“We arranged a meet and greet before hand to make sure Blu and Apollo were ok together. They are now best friends ☺️ Blu honestly loves going to Regan and Summers house, I get photos and videos through the day, the training I am doing they continue while he’s there and honestly they are such lovely people who generally love what they are doing. Highly recommend 🙌🏽☺️”

“Absolutely fantastic! My new go-to :) my dog completely adores Carly and gets on super well with her dog too. She's very attentive and kind. Can't ask for anything more. My dog whines with excitement to go see her. One very happy client!”

About: Golden Family Dog Sitting Hey, guys, my name is Julie, and my partner Chris and I currently have three stunning Golden retriever babies who are our absolute world. I have been fostering for Irish Retriever Rescue for the last 3 years as well as doggy sitting for close friends and family. I made the decision to officially do what I love and that's looking after fur babies of all kind 🥰 full time. I offer boarding and when looking after your fur baby they will not be left alone throughout there stay and will have the adventures that they will just keep yapping about after you come and collect them🤭. We are looking to offer that home away from home experience for your pups holiday with us. Our three love to meet new friends and have playtime all the time. We have experience with all types of dogs from fostering and puppy sitting and our three themselves. We make sure that all dogs daily are comfortable providing them with 2 walks a day and a visit to our local dog field to get all the zoomies out. We will take instructions from yourself on feeding and treats, all dogs have free roam of the house and Garden, but again we like to make sure everyone is safe so always make sure that at least one of us is present with the dogs at all times. We like to always do an introduction with our dogs first before the holiday just to make sure everyone is introduced and there's no issues while doing this we always love to get more information and stories about your pup to make sure we provide the best experience when they come. In case of any emergencies or injuries we always have a pet first aid box on hand and our vets is only 10 minutes away if necessary but thankfully have never had any issues to require the vet. Also have experience with excitable dogs, nervous dogs and have small experience with resource guarding that was corrected by ourselves. Normal daily routine for ourselves is garden toilet time while breakfast is being prepared, once we full belly's and a little time to digest its times for our morning walk which is usually around 45 minutes to an hour, after returning from our morning walk it's fun time play time during the week I myself am at home with all dogs and make sure to have playtime with toys and out in our spacious garden which is fully fenced and secure. Around 5pm we proceed to have dinner time in which I make sure to feed all dogs and usually once Chris returns home at 6 we take all dogs out to the Run free dog fields for an hour we tend to fetch or if we are feeling energetic we like to run round with the dogs with a little game of tag lol once our time is up we normally try and settle down for the evening all dogs have the freedom of the house so where ever they feel comfortable they can choose to relax for the evening but we do make sure to have regular garden breaks until it is time for our night time walk which is normally around 10pm again for around 45 minutes. Once that is complete it's time for our beds we have a number of dog beds throughout the house and also dogs have the option to sleep where they are most comfortable. Weekends tend to be slightly different as we tend to go on adventures whether to the beach a first walk or hike to give the dogs a great adventure to enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to message me ☺️ I will doing this as my full time job offering all dogs in my care my 100% attention making sure all dogs are safe and given the best care possible I have a fully fenced garden which wrap rounds the house giving the dogs amble space to run and have when we are home. I have 2 friendly golden retrievers who are more than welcoming to all dogs and are experienced in dealing with many personalities with us fostering for the last 3 years. We make sure to always offer a safe environment for dogs and a home away from home giving them walks adventure and fun at our local dog field which is fully secure so everyone is able to burn off plenty of energy and run to there’s heart content. All dogs have free rain of the home and someone with them 24/7.
“Laura was absolutely fantastic with our dog, and made her (and us!) feel totally at ease. It is so clear that Laura truly loves & understands the personality of each dog she looks after. Laura kept us up to date with information about our dog, providing photos and a detailed report at the end of the day. Our dog had an absolutely fantastic walk whilst in Laura's care, and a great play with other dogs. Laura also went above and beyond to accommodate us after another carer cancelled on us last minute. We cannot recommend Laura and her lovely family enough to look after your dog, and we would certainly use her services again. You and your dog will leave feeling like you've met long lost friends.”

