About: I currently study at Aberdeen university and I would like to devote my spare time to animals and pet owners that need a little help, I love animals, and helping around in general, and it would be great to interact with pets as currently I can't have my own. I only have 8 h lectures per week, so I available most of the times till December probably, when I leave for work to England. I live in HMO with a garden, so I may be able to house a pet, but with my landlady's agreement. Otherwise I work as a live-in carer too, for 10 years already and living and respecting someone's property is a norm form me, if you need a proof of that, please ask personally. About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, starting with my Jack Russell I’ve cared for since I was 5 years old. Being responsible for him from such a young age taught me how to properly care for, understand, and build a strong bond with dogs. Weekdays are when I’ll usually have the most free time, making them ideal for longer visits, walks, and quality time with your pet. I’m great at planning my routine to make sure any pet I’m caring for gets the time, attention, and consistency they need. I’m really looking forward to pet sitting over the summer—not just as work, but as something genuinely fun and fulfilling, where I can spend time with animals and make sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I always adapt my care to suit each pet’s usual routine, as I know consistency is key to keeping them happy and stress-free. In a pet owner’s home, I make sure to follow their normal schedule as closely as possible—whether that’s feeding times, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company—so they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I also keep the home tidy and respect it as if it were my own. For walks, I make sure dogs get the right level of exercise for their age, breed, energy levels, and what their owner has asked for while always keeping safety a priority. I’m attentive on walks, avoid unsafe situations, and make sure they’re secure and happy at all times. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, safe, and welcoming environment. I have a fenced garden for secure outdoor time, and my home is very relaxed—pets are welcome upstairs or downstairs, wherever they feel most comfortable. They’ll get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision, while still sticking to their usual routines as much as possible.

“Tyra stayed and house sat my two furry friends and they had a great time! Meg has daily ear drops and a supplement which we're no bother at all. Both dogs can be nervous with new people but fell in love with her so quickly and I got plenty of updates through the sit. Tyra is really responsive and attentive to the dog's needs also which was such a relief. I came back to a spotless house, 2 happy dogs and 2 sit reports to let me know exactly how each pup had been habit/feed/behaviour wise whilst away which was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely book Tyra again in future! :)”

About: Ever since I was little I have always had dogs and cats running around the house. I’m a big animal lover and love the outdoors I am currently qualified as a nursery practitioner, however I am taking a little break from this as I am going to college in September to study animal care and hopefully progress into veterinary nursing. As I am taking a break from working in a nursery, my schedule is fully flexible. I have a fully fenced and gated garden with lots of grass to play on and I can cater to anything your pet may need

It was our first experience with leaving him with anyone outside of family but we know he was well cared for and spoilt with lots of cuddles on the sofa from Lisa.We were kept updated and she sent us over some photos of Frankie relaxing in his usual spot on the sofa. About: Glen & Sarah have had pets, dogs and cats, all of their lives. Jethro & Judi (mini schnauzers) love having other dogs to stay over & regularly get neighbours dog over to stay. Sarah is a stay at home mum who walks the dogs during the day. Dogs get regular access to the fenced back garden to play. Fenced back garden. Drinking water always available. Plenty of company for dogs who come to stay, be it playing with Jethro & Judi or sitting up on the sofa with the humans.

About: We had our own lovely Cassie (a beautiful labradoodle) for 12 years. She was much loved and is much missed. Also lots of family pets in younger years. We decided not to replace her as our children live abroad and we want to travel unhindered. Hence me offering to look after other people’s beloved pets - the best of both worlds - a dog in the house when we are available and freedom the rest of the time! Lots of experience looking after other people’s dogs and always treat them with love and respect! Happily retired and my happy place is out in the local county side walking a dog! I can usually accommodate most pet schedules and happy to discuss requirements. Happy to board your dog who will have the run of our large downstairs. Each pet visiting has found the place they like best to sit, some admiring the view of Bennachie out our front window while others love the garden. Prefer a cage for sleeping but, if pet well behaved, can be flexible.

About: I previously worked as a kennel assistant at Lumphanan Pet Hotel, where I was left in charge of the kennels and took care of up to 20 dogs per day, this included walking, feeding, grooming, cuddling and playing with the dogs as well as administering medications. I am a true dog lover who would love to be able to help you out! I work offshore on a 2/2/2/4 rotation (so 2 weeks offshore, 2 weeks onshore, 2 weeks offshore, 4 weeks onshore). When I’m onshore I am completely free for dog care. If my calendar is booked out don’t hesitate to get in touch as my partner also loves dogs and is at home most weekends. I have a fenced, private garden with grass and live round the corner from Duthie Park, the River Dee, and the Deeside Way where I take myself for daily walks!

About: i’ve helped take care of family members dogs since i was able to stay on my own since 12 friends and family have relied on me to walk feed and bathe their pets and was very happy with my work dog sitting or anything would fit well during the day as i’m a new mum and looking for ways to channel my extra energy and fresh air always helps :) you can trust me with your dog my house is very secure the environment is very clean and safe heaps of friendly dogs around and being a new mum my house is always clean and sterile

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and spend lots of time with my parents’ two border terriers, Bobby and Bertie. I enjoy getting outdoors for regular walks and I’m calm, reliable, and happy to follow each dog’s routine. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means I can fit dog walks and visits easily into my day. I’m available for regular walks, check-ins, and occasional weekend help. When caring for dogs in an owner’s home, I always follow their routine and instructions carefully. I’m respectful of homes, keep dogs secure on walks, and prioritise safety, calm handling, and clear communication.

About: My family had a number of small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs and budgies) that I helped look after as I was growing up. As a teenager I also contributed to the care of our male boxer. For many years thereafter it wasn't possible to have any animals - I had moved abroad for university, spent time away on placement, started full-time work thereafter with life in rented accommodation which didn't allow pets. This change in 2020 when I lodged with a new landlady and her 2 adorable cocker spaniels. We became friends and when I visit I continue to take care of them when their owner is away; daytime and overnight. That includes walks on the beach or on a forest trail, where their favourite activity is to chase a tennis ball, followed by a swim. Once home, the boys make it clear that they would like food and ongoing attention in the form of belly rubs I'm very happy to oblige with. Following their owners suggestion I registered on borrowmydoggy in 2021 and met through this service a number of lovely dogs, mostly larger breeds (German Shepherd, Huskies, Malamute) but I've also started looking after a very confident and fast Chihuahua/Jack Russell lady who enjoys meeting new dogs on her park walks. My availability varies weekly. I prefer late morning and early afternoon sessions which give me a nice break from working at home on days that I can. I live in a top floor rented flat and have access to a small enclosed communal garden to the rear of the property. There is no lift so your pet needs to be able to climb stairs. Cats visit the garden frequently. I can take your pet to the beach or forest in my car.
