My husband and I recently moved into a spacious home, purposefully chosen to provide a safe, welcoming space for dogs. I currently work full-time remotely as a restaurant supervisor, just minutes from home. My husband also works from home and shares a strong understanding of dog care, offering additional support when needed. Creating my profile on Rover marks the beginning of a journey I’ve long prepared for—transitioning from hospitality to a full-time career in animal care. My ultimate goal is to open a professional dog grooming salon and boarding service, bringing together my qualifications, hands-on experience, and deep passion for dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

When dogs stay with me, I make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and never bored. I always do a quick safety check before a new dog arrives, wires are tucked away, nothing dangerous is within reach, and there are plenty of toys around to keep them busy and happy. Your fur babies will have access to our secure, fenced garden where they can play and explore, and there’s always someone at home keeping an eye on them. I treat every dog like part of the family and do everything I can to make them feel right at home.

Information Elpida "Hope" N. would like to know about your pet

It's really helpful to know a bit about your dog before they come to stay, so I can make sure they’re as comfortable and happy as possible. Things like up-to-date vaccinations are important for everyone’s safety, but it’s also great to know about your dog’s energy levels, any quirky habits—good or bad—and any health conditions they might have. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor their care, whether that’s giving them extra playtime, a quiet space to relax, or keeping an eye on something specific.

A typical day

A typical day with dogs boarding with me starts bright and early with a check-in to make sure everyone is happy and healthy, followed by a good run around the garden to stretch their legs and do their business. After that, it’s breakfast time and a bit of quiet time with lots of cuddles and relaxation. Once they've had a good rest, I let them out again and usually join in for some fun and playtime in the garden. I always try to take them out for at least one walk during the day to burn off some energy and keep things exciting. When we get back, they get a few tasty treats, some fun brain games to keep them sharp, and of course, more cuddles. Before dinner and again before bed, they go out for one last toilet break so they can settle in for a calm, comfy night.

Caring Stays for Happy Paws

Pet care experience

With an HND in Animal Care and over three years of hands-on experience with a wide range of animals including fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. I bring a well-rounded and deeply practical understanding of animal welfare. My training taught me the importance of hygiene, consistency, and attentive care. During my final year, I completed a placement as a dog and puppy care assistant at a family-run Labradoodle breeding programme. There, I gained valuable experience administering medications like worming treatments, assisting during veterinary procedures, and ensuring every dog’s health and happiness. I’ve learned that regular exercise, attention to detail, and consistent training are key to a dog’s well-being. This diverse background allows me to offer not just boarding, but tailored, compassionate care with a professional touch.

Hope and her husband once again took such great care of Nala, was kept up to date daily with updates and pictures. They treat her like one of the family and she loves going to stay with them and I always feel relaxed knowing she’s staying with them on this basis. Wouldn’t hesitate to leave Nala with them again x
