About: Hi, I'm João, based here in Glasgow. Dog walking is the main thing I do, and honestly it's my favourite part of the week.
 I like getting to know a dog first, how they are on the lead, how far they actually want to go, what they're funny about. Some dogs want a proper long walk, others are happy pottering about sniffing everything, and either is fine by me. I'm happy to walk wherever suits you best, whatever park or spot your dog already knows, and the lead stays on unless you tell me otherwise.

I also do drop-in visits and pet sitting. With drop-ins I don't just nip in and out food and fresh water, toilet break or litter, a bit of play and some company, and I'm happy to water plants or bring the post in while I'm there. For sitting, I stick as close as I can to their normal feeding times, walks and sleeping spots so the days feel like usual for them.

Cats as well, I've got one myself, Preto, so I know they decide how much attention they want, not me.

Either way you'll get a message and photos after every visit, and if anything seems a bit off I'll let you know there and then rather than leave you wondering.

About: I love being around animals. Had a cat growing up but always wanted a dog. Now that I am working remotely I was able to fulfil my dream and have a small poodle myself. I know how much time and care is needed to look after an animal. Dogs and cats alike. I am currently working remotely so I have plenty of opportunities to set my schedule around the needs of your best friend. I enjoy taking my lunch break outside and am happy to go for a walk. I live in an apartment. As I have a dog myself it is tidy and dog proof. I have a fenced in garden and Kelvingrove park is about two minutes away. There are plenty of walks close by to discover. I have had two cats and two dogs growing up, and have spent the last 16 years pet-sitting for neighbours and friends. Having moved away from home, I am absolutely missing having some pets around and so am more than happy to spoil yours! Having had both of my dogs since they were puppies, I have taken part in several puppy-training classes and even managed to get our spaniel to have some decent recall! As I am working from home, I can take pets out for bathroom breaks frequently throughout the day, and am available for ad-hoc calls. I live in a large ground-floor flat, a short walk to Victoria Park and so am happy to spend time throwing a ball around. About: I've been a dog parent for 8 years. I raised my Labrador from just 30 days old, walks, feeding, grooming, and nursing him through illness. When he became paralysed in his back legs, I cared for him through that too, learning patience and the kind of attentive, hands-on support dogs with mobility challenges need. He's with my parents now, and while I miss having a dog at home, that experience shaped how seriously I take care. I've also looked after other people's pets, including a Golden Retriever, along with walking and playtime for friends' and family's dogs over the years. About: I've had a small dog growing up and have been dogsitting for friends and neighbours for years, including stepping in at the last minute to help out. I have a special soft spot for the sensitive souls; I’ve found that even the most anxious dogs tend to warm up to me. Being Austrian, long walks are in my DNA! When we aren't out exploring, my flat is a place of total relaxation. I’m more than happy to share my space (and my sofa!) for snuggles. I partly work from home, and when I do, I’m there the entire day. This means your pup won't be lonely; they’ll have my company while I work, with plenty of breaks for play time, walkies, and snuggles. On my days off, I love taking even longer walks, so your dog will get all the exercise and fresh air they need. We have both been dog owners but current life doesn't allow us to have a doggo of our own full time, so we thrive on sitting and caring for others when we can. Martin works from home Monday to Friday, both of us are home at the weekend. Early mornings and late nights are all workable for us. Do contact for short time hourly rate/half day/evening. No transport available. Dogs are welcome in our home, pups included. We have an easy going and calm atmosphere. The flat is 3rd floor however we have secure garden access and green park space directly in front of the flat.
