“Sophia was fantastic! Ziggy immediately felt relaxed when meeting her. She Stroked him while speaking to me. When she returned to collect Ziggy he was happy to see her and walked off with no problem. Was lovely chatting with the Sophia and I hope she can care for Ziggy again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of small and medium dogs in my neighborhood for a couple of years now. Love to take a long walk on parks and play with them. Also caring of cats and respecting their space I am a master student currently doing my dissertation! I have flexible hour schedule during week and weekend days! I would be happy to arrange pre-set meetings to get to know the owner and the pet! I work from home so I would make sure the dog will always have company. At the same time I like to take pictures of different moments of the day for the owner to feel comfortable! I believe that knowing basic information about the dog / cat is key. A chat with the owner can make the full caring experience better for all.
“My cat got ill with an upset tummy while I was away, and Sarah was quick to notice that she wasn’t behaving as usual, shared her concerns with me, offered to take her to the vet, and very kindly cleaned my carpet from cat sick. I then took her to the doctor when I came back and could easily share with the vet what occurred, etc. She’s now feeling better, and I really appreciated Sarah communication to keep me informed and empowered despite being abroad! Thank you again 🙏”

“Matthew drops in to see my two excitable Staffies every week. He is very good at dealing with their exuberant natures, and follows our instructions to the letter. He leaves very happy dogs on his way out.”

“Fantastic as always! From the photos and notes left on the Rover card, Daisy is so relaxed and happy, which gives me peace of mind while I’m out for the day, and is uncommon for Daisy who can be a little nervous with new people.”

About: I’ve had dogs all 23 years of my life till i moved to the Uk (with 3 dogs currently back home). Also, i usually do pet sitting, day cares and pet walks back in my home country on a different app, as seen in the reviews:) Additionally, i had been working in a pet clinic, full time for about 1.5 years and am currently studying Veterinary medicine at the University of edinburgh. So i would say that i am really well equipped with the appropriate knowledge to take care of your fur babies, large or small, while you are away! I’m currently studying at the university of edinburgh so my schedule would vary depending on the dates of stay. But typically during a weekday, 10am would be the earliest that i leave the house and am I'm back by latest 5pm. I’m mostly home during the weekends except for quick meetups with my friends over lunch or dinner! (Do text me to check, as my schedule is not fixed! And i always make sure that i am able to care for them before taking them in:)) I will take loads of pics and update you every alternate day or as frequently as you would like me to! I also live w a small garden just next to my flat for any quick trips to the loo and can bring them for a walk near the meadows which is just a 10min walk away.
About: Hi, my preferred name is Annie! I’m a second-year veterinary student at the University of Edinburgh. Through my studies, I’ve received dog and cat handling training and successfully completed all required animal handling assessments. I’ve also volunteered at kennels, catteries, animal shelters, and small animal clinics across the UK, Hong Kong, and Macau. In addition, I’ve been caring for my own pet for the past eight years in Macau. I’m very passionate about animal welfare and love spending time with animals. I’d be excited to use my knowledge and experience to provide safe, caring, and reliable support for your pets!! I’m currently a full-time student at the University of Edinburgh, but uni is finished for me until September now, so I’m mostly free. Feel free to contact me and we can definitely see what works! I will make sure to follow all the guidelines that you have given to me. I can take ur pets to go on walks around 3 times per day. The duration/ frequency of the walks can be adjusted due to their age and the owner’s preference. Feed and give treats according to how your pet is used to. I can easily crated your pet if you require too. I will make sure your pets not only receive exercise from the walk, but also play with them at home!
About: I’ve been walking and caring for dogs for ages. I’ve also worked at an animal rights charity since 2015 because animals have a huge place in my heart and I care deeply for their well-being. If I see a dog at a restaurant or venue who doesn’t have a water dish, I’ll always get them one. I have so much empathy for animals it hurts. With me, your dog will get long walks, lots of attention, and be well cared for and engaged. I take them with me everywhere they can come and make sure they get their own dedicated walks and sniffing time. At home, they get as many cuddles as they want - I always read their cues and follow their lead. I make sure they always have a full water dish, are fed on time, and I can give them medicine, if needed. If dogs like being pet, scratched, or massaged, that's what they get from me until my hands fall off. My flat has a nice size shared garden in the back that gets lots of sunlight, and it’s fenced in. I work from home 9 to 5 Monday to Friday so it’s flexible. I take them out 5 times a day starting at 7:30am and ending at 10pm. I have them settled for sleep by 10:30. In the evenings I go to the gym at 5:30 and am away for about 90 mins total, unless otherwise specified. I leave the music on for them, softly. Other than that I’m with the dog the whole time. I’m very close to lots of green spaces including St Marks park, Eyre st park, and some gorgeous trails. Aside from garden breaks, I do one to two big walks, depending if they pull or can go off lead. My flat has a fenced in garden so we visit frequently and I never have them go more than 4 hours without a potty break. I’m very happy to send you updates however frequently you like. I usually do one midday and another in the evening, but can tailor it depending on length of their stay and your preference.
About: I have owned a dog since I was 12 (a Cavachon called Teddy 🐶) and I often dogsit my brother’s one-year old Labrador, who I helped train from when she was a few months old. I am currently working on my dissertation for my Masters and work part-time at a cafe, so I have lots of free time to spend with your dog! I can do weekdays and weekends! I do not have any other pets in my flat and there is a large communal garden to play in! I will document feeding, exercise and any additional jobs such as administering medication, and will stick to your pet’s usual routine to make sure they are calm and happy!
“Claire is a wonderful cat sitter! Appreciated her willingness to visit to chat through plans beforehand - she was reassuringly warm with Prü 💛 Claire was really flexible about visit times and understanding when I made an error in my dates. I got daily photo/video updates and found Prü happy and relaxed when I got home. Perfect! Thank you ”

