About: I have taken care of pets from an early age for friends, colleagues family. I work in kennels currently and have a love affair for all animals especially dogs! I would love the opportunity to look after all your animals and I always go above and beyond and treat them all like my extended family. Having had dogs in my family for as long as I can remember as a child, I knew as an adult it was natural to have a dog of my own. For almost all my life we have animals, dogs including boxer, staffy and small animals. Having had dogs in my family for as long as I can remember as a child, I knew as an adult it was natural to have a dog of my own. This is where my moose comes in! I work from home half the week and in kennels so I have plenty of time for doggy cuddles and attention. While this journey on Rover will fill the void I have for my spare time to be filled with some four legged company! I’m currently working part time in kennels and have plenty time to fill for all your home boarder pet needs. I’m free most weekends and evening and some days work wound you. I have a fenced garden, all enclosed and crates available for fur baby’s if needed. Im adaptable and always put care love and the needs of the pet first. Cuddles are for free and always on tap :)

Our dog, Storm was treated really well, getting lots of treats and toys, taken out for walks and given plenty attention. He was well taken care of, and we got plenty photos and videos, which kept us updated and we enjoyed seeing them. When our Storm was slightly sick, Ellie was really worried and contacted us immediately, and once we got photos of it, we could quickly reassure her that it was nothing to be worried about. And we were really grateful for Ellie’s care and attention for Storm. We would happily book her again.

Kayleigh and family looked after Rufus for 3 weeks in July. They took exceptionally good care of Rufus so we were very happy and will definitely use Kayleigh again. - Plenty of walks and excercise - Nice house and garden in a nice area, so we knew Rufus would be safe and secure - They have a small dog who was a good companion for Rufus - Socialising with other dogs, which was good for Rufus - Daily updates with lots of photos gave peace of mind

I cannot recommend Celeste highly enough. From the moment we first met, she was warm, friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. It was clear straight away how much she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she looks after. Daisy had a wonderful stay and was treated like one of the family, with plenty of walks, attention and affection. It was so reassuring to receive regular updates, along with photos and videos, which showed just how happy and settled Daisy was. Knowing that Daisy was in such caring and capable hands gave me complete peace of mind. I would not hesitate to leave Daisy with Celeste again and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy and dedicated dog sitter.

About: About Me 🐾 I have been surrounded by pets from a young age and have always been a huge animal lover. I now have my own Westie, who is incredibly friendly, sociable and mixes with lots of other dogs on a daily basis. He absolutely loves having doggie friends come to visit and is equally happy to have them stay for a sleepover! I understand how important it is to know your dog is somewhere safe, comfortable and genuinely cared for while you are away. I will treat every dog as if they were my own, with plenty of attention, affection, walks and, of course, cuddles. I am also Pet First Aid trained, giving you that extra reassurance that your four-legged family member is in safe and caring hands. 🐶❤️ I work from home two days a week, which means I have plenty of time to give your dog lots of company, attention and cuddles throughout the day. I’m also off at weekends, so there is lots of time for lovely walks and adventures. I’m very fortunate to live in an area with plenty of great places for dog walking, and with my own friendly Westie already part of the household, your dog will have a little companion to enjoy them with too. 🐾❤️ For this section, I’d make it reassuring and personal, while mentioning your Westie and your Pet First Aid training: My home is a safe, relaxed and dog-friendly environment where visiting dogs will be treated as part of the family. I have my own very friendly and sociable Westie who loves having doggie friends to visit and stay over. I will always follow an owner’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication and sleeping arrangements, so their dog feels comfortable and settled. Dogs will receive plenty of attention, lovely walks and cuddles, and as I am Pet First Aid trained, their safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. 🐾❤️

Glen and his family were fab! Daisy had the honor of being their first official Rover guest which she was happy about. We were struggling to find someone to look after Daisy and Glen was happy to help at short notice. He made us feel very comfortable about leaving Daisy with his family. We got daily pupdates and plenty of photos. Daisy went on lots of adventures with the family and she looked like she had the best time. She was one tired pup when we took her home, which is good for us :) we would highly recommend to other and will definitely be in touch in the future :) x

Daisy and her boyfriend took great care of our dog. She really went above and beyond for him and us. She worked hard to make him feel comfortable as he is a very anxious dog. She was also really accommodating for all his complex needs. He seemed really happy and well looked after when we got him home. Id highly recommend her as a dog sitter.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, always having two at home and regularly helping care for other families’ dogs. I’m comfortable with all types—from energetic puppies to older dogs who need a bit more patience. I have experience with walking, feeding, and basic training reinforcement, and I always aim to keep dogs calm, safe, and well looked after. I’m active and enjoy being outdoors, so I’m happy to match your dog’s energy level. I treat every dog like my own and will always follow your routines and care instructions closely. As a PhD student, I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time working from home, which allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, check-ins, and care. I’m already out walking multiple times a day, so I’m happy to include your dog in those walks and tailor activity to their needs. I can be flexible with timing and routines, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I always aim to provide a calm, safe, and consistent environment for every dog. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and any specific instructions, and I stick to those closely. On walks, I stay attentive and avoid unnecessary risks, keeping dogs on lead unless otherwise agreed. At home, I make sure they’re comfortable, supervised, and settled, with plenty of attention and care. I’m respectful of owners’ homes, keep things clean and secure, and provide updates so you know your dog is in good hands.

William looked after our border collie Alfie who can be quite timid. After a first meet and greet it was clear that he's an experienced dog handler who can read the body language of a dog and understands what they need. They've been out and about a lot for walks and playing fetch. When picking up Alfie, I've found a super relaxed and happy dog. Would highly recommend William, especially if your dog needs a confident handler.

Rebecca and her family were absolutely lovely with my 18 week old Trixie. Honestly she had the best time at their home. I got sent lots of photos and updates. They took her on a lovely walk in the woods which is nearby them and she also had plenty of cuddles from her lovely daughters. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to put my Trixie to Rebecca again. It was the first time I had left her overnight but the family put me at ease straight away. I’m sure Trixie can’t wait for more sleep overs.

Charlotte was amazing, very friendly pet sitter who easily and quickly engaged well with Agnes and helped to settle her more anxious behaviours. She has a lovely home and spent quality time with Agnes taking her long walks and generally going above and beyond the role. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Charlotte again and wanted to thank her for taking care of Agnes so well.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
