About: I used to have a dog (a goldie boy), look after my friend's and neighbour's dogs including rescure dogs before. I have been interested in dog training and have been educating myself am able to control dogs including teenage dogs in public and at home. I am able to run a dog every morning and evening for their good health. As a full-time professional, I’m available to care for dogs on weekends and bank holidays—perfect for those who need a trusted carer during their time away. Locations in the city center, West End, or anywhere easily accessible by subway suit me best. I ensure each dog gets the care and attention they deserve! I live in a rental flat where dogs are not permitted, so I’m unable to offer overnight care at my place. However, I’m more than happy to look after dogs during the day or take them for walks outside—it’s no problem at all!
“Highly recommend mark & Sandra. Matilda stayed 4 nights and mark kindly kept me posted of her stay. Even sharing a wee video. Lovely couple and I felt at ease leaving my wee frenchie. Thank you & I will certainly use them in future. Liz”

“Thanks for Krzysztof and his wife for looking after Grace, I've been receiving pictures and some videos on a daily basis. It was really reassuring knowing Grace is having lot of fun and that everything is going well!”

“Abby & Cory took great care of Lena again while I was away for a few days. She’s happy to see them again and comes home happy too so I’m really confident she’s well looked after. Thank you 😊”
“Can’t recommend Stephanie enough for how well she looked after my pup for a few nights. We met up before the stay and I felt really at ease knowing she was in such good hands! Stephanie sent me updates every day, and I could tell by the pictures just how much Lottie had settled! Can’t thank her enough and will definitely be booking Lottie to stay again! 🤍”

“Moira and Rhuraidh have taken amazing care of our little, sometimes anxious dachshund. He took some time to get used to the new environment, but they did everything in their power for him to relax and feel at home: playlng with specialized toys to relaxing dog music, everything was offered to our little one. And he did feel at home as we could see and feel from their daily update videos and photos! Also Nestor is very particular with his walks and how much exercise he can have and what he can eat and so on. Moira and Rhuraidh respected all these wishes and boundaries around his needs to the letter and he didn’t have any problems. They gave him his supplements diligently and took time to help him eat in the beginning when he was stressed due to the change in environment. Anxious dogs like having everything the same, all the time, so they need time to adapt. As said we really appreciated receiving regular updates about Nestor, pictures, videos and being asked for advice at every step. What can one want more than such a forthcoming dogsitter - they catered all his needs! We will definitely contact them again next time we go on a break. They are fantastic.”

“Milena took excellent care of my dog, Ore. Immediately on meeting Milena, I could observe that their love for dogs was genuine, and my dog was extremely excited to be welcomed so warmly! A lovely home your pet will feel welcome in with attentive care. Highly recommended I hope to book with Milena again.”

“Nicola was amazing. Felt completely comfortable leaving Rino from the minuet we dropped him off. The daily pictures and updates were great. Took him on a wee day out and he looked like he was having the best time. Would definitely recommend! Thanks again! ☺️”

“Lisa took such great care of my Labrador Percy for a weekend. She sent me lots of updates and photos and I knew he was in safe hands. Would not hesitate to book Lisa again in the future!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three cats and two dogs, so caring for pets has always been part of my everyday life. Now that I live on my own, I really miss having a furry companion around the house. Looking after your pet would genuinely make me happy! I have experience walking dogs, caring for both dogs and cats, and doing basic training. I understand that every pet has their own personality, and I’ll always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while they’re with me. I work part-time as a Personal Trainer at PureGym, and my schedule works really well for pet care. Most of the time, when I leave for work, my partner is just getting home, so your pet will rarely be left alone. There will always be someone around to give them plenty of attention, love, and care. At weekends, I’m usually home all day, which means I have lots of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and keeping your pet company. For dogs, I’m happy to go on walks every 2–4 hours, depending on their routine and needs. I live in a cosy one-bedroom flat with a private garden, giving pets a safe outdoor space to enjoy. We’re also just a two-minute walk from Kelvingrove Park, which is perfect for regular walks and playtime. I’ll always make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re staying with me. I’ll follow their usual routine as closely as possible and treat them like part of the family.
“Holly took an amazing care of my pup, Belle 🥰 she truly took care of her as if she was her own, and I’m so thankful for it! I will ask Holly again to watch Belle next time I have to leave her!”

“We decided to go on a last minute holiday, Stefan agreed to look after our dog Floppy and was very flexible with the dates. Floppy was very well looked after for the 5 nights. We also received regular updates. I would highly recommend Stefan to other dog owners who need Stefan’s boarding services.”

“Excellent care provided by Tracey and family. We have a small 4 month old pup and it was his first time away from ourselves overnight and he could not have enjoyed himself more! Kept us updated throughout the stay which kept our minds at ease, highly recommend!”

