Dog lover looking for a dog
I have always had a dog in my family home for as long as I remember and have only grown to love animal since. I had a collie cross breed when I was a child, named Kess, who was my best friend. In my early teens we got an Alaskan Malamute, and my current family dog is a black Labrador named Angus. Sadly, he lives with my mum so I don't get to see him often. Hence, I am looking to fill that furry shaped hole :) I have taken my animal loving side into my academic career too - I have a masters degree in Animal Welfare (graduated in 2023) where I learnt a lot about animal needs, communication and what good welfare looks like. I understand the importance of high quality life - exercise, mental stimulation, diet, companionship, love and attention. These are things I hold to high importance and provide in my care for animals. I currently do some walking once a week for another dog and I am looking to expand my animal care. Unfortunately I’m not in a place to have a permanent pet so this is a great way to get the animal interactions that I miss but with less commitment. I live with my partner who is also comfortable and happy to be around dogs, but this will be my sole responsibility .

Morgan looked after Lola very well and was great when she got ill.
Morgan was great with Barley! He was so excited to see her and came home happy and tired from all the fun he had. Really communicative and kept us updated on how he was doing. Will definitely be arranging more stays with Morgan in future!
Morgan was absolutely fantastic. We left frankie with her for 10 days and received regular updates with messages and pictures . Frankie came home happy and very well cared for ..will definitely be using morgan in future ...

Schedule
I work for an environmental charity which includes working in the office once or more a week, and working from home the rest of the time. My schedule is very flexible and I take an hour lunch each day. This means I can shape my day to suit your dogs needs. I live right next to a river with plenty greenery around to nip down stairs for some fresh air, sniff and a toilet break. The river also provides lots of stimulation, smells and other local dog walkers - and a swim! I am also into my fitness, so getting out for a walk is a great selfish way to get my steps in :)

I always care for animals with love and patience. I always respect boundaries and read the animal as best as I can to make sure it always feels comfortable and that we have fun together. My animal welfare degree, experience with animals, and personal research into animal behaviour fuels this and my ability to work with the animal for us both to be happy, whether that providing space and independence or more affection and reassurance to the animal.
A typical day
I can offer a morning stroll, whether that is running playing fetch or a sniff for up to an hour in the mornings. I can offer regular toilet breaks which different areas by my flat to wander around for 5-10 minutes through the day. I also offer lunch time walks along a gorgeous shall calm river - to dip in, or simply enjoy the scenery.
