“Rhea was fantastic! She showed up right on time, handled our big, energetic dog like a pro, and was super kind and caring. We’ll definitely be asking her to help again, highly recommend!”

About: Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their usual routine, I will treat your pets with the same care and respect as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am currently a grad student, so I have plenty of time to look after your fur babies, and I provide all necessary care required I understand that pets can feel anxious when their owners are away, so I take a calm, patient, and caring approach to help them feel comfortable and secure.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, of several different breeds, as well as a cat since I was 9. I love all pets so much and generally find they accept me. I have learned how to take care of a puppy, kitten, and my dog once he got older and needed more care. I helped my parents with training our golden retriever puppy, and I have helped out family and neighbours with pee breaks, walks, and some overnight stays. I have university during the week days but can definitely do overnight stays if not too far away, and always can come by in evenings and on weekends. I also know incorporating pets in my life will add so much to my daily life, I’m happy to always work around my schedule. I always make sure to tick off all the things a pet will need, and check in with them (instead of just doing my own thing). I am happy to play, or to cuddle, or to not do anything if needed. I am also good to exercise the pets however much is needed
“Maia was absolutely amazing! Everything you would want about a cat sitter❤️ she was always consistent with her love and dedication to caring for the kitties❤️❤️ She sent the best pictures you could ever want of your babies! Thank you so much!!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was a wee guy. I’ve also owned several throughout my life. I’m good with training and I’m quite strong so can easily handle dogs. Also got experience with my aunts senior dog and know they may need medicine and a bit extra help. Currently working from home so plenty of time on my hands. I enjoy the outdoors so figured this would be the best way to spend my extra free time. I’ve got a big back garden, lots of space, I’m happy having pets up on my bed or on the sofa but also know how important it is to keep routine so I’ll go with your instructions and keep that going.
About: I had a dog and looked after my friend's and neighbour's dogs before for years. Surprisingly, most of the dogs I had spent time with were good boys! Recently, I looked after my previous flatmate's dog who requires special care e.g. scared of loud noise and kids. As a full-time professional, I’m available to care for dogs on weekends and bank holidays—perfect for those who need a trusted carer during their time away. Locations in the city center, West End, or anywhere easily accessible by subway suit me best. I ensure each dog gets the care and attention they deserve! I live in a rental flat where dogs are not permitted, so I’m unable to offer overnight care at my place. However, I’m more than happy to look after dogs during the day or take them for walks outside—it’s no problem at all!
About: Hi, my name is Claudia, and I want to spoil your pet! I'm a lifelong pet owner and I petsit for friends and family. From growing up with dogs, cats, birds, and turtles I know each pet is different and unique and needs all the love, care and support one can provide. I am able to listen to what each pet need and care for it as needed. I live in a nice and quiet part of Hillsborough were there is plenty space to take long walks, and I'm a 10 min distance from Colonial Dog Park where my own pup has played and enjoy his time laying on the grass. I am currently offering walking services and dog/cat sitting in the owner's home. This can be overnight stays or commuting if within driving distance. I am comfortable administering medication as long as I am given strict instructions on how to do so. Currently, I am an online Communications & Media student so my schedule is very open. From the months of May to August my schedule will be as mentioned, but afterwards my schedule would be more restricted. Starting September I'm only available weekends, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings. I have a fenced small backyard, one small dog and I'm able to crate small and middle size dogs if needed. I also have Pet Wee Pee Piddle Pads to prevent any pet related accidents.

About: I've taken care of dogs since i was 15. My family had up to 5 dogs at the same time, all rescues. Since then, we had over 12 dogs, sharing responsibilities, care and loads of love. Later, I rescued 2 cats, Dirce and Martina, when I was living on my own. I'm a writer and teacher, and I work from home every day, including weekends. I have a pretty flexible and organized schedule that I can adjust according to my projects. I usually set times for pet care early in the morning, during lunch break, early evening and before bed. I live in a very spacious flat, on the ground floor, with controlled access to a beautiful, shared back garden, big enough to play fetch or just enjoy the grass and sun.
“So happy that Soojin was taking care of the two girls. We got photos and comments everyday which helps a great deal. Upon our return we could see the girls were relaxed and happy, so obviously been well cared for. Thank you Soojin!! 🙏😁”

About: Had pets my whole life back in Spain, which I miss terribly. I've trained dogs since they were puppies and raised them all the way until the bitter end. Now, here in Scotland, I miss my family's dog terribly so a friend referred me to this app. I absolutely love dogs and cats and I hope I can offer your dog(s) lots of love, treats, and long walks. I'm currently working part-time and I like to keep active, so I look forward to long walks and playtime. I'm fairly flexible so feel free to get in touch and let me know if a time is unavailable on the app but you'd be interested in the service regardless! If I'm visiting, please know that I'm a very respectful person when it comes to other people's homes. I'll keep clean and organised, as if none had even been there and I'm very happy to hear of any specific rules in place. Our home has plenty of blankets and a massive couch at your pet's disposal, and I live very close to the Kelvingrove Park so I can give them lots of walks! We live in a warm and cozy flat, and if we have any furry visitors, they won't be left alone under any circumstances, but instead they'll be cozied up wherever they fancy, while I'm always ready for playtime!

