Pet care experience

Life is too short not to LOVE A DOG!

Christine and Madison are a mother-daughter due that started pet sitting on a regular basis several years ago when our 2 beautiful Cavalier King Charles passed away after 14 years of being an important part of our family. Since moving to the UK I have kept with it, sitting other dogs is great for me and the pup alike! Every person thinks their dog is the BEST DOG- and they’re not wrong! I have pet sit for puppies that needed training is the early stages to ensure they learn good habits, as well as specializing in senior care. Not only do I enjoy caring for puppies, we understand the specific needs of older pets, providing gentle exercise, and offering extra comfort & attention. A calm & patient demeanor helps pets feel at ease. Whether it's playful energy for the young dogs or tender care for the seniors, I’m dedicated to providing the best possible experience for your furry family members. We have a flexible schedule and can be home most days, ensuring someone is home for your pet if required, on request in advance. Get the best of what pet sitting can offer by hiring me.

If we could give Christine 6 stars, we totally would! She was amazing with our dogs and her love for dogs is palpable. She is very thoughtful and respectful and though one of our boys is a bit shy and a bit unsure around new people, Christine was super patient and took her time to make him feel at ease. We came back to two very happy and well looked after boys and our house in pristine state. We cannot recommend Christine enough! Thank you xx

First time leaving my 5 month old puppy. Christine was happy to meet before hand and provided me with regular updates and messages about how she was getting on/how her day was going. Followed my usual schedule for her, she is very reliable and Rhudie was really settled and comfy around her. Would 100% reccomend and use Christine again.

This was our first time using rover and Christine was amazing! She met us before our two dogs were due to stay overnight and made us and them feel at ease. We got regular updates with pictures throughout the stay and collected two very happy pups at the end. Thank you!

Very happy with how Christine cared for Luna. I could tell straight away that Luna would be happy to stay. When we went to collect her she was very relaxed sitting on the sofa and playing with her ball. We will be booking again very soon.

Was nervous leaving our family dog as we never have before but we had numerous updates and photos. We felt reassured and our dog seemed to be treated kindly and lovingly. She had a great time! Thank you

My husband and I have had Christine watch our dog Bernie multiple times. There is no one we trust more with him. We are so thankful we have found someone that can care for our pup the way we would. We can not recommend Christine enough if your pet needs love and care when you can’t be there!

Schedule

Taking care of a pet requires a thoughtful balance of time, effort, and love. I am a PHd student with a lot of flexibility in my schedule. MORNING: I am available for morning walks to ensure your dog starts the day with the exercise they need- it’s a healthy start for us too! AFTERNOON: Throughout the day, short breaks are dedicated to playtime, engaging your pet with their favorite toys and activities to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. Socialization is another key aspect, so visits to the dog park or playdates with other pets are a common feature, fostering a sense of community and companionship for your pet. EARLY EVENING: Many owners worry about getting home on time to let their dog out, let us take care of that for you- so that when you do get home you can relax & enjoy your time with your pet. These activities not only cater to your pet's physical needs but also contribute significantly to their emotional well-being, creating a harmonious and fulfilling day for both you & your dog. WE DO NOT PROVIDE: Grooming & health checks.

Safety, trust & environment

For in-home pet care, it's essential to create a safe & comfortable environment for your pet. I pet-proof our home to eliminate any hazards. Ensure that all necessary supplies, such as food, water, toys, and bedding, are readily available. Follow a consistent feeding and exercise schedule to maintain their routine, and provide plenty of love and attention. If I am pet-sitting in a pet owner's home, communication is key. I begin with a detailed consultation to understand the pet's needs, preferences, and any special instructions. Make sure to adhere to the pet's usual schedule and habits as closely as possible. Keep the pet owner updated with regular messages or photos to reassure them that their beloved pet is in good hands. In both scenarios, I am observant of the pet's behavior and health. I look out for any signs of distress or illness and be prepared to seek veterinary care if needed. Remember, our goal is to make the pet feel loved, secure, and happy, whether they are in your home or ours.

Pets

A typical day

Dogs are never bored in my care. With your confirmation, I take them most places with me if I head out. I take them for long walks or a jog, let them run on the beach, play fetch in the park and introduce them to other furry friends when suitable. If the dog is comfortable with outings, we love bringing them with us to cafes and local restaurants. When we are home working the dog is also close by for love and attention.
