About: I love dogs and understand that they mean everything to you! I will provide the care the need whilst walking them. I have taken care of friends and families dogs. Both feeding and walking pets. I love being around animals and would love to have the opportunity to spend more time with them. I currently work on weekdays until 4 but love to remain active after work and spend time with animals! I am also available weekends but this is subject to availability. I will not be dog sitting. However, I will treat your pet with respect and care making sure I provide them the attention they need!

This was our second time using Phoebe to cat sit for us. She always turns up on time, did everything we asked and gave our cats plenty of love and attention. Gave us peace of mind that they were well looked after while we were away. Would definitely book Phoebe again.

About: I have previous experience as a dog walker and cat sitter. I have grown up with multiple animals in the home and trained my family dog to pass his therapy dog exams last year. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to entertain your pets! I am also on a very flexible schedule so can adapt if your pets have any special requirements or if I am needed to be there for constant care. I have two cats in my own home so I am unable to house pets in my house as I don’t want to cause them or your own pet any undue stress!

About: I grew up with Dobermans and at one point we had three in the house. I love dogs and regularly look after my friends pets both sitting and walking. Had experience of dog training, both small and bigs breads, from a border terrier to a German shepherd. Happy to go on adventurous walks, or a walk round the block and open my home up for sitting too. I work full time but have every other Friday off and can work flexibly from home for 2 days a week. I am more available at weekends however can adjust my work from home days to sit around the weekend for longer sitting opportunities. Dog walking can be before work, after work or during a lunch time on a WFH day and weekends any time. I have no pets of my own just yet. I have a garden at my home, 3 bed house with plenty of space and space downstairs for dog beds, crates or whatever is required. I am super respectful and will always follow the dog owners wishes for caring for their dog.

About: Hi, I’m Amber! I have two small dogs of my own, and we absolutely adore having other dogs around. I’ve been caring for dogs professionally for over 8 years through my own dog-care business, so your dog will be in experienced and caring hands. I have experience with dogs of all ages and backgrounds, including puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs and dogs with behavioural needs. While I’m not a dog trainer, I’m experienced in managing different personalities and will always follow your instructions and routines to make sure your dog is comfortable and well cared for. I provide a home-from-home environment where dogs can enjoy plenty of attention, play and enrichment throughout the day. Walks, potty breaks, toys, supervised play and plenty of cuddles are all part of their stay. I also have a particular interest in dog nutrition and even enjoy baking homemade dog treats! I’m present in my home throughout the day, so dogs aren’t left alone for long periods. I also hold a Pet First Aid & CPR qualification and have a pet first-aid kit available. As I don’t drive, daycare is available for dogs who live within approximately 2 miles of my home in Gosforth, with owners providing drop-off and collection. Drop-off and collection is available 7am–6pm, Monday–Saturday. I want every dog who stays with me to feel safe, relaxed and genuinely at home. 🐶❤️ I work from home and provide dog care full-time, so I’m able to spend the day caring for the dogs staying with me. I’m present throughout the day and can provide regular toilet breaks, exercise, play, enrichment and attention. My daycare hours are Monday–Saturday, with drop-off and collection between 7am and 6:30pm Dogs staying with me have access to a secure, fenced back garden where they can safely play and explore, as well as a gated front garden with additional plastic-coated garden mesh. I also have two friendly small dogs of my own, so your dog can have company if they are comfortable around other dogs. I always consider each dog’s individual temperament and needs when supervising interactions. I have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and have looked after puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs and dogs with behavioural needs. I also hold a Pet First Aid & CPR qualification and keep a pet first-aid kit at home. As I work from home, I am present throughout the day rather than leaving dogs alone for long periods.

Natasha has been AMAZING while we were gone. She looked after our three cats, very nervous and anxious cats while we were away and I have zero complaints at all. She kept me updated the whole time with photos and messages, how they were settling, and I felt completely at ease knowing she was there with them. She went above and beyond, stayed longer some days to make sure my cats were fed and happy before she left which she definitely did not have to do at all but is a credit to her character. Will definitely come back again if we plan another trip away at some point! Thanks so much!!

About: I’m a veterinary student with hands-on experience caring for animals of different ages, sizes and temperaments. I have done a range of volunteering/placement at different shelters and organisations. I’m confident handling energetic dogs as well as older pets who may need extra patience and attention. Through my studies and personal experience, I understand animal behaviour, health and safety, and husbandry. I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, cared for and happy while their owners are away. I’m reliable, communicative and genuinely love spending time with animals. I am in my summer holidays of uni with few other commitments so have plenty of time to look after and play with your pets! I enjoy keeping dogs physically and mentally stimulated with games, enrichment activities and exploring local parks and new walking routes. I always adapt to each dog’s energy levels and routine so they feel comfortable and happy.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Alongside this, I’ve had experience with a variety of other pets including guinea pigs, lizards, hamsters, and rabbits. I’ve also completed voluntary veterinary work experience across two clinics, where I observed consultations, treatments, and even caesarean care and surgeries. In addition, I volunteered at an RDA horse riding school, which gave me hands-on experience with horses and further developed my understanding of different animal needs. Over the years, I’ve looked after many family pets and always treat every animal as if they were my own—with patience, gentleness, and genuine care. For house sitting, my boyfriend will also be present with me. As a young woman, it’s important to me that there is always someone at home, so between us there will always be at least one person with your pet. We both have extensive experience with animals— I currently have a dog and a cat, and he has a large dog—so we are confident, responsible, and very attentive to their needs. Together, we provide a calm, safe, and caring environment for any pet in our care. I am currently working on my own business which means I am very flexible with time, working from home. I would love to incorporate pet care into my daily routine. You can trust me in your home. I have backpacked various locations, and when I wanted a change from hostels I would often stay in air b and b's. This means I value people's homes and I am grateful for their trust. I am an organised and cleanly person, keeping your house clean.

