About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with over 15 years of experience caring for dogs. I got my first dog when I was 11 years old and was actively involved in their daily care, including walks, feeding, playtime, training, and companionship. I currently have a 10-month-old puppy, so I'm very familiar with the energy, patience, and consistency that young dogs need. I also have experience pet sitting for friends, including overnight stays, daily walks, feeding routines, and providing plenty of attention while owners are away. I live in the city centre of Edinburgh, near the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links, making me a great option for both local owners and visitors. Whether you're heading away on holiday, exploring the city for the day, attending an event, or simply need some time for yourself, I'd be happy to care for your dog and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. I specialise in puppies and small to medium-sized dogs and have experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities, from shy and nervous dogs who need a calm approach to energetic pups who love plenty of exercise and play. I always aim to follow each owner's routine, preferences, and training methods as closely as possible to help dogs feel comfortable and secure while in my care. I'm comfortable administering basic medications when required and can adapt to your dog's individual needs. I know the local area well and have access to plenty of great walking routes and parks, providing lots of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and fun. My home is a safe, puppy-proofed environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I also understand how important it is for owners to stay connected while they're away, so I'm happy to provide regular photo and video updates for complete peace of mind. As I currently have full availability, I can be flexible with bookings and accommodate a wide range of schedules. My goal is to provide every dog with a home-away-from-home experience and care for them as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As I'm currently taking a break from work, I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the dogs in my care. My own 10-month-old puppy already keeps me active with regular walks, playtime, training, and enrichment activities throughout the day. This flexibility allows me to adapt to each dog's individual needs, whether that's multiple walks, maintaining a specific routine, providing companionship throughout the day, or accommodating early drop-offs and later pick-ups. I enjoy spending time with dogs and can ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care rather than being left alone for long periods. When caring for pets in my home, I aim to make them feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I provide a safe, dog-friendly environment where they can settle in, play, rest, and receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medication needs, house rules, and any training routines already in place. I understand that every dog is different, so I adapt my approach to suit their personality and needs, whether they're energetic and playful or prefer a calmer environment. Dogs in my care receive regular walks, playtime, mental stimulation, and lots of companionship. As I am home most of the time, they won't be left alone for extended periods and can enjoy consistent supervision and interaction. I also provide regular photo and video updates so owners can see how their pet is getting on and have peace of mind while they're away. My goal is to give every dog a safe, happy, home-away-from-home experience and care for them as if they were my own.

About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of dogs since I was a kid. I have had two Great Danes (LOVE large breeds) and most recently lived with three cats of my own. I’m the go-to ‘pet sitter’ for all of my friends and frequently will watch theirs for weeks at a time. I love making sure pets feel safe and at home with me, whether it’s cuddles or going on adventures! I work remotely, so generally can fit my routine around the pet! If they need cuddles or alone time I can organize accordingly. For pets who need lots of outdoor time, I can hang in my front garden (weather permitting) and I love going on long walks and runs, so they can come with me when appropriate. I have a fenced front garden, and with pets I give them the space or lack of space they want generally. At my home,I give them a place to establish comfort, and at your home I follow your guidelines to make sure they have a routine to keep things normalized (with lots of treats if allowed)
“Feng was great with Norman, he was very kind and gentle with him! And his own dog and three cats were lovely. It was clear that Feng and his wife are pet lovers, and I was kept up to date the entire duration of Norman’s stay! Thank you again Feng!!”

“Daria took amazing care of my cat, Juno. Juno seemed very happy when we got home. Daria was excellent at communicating with us both before, during, and after the cat sitting was over. I would not hesitate to recommend Daria or book them again.”

“10000% recommend Kathryn - the best Rover experience we've had! Really appreciated that she took the time to come and meet our wee cat in advance/see where everything is in our flat. She had such a kind and warm presence that I instantly felt at ease - and so did Luna! Her check-ins were super well documented with loads of pictures and a good note each time. It really put our minds at ease whilst we were away to see that our wee kitty was being so well looked after. She even collected our post for us and left a sweet note on the table. Really above and beyond in every way - defos book Kathryn, your pet will be in such safe hands!! ❤️”

“Freya made sure our cats were well cared for while we were away. Freya was reliable and always communicated with us. We felt comfortable knowing that our two cats were happy and looked after.”