“Fantastic. Thank you so much for taking good care of our pets when we were away. I'd definitely ask you to do it again if we went away in future and would recommend you to other people looking for a per sitter.”

About: I grew up with family dogs and I have had my own pet dog since university. I rehomed and successfully trained a 5 year old rescue dog. I trained a very clever gun dog puppy from 8 weeks old. I'm experienced with toy breeds like Malteses and Bichons as well. You can trust me to take care of your dogs when you are away or at work. I will only have one dog in my home at one time, and I will always update you throughout the day 😀 I'm an engineer and I work from home on a flexible schedule. Please contact me about availability I will get back to you very soon! Currently I don't live with a dog, and I'm not a smoker. There is a garden downstairs and Glasgow Green is 3 minutes walk from my flat.
About: Offering services again in 2026 after a wee break. My job was affected by the recent fire at central so my schedule is generally quite flexible at the moment! Whether it's my own dog or beloved pets of family/friends, I know how important it is to have responsible care! I'm a big fan of providing the physical and mental exercise or careful attention your pup might need. I've cared for reactive dogs, dogs going through heartworm treatment, elderly dogs, and multi-pet households. I trust you to know what's best for your pet and I just provide tailored flexible support! P.s. I've taken care of and lived with all kinds of pets - dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish and more. I am currently available throughout the weekdays and weekends. I have lots of flexibility in my weekly schedule to be able to support your pet's needs. I am happy to travel to you for walks or sitting. I trust you know what is best for your pet and am happy to provide the care they need. I'm unable to board at my own place for now. My own dog is happy to tag along for walks but benefits from a structured intro period.

About: Swiss high school teacher spending 1.5 years in Glasgow, with 10 years of experience caring for a black Labrador during holidays. Reliable and caring dog sitter who treats your pup like family. Currently on a work break and home most days, so very flexible for walks and care. Not available on Tuesdays as I volunteer at a dog rehoming centre. Living in a flat without a garden, but very close to a park for frequent walks, playtime, and outdoor exercise, ensuring dogs still get plenty of fresh air and activity.

About: I have always enjoyed spending time with dogs and caring for them. I naturally take care of pets, making sure they are safe, happy, and well looked after. I enjoy going on walks and giving dogs attention and companionship. I am now starting to offer dog walking services because I genuinely love animals and enjoy being active. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always make sure they are comfortable and cared for. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I am flexible and available most days, especially mornings and afternoons. I enjoy going on daily walks, so dog walking naturally fits into my lifestyle. I can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of pet owners when needed. I always prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet I care for. When walking dogs, I make sure they are securely leashed, supervised at all times, and kept away from unsafe situations. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully, including feeding routines and special care needs. I aim to create a calm, trustworthy, and caring environment so pets feel comfortable and safe.

“I cannot recommend Linah highly enough!! She truly went over and above for our cat Jaffa while we were on holiday. Linah built such a trusting relationship with Jaffa that Jaffa was able to show her affection, which is the first time she has done so with another human. Linah is so professional and clearly very good at what she does. Her communication was excellent. We received around 20 photos of Jaffa and videos every day so we felt very reassured she was being well cared for. We will not hesitate to book with Linah again.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with both cats and dogs. Growing up with a cat taught me to understand and appreciate feline behaviour, which looking after my neighbours dogs - ranging from puppies to seniors - gave me hands-on knowledge of their unique needs at every stage of life. I work from home two days a week, and have weekends free. I am very active making playtime and/or walk time a part of my everyday. I prioritize your pets safety and comfort, providing attentive care based on the animals needs. You can trust me to follow routines and keep your pet happy and secure.
“Desislava provided an exceptional level of care for our cat, far beyond what we expected. One of the most important aspects for us was our cat’s medication routine, which requires accuracy, consistency, and calm handling — and Desislava managed this flawlessly. Every dose was administered on time, every time, with clear awareness of dosage, routine, and our cat’s comfort. Her time management was impeccable. Visits were punctual, structured, and never rushed. She respected feeding times, medication schedules, and routines precisely, which made a huge difference to our cat’s wellbeing and stability while we were away. Beyond the practical side, Desislava showed genuine care and attentiveness. She noticed small changes in behaviour, adjusted her approach when needed, and kept us thoroughly informed with regular updates and photos. Her communication was clear, reassuring, and proactive, which gave us complete peace of mind. It is rare to find someone who combines reliability, medical responsibility, and genuine compassion so naturally. Desislava treated our cat as a family member, not a task. We returned home to a calm, settled, and well-cared-for pet, and we would trust her again without hesitation. She comes with our strongest possible recommendation.”

