“Orla and Aine were fantastic sitters for Luna, I can tell that she had such a good time. We met for a meet and greet before her stay so they could get a quick introduction and they made sure to follow Luna’s routine as closely as possible to make her stay comfortable for her. They asked plenty of questions to get things right for Luna and took her to her favourite places for her walks. I would definitely book with them again and recommend to anyone looking for reliable dog sitters!”

“Dane and his wife were wonderful dog-sitters. We were nervous as it was the first time we had left our dog with anyone but they took such good care of him and their communication was excellent. Highly recommended!”

“Milena took excellent care of my dog, Ore. Immediately on meeting Milena, I could observe that their love for dogs was genuine, and my dog was extremely excited to be welcomed so warmly! A lovely home your pet will feel welcome in with attentive care. Highly recommended I hope to book with Milena again.”

“Really happy with the care my dogs received when staying with Kwai Wa N, they came back very content and happy. I was constantly updated with pictures and videos of my girls which was lovely to ease my nerves also. Totally recommend :)”

“Amy looked after our 8 month old Border Terrier recently and we had a fantastic experience with her. From start the finish, the communication was great and it totally put us at ease as this was the first time we left our pup with someone we didn’t know. She was amazing with our pup and it was so lovely to know that they were in good hands! We have already booked Amy again!”

“We left Maxwell with Sara and her partner Calum for 5 days and we would highly recommend them to anyone. Max is epileptic and requires a little extra care than most dogs, which they handled with ease. We were kept updated constantly with pictures and videos, so we were never worried. You could tell they were a perfect fit for max. He is now curled up at the end of the bed, which is a very good sign. Don’t know who had a better holiday, us or young Max. Thank you again to Sara and Calum”

“Anna was very friendly, competent, and cared well for our golden retriever. She knows how to be the leader of the pack, as our dog is happy to take the lead, if he's not put in his position! I will use her services again. She communicated by text very efficiently, and sent us regular updates of our wee dog. I would recommend you use her services!”

“Alfie has just stayed with Sakshi for the first time for two nights while we went away. I’m quite sure he didn’t want to come home when I went to pick him up! He was a very happy dog and had clearly had a lovely calm and relaxing time with Sakshi and Ash. It was all a bit last minute (our fault!) and Sakshi was brilliant with communicating and organising. We went for a meet and greet visit which made us feel very confident about leaving Alfie with her. Sakshi kept up updated throughout and we’d be very happy to leave Alfie with her again. Highy recommended 😊”

“Idioa kept me updated with daily updates and photos of Tilly which put my mind at ease whilst we were away. Tilly is nervous around others but completely took to Idoia and Nick and enjoyed all the fuss and attention they gave her in our abscence. We came home to very well looked after dog. Would highly recommend and will most certainly be booking again. Thank you 😊”

About: I grew up around dogs, my grandparents and family friends had dogs and I was often tasked with walking them growing up. Work and study commitments prevented me having my own, but I work from home now so am around during the day for constant supervision and regular play and toilet breaks. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I would of course contact you immediately and seek emergency vetinary services. Happy to discuss your pet-sitting needs, drop me a message. I would be happy to take more than one dog depending on the case. I work from home so am flexible for park walks and toilet duties. I am happy to work around the owners set schedule, if they for example get out for early morning walks I'm happy to maintain this routine I have a one-bedroom flat, so space is limited but I have more than enough room for small dogs or cats. I have bedding, treats, toys and am available all day to supervise
“From the first meet to the boarding was reassuring and professional. Would not hesitate in leaving my dog with Kiera again. Odin had everything he needed and more. regular photos and updates of you pets stay was also a nice touch.”

“Tilda has clearly had a fantastic time with Ioana! We were kept updated with many reports and photos of Tilda in different circumstances whether it be walks in the park, ball throwing or time with her friends. We were so reassured that Tilda was in great hands and was with someone who very clearly loves dogs and looking after them. We can’t recommend Ioana highly enough.”

“This was Princepessa and Zuzu's first time having a sleepover (well 2). They are rescues from Cyprus and have only been with me for four months and I needed them taken care of for a couple of nights during my house move. Although very anxious and challenging for the first few hours, Eilidh and Chris were very patient and supportive and eventually Princepessa and Zuzu calmed down and enjoyed the rest of their stay. It was clear to me when I picked them up, that they had received all the love and care they needed and, much as they were glad to see me, I think the would have been happy to stay a bit longer. Moving house is stressful at the best of times, but knowing my 'girls' were in safe and in caring, loving hands, helped enormously.”

“Suzi was very well looked after by Alice. She was a very happy wee dog when she came back to us . Alice was great - communication was fast and we knew Suzi was safe and happy. Couldn’t ask for a better service - thank you so much .”

