I work as a freelancer in media and I do editing from home, which means my schedule changes on a weekly/monthly basis, based on demand and work. However, even when/if working from home, I’ll only take on pet sitting responsibilities if I can assure to look after them properly and give them the time and love they need.

Pets coming over to stay with me (especially for the first time) will be given a special treatment to make sure they can settle in with as much ease as possible. I treat them as if they are on holiday, so their comfort, safety and wellbeing is of paramount importance for me. Unfortunately, I don’t have a garden, but the Shawlands neighbourhood offers plenty of exciting places to visit, and smells to smell.

With the fantastic weather we've been having recently, I would most definitely take your pup to a nearby park and let them explore all the new smells in the neighbourhood. I live within a walking distance of Queen’s park, Pollok Park and Auldhouse park, each offering a unique experience, terrain and set of smells to your pup. Maybe we can see how they feel about the Mighty Highland Cows? 🐄 Whenever we are not out and about though, I would make sure to shower them with love and affection. And scratches. Lots of scratches. ( Or space - if that’s what they need! )

Pet care experience
I have discovered my animal-whispering powers from an early age. I have a special bond with animals: I am no Disney princess, but they seem to like me in general…! Might have to do with the fact that they know I’m on their side (I am vegan, for the animals ✊🏻). I have been most of my friends go-to person to ask for helping with their pet needs over the last 5 years in Glasgow. Being an extremely compassionate individual, I will make sure to do everything in my power to provide the best time for your animal companion, and give them the care, love and attention they deserve and need.

Reviews

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Asia and cannot thank Mark enough for taking such good care of our dog Storm. We have never left her that long and we were nervous about it. She does not do well in kennels so we were eager to try keeping her in her own home with a sitter. Storm is a senior girl with some anxiety issues but Mark took the time to visit Storm and get to know her ahead of the booking. He is very patient, gentle and relaxed and we were very comfortable leaving her by the time we left on our trip. Mark was very thorough in learning all about Storm and getting to know her routine and needs. Nothing was too much trouble, Storm has a number of medications to be taken at different times of the day which Mark was more than happy to follow. He was willing to send us daily updates and photos but honestly, after the first few days we were so confident that our pup was happy that we didn’t need the daily update. Mark still checked in with us every few days which was lovely and reassuring. When we returned home, Storm was relaxed and happy which is a sure sign that she was well cared for since she had previously returned from kennels very upset and anxious. Mark and Storm have become firm friends and Storm is going to miss him. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Mark’s services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a gentle, caring and loving professional sitter.

Mark was amazing with the diva that is Miss Amber. Amber took to Mark from the first time they met, he really does have a wonderful way with dogs. Amber can be difficult, she is adept at pretending you don’t exist yet can be the biggest cuddle monster. Mark really took the time to get to know Amber and we have no hesitation in recommending this modern day Dr Dolittle. He’s trustworthy and reliable and treated our home with the utmost respect. Thank you Mark 🐾 🐾

Mark was great. It was a last minute booking and Mark happily helped out. Freya seemed to have enjoyed herself!

Mark looked after our 2 Labradors in our home when we were on holiday for 5 days. We arranged a visit in advance and Mark was very comfortable around them even when 1 dog was a little nervous and barky. We received regular updates and pics from Mark and the dogs were very spoiled. Mark was very respectful of our home and we came home to a very tidy house. Would 100% recommend Mark to take care of the fur babies, we saw on an outdoor camera their disappointment when he left!
