Sophia can care for
Availability
I am a university student about to start my final year of an integrated master’s degree. My schedule is flexible outside of lectures and study time, and I can plan my day around pet care. I am available for regular toilet breaks, walks, feeding, and attention throughout the day depending on the booking.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I stick to their usual routine, pay close attention to their individual needs, and make sure they’re never left in unsafe situations. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you know how they’re getting on.
Information Sophia P. would like to know about your pet
The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better. I'd love to know about their routine, personality, likes and dislikes, any training or behavioural quirks, medical needs, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. Having as much information as possible allows me to create the best environment for them and make their time in my care as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so my day is tailored to their individual needs, personality, and routine. I love spending time playing with them and giving them plenty of attention, whether that’s a game of fetch, lots of fuss, or just keeping them company. For higher-energy dogs, I enjoy long walks out in nature, exploring new places, and playing plenty of fetch. For older dogs or those who prefer a slower pace, we might go on shorter walks with plenty of breaks or visit a local café to relax and people-watch if they enjoy being out and about. If a dog enjoys mental stimulation, I’m happy to play enrichment games or work through training exercises that suit their age, ability, and any routines or goals you’d like me to continue while they’re in my care. For cats in my care, I love spending time playing with them, giving them plenty of fuss and attention, and making sure they feel comfortable and settled in their environment. Whether they’re playful and social or prefer their own space, I’ll always respect their personality and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Sophia, a 22-year-old student at the University of Glasgow! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have always had a strong love for animals. Our family dog was a German Shepherd cross, so I’m comfortable around larger breeds as well as smaller dogs. After he passed away, my family and I began dog sitting and caring for many dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Since moving to Glasgow for university, I’ve really missed having dogs around, so I decided to get back into dog sitting and dog walking. I’ve absolutely loved being able to spend more time with animals again and getting to know each pet’s unique personality. While I have plenty of experience with dogs, I’m also a huge cat lover and really enjoy spending time with cats of all ages and temperaments. I’ve even befriended many of the neighbourhood cats near me!

Reviews

Sophia was excellent. Our dog was happy and settled the whole time and when we got home. The house was all in order as Sophia is tidy and respectful. Will be booking again in the future :)

Amazing as always. Sophia did an amazing job looking after my wee kitten. She played tons with her and managed her to get her to have a daytime nap! She always sends such lovely photos and updates

Loads of great communication and played with willow to try and tire her out! Would recommend

Here’s a polished version of your review: Sophie was absolutely fantastic looking after our two dogs, Pixel and Lucy. She kept us updated every day with messages and lots of lovely photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. During the heatwave, she even brushed and washed Lucy to help soothe her itchy skin, which was such a thoughtful thing to do. Her communication was brilliant throughout our trip, and she handled an unexpected flooding issue during her stay calmly and professionally. Lucy isn’t the easiest dog and can be quite unfriendly with other dogs, but Sophie managed her so well and was incredibly patient and understanding. We couldn’t have asked for better care. Fabulous service from start to finish – we’ll definitely be booking with Sophie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!
