“I was a little anxious about leaving my 2 dachshunds with a sitter for the first time however Daisy (and Scott) are a lovely, friendly couple and they have such an obvious love of dogs. They came to the house and met my dogs and they all took to each other immediately!! She even invited me to go to her home where I was able to advise them on stairs and going out in the garden etc. Daisy asked questions about Henry and Bean's routines and quirks and listened intently when I explained their love of blankies and their various idiosyncrasies, as she wanted to make sure that she was giving them a home from home experience. It certainly put my mind at ease! Also, while I was away, she sent me lots of photos, videos and updates and also arranged for the doggos to go on a walk with a fellow dachshund! She was kind enough to collect them from my home (with a vast amount of their 'necessities') and dropped them back home when I got back too. Doggies are home very happy (and tired) and obviously have enjoyed their new adventure. I feel fortunate to have found Daisy and Scott and I feel confident leaving Henry and Bean with them in the future knowing that they will get the love, care and attention they have at home. She is a rescue dog who is very anxious and sometimes doesn’t take well to men but from the very start, Zhi was thoughtful and attentive, making sure Leia felt safe and comfortable and this showed because she took to him very well. We were so impressed by the number of updates we received—photos, little stories, and check-ins that really put our minds at ease as previous sitters we have used would only update us once a day and I never felt this was enough so the constant updates really meant the world to us. Having someone so reliable and caring meant we could truly relax knowing our pup was in the best hands. About: I've been brought up surrounded by dogs and cats and also have a doggo of my own. I adore all animals having owned rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, cats and dogs. I am the proud mum of my fur baby Buddy and have a keen interest in fish keeping. I am home Monday through Sunday and would love to help look after your fur babies too!! I am home and available throughout the day and would ensure your fur baby gets plenty of time for walkies, play, snuggles and potty breaks. Rebecca and her family were absolutely lovely with my 18 week old Trixie. Honestly she had the best time at their home. I got sent lots of photos and updates. They took her on a lovely walk in the woods which is nearby them and she also had plenty of cuddles from her lovely daughters. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to put my Trixie to Rebecca again. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