“Charlotte was great with Olive! Olive went on really long walks which was super helpful as she is a very high energy puppy, Charlotte was on time, communicated well and very willing to accomodate olive and her needs :)”

About: We’ve always had family dogs, and I also had my own dog for a couple of years. I have experience with foster dogs, and my friends often rely on me to take care of their pups when they travel to warmer places. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, giving them cuddles, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m currently working from home, so I can keep your dog company all day long and make sure they’re never alone if needed. I have plenty of time for hugs, games, and walks! I’m really flexible, and I believe a tired pup is a happy pup, so I love long adventures and play sessions! My partner and I live in a one-bedroom flat on Leith Walk, with plenty of parks nearby! We’ll both make sure your dog gets extra love while you’re away. I strictly follow owners’ rules when it comes to schedule and food, no treats unless you say so!
About: I have been a dedicated pet lover and caregiver since I was 10 years old. My journey began with my childhood neighbor's Corgi, Boots, and has included a special connection with dogs of all kinds, including my brother's wonderful three-legged Shih Tzu, Tati. I have also been the trusted sitter for many friends' dogs, including the energetic brothers George and Jonny. I also love cats and have had the pleasure of caring for my friend's cat, Kebab. I can't wait to give your pet the same love and attention I've given to all of my furry friends over the years. I am currently a full-time Master's student at the University of Edinburgh. I'm available to care for your pets at any time during the week besides 9-5 on Thursdays and Fridays, when I am in class. My goal is to provide a seamless and stress-free experience for both you and your pet by keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable. For dog walks, I focus on a safe and engaging experience, sticking to your preferred route and pace while providing plenty of attention. During drop-in visits, I make sure your pet gets outside, fresh food and water, and lots of playtime. For overnight stays, I am committed to maintaining your pet's schedule and providing constant companionship in the comfort of your home. You'll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands.

