Amy looked after Jax our cocker spaniel for one night and was absolutely great with him. He can be wary with people he has not met before but took to Amy right away. She keep us updated on a regular basis with videos and photos and he was taken on several long walks which was great for him. Would not hesitate to use Amy again and would recommend her to anyone else

About: I used to have a dog (a goldie boy), look after my friend's and neighbour's dogs including rescure dogs before. I have been interested in dog training and have been educating myself am able to control dogs including teenage dogs in public and at home. I am able to run a dog every morning and evening for their good health. As a full-time professional, I’m available to care for dogs on weekends and bank holidays—perfect for those who need a trusted carer during their time away. Locations in the city center, West End, or anywhere easily accessible by subway suit me best. I ensure each dog gets the care and attention they deserve! I live in a rental flat where dogs are not permitted, so I’m unable to offer overnight care at my place. However, I’m more than happy to look after dogs during the day or take them for walks outside—it’s no problem at all!

Idoia and her partner are amazing sitters! Jet came back super tired from all of the activity she had on her 2 night stay! We got loads of updates and plenty of pictures to keep us sane! Once she was home she jumped up on our bed and that was her asleep for hours. Thank you for taking such good care of our precious cargo. We will definitely use Idoia again, and I'm pretty sure if Jet could talk she'd agree.

About: I have loved animals all my life and have grown up around both cats and dogs. I had a German Shepherd and have owned cats for most of my life, and regularly spend time with my boyfriend’s parents Cockapoo. As we sadly don’t currently have any pets I am really looking forward to having some animals around again! We are a couple in our late twenties living in Hyndland, both working hybrid and so there would always be someone in with your pet during the day ❤️🐾 We both work full time however both work hybrid and my partner is off every Friday. There will always be somebody around! We are available for walks, boarding, cat sitting or popping over to feed cats too if that is needed. We have a car so can get about easily! We stay in a flat in Hyndland so unfortunately don’t have a garden however we have lots of parks nearby, a shared garden outside and a car which we would use for bigger more exciting walks 🐾 otherwise we are really near to both Victoria park and kelvingrove park.

About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life. I grew up with Westies at home. I often work long hours or work away from home so I’m not in the position to get a dog of my own at the moment. I would love to spend time taking care of and loving on your dog when I’m not working and have the time to fully commit. I work on short term contracts and currently only accept bookings when I have gaps in work, or at the weekends, so that I can fully commit my time to your dog. Dogs would have the run of my flat. No room out furniture off limits. I live alone and have no other pets or kids. Happy to follow the owner/ dogs guidance in how their dog should be cared for.

About: I'm the owner of Mackitosh, a small 2.5-year-old Jack Russel cross. We love going for walks, particularly into the nearby wooded areas. Mackintosh loves other dogs and would welcome other playmates. I'm well used to dealing with nervous or reactive dogs (Mackintosh can be quite anxious). I'm happy to provide basic lead and recall training, administer medication, and give baths/showers after muddy outings. My house is currently undergoing renovations, but everything is safe, and I'm happy to make reasonable ad-hoc adjustments. I'm happy to accommodate large dogs, but it depends on their temperament, so please let me know what they're like in your opening message. I work from home with a large back garden. Breakfast is usually at 8 with a short time in the garden or walk to the local park at the end of the road. The main walk is after lunch (unless it's too hot), when we typically go to Queens or Maxwell Park. Depending on the weather and energy levels, we sometimes do a short walk after dinner (around 7), followed by a short garden/toilet break before bed (around 11). I have a fenced garden in which dogs can play. My flat is large, 100 sq m, in which Mackintosh is happy and safe to play. I keep all my dangerous items (tools, cleaning stuff) tucked away behind closed doors. I have furniture covers if they want to sit and watch films with me.

She was really communicative throughout and met Bobo beforehand to get a sense of him and his needs. Most importantly, she clearly enjoyed watching him and obviously loves dogs. It makes such a huge difference leaving our pet in the care of someone who has a genuine connection and care for dogs. Would recommend Chloe to anyone looking for someone to look after their pet!

About: I’m a proud dog mum to Rosie, my friendly 3-year-old Cavapoo, who loves the company of other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I regularly care for dogs in my home and understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while owners are away. I have a spacious three-bedroom home with a secure, fully fenced garden, as well as plenty of beautiful local walks nearby to keep your dog happy, active, and well cared for. Your dog will be treated as part of the family and receive lots of attention, affection, and exercise during their stay. Dogs are allowed on all furniture and we have no children in our home. It tends to just be myself at home as my partner works offshore. Dog care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home full-time and manage my own diary, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention, companionship, walks, and toilet breaks throughout the day. My partner works away regularly, so it’s usually just me and my friendly Cavapoo, Rosie, at home. Rosie loves having canine company and enjoys playing in our secure garden as well as exploring the many lovely local walks nearby. This means your dog will never be left alone and will be treated as part of our family during their stay I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a very dog-friendly home where dogs can relax, play, and feel comfortable. I have experience caring for puppies as young as 14 weeks old, as well as adult dogs of different breeds and personalities. My home is calm, safe, and welcoming, with no children or other pets apart from my Cavapoo Rosie. I always aim to provide a loving environment where dogs feel settled, secure, and part of the family.

I couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter for our kitten, Mia. Albatoul is such a kind, caring and gentle person, and it was obvious from the very beginning how much she genuinely loves animals. She kept me updated with lovely photos and videos every day, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Mia can be very playful and mischievous, but she was so happy and comfortable with Albatoul. They built a wonderful bond, and Mia even slept next to her, which says a lot about how safe and loved she felt. We came home to a happy, relaxed and well-cared-for kitten. We are incredibly grateful for the love and attention Mia received, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend Albatoul to anyone seeking a trustworthy, caring, and reliable cat sitter. Thank you, Alba, so much for taking such wonderful care of Mia. It means the world to us, and we hope to see you again in the future!

This was my first time boarding my dog, Goose, since moving overseas with her so I was a bit nervous. She spent the weekend at Nicole’s and had an absolute blast making friends with her pup Jeff. Nicole was absolutely wonderful from start to finish- she kept me updated the entire time, sent me pictures of the two playing together, and had great communication about pick up and drop off. I could tell Goose was in good hands and so well taken care of. Will definitely be using again in the future. Thanks Nicole!!

Cody was so excited to be dropped off with Mia and Molly for the first time, and quickly felt comfortable staying with them. They were patient with his quirks, helped him feel at ease and kept me updated throughout his stay. Mia was particularly calm and helpful when he had to go to the vet unexpectedly (Cody’s fault!) and kept in touch the whole time. They took him on long walks and made sure he was well looked after, especially in the hot weather. I’d thoroughly recommend them to take care of any dog and will happily use them again. Thanks both!

Cathal came through for us when another sitter on Rover canceled our booking just days before we were due to leave for our holiday! He was very communicative and friendly - it was such a relief to meet him with Poppy and Matthew, and we knew they'd be taken good care of. We received daily updates and pictures while we were away, and we could tell that the pups were very happy and settled. They clearly loved their own holiday with Cathal, and honestly, we can tell that they miss him! 🙈 Thanks so much Cathal! We'll be sure to come straight to you if they need looked after again 🤗

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
