Both dogs had a lovely time with Koko, Yoyo and the kids. One almost didn’t want to come home and both were sleeping on the drive back home. Kept us up to date with all comings and goings and took great care of them Will definitely be coming back!

About: I've had both cats & dogs all throughout my life & I have plenty of experience looking after pets. I regularly look after family & friends pets & I love having a furry companion in the house. I live in a house with a large garden with lots of room to play, & I work from home so I have plenty of availability. I'm comfortable with large dogs and can accommodate any special requests or concerns you might have. Excited to meet your furry best friend! 🐈🐶 I work from home full-time self employed so I'd love a furry companion or two to keep me company! I'm available for day sits, nights & holidays and I'm able to accommodate for as many walks needed. I'd love to keep you updated regularly about how your pet is doing with pictures and texts ☺️ happy to listen to any requests or concerns you have.

About: I’ve was brought in a family that breed Jack russel terriers so I have always been around multiple dogs my entire lives . I had these as Pets Millie my Jack Russel lived to over 16 years she is now buried in my garden to keep her close .I currently own a 7 year Border Collie flow who is a wonderful dog so clever and obedient. I’m retired police officer so have lots of time to make sure your dog is well catered for with plenty of walks in different environments and love going to the rouken glen park for the glen walks that dogs love . I retired but still do couple days a week part time .This gives me loads of time to dedicate to your dog and take them really nice walks in the park and other green areas which are all close by . I live in newton mearns I have a fully enclosed garden and plenty of house space . I have completely road safe areas to the front of my home full of pedestrian paths that are great for dog walking .I also live close to many green areas which are really good and only 5 mins from rouken glen park were I love to the dogs a big walk in nature and play fun games with them .

Kwai and his lovely family looked after Bonnie so well. She's an older girl and has kidney problems so needs special care but they made sure she was completely comfortable. She had lovely walks on her doggie sitting afternoon. We were also sent regular happy photos to keep us in touch. Kwai's prices are really fair especially as it was a holiday weekend and short notice. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to have Bonnie booked with them again.

About: We are Lauren and Martin, a couple living in the Woodlands area of Glasgow. We have experience in dog sitting of all ages and mix of breeds. We have both been dog owners but current life doesn't allow us to have a doggo of our own full time, so we thrive on sitting and caring for others when we can. We believe that caring for a dog is good for the mind, body and soul. Dogs are the best! We would love to meet your pooch before agreeing any future care. Martin works from home Monday to Friday, both of us are home at the weekend. Early mornings and late nights are all workable for us. Do contact for short time hourly rate/half day/evening. No transport available. Dogs are welcome in our home, pups included. We have an easy going and calm atmosphere. The flat is 3rd floor however we have secure garden access and green park space directly in front of the flat.

Caragh and Callum were the best sitters for my rescue greyhound! They're both so lovely and take the best care of Dappy. They're trustworthy and it's clear how much effort and care they put into dogsitting. I have no reservations about re-booking with them and it's clear that they prioritise safety and comfort for my dog.

Cara was fantastic with Lumi our five month old GSD puppy 🐶💛. She had other dogs in the house but still gave everyone full attention and made sure he ate his meals and stayed on track with good behaviour. Her focus on preventing early bad habits is exactly what you want when trusting someone with a young German Shepherd puppy. She sent photos and updates throughout the day which kept us completely at ease and let us see how well he was settling in 📸🐾. She also chatted with us before and after the day which was really helpful. Lumi came home tired happy and clearly well looked after. Highly recommended for anyone needing caring and responsible doggy day care ✨.

Hi, it's Skye here, I wanted to leave a review instead of my daddy this week. I get so excited in the car when I know I'm on my way to see Ching and my besties Zima & Muffin. We have such fun all day long. I love my daddy very much but Ching, Zima, Muffin and Kevin have become my bestest friends 🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in North Ayrshire on Rover is £24.15 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 712 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in North Ayrshire. About 89% of North Ayrshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your North Ayrshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
