica as if they had been lifelong friends, so we knew she was in good hands. Jessica was also great with taking care of a unique medical need for our dog which we are greatly appreciative of. Would highly recommend and we look forward to booking Jessica in the future!
Caroline was brilliant with my dog cooper and I would highly recommend her. Caroline was always responsive in communication and was accomodating when arranging a meet and greet. Caroline showed a real interest and curiosity about cooper and his needs, and was caring about his welfare. Cooper is newly being left at home while i go out to work, having previously been used to me working from home and is currently experiencing anxiety, which Caroline was patient and understanding of, and was willing to spend extra time to make sure cooper was comfortable. I believe that Caroline is a responsible dog sitter, who will prioritise the welfare and safety of any dog or pet in her care.

Hin Chi Jacobi fed, walked, and cared for my beloved Hans with exceptional professionalism and genuine kindness. My dog couldn’t have been in better hands, and Hin’s dedication was clear in every detail. Even though the visit was meant to be shorter, he spent extra time to move at my elderly dog’s pace. I highly recommend him and truly see a bright future ahead of him in veterinary and animal care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