About: I have always had dogs in my life. My family currently have 6 at home! I absolutely love walks and cuddles. I have experience with multiple different breeds, and I have a soft spot for spaniels, lagottos, terriers, doodles and labs. We’ve raised puppies before, as well as having multiple senior dogs throughout the years. I love taking dogs for long walks through forestry or along the beach! I have also had experience with a very ‘energetic’ Staffie 😉 and would like to get more experience with them. I work two jobs but have a fairly flexible schedule. I am mainly available to do walks/visits on evenings, but sometimes also have days off during the week, so it’s best just to message and we can figure out days/times. I have more flexibility in the next couple of weeks, as I am waiting to start a job in a school. I am more wanting to do walks/home visits however I can have dogs round at my flat. There are no other pets here, and we have a small backyard. However if your dog was staying with me then they would get plenty of walks, as I live minutes from Heaton Park!

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, looking after family and friends’ cats and dogs over the years. I’m a cat owner myself so I understand how important routine, patience and trust are for pets. I’m calm, attentive and genuinely love animals. I’m building my experience on Rover and will treat every pet in my care with real dedication I work a hybrid schedule, three days in the office and two days from home, which means I’m around during the day mid-week and fully available on weekends. Dogs in my care will never be left alone for long stretches, and weekend boarding gets my complete attention with no work commitments. I’ve had cats for five years and understand how much routine and calm matter to animals. In your home I treat the space with care and follow your pet’s existing schedule closely : feeding times, walks, any medication needs. I’m comfortable administering medication and handling pets that need a little extra attention. Your pet stays in a familiar environment with someone who genuinely loves animals, not just likes them.

About: Before coming to the UK, I was basically a mom of 7 dogs. Spending time with them is never tiring . Aren't they little angles ✨ I have flexibility since its summer and I have no school. Pet care just kinda slips into your day—like feeding your furry overlord when you wake up, going on poop patrol during walks, and brushing enough fur to make a second pet. Once a week, it’s spa day When I’m caring for pets—whether in my home or someone else’s—it’s all about creating a safe, cozy vibe they can trust. I pet-proof the space (no sneaky snacks or chewable cords!), stick to their routine so they feel secure, and shower them with affection

About: My love of animals has been a constant factor in my life for as long as I can remember. I have had the joy of raising 3 dogs of my own and caring for many more and I find very few things more fulfilling than gaining the trust and love of a pet whilst looking after it. I am able to be firm with pets, ensuring that rules are followed and that their behaviour is under control but in the same breath I am always gentle and make sure I am doing my best to care for them. I can be available throughout the day, and can offer as much time as you and your pets require for either walks, home visits or house sitting. I work part time so if looking after your pet for multiple days I may have to leave for a few hours a day. Typically walks will be between 30-45 minutes and I can offer up to 2 walks a day. Unfortunately I cannot offer to look after pets in my own home so any pet sitting will have to occur in your home, however I can provide constant supervision to any pets when I am petsitting. If during home visits you would like me to water plants or bring in mail etc. that will be no issue, and I can feed and administer oral medication for your pets if required. I would describe myself as attentive, reliable and caring and I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets, whether that be during a walk or while looking after them in a home setting. I work part time, usually between 10-5.30pm. I can typically provide my availability 2 weeks in advance and keep my calender up to date with any days I am not available. I do not offer care in my own home unfortunately, however for care in your home I will be very attentive to ensure that your pets are safe.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, not just something I “look after.” I currently have my chihuahua, Bean, and my cat, Tonks, and previously owned a golden retriever, Aston, so I’m very confident with different breeds, sizes and personalities. What makes me different is my hands-on experience with horses as well as pets. I spend much of my spare time at the yard, so I’m used to responsibility, routine, and understanding animal behaviour on a deeper level. I’m confident with everything from high-energy dogs that need proper exercise to more sensitive or nervous animals that need patience and calm handling. I genuinely enjoy long countryside walks, so your dog won’t just get a quick walk , they’ll get proper time, attention and enrichment. I treat every animal like my own, making sure they feel safe, relaxed and cared for while you’re away. Flexible uni schedule = happy pets! Whether it’s long countryside walks with dogs or snuggly chill time with cats, I give every animal the love, attention, and care they deserve. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. With years of experience with dogs, cats, and horses, including my own Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, and cat. I know how to give each animal the attention, playtime, and cuddles they need. You can relax knowing your furry friend is in caring, experienced hands!

About: Hi there! My name is João, I came from Brazil to do my PhD research a few months ago and, since then, has been working as pet sitting in Newcastle. I had to leave my two cats under my friend's care during the period I am here (sadly but also thankfully), so I sincerely can relate with the need of having someone responsable, trustful and experience to look after our littles. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats here, as well as of pets for family and friends in Brazil, including dogs, cats, hamsters and bunnies, which I consider positive experiences in developing a sense of how to provide assistance in different situations regarding sitter them. For me, aside from doing an extra money to support my period of study here, it will be a genuine pleasure to spend time with your pets and give them all the love I keep with me for my cats, and I will make sure to take care of your pets with the same attention I would like mine to be cared, ensuring they will be safe, respected and catered to all needs. As I have flexible times at university my schedule is always free. I am available all day every day of week so we can previously arrange the activities you need to be provided (including home visits, house sitting, walk in neighbourhood, take or pick from home to somewhere, or others). But as each pet has their own personality, before I can look after your pets I will need to know as much as possible about them, like routine, diet, any allergies, medicines, behaviour alone and with other animals, in and out of home, activities that they enjoy etc. If you feel that I can help you caring your pet please send me a message so we can chat about how I can help. I have flexible times at university so my schedule is always free. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
