“Great with awkward pets. Henry (cat) warmed up to him pretty quickly. Will sit with cats for awhile and give them plenty of attention/pets. Keeps place tidy, and will stay in contact with plenty of photos. Happy to do a meet & greet beforehand. Would hire again .”

“Grace looked after our cat whilst we were on holiday. Grace was lovely and done an amazing job, keeping us updated and looking after Molly. Our cat is older now and hates going to the cattery so it was great to be able to keep her at home and know she was in reliable hands! Thank you so much Grace, we would definitely book you again. Thanks also for feeding the fish! Kirstin”
“We have started using Freya to visit our house and let our puppy out, feed and walk her during the day when we are at work. She is a really lovely girl, sends us daily updates, incredibly easy to get hold of and would absolutely trust her with any of my pets. We couldn’t recommend her enough.”

About: I’m a passionate animal lover with three dogs and two birds of my own. I’ve also helped care for puppies and kittens, giving me experience with animals at different stages of life. While I haven’t worked as a professional pet sitter before, I have experience helping family members care for their pets and understand the responsibility involved in looking after animals. During college, I studied Animal Care and veterinary terminology, which helped me develop knowledge of animal welfare, behaviour, handling, and basic animal health. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pets. I’ll make sure your pets receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship while you’re away, treating them as if they were my own. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the week and on weekends. I enjoy spending time with animals and have experience caring for my own pets as well as pets belonging to family members. I am happy to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship while following your pet's regular routine. While I am new to professional pet sitting, I have regularly cared for my own pets and helped look after family members' pets. I understand the importance of following feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special instructions. I am reliable, patient, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home while you are away
“Kristy was brilliant, cats were very well looked after and she went the extra mile, even switching the garden pond fountain on again after there had been a short power outage so they were oxygenated.”

About: Hi there! I’m Bianca, and animals have always been a central part of my life. I grew up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and I’m now the proud mum of Maya, our 10-year-old border collie—wise, sweet, friendly - forever puppy 🥰. My partner and I both work in tech sales from home, which means your pet will rarely be left alone and will enjoy a calm, loving environment throughout the day. Our home is your pet’s home away from home, complete with fresh water, comfy beds, and as many cuddles as they’ll accept. We understand how much your pet means to you, and we’ll treat them with the same care and affection we give our own. Whether they’re staying with us or just need a friendly visitor while you’re away, we’re here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and never lonely just as I will make sure my own dog have when I am away and it’s her time to be with a sitter. Here we are talking from Pawrent to Pawrent! Experience with dogs and cats - only. We’d love to hear more about your pet and their routine—feel free to send a message! We are new in this app, but not in the pet world. :) We will make sure your pet routine remains as close of their usual as possible! There’s plenty of green area for walk around our home, and parks close by. If your pet is crate trained, we are happy to keep their habits, if they are happy to be free around the flat, so it will be.

About: Hi! I’m Kirsty, welcome to my adventures for dogs, offering reliable, safe and enriching care for dogs across Aberdeenshire. I provide small-group or solo countryside adventure walks where dogs enjoy exercise, socialisation and basic training in safe, scenic environments. Every outing is structured, supervised, and tailored to each dog’s needs, with photo updates sent to owners for peace of mind. I also offer: • Drop-in visits & home checks (feeding, toilet breaks, companionship) • Home boarding in your dog’s own home to keep them comfortable in their routine I am fully insured, canine first-aid trained, DBS checked and experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Safety, trust, and genuine care are at the heart of everything I do. Whether your dog needs adventure, daytime care, or overnight support, I treat every dog like my own. Feel free to message me to arrange a free meet & greet. Your dog’s day will be structured, safe, and full of enrichment. For adventure walks, dogs are collected in the morning between 8:00–8:30am. We then travel to carefully selected countryside locations where they enjoy a mix of walking, exploring, supervised play, and basic training exercises. Full adventure sessions last around 5 hours in total, including travel time, with return and drop-off typically between 12:30–1:00pm. Mini adventures take place in the afternoon, with shorter 1-hour outings designed for younger dogs, older dogs, or those who prefer a gentler pace. Dogs receive the full 60 minute walking time. Allow 30 mins each side for collection and travel to location. Throughout the day, dogs are closely supervised at all times, given water, rest breaks, and plenty of positive interaction. You’ll also receive photo updates so you can see what your dog is getting up to. For drop-in visits, I attend your home at agreed times to feed, provide toilet breaks, offer companionship, and check on your dog’s wellbeing. For home boarding (in your home), I maintain your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, and comfort breaks, ensuring they feel secure in their familiar environment. My aim is always a calm, structured, and enjoyable experience that leaves dogs happy, stimulated, and settled when they return home. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my top priority at all times. I am fully insured and canine first aid trained, with experience handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. All adventure walks are carefully planned using safe, low-traffic countryside routes, with constant supervision and secure transport at all times. Dogs are always managed in small groups to ensure control, comfort, and positive socialisation. I take time to understand each dog’s personality, recall level, and needs so they are placed in suitable groups and environments. I use positive, calm handling methods and never place dogs in unsafe or overwhelming situations. Water, rest breaks, and comfort are provided throughout every outing. For drop-ins and home care, I respect your home fully and follow your instructions closely to maintain your dog’s normal routine and environment. I am also an insured and trusted key handler for peace of mind. Trust is essential — I provide regular updates and photos so you always know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.

“Emma was fab with Pippa. She can be a little timid with new people to begin with but Emma gave lots of cuddles and reassurance which was great. Emma took her out for a walk at the local park to let Pippa stretch her legs as well. We have Emma booked in for a weekend stay in December and have no doubts Pippa will be well looked after with lots of cuddles and playtime 😊”

About: I previously worked as a kennel assistant at Lumphanan Pet Hotel, where I was left in charge of the kennels and took care of up to 20 dogs per day, this included walking, feeding, grooming, cuddling and playing with the dogs as well as administering medications. Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Aberdeenshire pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aberdeenshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