“Cats were happy and well looked after with Nicollette! She played with them, put on relaxing cat music for them and made sure all their needs were met. I would recommend Nicollette, you can definitely trust her with your pets. ”

About: Hello there ! I’ve been in love with dogs for as long as I can remember ! I grew up with dogs in my home my whole life! I regularly take care of friends and families dogs! I am in second year in university and have a pretty flexible schedule! I’m happy to visit or bring your dog for a walk whenever you need it! I will gladly send you pictures and video updates of your darling pet! I am also happy to play with them using their favourite toys and don’t mind spending extra time for a cuddle while I’m with them! I currently work part time on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-5:30pm. So I’m free after that! I have college Tuesday - Thursday during the day, but can work around times as it isn’t strictly 9-5! Evenings, early mornings I don’t mind! I live in a 3 story flat that is completely closed in if you need me to take my dog to my home. I am very aware of my surrounds always and the safety of your dearest pet will always be at the forefront of what I do. My sister is also a vet with many years of experience so she’ll only be a phone call away if needed.
About: I’ve grown up around animals and have always loved caring for them. I’ve looked after guinea pigs, cats for neighbours and friends, and lots of family dogs. With dogs, I’ve cared for both energetic pups who enjoy long walks and adventures, as well as older dogs who need shorter, gentler outings. Lately, I’ve been walking a border collie a few times a week, taking them to the park and the beach. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I’m self-employed and can choose my days, which means my schedule is very flexible. I’m free most days of the week and can adjust easily to your pet’s needs — whether that’s regular toilet breaks, feeding times, or long walks. I take care of pets by following the owner’s instructions for food, walks, and any meds. I give them attention and playtime, keep everything clean, and watch to make sure they’re happy and healthy. I also let the owner know how they’re doing.

Edinburgh dog owners share their Rover experiences
We had Daria visit our dogs in an Air bnb on our wedding day. Emotions were high and my mind was going a million times an hour (as can be expected on your wedding day!) but thankfully worrying about the dogs was not one of them thanks to Daria. I have never put my dog into kennels or ever used a sitter before, but rover was recommended to us by a family friend. Daria was amazing! She came to the house the day before to meet the dogs and go over their routine. We had great communication from Daria through out her visits and pictures which put my mind at ease and allowed me to really enjoy our day. Would highly recommend and would use again when we’re back in Edinburgh. Thank you Daria!! Emma x

Annie has been absolutely fantastic with our dog Jazz. Jazz is quite shy and anxious about new people, but Annie has been so patient and gentle with her, she’s really taken the time to build up trust with Jazz. Annie is always very responsive, and gives detailed updates about her visits. We’ll definitely trust Annie to look after Jazz again.

I can’t recommend Elizabeth enough. This was our first time using Rover, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Elizabeth was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about our dogs. She kept us updated throughout the visit, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. It made such a difference knowing our dog was in safe and caring hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind sitter.

Leah is just 5 stars, the best sitter you could ask for. She is so enthusiastic about our little pup Kea and treats her like her own. We get loads of thoughtful updates and photos, which completely puts our minds at ease, and it’s obvious how happy and well cared for Kea is with her. Leah is reliable, communicative, and genuinely loves what she does. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and feel incredibly lucky to have found her.

Sandra has been great with Rocky and I’ve always come home to a settled dog once Sandra has popped round and taken him out. Sandra sends on some great pics and is really communicative. Thanks again. Looking forward to R having his next adventures with her. Cheers, Philip

Kathryn and her housemate were lovely and very patient with my chihuahuas. We went for a walk so they could get to know my dogs and I could see how much they like animals. They took great care of my dogs and kept me posted. Thank you so much, girls! Sorry about the barking!

Sophia was fantastic! Ziggy immediately felt relaxed when meeting her. She Stroked him while speaking to me. When she returned to collect Ziggy he was happy to see her and walked off with no problem. Was lovely chatting with the Sophia and I hope she can care for Ziggy again in the future.
