About: I have over four years of experience in animal care and I am currently studying HNC in Animal Care. I have grown up with dogs my entire life, caring for a range of breeds from small Chorkies to large American Mastiffs. I am confident in feeding, walking, administering medication and providing daily care tailored to each dog’s needs. Through my course, I have completed a dog training unit and I have also taken a private dog grooming course, giving me a good understanding of behaviour, handling and coat care. I am reliable, patient and focused on making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and well looked after. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine and I am available most days throughout the week. I currently attend college Wednesday to Friday, but I live very close and can return home during lunch breaks to check on pets if needed. I also have shorter days towards the end of the week, which gives me additional flexibility. Outside of college hours, I am fully available for walks, visits and pet sitting. I am committed to providing consistent, reliable care and can adapt my schedule to suit each pet’s needs. I live in a quiet one-bedroom flat with a calm environment that is well suited for pets. While I do not have a garden, I make sure dogs receive regular walks, exercise, and outdoor time to meet their needs. Inside, I have a spacious living area and hallway, and I can easily adjust the space to keep pets comfortable and safe. For cats staying in my home, I am happy to keep them indoors to ensure their safety. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always stick closely to their usual routine to help them feel settled and secure. For example, when cat sitting for my siblings, I made sure they were safely indoors by their usual time, followed their feeding schedule, and stayed with them until they were settled for the night. I am attentive, trustworthy, and always prioritise a pet’s safety, comfort, and routine, making sure they feel as relaxed as possible while in my care.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life. I’ve had big dogs, and puppy sat small dogs. I love animals, and always pay close attention to their boundaries. I’ve cared for foster dogs as well. My experience starts from 9 years old when I adopted my puppy. Ever since then I fed, bathed, and walked the dogs in my house. I am a university student so I don’t have classes until September. Except for planned vacations I am available because I don’t currently have a weekly routine. How I take care of your pet will be dependent on the needs and desires that you specify. If you want me to follow a strict schedule then I will. Guidance is preferred since I do not know your pet as well as you do I would like to know what is important for their care.
About: I've interacted with dogs all my life. I have always had a special connection with dogs. I have experience with dogs from weeks old all the way to the ripe old age of 16 years old. I have trained rescue dogs with aggression issues, including older dogs like Charlie, my departed Collie who I rescued when he was 10 years old. He went from aggressive on the lead to walking safely off the lead within 6 months. My primary occupation is as a live at home carer and I am.also a freelance journalist. I am incredibly flexible and have plenty free time. I live in the perfect place for dogs. I have a fenced garden and live 500 feet from Broughty Ferry's stunning waterfront which offers a variety of stunning walks to take pooch's on.
About: I've had several dogs continuously since my teens. Many of those have been mixed breed, rescues as well as Staffies, collies and spaniels. Most from puppy stage on to long happy lives. I am a healthy semi retired married lady and walk every day on the beach and around the various woodland trails nearby. Our daily circuits in all weathers are usually around 2.5 - 4.5 miles. I never see poor weather as an excuse, our dogs have warm dry outer clothing as I do. Currently I just have one baby left who is a fit and healthy cross spaniel/boxer. Lola is neutered and is happy with visitors. I have a fenced secure garden at the rear of our property with high and secure fencing. I live in a retirement complex where it is a requirement to be retired or semi retired. There are other dogs in most of the other homes on site. The home flooring is suited to accommodate muddy paws and the dogs have a warm and cosy bed space next to the radiators.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for most of my life. My family's Rhodesian Ridgeback sparked my love for large working breeds and introduced me to the world of dog showing and training. I’ve volunteered in a street dog sanctuary in Sri Lanka where I looked after disabled, senior and nervousdogs, gaining experience in safe handling and reading subtle dog body language. Because of that, I’m very tuned in to your dog’s needs, emotions and boundaries. I also hold a Dog First Aid certificate, understand dog nutrition (including raw feeding), and have two friendly, well-socialised spayed females at home - Lumi & Evie. Your dog will be looked after with the same level of safety, love and respect as my own. I aim to keep a clean, calm environment for all dogs in my care. Because of this, I ask that dogs are generally clean, house-trained, and up to date with flea/tick prevention. Please note, if there is no availability in the calendar, feel free to message me. I look forward to meeting you 😊 I am a freelance photographer, meaning I am super flexible and adaptable to your needs. In addition, my husband Mike works from home, so he can help if needed. I live in a safe, dog-friendly home with: ✔️ A fully fenced garden (separated area for play) ✔️ Two friendly, spayed resident dogs used to dog visitors ✔️ A huge park right next to us ✔️ The beach only 10 minutes away I’m home full-time, and my partner also works remotely, so your dog will never be left alone for long periods. Crates are welcome if your dog is trained or prefers a safe den :) 💛 A word of reassurance: I know that leaving your dog with someone new can be really hard - I've been there. But I can assure you I take a slow, thoughtful approach with every pupp that stays with me and always try to follow their usual routine. Meet & Greets are always welcome; I want both you and your doggy to feel completely comfortable before you commit to anything. In addition, you will receive daily updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and cared for as if they were my own.
