I grew up having every pet you can imagine - dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, chickens, horses, fish, even a parrot - which is where my passion and devotion to animals has come from. But dogs have always held a special place in my heart, and have been one of the biggest (and best) parts of my life - since I was 9 years old. ㅤ We have had four family dogs now, and I spent my life growing up helping my mother to train them, and care for them - on a daily basis. Our 16 year old border terrier was my best friend in the entire world, I picked her when I was 9 years old, and she changed my life forever. Since I left home - so over the past ten years - I have taken regular care of four dogs via borrow my doggy, my cousins dog, friends dogs, my sisters dog, three of my colleagues dogs, my partners family dogs, and my own family dogs many many times. Ranging from day care, to weekend care, to two week holidays. I am incredibly confident and competent when it comes to doggy care, needs, and reading their body language. ㅤㅤ ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ ㅤ ㅤI have experience with the following: ㅤ 🐾 Raising puppies (our border terrier had a litter) 🐾 Training classes 🐾 Agility classes 🐾 Senior dogs 🐾 Reactive dogs (towards other dogs) 🐾 Rescue dogs ㅤ I only accept one dog at a time in my home (unless they come as a pair) - so that I can give your dog my full and undivided care & attention. Safety, trust & environment
I live by myself with no pets in a tidy, peaceful, top floor flat - with a spacious walled in garden out back, shared between a small number of residents. Fresh water will be topped up constantly, walks will always be on lead (unless you specify that off-lead is preferable) - and I will stick rigidly to your rules in terms of eating times, treats, and general care. You would also be very welcome to bring their favourite bed, or blanket, or toys - so that they feel more at home!

Lucy is an incredible dog sitter, I've been using this app for maybe 5 years now and she's definitely one of the best. She's so good with my dog, incredibly patient and really understands how important consistency is with training. She really takes to time to listen and understand all of the information I give her about him and sends loads of updates throughout the day. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Tia had THE best time with Lucy - and I massively appreciated the constant photos & updates! Tia is a rescue so can be nervous, but Lucy asked all the right questions, and was incredibly competent - which gave me so much confidence that Tia was in completely safe hands ☺️ I couldn’t recommend Lucy more to take care of your dog - Tia absolutely loved her!!
Lucy was exceptional!! I have left my dog with so many people over the years and never have I been more sure than my dog was well loved and living his best life!! So many updates, that I loved, and just had total confidence in her. Will absolutely be using her again! Sunny has just had the best day!!
Lucy and I lived together for years, during which time we became the very best of friends so I can absolutely vouch for her as the most kind and caring person I know! Lucy grew up with family dogs, who were her whole world. Her family still have dogs now and Lucy is always the first point of call when they need looked after. Lucy and I also looked after dogs together during the time we lived together via Borrow my Doggy, so I can comment first hand on the wonderful relationship she builds with dogs, whether she’s known them previously or they are new furry friends! I know that Lucy has also spent time looking after dogs for her colleagues - which proves how much she can be trusted with your precious companion. I recently got a puppy of my own and Lucy is top of my list whenever he needs looked after. She is so knowledgable when it comes to what a doggy needs, and I’d never doubt her ability to be a home away from home for my dog. Lucy loves the outdoors so will have no trouble keeping your pup occupied. Her home is also the cosiest place to be and would provide such a warm and comfortable environment for your pooch to spend time. In addition to all of this, Lucy is also just the best friend you could ask for and is unwaveringly supportive, hence why we’ve been inseparable since the day we met. This proves how much of a wonderful person she is with humans and dogs alike! I couldn’t recommend Lucy more as a safe, caring and kind person to trust with your precious doggy.
As someone who has grown up alongside Lucy, I have witnessed her pure love and adoration for every single dog she has owned or cared for. She is super active and loves taking the dog she is looking after for long, fun walks - and they are always so happy to be reunited with her. I regularly take my neighbours dog Flora to walk with Lucy, and Flora always drags me to the door to say hello and is so unbelievably excited to see her. I am hopefully getting my own dog soon and Lucy will be one of the very few people I trust to look after them.

Schedule
I am currently available for doggy day care (or just walks if you prefer) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the occasional Monday - and also weekday evening - available as well. Just drop me a message if it’s a weekday evening, and if I am free, I would absolutely love to have them!! ㅤㅤ ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─ ㅤ I work from home so I will be at my desk or on calls for the majority of the day, however they will always be in my company, and I will be taking them out to the garden for regular breaks / giving them constant tlc. Your dog will never be left on their own, whilst they are in my care. I am also a very active person, doing 10,000 steps a day minimum. I am always out walking before work, on my lunch breaks, and after work - so they will get loads of exercise. My home is an incredibly quiet and calm environment, with my absolute priority being keeping them safe, happy and comfortable - if that means lying on my bed or my sofa, nowhere is off limits, as long as they are allowed! ㅤ I will send constant updates (with photos) whilst they are with me, so that you have peace of mind knowing your baby is being properly cared for, is loved, and is safe. I truly treat them as if they are my own - and with as many cuddles as humanly possible! 💌 ㅤ ─ ⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆ ─

- I would always encourage a meet and greet first if possible - just so your dog feels that little bit more comfortable when they are left with me for the first time, and I can get to know their personality as well. If not then that is zero problem whatsoever! If you could just let me know as much information as possible in advance, that would be amazing, as that will help me provide the highest level of care for your particular dog - i.e. their routine with food, what commands they respond to, how they are on / off the lead, what they love, if there is anything that could trigger them such as other dogs, if there is anything I should be aware of generally speaking. ㅤ My goal is to keep them as safe and comfortable as humanly possible - so the more you can tell me, the better. 💛
