About: I began volunteering at animal shelters as a preteen and have been volunteering or fostering animals ever since. I love how a dog opens up with the right understanding and play regardless of their background. I have 15 years experience fostering rescue dogs, and am guilty of adopting a few myself! My specialty is dogs, but I am also experienced with cats and horses (thank goodness because I can hardly get my frenchies to not fall in love with every mare they see). I am a copywriter and work from home, spending the day playing with my two frenchies and working while they rest. If your dog(s) is sociable and enjoys playing then they’ll enjoy spending time with us. My own dogs are high energy so we’d split our time between the fenced in private garden and nap time on the couch. Dogs can be dropped off with me in the morning as early as 7, when they’ll spend the first few hours of the day with my dogs and I in the garden for some run around time before a mid-morning nap. Weather permitting, in the afternoon we’ll spend more time outside or play with sensory toys inside. My own dogs are high energy so the day is shaped by both physical and mental stimulation in order for all dogs spending time with me to have a healthy outlet for their energy. If your dog is a cuddle bug, they’re more than welcome to spend the day in my lap as I write and keep an eye on the high energy pups. My dogs put themselves to bed for the night around 7:30pm, but late drop offs are alright up until 11pm. If they’re spending the night or multiple nights, just let me know what their routine is so I can continue it during their stay with me. I’m well versed in dogs with separation anxiety and am happy to adjust to their needs during boarding. My garden is fully fenced in up to waist height, which suitably contains high energy small and medium sized dogs. If your dog is large and likes to jump we can set up a test to see if the fence height is safe for them. I have two French bulldog/Jack Russell mixes who are very social and love to play with other dogs. If you’re looking for a low key environment for your dog to socialize, you’ve found the right place. I have experience with senior dogs (my beloved chihuahua lived until he was 23), and would say if they’re happy to cuddle with me or play with my dogs they’ll be a good fit. If your dog is shy and would be overwhelmed by social dogs, I’d encourage a one pet-sitter for their comfort.

Before Bailey boarded we met up with Jessica who took detailed notes of all Baileys likes and dislikes which I found very reassuring. She kept us regularly informed with super photos of her stay, telling us about playtime in the lovely enclosed garden & taking her walks to all her familiar places. About: I had a family dog growing up, took care of stray dogs while living in Thailand, and shared a Springer spaniel for a couple of years. For 8 years, me and my husband lived with the wonderful, much loved Daisy, a reactive rescue staffie who needed a lot of love, attention and care. Daisy died in January 2023, and since then I've taken care of a friend's beautiful black lab for a couple of months. I did a Dog First Aid course with Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home in June 2023, and I offered dog boarding until the end of 2023. I was away in Australia this year - and took care of my sister's gorgeous Jack Russell cross Freddie. I'm now back in Edinburgh and ready to offer boarding to one dog at a time. I want owners to be able to relax and enjoy a holiday, knowing that their beloved pet is being cared for and lavished with attention, cuddles and love! Because Daisy was a reactive dog, and for her last few years, a senior dog, I'm confident to offer boarding to dogs who are reactive to other dogs, and to older dogs who might have additional needs. We live in a big upper Villa with an enclosed garden, so it's perfect place for dogs to relax and enjoy themselves. I work from home, so dog sitting fits in with my routine really well. Typically I work for an hour, then have a break. I love walking every day. I'm happy to get up early or stay up late if that's what your dog is used to - keeping their normal routine as much as possible. Your dog will be a bit stressed being away from you, so I want to do everything I can to help them relax and enjoy themselves. I live in a big place with a dog safe garden. Even though it's secure, I won't leave your dog alone in the garden, I'll always be there keeping an eye - or playing with them! I'm within 20 minutes walk of Blackford Hill, the Meadows and Holyrood Park, and there are a couple of quiet cemeteries nearby perfect for walks as well. I'm a short drive away from the beach and the hills, and I'll want to take your dog places they'll enjoy. I did the Dog First Aid course so I also feel confident about recognising when a dog needs extra help, and I'm a 5 minute drive away from an emergency vet hospital.

About: Pets have been part of my life since I was little. From dogs and cats to bunnies and rats, I’m comfortable with a range of different animals! I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since I was young, so while I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to looking after other people’s beloved pets. I offer dog boarding, day sitting, and walking. I live in a ground floor flat with access to a shared garden (used by other dogs too) and a little private front garden, perfect for toilet breaks throughout the day if they’re not used to other dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I build walks and outdoor time into my day and genuinely enjoy the excuse to get outside multiple times a day. About: My family have had dogs my entire life, all of which have been such special characters! My last dog was particularly special, having had her for 15+ years. Miss having the opportunity to look after her whenever I wish! I'd regularly look after her when my parents went away. Often I'd keep her for months at my flat as we both loved each others company. I'm very active and love going for walks so if you're dog is particularly energetic, we'll just have to go for a long walk, won't we! I'm currently a student so I'm available from Friday (12:30/13:00) right through the weekend to look after your dog(s). My partner (who I live with) loves dogs too and works from home during the week in case you need a little more flexibility around pick-up/drop-off timings; he's always happy to help out! Our flat does not have a garden and is two floors up. It's a spacious flat however and I'd take them out for walks regularly, depending on their needs. If your dog struggles with stairs and is not too large, I can pick them up as I used to do with my old dog who was a collie spaniel cross.

