Great experience with Cas - we got pictures of the cat everytime Cas went over so we didn't even have time to worry while we were away. Mabel got playtime and good pets and we arrived home to a very happy cat! Thanks!!

Alys was amazing!! She came to meet us before her first sit with Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s is a young pup and it’s not easy and she smashed it and helped out where was needed, my pup was sleeping for 2 and a half hours after her visit ☺️🐶 would highly recommend!! And will definitely rebook with her again 😃

Cameron took care of Raggie for 4 consecutive days. He took him for a walk and made sure he ate his food. He was efficient and considerate and sent lots of detailed reports and photos! Raggie loved him! I was especially concerned because Raggie is reactive with male dogs sometimes, but everything went really smoothly. Thank you, Cameron!

Taisa was an absolutely fantastic cat sitter. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, keeping us updated with lovely messages and brilliant photos that really put our minds at ease. Elio clearly adored her and looked so relaxed and comfortable in her care, which says everything. She looked after him incredibly well, and it was obvious he was getting lots of attention and affection. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Taisa again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable cat sitter.

About: I have over 3 years of experience caring for animals and genuinely love spending time with pets. I and my friend(flatmate), Ash regularly dog sit and host her cousin’s Cavapoo who lives in Edinburgh, providing walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I also have a small dog rescue back home, which has given me hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I am patient, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Additionally, Ash works from home full time so she is always there while I work 5 mins away, which makes providing everything you need, more accessible. I currently work part-time at Cake Box GWR and also spend part of my week working from home. My best friend and flatmate works from home full-time, so there’s always someone at home to provide company, supervision, and care. We’ve also looked after a 4-year-old Cavapoo on several occasions, including stays lasting several weeks, and it fit seamlessly into our daily routine. Between both of us, we have flexible schedules and are happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs, whether that’s sticking to a specific feeding routine, administering medication, or simply providing plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention, basically whatever you need! I’m a big believer that pets are happiest when they feel comfortable, so my aim is to make them feel as at home with me as possible. Whether they love playing all day or would rather curl up in a sunny spot on the sofa and nap, I’m happy to oblige. I live in a bright, spacious two-bedroom flat with a big living room (great for cats) that gets loads of natural light, and there are plenty of great walking routes nearby. Kelvingrove Park is only about 10 minutes away, so dogs have lots of options for walks and new smells to explore. Because I work part-time and from home, and my flatmate works from home full-time, there’s always someone around to keep your pet company. We’ve looked after a Cavapoo for weeks at a time, so we’re used to having furry guests around and making them part of our everyday life. I’ll always stick to your pet’s routine as closely as I can, whether that’s meal times, walks, medication, or just their favourite way to relax. And of course, I’ll send plenty of photos and updates, because I know how much it helps when you’re missing them!

We had a fantastic experience with Paige. She took great care of our two cats and kept us fully at ease while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout, and she sent plenty of photos so we always knew they were happy and relaxed. We had to stay longer away and she accommodated the request. We came home to two very content cats and everything in perfect order. Highly recommended, we’d happily book with her again.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover - I grew up in a close knit neighbourhood with lots of dogs and had cats at home. My pet sitting has continued throughout my life - informally taking care of my friends and family’s animals whenever I can and I volunteered in an animal shelter for a short period. I would love a pet of my own, however at the moment I work full time so I wouldn’t be able to give the care and attention I think every animal deserves! That being said I have a lot of love to give and it would be my pleasure and honour to expend some of that on your furry companion! I work full time Monday-Friday, I am available before 7:30 and after 5 most weekdays. But I have a slightly irregular schedule so on occasion have a weekday off! Boarding only available on weekends due to work I have a backyard, with a small fenced in patio as well as a larger unfenced lawn. I also live close to multiple parks so many good spots for walks! I also have a second bedroom with plenty of room to set up anything your pet needs (crates, beds etc.)

About: Had pets my whole life back in Spain, which I miss terribly. I've trained dogs since they were puppies and raised them all the way until the bitter end. Now, here in Scotland, I miss my family's dog terribly so a friend referred me to this app. I absolutely love dogs and cats and I hope I can offer your dog(s) lots of love, treats, and long walks. I'm currently working part-time and I like to keep active, so I look forward to long walks and playtime. I'm fairly flexible so feel free to get in touch and let me know if a time is unavailable on the app but you'd be interested in the service regardless! If I'm visiting, please know that I'm a very respectful person when it comes to other people's homes. I'll keep clean and organised, as if none had even been there and I'm very happy to hear of any specific rules in place. Our home has plenty of blankets and a massive couch at your pet's disposal, and I live very close to the Kelvingrove Park so I can give them lots of walks! We live in a warm and cozy flat, and if we have any furry visitors, they won't be left alone under any circumstances, but instead they'll be cozied up wherever they fancy, while I'm always ready for playtime!

About: I work shorter hours during the day, and my schedule is quite flexible! Whether it's my own dog or beloved pets of family/friends, I know how important it is to have responsible care! I'm a big fan of providing the physical and mental exercise or careful attention your pup might need. I've cared for reactive dogs, dogs going through heartworm treatment, elderly dogs, and multi-pet households. I trust you to know what's best for your pet and I just provide tailored flexible support! P.s. I've taken care of and lived with all kinds of pets - dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish and more. I am currently available throughout the weekdays and weekends. I have lots of flexibility in my weekly schedule to be able to support your pet's needs. I am happy to travel to you for walks or sitting. I trust you know what is best for your pet and am happy to provide the care they need. I'm unable to board at my own place for now. My own dog is happy to tag along for walks but benefits from a structured intro period.

Couldn't thank Rhea enough for looking after my cat Layla last weekend! Rhea is extremely attentive and a lovely warm personality. She's incredibly calm and gentle which is any pets would to gravitate to. Layla can be quite shy but loved Rhea from the moment they met, think shes Laylas new fave person! I loved getting lots of beautiful pictures and videos after each visit and put me right at ease. Couldn't recommend Rhea enough and can't wait for her to visit Layla again 😊

Andrea has been amazing, I genuinely can’t fault her. Before even dog sitting for me, she took the time to come and meet Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s been so understanding and helpful, and I honestly can’t describe how grateful I am to have met her ☺️ She’s also such a lovely person, kind, warm and really easy to trust which makes such a difference when leaving your dog in someone else’s care. Kali absolutely loves her and has taken to her so well, which says everything. She definitely goes the extra mile and always makes sure Kali is well looked after, which puts me completely at ease while I’m at work (as dog mums, we always worry 🥹). She checks in regularly, helps Kali learn new tricks, makes sure she’s fed and watered and even takes her out in a sling while she’s waiting for her vaccines. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and that means everything. I would definitely recommend her and will 100% be rebooking!!! Thankyou so much Andrea 🫶🥹

Caroline was brilliant with my dog cooper and I would highly recommend her. Caroline was always responsive in communication and was accomodating when arranging a meet and greet. Caroline showed a real interest and curiosity about cooper and his needs, and was caring about his welfare. Cooper is newly being left at home while i go out to work, having previously been used to me working from home and is currently experiencing anxiety, which Caroline was patient and understanding of, and was willing to spend extra time to make sure cooper was comfortable. This is the first time they have been left for more than an hour with someone new and they did not really settle until just before I returned. But they were both very happy with Carla (as was I) and I know that after repeat visits, they will get the idea and settle more quickly. I have already booked Carla again.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