“Amie is an incredible cat sitter and I would recommend her to anyone. We will certainly be booking her again when we go away! I have two kitties who she looked after for 5 days. They have very different personalities (one is overly friendly, the other is wary of strangers) and she catered her approach to both of them. They both ended up loving her! She asked all of the right questions and really seemed to care about them. During her visit she sent us lots of photos and videos of her providing enrichment time for them- including making them homemade treat puzzles out of cardboard etc! Her energy is very calming and it helped soothe a lot of my anxiety about leaving them. When we got back from our time away they were the most relaxed I'd seen after we'd been gone. Honestly can't recommend Amie enough!”

“Aimee looked after our cat Noah over Christmas very well. She responded quickly to communication and was really helpful. Would recommend her and will look to book her again sometime”

“Sarah took great care of my cat while I was traveling. She sent me comprehensive updates with lots of pictures every day, and even a few cute videos. My place was left very clean and tidy.”

“Amy was amazing with my cat, I'm glad we were able to use her again :)! She is very communicative and sends load of pictures and videos. I hope to have her watch our Kuba again in the future. ”

About: Hi! I'm a passionate cat lover with 3 years of cat-care experience. I've loved cats since childhood and have extensive experience caring for both resident and visiting cats. I lived with my flatmate's cat for two years and often looked after it independently for 1–2 months at a time when my flatmate was away. I've also hosted several cats for friends, with stays ranging from a few days to a month. I'm comfortable with feeding routines, litter box cleaning, administering basic care, playtime, and giving cats the patience and attention they need to feel at home.
About: I work full time caring for dogs. I really enjoy spending time with your dog, playing with them and looking after them whilst you are away. I have experience looking after a wide range of dogs and their needs. I have a very free and flexible schedule and I am willing to put a lot of time and effort into looking after your beloved pet. I have lots of flat space for your pet to play around and rest. I have no other distracting animals and no other people my full attention will be on your dog.

“It's evident how much Kirsten loves cats as soon as you meet her, she was able to name all the cats in my area - so it was easy to trust her on my first catinaflat experience. Made a big effort with my extremely shy cat Angel and kept in touch with updates even when he wasn't keen to come out and play. Thanks again 👍⭐️”

About: I am Giulia, I live with my partner and our corgi Mortimer in a flat in the heart of Edinburgh. We are close to The Meadow (if your buddies love to meet new friends), Holyrood Park (if they prefer a more peaceful and calm park) and to a small park just behind the flat, perfect for a wee walk. Mortimer is very friendly and always happy to spend time with new dog friends :) I have always had huge love for animals and especially dogs. Since I was younger I volunteered at my local shelter back in Italy, taking care of dogs and walk them. This experience has been very important to me, I had the chance to learn how to approach many dogs with different personalities, and also with no-longer-puppies with trust issues. It has been years since we started dog boarding and walking and it has been a great experience. We will do our best to provide a loving home for your furry best friends while you are away! We want to keep your dog's routine as much stable as we can, providing as much cuddles, exercise and play as he/she needs! :) I can't wait to know your furry fellas! I work full time but I have a flexible schedule and can work remotely if needed. I usually give my dog a long walk/play in the morning and after work, and a shorter one at lunch and before going to bed. My flat is close to The Meadow (if your buddies love to meet new friends), Holyrood Park (if they prefer a more peaceful and calm park) and to a small park just behind the flat, perfect for a wee walk.

“Feng went above and beyond to care for our cats! He brought them special treats on Christmas when he wasn't even scheduled to check on them! It felt so good to know our babies were in the hands of someone who truly cared and we will absolutely be going with Feng any time we need them watched!”

“Georgina was brilliant for one more time! I never worry about a single thing for my senior cat when I travel! Georgina is so caring, making sure my cat is happy and comfortable! And at the same time, she shares a lot of updates with me, pictures and videos of my cat! She is a rare gem!”

