About: Growing up I was surrounded by all sorts of pets from dogs, cats, hamsters, and Guinea pigs, I’ve always been an animal lover. When I moved to London many years ago, I began looking after friends and neighbours dogs, cats and rabbits as I didn’t get to see my family pets often since I’ve moved away so I enjoyed helping out and looking after other peoples on Rover. I work in the television production industry, and my schedule can be very flexible with enough notice. I work Monday to Fridays, so available weekends and week nights. My office is animal friendly so that is always an option. I am reliable, trustworthy, well- organised, caring and I have a lot of experience on Rover. I have looked after a wide range of dogs and cats and have never had any issues. I always keep in touch with pet owners, and updates and will make sure I know the ins and outs of the care required before the booking begins.

For more than 40 years, caring for dogs has been a natural and important part of my life. From a young age, I was actively involved in raising, caring for and training our dogs. We even trained our dogs for various competitions and were fortunate to achieve numerous awards and medals over the years. My experience began from the very start of a dog's life. I have helped care for pregnant dogs, assisted with newborn puppies, and looked after dogs through every stage of life, from their first days to their senior years. The oldest dog I currently care for is 16 years old. Over the years, I have cared for dogs of many different breeds, sizes and personalities, from Chihuahuas and Pomeranians to large breeds such as Mastiffs and Pit Bulls. I also have experience with puppies, senior dogs, rescue dogs, and dogs who are anxious or require extra patience, reassurance and understanding. My experience extends beyond dogs as well. Throughout my life, I have cared for cats, birds, fish, rodents, reptiles, amphibians and other small pets. This has taught me that every animal is unique and that the best care comes from understanding each pet's individual personality, routine and needs. Safety is always our highest priority. I have many years of professional experience in disaster management and first aid, including working as an instructor. This has taught me to remain calm, observant and responsible in unexpected situations. My wife also has a clinical medical background and extensive experience in medical genetic testing. About: Hi, I’m Gillian. I’m a lifelong dog lover and have had dogs as part of my family since I was a young child. As a mum of two children and two much-loved dogs, I understand that every dog deserves to be treated with the same love, patience and care as our own. I work as a property investor, which means I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home. This allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship and exercise, whether your dog is staying with us, coming for daycare or joining me for a walk. I’ve taken the time to educate myself on positive, reward-based dog training methods and believe that calm, consistent handling helps dogs feel safe and secure. My aim is to provide a happy, relaxed environment where your dog can settle in, have fun and receive lots of love while you’re at work or away on holiday. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I promise to care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I have recently left a 9 to 5 job to focus on property investing and working for myself. This allows me to be at home more often although I do go out but only for a few hours at a time. We take our own dogs for a walk first thing in the morning, around lunchtime and before bedtime. If your dog was boarding with us they would follow the same routine. I can be available for pet visits and dog walking throughout the day either for short, local walks or can take them to the nearest park or open area for a long walk/run to suit. My dogs love the ball thrower so can keep them entertained for as long as needed! I have a fenced garden with lots of space to run around! I have 2 dogs of my own - cocker spaniel and a border collie and they love having friends to play with. For boarding I will take 1 dog at a time or 2 if from the same household. For day care I can take up to 3 dogs at a time. If needed I can keep dogs separate as I have a converted garage in the garden. I can administer medication if needed and provide any specific treats. I’m happy to send pictures and updates to you and can tailor walks and routines to suit your dog’s needs as appropriate.