“First time using Rover and couldn't be any more pleased with Alice. We did the meet and greet beforehand then dropped Jock off for his short stay. Alice sent photos and updates showing he'd settled in and was happy. Would definitely use Alice's services again. She has a secure garden, 2m fence all around which was important for us too. Thank you Alice and Miguel from Jock and us ❤️”

“Cody was so excited to be dropped off with Mia and Molly for the first time, and quickly felt comfortable staying with them. They were patient with his quirks, helped him feel at ease and kept me updated throughout his stay. Mia was particularly calm and helpful when he had to go to the vet unexpectedly (Cody’s fault!) and kept in touch the whole time. They took him on long walks and made sure he was well looked after, especially in the hot weather. I’d thoroughly recommend them to take care of any dog and will happily use them again. Thanks both!”

“Ann kept us fully updated on how Tilda was getting on. She looked after our lovely Tilda so well even going to the extent of a shower and blow dry! Ann clearly loves dogs as comes through so much in the way she looked after Tilda. I have no hesitation in recommending Ann as a star sitter.”

“Took care of our dog at very short notice. He can be nervous in new places but she made he feel very welcome and he had a very fun day! She also sent a very cute video of him enjoying his stay!”

“Bex looked after our dog for 2 nights and treated like her like a Queen. She was so happy with her stay that she didn’t want to leave! She will be glad to come back next time for sure.”

“Alfie has just stayed with Sakshi for the first time for two nights while we went away. I’m quite sure he didn’t want to come home when I went to pick him up! He was a very happy dog and had clearly had a lovely calm and relaxing time with Sakshi and Ash. It was all a bit last minute (our fault!) and Sakshi was brilliant with communicating and organising. We went for a meet and greet visit which made us feel very confident about leaving Alfie with her. Sakshi kept up updated throughout and we’d be very happy to leave Alfie with her again. Highy recommended 😊”

I can’t thank Jade enough for taking care of my wee guy while I had a few days away. I would highly recommend Jade for boarding and personalising care to the needs of your dog. I was kept updated with photos and updates and it’s a comfort to know your dog had the care he needed. Jade is a natural with dogs and I will definitely rebook my dog for boarding again. Thank you so much

Roisin looked after our dog Mika for about 10 days and we couldn't be happier! She kept us updated with daily photos and videos, and Mika had the absolute best time hanging out with Roisin, her partner, and some other lovely dogs. Mika came home calm and relaxed, and very well looked after. We'll definitely reach out again in the future!

Sakshi has looked after Alfie twice now and we’ve got to say he’s a very happy dog when he’s round at her place! All of the communication and organising went like clockwork and we would always be happy for her to be looking after our - not the easiest dog in the world! - Patterdale Terrier. Super highly recommended 😊

Excellent experience with Caragh and Callum. They were friendly, reliable and kept me updated throughout, with great communication and regular updates. They were also very confident and kind with my dog, who is quite a big boy. It was clear he was in very capable hands and being really well looked after. I’d have no hesitation in booking with Caragh again and would happily recommend them to others.

We are so glad we found Maria to look after Asha. She loved her as soon as she met Asha and treated her like her own. Knowing how much she adored Asha made us feel immediately at ease and comfortable leaving our rescue with someone new. Maria’s communication was excellent, with lots of lovely updates and pictures to keep us informed when we were on holiday. Asha had the best time getting lots of cuddles, treats and brilliant walks. Our experience was so positive and I would highly recommend Maria to others looking for a dog sitter.

Ryan is our favorite dog sitter. He’s absolutely brilliant with our dog — incredibly kind, caring and reliable. We always feel completely at ease leaving our dog with him, knowing he’ll be very well looked after and given plenty of attention. Our dog absolutely adores Ryan and so happy to see him. We couldn’t recommend him more highly!

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitters than Demi and Luke for our two dachshund! From the very beginning, I felt completely reassured that they were in safe and caring hands. I received regular updates and lovely photos. It was obvious that extra time, care, and attention were given to both of my dogs, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Thank you so much for taking such good care of them. I would 💯 recommend and will definitely be booking again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Elizabeth is a great sitter. She looks after your dog like its her own. I have rebooked her a few times and know my dog will be well looked after and it puts my mind at ease and not worry that she is ok, because I know she will be. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth as a sitter.

Shivani was a fantastic sitter. She listened to my dogs needs and was very patient and understanding with him. He is a very anxious dog and settled in with Shivani and her partner very quickly. He looked very comfortable and happy in all photos and videos provided. I would definitely book Shivani again, thank you so much.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