“Meredith was wonderful, our cat Ciri was well taken care off when we were away for a few days and I can tell from the photos provided she enjoyed Meredith's company a lot!”

“Amazing service, can’t express how much we appreciated everything that Jamie did. He kept us updated everyday with photos, and kept our boy very happy. Would absolutely recommend him and will 100% be booking again”

“Charlotte was great with Olive! Olive went on really long walks which was super helpful as she is a very high energy puppy, Charlotte was on time, communicated well and very willing to accomodate olive and her needs :)”

“Thanks so much again Siyi for looking after Kumo so well. He had a great time with the other dogs that Siyi was looking after and even went for a little journey into town. He came back to us a very happy and sleepy pup.”

“Really happy to have found Isabel. She couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating and Sherlock took to her immediately. We met beforehand to make sure everybody was comfortable, which is always helpful and makes the handover process easier. And when my train was delayed, meaning I was going to be late to pick up, Isabel was kind enough to agree to alternative arrangements. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Isabel.”

About: Hello, my name is Claire and I’ve cared for animals my whole life. Capable of looking after dogs, cats and other animals. As a child I was taught how to best provide care for our pets, cats and dogs. I would take responsibility for both and loved doing so. I’ve been consistently pet sitting for the last 3 years. I can work with young animals with lots of energy as well as older pets. I can administer medication and help with any additional needs. I have a 5 star rating on the Cat in a Flat app. I’m joining Rover as I would like to help care for dogs as well as cats. I have been a dog walker for neighbours over the last 5 years. I’ve just relocated to the Abbey Hill in Edinburgh and would love to build up a regular client base. I am out and about at Holyrood Park most days. All the best to you and your furry friends! Claire xx I work from home and I am self employed. My hours are flexible and can suit whatever you need. I’m open to overnights and can attend on short notice. I am very respectful and I like to give time for animals to get to know me, to see that they can trust me. Once your pet is at ease and happy with me I can offer as much love as they like. I also take care in the homes of others to ensure that things are left as I found them. I am clean and careful.
About: I looked after my family dogs and friends dogs too. I had lots of pets in the past because I love animals and I had a field. I work from home and have a lovely dog. I live by the meadows and take my dog for amazing walks. It is an opportunity to enjoy the company of best human friends in a pleasant atmosphere. Dogs who came here had the time of their lives. Friends suggested me I should be looking after dogs. I have a lovely dog. I work from home flexible hours so they are all day with me, right next to me getting cuddles and attention and exercise. I have a nice fenced garden, a cosy living room and kitchen. I live by the meadows in Edinburgh, dogs paradise. I only need to cross over to the most amazing park.

“Katherine is lovely. Our dog is very happy to spend time with her. He starts wagging his tail when he sees her. I know he is very well taken care of so I don’t worry when I am away. Katherine is very quick to respond to any questions I have and helpful with my bookings. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had animals in my life since I was very small, starting off with mice and a floofy hamster! I had my first dog aged 8 and was always around family animals (including ferrets that my uncle owned 🙂). This is the first time in my life where I don’t have any around due to my work commitments and I would really like to use my spare time to make new furry friends 🐶 I have experience with large and small dog breeds. I have owned a Rottweiler and Westie and looked after many chihuahuas! I have also cared for cats while my friends are on holiday, making sure they are well looked after. I currently work full time Monday to Thursday as a compressed week, with my days off being Friday to Sunday. This gives me plenty free time for pet care on these days and evenings. I live in a top floor one bedroom flat (no lift). I am happy to look after animals here if it is suitable for them. I have no other pets and no children.
“Kathryn was absolutely wonderful. She was kind enough to meet us before our first dog sitting experience so she could get to know our pup. She was responsive and so gentle with his dog anxiety. We are looking forward to using her again!”

“Lorenzo has taken great care of Mylo since he was just 6 or 7 months old and Mylo always goes to Lorenzo happily and comes home with a wagging tail! Lorenzo is very flexible with my work hours and sometimes last minute requests and changes and is great at keeping in touch woth lots of photos of Mylo playing happily with his own dogs. Would always recommend Lorenzo for your own dog care!”

