“Sara was great with our boy peanut. Plenty of walks and updates provided throughout the day! Would highly recommend Sara to others looking to have their pets well looked after 🙂”

“We were very lucky to have found Ioana. She is a lovely, caring person and was amazing with Willow whilst we were away for a week. Communication before and during boarding was excellent and very prompt. We got regular updates several times a day, which were very reassuring. She was very attentive and kind, and it was clear that Willow was happy during her stay with Ioana. We would highly recommend Ioana as a sitter and would definitely book again.”

“Anne Marie took great care of my small dog Buzz. She ensured he is taken care of and provided a safe clean and enjoyable environment. I would highly recommend Anne Marie to anyone looking for a trusted dog boarding service.”

“This was Princepessa and Zuzu's first time having a sleepover (well 2). They are rescues from Cyprus and have only been with me for four months and I needed them taken care of for a couple of nights during my house move. Although very anxious and challenging for the first few hours, Eilidh and Chris were very patient and supportive and eventually Princepessa and Zuzu calmed down and enjoyed the rest of their stay. It was clear to me when I picked them up, that they had received all the love and care they needed and, much as they were glad to see me, I think the would have been happy to stay a bit longer. Moving house is stressful at the best of times, but knowing my 'girls' were in safe and in caring, loving hands, helped enormously.”

“Cheryl was just amazing with our 18 month old Romanian rescue dog. She was so patient as Luna figured out her and her lovely home. After an initial walk, we booked in an overnight stay and is safe to say Luna has a new best pal! Cheryl kept is up to date throughout the stay as it was the first time Luna had been away overnight. Nothing phased her and we picked up a very chilled happy puppy the next day.”

“Alice was amazing with our dog Daisy! Daisy was so well looked after and settled instantly. We were away for 8 nights and Alice sent us regular photos and updates. This was the first time we used Rover and I’m so glad we found Alice and won’t hesitate to board Daisy again with her. We were delayed travelling back and Alice kindly offered to take Daisy for an additional night without hesitation. Thank you Alice for taking such good care of Daisy 🐶”

“Lesley had Mila again, absolutely fantastic. Communication is excellent, extremely friendly and ensures you feel safe that your pet is being well looked after. Would highly recommend.”

“Thanks for Krzysztof and his wife for looking after Grace, I've been receiving pictures and some videos on a daily basis. It was really reassuring knowing Grace is having lot of fun and that everything is going well!”

“Elizabeth is absolutely brilliant! She looked after Taco for two weeks and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Not only is she excellent with dogs, but she's also just a genuinely lovely person. Taco clearly formed a real bond with her during the stay, and I could tell he was being treated with real care and affection. Elizabeth sent regular updates which meant the world to me while I was away. She's reliable, trustworthy, and the kind of person you feel completely comfortable leaving your dog with. I'd book with Elizabeth again in a heartbeat and can't recommend her highly enough!”

“First time leaving coco with anyone except family and I could not have picked someone better. Danielle was wonderful with him and very understanding, I will definitely be a return customer.”

“Tommy absolutely loved his time with Megan, infact he didn't want to leave, Megan provided updates and pic's of his overnight stay and I felt totally relaxed leaving Tommy for the night, will deffinetly be using Megan again and Tommy cant wait for the next time. Would 100% recommend Megan to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been very comfortable caring for different breeds and personalities. My partner and I have experience looking after family dogs and pets for others, particularly greyhounds, poodle mixes, chihuahuas, and terriers. I’m confident with walks, feeding routines, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while in my company. My partner and I mainly work from home, we go for morning, lunch time and evening walks that a dog can perfectly fit into. One of us will always be home with the dog. We have a basement flat with direct access to a private garden with plenty of grass that is completely walled off and has a locked gate at all times. Our garden is well maintained and clean. There are no other dogs in the block that would disturb your dog if they are nervous around other animals.
“Aleksandra was a great host for our dog Luna! She was very communicative in the build up to Luna’s boarding, and whilst we were away she kept us updated with lots of messages. Aleksandra was friendly, keen to ensure Luna’s routine wasn’t disrupted (as much as possible!) and very intuitive with how to help Luna settle in - clearly someone who understands dogs’ needs. We’d love to book with Aleksandra again in the future if needed :)”

“Jiawen has taken amazing care of my dog Lisa❤️. I received regular updates, photos and videos every day, and Lisa looked happy and relaxed in all of them. It really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring! 🐾”

“It was obvious our dog Chilli had the best time with Caoimhe and we loved getting the update pictures! Chilli’s quite a nervous dog with strangers but it was clear Caoimhe made her feel safe and comfortable very quickly that Chilli made herself right at home! I would recommend anyone looking for a doggy sitter to book in with Caoimhe!”

