About: *Based in southside, Glasgow* Map location is currently incorrect. I have a 4-year-old formerly anxious dog, Lolly, and over the last four years I’ve spent a lot of time learning how to help her feel safe, comfortable, and confident. Through this experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of dog body language, positive reinforcement training, and how important it is to move at their pace. I know every dog is different, especially those who are nervous or sensitive, and I’m always happy to work with your dog’s individual needs and routines to help them feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible during their stay. I also hold a current dog first aid certificate. I have experience of dog sitting my friend’s sensitive pups and know how hard it is to find people to care for a sensitive dog (I’ve been there!) and want to offer support for my fellow sensitive dog guardian local community! I work from home, and am able to supervise your dog or provide for their needs throughout the day. I also live close by to some nice parks for walks if you are comfortable with this. I have a balcony with a pee patch for easy access for toilet breaks but there’s also green space around my building as well. My dog lolly is a very friendly, forgiving dog, who does not mind sharing toys, food or space but I will supervise and can separate if needed. But your pup will have some company and a play buddy if they are up for it! Pups are allowed on furniture, and I have many dog bed options so they can pick their spot. They will always have access to water and will always be on lead if I need to take them outside to use the toilet or on a walk. Happy to provide updates of your pup throughout the stay if this gives you peace of mind.

“Anna looked after Alfie for a night and a day at very short notice. It was her first time with him and everything went so well. All the arrangements and communication were quick, easy and efficient. When we dropped him off, he trotted away with her without a look over his shoulder and when we came back to pick him up, he was obviously happy and relaxed. Alfie is an easy and affectionate dog at home but can be a little difficult out and about as he’s usually reactive with other dogs he sees out on walks. Anna clearly managed him brilliantly and we’d be very happy for her to look after him again. She sent us lots of pictures and updates so we had no worries while we were away. Thanks Anna!”
“Milo stayed with Mairi and her dad for almost a week when my partner and I went to visit family in Germany. From the start the communication was quick and easy and Mairi was happy to arrange a wee meet up ahead of the stay so Milo can get to know them. Milo has medical requirements (regular meds, reduced walks, etc) and Mairi was very understanding and accommodating with these to ensure Milo had the best stay. We received regular updates showing how well Milo had settled in. Overall I would be more that happy for Milo to stay with Mairi and her dad again in the future!”

“We left Maxwell with Sara and her partner Calum for 5 days and we would highly recommend them to anyone. Max is epileptic and requires a little extra care than most dogs, which they handled with ease. We were kept updated constantly with pictures and videos, so we were never worried. You could tell they were a perfect fit for max. He is now curled up at the end of the bed, which is a very good sign. Don’t know who had a better holiday, us or young Max. “Honestly the most lovely young lady. My puppy is only 8 months old, and he can be quite anxious, I was really worried about leaving him. Julia suggested a meet and greet before I left him for a few days and this helped a lot. She sent me regular updates, pictures and videos. Sophie was amazing with our dog from start to finish! Everything from helping him settle quickly, sending frequent updates, taking care to make sure he was eating his food, to taking him lots of new and fun places for walks! We are always a bit anxious to leave him and Sophie made us feel so at ease, he just had the best time and got so many cuddles. The photos were fab he looked so relaxed and happy. Gracie was with Lisa for 10 nights while we visited family in the States and she clearly loved her time there! It was great peace of mind knowing that Gracie was happy and content and very well cared for in a lovely homely environment! Lisa sent regular updates and we could see that Gracie was enjoying her time there and not missing us at all! Holly was fantastic looking after Seymour and I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. She kept me updated regularly with messages and plenty of photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was great to see Seymour looking so happy and relaxed, especially in the photos of him enjoying his treat puzzles and getting lots of attention. It was clear he was being very well looked after and having a great time. I came home to a happy dog and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Holly again.

Gavin was really helpful and organised a pre sit meet up so he could get to know Ted a little bit and asked lots of questions to make sure he knew his routine which was really reassuring. He kept in touch while I was away with pictures and Ted was happy and relaxed when I got home. :)
There are no words for how incredible Celia and her partner Euan were with our boy Desmond. Celia and Euan were part of our wedding day, taking care of Desmond while our ceremony took place, then assisting us with getting photos, then taking him home with them for the evening. Nothing was too much of a hassle, they were so flexible, kind and generous with their time, making sure we and Desmond had everything we need and had the best wedding day possible. From the minute they arrived it was as if Desmond had known them forever, they treated him like their own and instantly clicked with him. They took all of our nervousness away and genuinely were such a lovely, calming presence throughout our wedding day. Celia and Euan sent SOOOO many photos and were brilliant communicators which brought us so much joy as we saw the incredible adventures they took him on, before snuggling up with him for the night. They also captured so many photos of Desmond throughout the wedding, which are so precious to us. There is nobody in this world I’d trust with Desmond more than Celia and Euan. And frankly nobody else Desmond would rather hang about with 😂 we’ve got real competition! I’m struggling to put into words how great they are, but it felt like we (and Desmond!) had known Celia and Euan a lifetime. Desmond can’t wait to stay at Auntie Celia and Uncle Euan’s house again.
Echo was very well looked after. Sophie paid a lot of attention to him, and Echo felt comfortable with her. It was clear when we picked him up that he had bonded with Sophie which made us feel reassured. We are so glad we have met Sophie and hope this is the first of many times.