“Amaris is a lovely person and our dogs liked her immediately. She sent updates and photos which we appreciated. There was a miscommunication about the food that was my fault but the dogs were happy being fed a bit more than usual! We would use Amaris again.”

About: I've been enjoying using another app for house sitting pets in the owners home, have looked after 35 pets so far mostly dogs and really enjoy getting to know each beautiful soul! I'm physically and mentally strong, able to manage more demanding behaviors and with gentle patience, charm the most nervous pets. I'm a freelance community project lead so I am flexible and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible. I love a walk to the park that backs on to my home or a bigger jaunt round to Victoria and Lochee park. I have a fenced in garden for zoomies and the park adjacent for longer stretches. We use the back door as our main door which offers additional safety as we can implement an 'airlock' system between the two internal doors 😅. Our neighborhood is a 20 zone and we live on a cul-de-sac. We have space for your crate if you would like to provide one for your dog's comfort.
About: I have taken care of my friend's Labrador cross rescue here and there for two years now. my responsibilities included dog walking, feeding, toilet runs, giving her medication, doing runs in the car, and showering her with love and attention. I am currently a full-time nursing student at UoD and have classes throughout the week but I am usually free Thursday to Monday. If I do have to go to a lecture it is usually no more than two hours. In my home with the cats we feed the cats 3 times a day and get let in for attention usually after breakfast and stay in the house (they are outside cats) until their next meal and then go out to eat in the garage while we eat in the house and when everyone is done they are let back in. When petsitting for my friend, we would usually go for 1-2 walks a day and spend most of our time playing in the back garden or driving around with her head out the window. At night we would sit and cuddle together while watching TV and then she would sleep in her bed overnight.
About: I have been taking care of dogs of my own or for neighbours and friends since a young age, which developed into a small clientele of dogs whom I would regularly care for throughout my university studies. I have experience caring for puppies (and can confidently assist or continue puppy training) all the way to elderly dogs and am happy administering medication (non-injection). I like to chat with the owners before taking on a pet sitting job to ensure I know exactly what kind of care you expect from me and, more importantly, how I can make the experience as enjoyable as possible for your furry friend. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Dundee so have full autonomy over my schedule and can be at home or take time off during weekday day times. I have availability over the weekends and evenings and can arrange my work to fit around longer sits if need be. I have an enclosed garden which will be useable by your pet only. I live very close to big open spaces so can take them for any length or duration of exercise they might require. I tend to ask owners the specifics of how they prefer me to care for their pet. For example, any feeding/toilet/sleeping schedules, sleeping arrangements and whether or not they should be allowed on furniture/on beds etc. In my opinion the environment I can provide for your pet is largely up to you.
“Sarah was an absolute delight and took wonderful care of our cats. She’s clearly dedicated, and her communication throughout was consistently clear and reassuring. While we were away, she sent pics and videos of our fur babies, which gave us real peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!”
About: Luxury dog boarding where your dog will be treated like a king / queen. Your dog will be the centre of attention being the only animal in the house. I’m a morning person and love to get up and out first thing. The beach is my favourite walk. I work from home and there’s usually always someone home. I have a fully enclosed back garden with grass, in a quiet street. I don’t currently have any pets, therefore your pet would be the centre of attention. It is a family home that I share with my husband and 2 teenager daughters. I can care for dogs who are happy in a family environment.
“If we could give Christine 6 stars, we totally would! She was amazing with our dogs and her love for dogs is palpable. She is very thoughtful and respectful and though one of our boys is a bit shy and a bit unsure around new people, Christine was super patient and took her time to make him feel at ease. We came back to two very happy and well looked after boys and our house in pristine state. We cannot recommend Christine enough! Thank you xx”

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Angus walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Angus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