“Laura helped me out with some last minute daycare and was very communicative and took great care of my dog. She also made the time to arrange a meet and greet in advance so that my dog would know who he was going to stay, with which I think really helped. Thanks Laura!”

“Sihang is an experienced dog owner who is conscientious and enthusiastic about looking after dogs and obviously enjoyed looking after my dog and sent messages and thoughts about Jago’s care throughout the day”

“I was initially skeptical about leaving Buster with someone I didn’t know, given his hyper personality. However, after returning from my trip, I found a much calmer dog. Bilquees did an outstanding job not only walking him but also caring for him. Her understanding of hyperactive and reactive dogs is impressive, and her nurturing nature was class!”

“Joanie was great with Fergus, he quickly warmed to her and it’s clear that she has plenty of experience with dogs. Also very good at communicating with us. I’d highly recommend.”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I had a cat from a young age, and my grandparents lived next door with dogs, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. With flexible working hours, I can easily fit around your pet’s routine — whether that’s long walks (which I genuinely love), playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I’d love to have a dog or cat of my own, but as I travel fairly often, pet sitting is the perfect balance. I’ve provided in-home care for both dogs and cats, including caring for my friends’ pets. I always make sure every pet feels safe, relaxed and loved, whether they prefer quiet companionship or lots of affection 🐾🍂 I work from home Monday to Friday, which allows me to easily adjust my schedule to suit your pet’s needs — whether that’s a midday walk, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I enjoy longer walks in the evenings and at weekends. With a flexible routine, I can make sure your pet always receives the care, attention, and companionship they need. My day usually starts with a coffee and a walk to Meadows Park, just next to my flat. I often head out for a shorter midday stroll, and after work I enjoy a longer walk to unwind. Throughout the day, there’s always time for play, cuddles, and keeping your pet company. I’m more than happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, even if it’s different from mine. I have plenty of experience with ball throwing, wand toys, and finding the right balance between play and rest to keep pets happy and relaxed.
“Feng was amazing with my chihuahuas. He would make sure they had food and water and a walk. He would always go out of his way to make sure they are ok. Feng is always my first choice ❤️ He is true animal lover ⭐️”

“Daniela was incredible! She was so flexible and she honestly just had a really good vibe! I was so nervous to give my dog to a stranger (first time puppy mum lol) but once I met her in person I wasn’t worried at all! Sunny had a great time and we would definitely book her again😊😊”

About: I've had my own dogs for 10 years—a Border Collie and a Pomeranian. They are very different in energy and personality, so I've learned a lot about dog behaviors and obtained many dog owner personalities such as being patient, caring, and supportive. Since I have two dogs living together, they sometimes get into arguments and little fights. That means I have real experience stepping in to calm things down, redirect them, and make sure each dogs do not feel left out and get along equally, safely, and have a good time. I'm a student without a heavy schedule and I live in a simple lifestyle. I have every Thursday–Sunday fully free, so it's a perfect time to take care of pets. Before living in UK, I also need to handle walks and care for my own dogs during my school time, so balancing pets in my daily routine is not a problem. I always prioritize safety and comfort for every pet. My own dog was bitten by other dogs in the past, so now whenever I walk my dogs, I have the habit of asking the owner about their dog's personality and behavior first in order to make sure it's a safe environment for everyone. When I'm looking after other people's pet, I'll definitely ask for their pet's habits and make sure everything goes smooth and safe. I live in Simpson Loan, where every building has their own fenced gardens, so it's a perfect place for toilet breaks. Also, I'm near to The Meadows where most dogs really loves to play at.
About: I have always loved animals. My experience with them includes having pets throughout my life, working as a teenager at a dog day care center, and working at an animal sanctuary in Texas with unusual pets, as well as 5+ years on Rover. In Edinburgh, I only work part time (with dogs!), so I will have plenty of time to care for your pet. My partner and I will be sure to give your animal all the attention they need — we both love the excuse to dote on a pet! Depending on our new friend's energy levels, both work part time so we will certainly take them out for as many long walks as they need, and will be able to follow their schedule. With or without a furry friend in our home, we both take long walks every day, so fitting a companion into our schedules is easy! I will always see & ask what a specific dog's needs are before working with them. I love fetch, tug of war, and wrestling with dogs who want to do so, but I am also happy to cuddle up on the couch next to a sleepy low energy dog. I've specifically worked for long periods of time with getting anxious dogs to open up to new people, so I know when to give a pet their space.
“Hamish took Goose for a great walk, he was communicative and easy to work with. He obviously knows and loves dogs and I totally trust him to take care of Goose and entertain him on his walk.”

