About: would make an excellent dog walker because I’ve spent my entire life — 37 years — caring for dogs, cats, and a wide range of other animals. Growing up with pets has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, patience, and the importance of consistent, loving care. As a primary school teacher, I’m naturally responsible, trustworthy, and highly organised, with strong awareness of safety and routine. My experience working with children has strengthened my calm, positive approach — qualities that transfer perfectly to working with animals of all temperaments. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every dog feels happy, secure, and well-exercised ’m available for dog walks and pet visits at weekends and throughout school holidays. As a primary school teacher, this gives me extended availability during half terms, Christmas, Easter, and the summer holidays, allowing for flexible daytime bookings as well as regular weekend support. I’m happy to offer one-off visits or consistent scheduled walks during these times, providing reliable and caring support when owners may need it most. When caring for dogs on walks, their safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I ensure each walk is suited to the dog’s age, breed, and energy level, providing the right balance of exercise, stimulation, and routine. I’m attentive to their body language and surroundings at all times, keeping them safe, secure, and happy while out and about. During home visits, I make sure dogs feel comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I follow all owner instructions carefully — whether that includes feeding, refreshing water, administering basic care, playtime, or simply offering companionship and reassurance. Having cared for animals my entire life, I understand how important consistency and trust are, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.

About: Hello, we are Jane and Lee. While travelling the world we completed house sits around Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Dubai, France, Switzerland, Spain and England. Now we are back home we have been pet sitting in our local area. We love animals, so having the opportunity to see the world while having the company of a loving animal is a dream come true. We are slowly building up our portfolio and references so if you take a chance on us we will be sure you won't regret it. We have no ties, and are not on a time schedule so very flexible with dates. Our experience We are non smoking, polite couple who take care of the things around us. We love to clean and have things looking tidy and smelling nice. We have been trusted to use previous house sitters cars so I feel we are very responsible and trustworthy. Qualifications with Distinction: * Animal Healing and Technique * Dog Medication * Animal Care Level 3 * Dog Grooming * Canine Behaviour Course Level 4 * Feline Behaviour and Psychology Diploma * Exotic Animal Care * Pet First Aid and CPR Level 3 The daily routine we offer for your animals will be the same as what it receives from the owner. If there is anything specific the animal or owner requires we are happy to accommodate this. We try to keep the animals weekly routine similar to what the owner would do. We are flexible in our day so would spend most of it with the animals. Pet care is full time for us so we have no other commitments. When in the owners home we try to replicate the same routine for the dogs as the owner would. Dogs are not left for more than 4 hours.

About: Since childhood, I have always had a family dog, so being around and caring for dogs has been a big part of my life. I’ve been volunteering most weekends at Holly Hedge Dog Sanctuary, whenever my work schedule allows. During my time there, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of dogs, each with different personalities and needs. This experience has not only shown my love for animals but has also helped me develop a strong confidence in looking after dogs and understanding their behavior. It's something I really enjoy and feel passionate about. My work schedule changes each week, so feel free to send me a message! Your dog will always be my top priority, and I will make sure to find time to give them the attention they deserve. I’m currently living in military accommodation on Catterick Camp. While my living area isn’t very spacious, I can guarantee that your dog will receive plenty of attention and care. I’ll make sure to take them out for walks in a secure and safe environment where they can enjoy themselves. Your dog's well-being is important to me, and I want to ensure they have the exercise, love and attention they need.

I have had dogs all my life and experienced multiple dogs at the same time. We have looked after a range of different dogs from small to large. We stay in your home for the entire sit so your home is also secure and protected while you are away. Animals are not left for more than 4 hours a day and the rest of the day we are there to tend to the animals needs ie playtime, toilet breaks, feeding etc.

About: I have been a petsiitter, walker, companion for many years. I love all fur babies, recently looked after chickens too. I have a car, can work in York and surrounding areas. Will consider further afield but a minimum of one continous week. Always recommend a meetup before a booking for a cuppa and maybe a biscuit 😉 Recently retired. As i am an animal lover and experienced pet sitter for cats, dogs, chickens i can't think of a better way to spend my time. I cannot look after pets in my own home sadly. I can only offer pet sitting, Vet visits, Pop-ins for all fur babies, chickens, feeding, comforting, walking. Sadly I cannot look after reactive dogs because of past experience.
