Animal lover with flexible schedule
These days my own schedule is busy, so I’m not looking to take on a full time dog of my own right now but I’d love to offer that same care to other people’s pets on a flexible, as needed basis. Whether it’s a drop in visit, a bit of company during the day, or an occasional overnight stay, I treat every animal like they’re my own: plenty of attention, patience, and a calm environment. I’m reliable, communicative (expect photo updates!), and happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s specific needs - feeding times, medication, walk routines, whatever keeps them settled. A few things worth mentioning: • Comfortable with dogs of most sizes and temperaments • Live in a flat with my partner - happy to host visits or provide updates from your home • Flexible availability that fits around occasional bookings rather than daily commitments Looking forward to meeting your furry friend!

Ailsa was wonderful! She sent plenty of updates over the weekend to ensure we knew our puppy was comfortable and adjusting well to his first boarding experience. He came home well exercised and rested. She has a caring touch! We’d definitely leave him with her again.
Ailsa is a fantastic dog sitter. She made me feel completely at ease, leaving my dogs with her. She kept me updated and to be honest - I think they preferred staying with her than with me! She managed to accommodate a last minute stay and one of my dogs has special medication which wasn’t too much trouble for her. If you are looking for someone who is reliable and communicative - i would recommend leaving your animals in her care.
Ailsa is very reliable and trustworthy, loves being with our dog, and is now our first choice for dog-sitting. She has a great easy going personality, and is a pleasure to interact with.
We have known Ailsa for many years and she has regularly minded our dog Freyja at her own home. Freyja loves going to visit and to stay over with Ailsa. Ailsa is great at communicating with us and sends us lots of photos. Most importantly, it’s clear that she loves dogs and really enjoys looking after them.

Schedule
I currently work in an office around 50% of the month, and my days are flexible rather than fixed, so I can often adjust my schedule around a pet’s needs. On my days off or lighter weeks, I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, and company. I’m also happy to plan bookings in advance around my known office days so there are no surprises.

I live in a flat with my partner, so pets get a calm, comfortable indoor environment with lots of attention rather than a big garden. I’ve had dogs of my own in the past, so I understand routines, feeding schedules, and how to keep animals settled in a new space. I’m attentive, patient, and happy to follow any specific instructions you give me.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I like to build the day around what they enjoy most. That usually means a good walk or two, plenty of playtime with toys or fetch, some cuddle time on the sofa, and if they’re up for it, a trip to the park to explore and sniff around. I always make sure they get plenty of attention and stick as close as possible to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and settled