“Jennifer kindly took Gus for a few ours of daycare before his overnight. He had a great time and loves Jennifer’s garden! I received updates and pictures of Gus exploring on his walk in the country which was great. I would definitely recommend.”

“Used the day care service this time. Caroline and Finley make Alfie feel at home every time he is there. The photos showed he was settled and having fun. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have been a dedicated pet owner my entire life, which he sadly recently passed away, and have a deep love and understanding of animals. My personal experience includes caring for my own beloved dog for 15 years, during which I was responsible for all aspects of his well-being, including daily walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, and regular veterinary visits. This long-term commitment has provided me with practical, hands-on experience in managing a dog's routine and adapting care as they age. I am comfortable with dogs, for I had a Staffie and can provide compassionate, reliable, and attentive care tailored to your pet’s specific needs with lovely walks surrounded my place. Your pet will be well looked after and loved. I am a stay at home person and do things from home apart from on a Thursday I am out 10am-2pm, and on a Friday night I work 6pm-10pm. I am in a smoke free home, one level flat, ground floor with a large back garden that is fenced and many lovely nature walks surrounding me. It's a warm cosy home, and plenty room for cuddles.
“Absolutely incredible, Harlee loves staying over and beth herself is such a kind person! this is the second time harlee has stayed with beth and she is definitely in trust worthy hands, definitely won’t be the last time our dog will see her:)”

About: I have always owned dogs (Jack russels) however amongst all friends and family I am the dog whisperer And always the dog sitter. Whenever they go away. My daughter attends nursery every morning mom-Fri so at the moment I’m a stay at home mum. So this is a perfect solution. I can have 121 time with dog and big long walks before pick up. Any animal that comes into my home is treated as part of the family. No questions asked. The love we both have for dogs will soon calm the nerves. I consider your baby’s time with me to be their vacation as well, so I make it as fun as possible for both of us! I can’t wait to meet your fur baby!
“Natalie has treated our wee dog like he was her own. He is so terribly anxious, and Natalie totally understood this and based on the photos he clearly calmed and felt very comfortable and happy with her. Would absolutely definitely book Natalie again and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others. Thank you so much Natalie”

“Lisa took care of Charlie Brown at short notice and was lovely. Charlie seemed to love being there as the second day he walked up to the door joyfully knowing where he was going to. Pics and updates along the way. Fabulous to see Charlie content in Daycare with Lisa. Highly Recommended 5 *****”

About: I grew up with dogs from my grandparents collies to our family labradors and now my own cockapoo. Dogs bring me a lot of happiness and I love chilling out with my furry friends. I have over 20 years of experience looking after dogs and I understand the importance of making sure your dog is safe with someone else when they can’t be with you. I use Rover myself when I need someone to watch me dog and so would like to help others out too. I work full time where I am required to be in the office twice a week. Those days are flexible so I can usually work around requests for dog sitting. I have a decent sized house and garden for your dog to relax in and they will have company with me and my cockapoo. I live in a very quiet residential area with a fenced garden. Your dog will be on lead at all times when out on a walk with me.

About: Growing up on a farm started my lifelong love of animals! I’ve had dogs in the house since I can remember, and all sorts of animals ranging from cows to peacocks in the garden. As an adult, I’ve house-sat, and dog walked for the last 15 years, and I now live with my partner, daughter and dog in Helensburgh before hopefully returning to the countryside one day. My partner and I are available to dog walk, house-sit and (if your furry friend gets on with our own dog and animal loving 3 year old) board your pet in our home. We have a beautiful garden for playing in, and know some great walks both locally and further afield, to give your pup the very best experience while you’re away. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your lovely pets! Please get in touch if you have any questions or think my partner and I might be able to help! X My partner and I are self employed, so we are able to be flexible with your pet’s needs! Please get in touch if you have any specific questions or scheduling needs. We have a fenced garden, a friendly dog, and an animal loving 3 year old to give your pet all the love and attention they could possibly need. If they need a slightly slower pace, my partner or I can also look after your pet in your own home and their own space.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