“Jura had a fantastic time with Philippa, it’s clear he really trusted her & enjoyed her company. She helped us out really last minute and was so accommodating. We were sent lots of update videos and she gave him a good dry off after the very wet weather.”

About: My family have had dogs my entire life, all of which have been such special characters! My last dog was particularly special, having had her for 15+ years. Miss having the opportunity to look after her whenever I wish! I'd regularly look after her when my parents went away. Often I'd keep her for months at my flat as we both loved each others company. I'm very active and love going for walks so if you're dog is particularly energetic, we'll just have to go for a long walk, won't we! I'm currently a student so I'm available from Friday (12:30/13:00) right through the weekend to look after your dog(s). My partner (who I live with) loves dogs too and works from home during the week in case you need a little more flexibility around pick-up/drop-off timings; he's always happy to help out! Our flat does not have a garden and is two floors up. It's a spacious flat however and I'd take them out for walks regularly, depending on their needs. If your dog struggles with stairs and is not too large, I can pick them up as I used to do with my old dog who was a collie spaniel cross.
“Natalia has been very helpful, very communicative, and dealt with my fun but feisty Scottie dog. Special requests were accommodated and updates provided. I would recommend her to anybody!”

About: I’ve taken care of friends and family dogs and cats previously and have helped raise and train my flat mates puppy. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays so can be flexible (including weekends). I have a small ground floor flat but able to provide toilet breaks as much as needed and walks before and after work and at lunch time if needed! I currently work full time - Tuesdays and Fridays from home. 9-5 Monday to Friday and will be available on some weekends too! When I work from home i am able to provide toilet breaks whenever needed and time outside/ walks before and after work and also on my lunch hour! Can be flexible - I sometimes dog sit for friends when they are in the office. I have a secure ground floor flat next to a safe walk way. I am also next to a lot of green space and there are many routes away from main roads.
“Lisa has been walking my dog twice a week for a few weeks now and she's been great. She takes the time to make sure my dog feels comfortable and safe with her, and always provides insightful and reassuring updates. No complaints!”

“I always feel my dog is in great hands with Rebecca! I'm requested walks from Rebecca multiple times and each time she leaves very detailed notes and takes lots of great pictures. Will definitely continue to keep working with her!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and genuinely love having them around. My family have had a Labrador, a Vizsla and now a German Pointer, so I’m very comfortable with larger, energetic breeds. Although I no longer live at home, I still regularly help care for family and friends’ dogs. I currently look after a Cocker Spaniel two to three times a week and he often stays overnight with me. I’ve also had my family’s German Pointer stay at my flat when they visit Edinburgh, looked after a friend’s German Pointer many times, and cared for a friend’s Jack Russell on several occasions. I’m reliable, calm and happy to follow each dog’s usual routine so they feel settled and relaxed while you’re away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m available for dog boarding in my home, drop-in visits, and walks, and I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled, comfortable and cared for. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I live in a clean, dog-friendly flat where they’ll receive lots of love, attention and regular walks. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, medication (if needed), exercise and any house rules you have. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe hands. For drop-in visits, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own.

“Our dog Pablo had a great time with Nicole. From the moment we met, it was clear how caring and reliable she is with animals. I was kept up to date with regular updates and photos, and they had a lovely time walking and playing in the park and at home. Pablo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after. Will definitely be booking another stay soon!”

“Looked after our dog for a few nights and he seemed to have a great time, was very happy to arrive at Jessica’s door after being there before. Lots of photos and communication too, which was great for us to know he was happy while we were away”