“Lucas always does such a fantastic job of looking after our cat and we would highly recommend him! He sends regular updates and is always so kind, professional and our cat is clearly comfortable with him. Thank you Lucas ☺️😲”

Jack was an excellent dog sitter. He has a very calm and gentle nature, and it was obvious from the start that he naturally connects well with dogs. He made my dog feel comfortable and relaxed, and I could tell he genuinely cares about animals. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in his care and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and capable dog sitter.

Isabelle helped us very last minute with our reactive dog and we couldn’t have asked for any better! She came round to meet our dog multiple times before dog sitting to ensure he was comfortable with her and then sent lots of updates when we were away. Our dog took to Isabelle very well and it was clear she had a lot of care for him. We can’t thank you enough!

Andrea has been amazing, I genuinely can’t fault her. Before even dog sitting for me, she took the time to come and meet Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s been so understanding and helpful, and I honestly can’t describe how grateful I am to have met her ☺️ She’s also such a lovely person, kind, warm and really easy to trust which makes such a difference when leaving your dog in someone else’s care. Kali absolutely loves her and has taken to her so well, which says everything. She definitely goes the extra mile and always makes sure Kali is well looked after, which puts me completely at ease while I’m at work (as dog mums, we always worry 🥹). She checks in regularly, helps Kali learn new tricks, makes sure she’s fed and watered and even takes her out in a sling while she’s waiting for her vaccines. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals, and that means everything. I would definitely recommend her and will 100% be rebooking!!! Thankyou so much Andrea 🫶🥹

Alys was amazing!! She came to meet us before her first sit with Kali, which I really appreciated. She’s is a young pup and it’s not easy and she smashed it and helped out where was needed, my pup was sleeping for 2 and a half hours after her visit ☺️🐶 would highly recommend!! And will definitely rebook with her again 😃

Mamaati is a brilliant and caring sitter who looked after Griff and Mac so well. It was particularly great that Mamaati has experience of dogs who are older, and also those who aren't great with other dogs. Looking forward to booking again in the future. Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Mamaati.

Jessica was absolutely amazing! She was great about making a flexible schedule work and was prompt with texts and updates. Our little (60kg) dog normally is shy of strangers but she instantly took to Jessica as if they had been lifelong friends, so we knew she was in good hands. Jessica was also great with taking care of a unique medical need for our dog which we are greatly appreciative of. Would highly recommend and we look forward to booking Jessica in the future!
Caroline was brilliant with my dog cooper and I would highly recommend her. Caroline was always responsive in communication and was accomodating when arranging a meet and greet. Caroline showed a real interest and curiosity about cooper and his needs, and was caring about his welfare. Cooper is newly being left at home while i go out to work, having previously been used to me working from home and is currently experiencing anxiety, which Caroline was patient and understanding of, and was willing to spend extra time to make sure cooper was comfortable. I believe that Caroline is a responsible dog sitter, who will prioritise the welfare and safety of any dog or pet in her care.

Hin Chi Jacobi fed, walked, and cared for my beloved Hans with exceptional professionalism and genuine kindness. My dog couldn’t have been in better hands, and Hin’s dedication was clear in every detail. Even though the visit was meant to be shorter, he spent extra time to move at my elderly dog’s pace. I highly recommend him and truly see a bright future ahead of him in veterinary and animal care.

Carla was great (and very patient) with Principessa and Zuzu. This is the first time they have been left for more than an hour with someone new and they did not really settle until just before I returned. But they were both very happy with Carla (as was I) and I know that after repeat visits, they will get the idea and settle more quickly. I have already booked Carla again.

Rachel was very quick to respond to my initial message, and went out her way to come meet our pup before dog sitting so they could get to know eachother before. Very good at updating us and taking pics of their time together! Angus seemed very content when we got home which is a great sign ! Will definitely be booking her again :)

Even before Isabella dropped in to see Lenda her communication was fabulous. On the day she arrived promptly and sent a video/photo of Lenda. Everything went well and Lenda was very happy. I will certainly rebook Isabella in the future and thoroughly recommend her to everyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