I am happy to discuss dog boarding and daycare with clients - I only take one dog at a time for these services and will generally keep them separated from my cat (super dog friendly) unless they have met before and are comfortable with each other, to reduce stress for your pup! Happy to discuss care of any other animals you have - I have sat chickens, rats, horses, rabbits, and more, and I have a marine tank with saltwater fish and corals at home so can also help out with this - as I know I find it hard to find someone to check my tank whilst I’m away! I have a highly flexible schedule. This means that I can provide near constant care and supervision for your pets. I don’t take multiple clients at once (unless from the same household), which allows me to focus 100% of my attention on your loved ones! 🐾 There are a number of measures I use to ensure the safety and comfort of your animals, and the trust between myself and my clients: 🐾 I am careful to follow owner’s instructions down to a tee, as I understand the importance of maintaining routine. Please don’t be embarrassed to hand me a sheet of instructions! 🐾 I do not offer treats of my own unless it is specified that this is okay by yourself. 🐾 I personally walk every dog on lead unless the owner is comfortable with their dog being off lead, and I am comfortable with the dog’s recall. 🐾 I will always provide you with regular updates on your pets care, and photos of our time together (sometimes too many!), as I understand how nerve-wracking it is to entrust someone else with the care of your pets. 🐾 I have knowledge on animal first aid and prioritise safety of your animals above all else. In the event of an emergency I will not hesitate to take your pet to their vet, so please provide me with their vet’s details.
About: My partner and I have great experience of looking after pets during house sitting as well as for family and friends. I grew up with a family dog, and my partner grew up on a farm in New Zealand with lots of animals including dogs of various sizes and cats - we are both very familiar with what is required to care for pets! I work in professional services and hybrid between home and office, my partner is in between roles so someone will always be here to look after your pet! About: I began volunteering at animal shelters as a preteen and have been volunteering or fostering animals ever since. I love how a dog opens up with the right understanding and play regardless of their background. I have 15 years experience fostering rescue dogs, and am guilty of adopting a few myself! My specialty is dogs, but I am also experienced with cats and horses (thank goodness because I can hardly get my frenchies to not fall in love with every mare they see). I am a copywriter and work from home, spending the day playing with my two frenchies and working while they rest. If your dog(s) is sociable and enjoys playing then they’ll enjoy spending time with us. My own dogs are high energy so we’d split our time between the fenced in private garden and nap time on the couch. Dogs can be dropped off with me in the morning as early as 7, when they’ll spend the first few hours of the day with my dogs and I in the garden for some run around time before a mid-morning nap. Weather permitting, in the afternoon we’ll spend more time outside or play with sensory toys inside. My own dogs are high energy so the day is shaped by both physical and mental stimulation in order for all dogs spending time with me to have a healthy outlet for their energy. If your dog is a cuddle bug, they’re more than welcome to spend the day in my lap as I write and keep an eye on the high energy pups. My dogs put themselves to bed for the night around 7:30pm, but late drop offs are alright up until 11pm. If they’re spending the night or multiple nights, just let me know what their routine is so I can continue it during their stay with me. I’m well versed in dogs with separation anxiety and am happy to adjust to their needs during boarding. My garden is fully fenced in up to waist height, which suitably contains high energy small and medium sized dogs. If your dog is large and likes to jump we can set up a test to see if the fence height is safe for them. I have two French bulldog/Jack Russell mixes who are very social and love to play with other dogs. If you’re looking for a low key environment for your dog to socialize, you’ve found the right place. I have experience with senior dogs (my beloved chihuahua lived until he was 23), and would say if they’re happy to cuddle with me or play with my dogs they’ll be a good fit. If your dog is shy and would be overwhelmed by social dogs, I’d encourage a one pet-sitter for their comfort.

“Kamal is very friendly and he was very considerate of Rocco from the start. He was also very understanding of Rocco’s separation anxiety and made sure to keep him entertained and exercised accordingly. We got loads of photos and videos during the day, which helped us to understand that Rocco was having a great time, and he was relaxed and happy when we picked him up. “Chloe looked after our springer Bailey for a few days. This was our first experience of home boarding and using Rover and it was a brilliant experience. Chloe and her family were so warm and friendly and Bailey settled in quickly. We received regular updates and photos of him having fun on amazing walks up Arthur Seat and in the meadows. “We honestly couldn’t have asked for better sitters for Bambi. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease, and throughout the whole week they were absolutely amazing. They have a Golden Retriever of a similar age, and the two of them got on so well. It was lovely knowing Bambi had such a sweet companion to play with all week. The level of care they gave Bambi was outstanding. She came home looking so clean, healthy, happy and clearly very well looked after. We have a smart collar that tracks her activity, and it was obvious from the number of steps and exercise she did that she had been on plenty of walks and had an amazing time. They genuinely put so much time and effort into keeping her active and entertained. We also received lots of photo updates, which we absolutely loved, and they always replied to our messages straight away. It made being away from Bambi so much easier because we always knew she was safe, happy and being cared for. You can genuinely see how much love, care and attention they put into every dog they look after. They treated Bambi like she was a part of their own family, and that means so much to us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. We’ll definitely be booking with them again in the future.