Tetyana was an excellent sitter. From the meet and greet she proved to have a very good way with Barney and that is why I chose her. She sent photos while walking Barney telling me where and how long. Itwas very hot for him.Tetyana contacted me for permission to change his food as he was not eating well. I am very pleased with Tetyana’s service and would not hesitate to use her again. She brought back a happy we’ll looked after dog.
So glad we decided to join this fantastic site. This was our first use of it. And we really hit the jackpot booking Belén to look after our wee princess. Bonnie has had the best time staying with Belén, during our time away on holiday. The overall care she has received has been of the highest quality. 2nd to none. Communication was excellent. Listened to, and followed all of the written and verbal instructions we left to a T. And as such, all of Bonnie's specific wee quirky needs were met. And then some! We received regular updates, with great photos, and short videos of Bonnie being Bonnie. Not too many. Not too few. Just right. We could clearly see how content Bonnie was. Be it out for walks, playing, or just chilling around the house. There was a heat wave and Bonnie received all the appropriate care under what must have been very challenging conditions. Including keeping a close eye on her. Keeping her cool, providing and encouraging the regular intake of frequent cool water drinks, and also knowing when to go out, or stay indoors. All of which was relayed to us, knowing the heatwave was a worry to us. Bonnie has a few chronic health issues, which require close attention. She had to attend a VETs appointment during our absence, which involved Belén acting as her garduian. This was managed in a very professional manner, and as a result, Bonnie received the treatment she was due, and the appropriate after care was given. Again, all communicated to us in a clear and concise manner. Also This, along with Belén's lovely caring nature left us having a worry and guilt free holiday. We will have no hesitation in booking Belén again. I do feel it's very important to let everyone know how terrific her service has been. Credit where credit is due. Great value for the money we paid, which we appreciated. And this might be a strange thing to say, but I really do believe Belén charges way less than what she should. 10/10 rating.

Amelie kept my boy Rollo overnight, and was extremely accommodating as I had to drop him off pretty early on a Saturday morning. Rollo was well looked after and I could see from pics sent that he was having a great time, would absolutely book with Amelie again in the future 😊 x

Frank my big labradoodle had yet another fantastic stay with Eilidh and Danielle. They kept me updated throughout the week and they ensured he had some great adventures along the way would absolutely recommend 💯. I felt as though he had a great holiday too. Thanks guys

Thank you so much! Demi was amazing and so good with our Frenchie! She took such good care of him, giving him his medication and making sure he got plenty of walks; also keeping him nice and cool on the warm days! We were anxious about leaving him for the first time but Demi totally put our minds at ease and kept us updated throughout our holiday of how he was getting on with pictures and videos of his stay! 10 stars! Enzo will defo be back for his holidays again!

Highly recommend Vira. She was great with our cat and really responded to his needs while he stayed with her. We were sent regular updates e.g. photos, videos and messages about how our cat was doing and was very helpful with any questions we had before drop-off. I would definitely book Vira again if I needed a sitter in the future.

Elizabeth looked after our cat Beans, while we were on holiday. Beans is quite an anxious cat especially being in a new setting, but Elizabeth was really patient and we knew he was in great hands. We really appreciated the updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Elizabeth genuinely cared about making Beans feel comfortable and settled. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter 😊

Sophie was amazing with our dog from start to finish! We are always a bit anxious to leave him and Sophie made us feel so at ease, he just had the best time and got so many cuddles. The photos were fab he looked so relaxed and happy. Sophie is friendly, warm and professional and youcan tell she just loves animals! We wouldn’t hesitate to use Sophie again! Thank you so much x

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
