I currently work mostly from home, with a day in the office once every few weeks, meaning I am able to care for your pets on their schedule. I am available for dog walking throughout the day, and for boarding most days/nights provided we aren’t travelling.

Dogs: We have a fenced yard and are just a short walk away from a number of parks, ensuring plenty of options for your pet to get outdoors! I am able to crate dogs at our home if needed (owner must provide crate). Cats: while boarding with us cats will be kept indoors, but with plenty of windows to look out of, sunny spots to enjoy, and cat toys/enrichment available they will be well looked after! Boarding with me: I live with my husband, who is also an avid animal lover, in a pet free, child free home so you can be assured if your pet is staying with us they will be the only ones here - and will get as much attention and cuddles as they want!

Please let me know if there are any special requirements for your pet, such as dietary or medical requirements or any behaviours I should be aware of, to ensure I can take the best care of your fur baby as possible. I had a senior cat with many medical and behavioural requirements for the past 5 years, and have also had dogs with specific behavioural requirements and so am able to ensure any specific needs they have are met!
A typical day
I am a big believer in meeting your pets where they are in terms of what they want and need, whether that’s a calm day of snuggles and belly rubs or getting plenty of physical activity! We have a fenced in garden and are near multiple parks so dogs will get plenty of outdoor time, which can be as social as they would like. Cat owner? Your cat will stay inside while with us, and will have plenty of access to sunny spots, windows to people (and animal!) watch, and of course all the chin scratches they want. I ask that you provide any toys or treats your fur baby might want during their stay, to ensure I adhere to their dietary needs and make sure their toys are just used by them.

Pet care experience
Having grown up on a horse farm, I am used to being around all kinds of animals! I have years of experience looking after dogs of all sizes, as well as cats - from younger cats to more senior pets who may need a bit more care. Working mostly from home, my schedule is fairly flexible which means I can give your fur baby the attention they need - whether this means additional walks (or runs!) or someone to cuddle up to while they nap. Looking for a place to board your pets? We are a pet free home currently as our senior cat passed earlier this year, so if your pet is shy around other animals you can be assured they will be the only ones with us during their stay. I do live with my husband who is also an animal lover so your pets may get some cuddles or ear scratches from him, but I will be responsible for all pet care during their stay at our home.

Hugo enjoyed his stay and his separation anxiety was catered for. Lots of updates and photos were shared during the week which was great to see. We would definitely use the service again and recommend to others.
Mabel had a brilliant stay with Margaret and Fraser! I worry about leaving our sensitive rescue for any length of time, but I needn't have – I could see Mabel felt immediately at ease with them, and I was able to go on holiday safe in the knowledge she was being well looked after. Margaret sent me messages and photos throughout the booking, and I could see Mabel was having a great time! Thank you so much Margaret, I will most definitely be booking Mabel in with you again :)
Margaret was so welcoming, I felt confident leaving my dog with her. She was well looked after and Margaret got in touch every day to update me with pictures and messages of how Maya was doing. I would highly recommend her and her husband they treated Maya as there own, she wasn’t too fussed to seee on my return! Thank you Margaret for facilitating our family holiday x
My old spaniel had a wonderful time with Margaret and her husband, and came home relaxed happy and clearly loved! She was attentive to his old age needs, and walked him to suit the hot weather. I would highly recommend Margaret and would 100% have her care for Cooper again ❤️