“Violet had just come home from her overnight with Yaz..10/10 - sent updates and Violet had returned relaxed and happy..thanks so much! Highly recommend! (But not on the dates I need Yaz 😂)”

“Really interested in getting to know your dog’s routine to make their stay as relaxing as possible and sent plenty of photos. Also very flexible and helpful when my plans changed, I’ll definitely book again :)”

“First time leaving coco with anyone except family and I could not have picked someone better. Danielle was wonderful with him and very understanding, I will definitely be a return customer.”

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitters than Demi and Luke for our two dachshund! From the very beginning, I felt completely reassured that they were in safe and caring hands. I received regular updates and lovely photos. It was obvious that extra time, care, and attention were given to both of my dogs, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Thank you so much for taking such good care of them. I would 💯 recommend and will definitely be booking again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Gill had Coco for a week and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Gill was welcoming, professional and reliable. I had regular pictures of Coco which I had requested. I felt comfortable leaving Coco since I could see that Gill’s dog Grace was already well cared for and loved. I’m really grateful for the level of care that Coco received and hope to bring her back again soon!

Elizabeth is a great sitter. She looks after your dog like its her own. I have rebooked her a few times and know my dog will be well looked after and it puts my mind at ease and not worry that she is ok, because I know she will be. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth as a sitter.

Shivani was a fantastic sitter. She listened to my dogs needs and was very patient and understanding with him. He is a very anxious dog and settled in with Shivani and her partner very quickly. He looked very comfortable and happy in all photos and videos provided. I would definitely book Shivani again, thank you so much.

I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Belen to look after our baby Bramble. This was my first time using Rover so very wary. Belen sent me pics and videos every other day of Bramble on walks and playing at home alongside her own dog. I could see Bramble was very happy and was being cared by how happy and relaxed she looked. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Belén again in the future.

Alfie has just stayed with Sakshi for the first time for two nights while we went away. I’m quite sure he didn’t want to come home when I went to pick him up! He was a very happy dog and had clearly had a lovely calm and relaxing time with Sakshi and Ash. It was all a bit last minute (our fault!) and Sakshi was brilliant with communicating and organising. I was terrified about leaving my dog. In 4 years, he hadn't been with anyone other than myself and 2 trusted people from the family. Cathie and Daniel were understanding and kind from the get go, but they truly went above and beyond my expectations when it came to Frankie's care. They've now lifted a massive weight off my shoulders and, after nearly two years, I finally have someone that I trust to look after my boy and I can consider travelling again!

Couldn’t say enough positive things about Maria…such excellent communication, lots of photos of her spoiling dougie with lots of fun walks, games and plenty of love. Can tell he had the best holidays with her and I would recommend Maria to absolutely everyone. Thank you again Maria ❤️

Nune is the most fantastic dog sitter. She took amazing care of my 6 month old Maltese puppy, attended to all his needs with genuine care and love. Nunu is very professional in every aspect of pet sitting, including great communication throughout my puppy’s stay with her. My puppy was so happy with Nunu and her sweet doggy girl called Maki whom he also adored playing with. My puppy can’t wait to have the best holiday away with Nunu and Maki again! 💕

Darren and Julie were absolutely amazing with Rory! We booked in last minute to have Rory looked after while we were on holiday. Communication was fantastic. Loads of photos throughout the week showing Rory very much at home and enjoying himself. Even though it was a last minute booking they made sure to meet up first so they could get to know Rory and find out information about him. He very much loved his own wee holiday. We’d highly recommend Darren and Julie and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again! 🙂

Sophie was absolutely fantastic with Reo. I was apprehensive leaving him but Sophie made me feel at ease. She took reo to the beach which he loves & he looks like he had the most fun time with lots of photo updates which I appreciated immensely. I will be using Sophie’s service again soon. Thank you so much 💕 xx

When we met Holly for a meet and greet walk she asked all the right questions I would expect of someone taking on a new dog. This was very reassuring. Holly kept us fully updated throughout the stay along with photos showing Keeva having a ball. I would definitely use Holly again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog boarder.
We had a perfect experience with Roisin looking after our boy while we were away. She sent us daily updates with photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Ozzie is usually quite nervous with new people, but we could tell from the updates that he warmed to Roisin so quickly, which really says it all. It was clear from every update that he was happy, well cared for, and getting lots of love and attention. Knowing he was in such good hands meant we could fully relax and enjoy our holiday. We’d happily book with Roisin again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter. PS, I think Ozzie misses you already! xx THANK YOU xx

First time using Rover and couldn't be any more pleased with Alice. We did the meet and greet beforehand then dropped Jock off for his short stay. Alice sent photos and updates showing he'd settled in and was happy. Would definitely use Alice's services again. She has a secure garden, 2m fence all around which was important for us too. Thank you Alice and Miguel from Jock and us ❤️

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
