“Great with awkward pets. Henry (cat) warmed up to him pretty quickly. Will sit with cats for awhile and give them plenty of attention/pets. Keeps place tidy, and will stay in contact with plenty of photos. Happy to do a meet & greet beforehand. Would hire again .”

“Grace looked after our cat whilst we were on holiday. Grace was lovely and done an amazing job, keeping us updated and looking after Molly. Our cat is older now and hates going to the cattery so it was great to be able to keep her at home and know she was in reliable hands! Thank you so much Grace, we would definitely book you again. Thanks also for feeding the fish! Kirstin”

I grew up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and I’m now the proud mum of Maya, our 10-year-old border collie—wise, sweet, friendly - forever puppy 🥰. My partner and I both work in tech sales from home, which means your pet will rarely be left alone and will enjoy a calm, loving environment throughout the day. Our home is your pet’s home away from home, complete with fresh water, comfy beds, and as many cuddles as they’ll accept. We understand how much your pet means to you, and we’ll treat them with the same care and affection we give our own. Here we are talking from Pawrent to Pawrent! Experience with dogs and cats - only. We’d love to hear more about your pet and their routine—feel free to send a message! About: I've been around animals all my life including 2 dogs and their long list of K9 friends! I also had a tortoise 🐢 who in the end needed additional care in the form or tube feeding. I work sociable hours as a chef in a nursery so my working hours are totally consistent and for local client I can easily manage midday walks or letting your pet out. Any pets requested a supper or late evening meal will get them at their routine time. I have been in positions of trust in every job I've ever had. Being a key holder, supervisor and role model to a large team. I have developed a quiet and calm maturity that makes me a fantastic person to rely on and out your precious put into the care of.
About: I grew up around animals on a family steading. With horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, taking care of animals is what I’m used to. I’ve experience around collies, sheep dogs, labradors and large mix breeds. Trained our Belgian sheepdog in my teens. Very experienced in caring for cats and their sometimes quirky natures! Outside of this I’ve done volunteer work with wild animals in South America - looked after a puma! Not much call for that in Scotland though! 😄 I currently work 9-5, but I’m available for boarding on weekends and dog walking most nights, potentially mornings before work and weekends. Also happy to pet sit at your home if preferable for you & your pet. I live in a flat, but close to beautiful places to go for long walks and I love being out in nature and there’s nothing better than being outside with a dog. Have access to a shared garden.

About: Hello! I have been around animals my whole life and grew up with many dogs on the family farm. I have a dog of my own now and I have absolutely loved training her as a pup and enjoying the beauty of the countryside with her now. My work schedule is pretty structured with every other weekend off and every other Monday and Friday off but I have availability most early mornings and later evenings! I have a secured back garden for any visitors to enjoy along with my very friendly, playful dog. Lots of comfy and quiet spots around the house for any loafers to kick back and chillax!
About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs all my life, I am an experienced pet owner, and pet sit for friends and family and neighbours. Loves Animals, caring, compassionate, honest. I currently work PT so I have a flexible schedule and am available in evenings and weekends, and I understand that pet sitting is specific. I have worked in peoples homes as care manager & used to changing environments and how to be respectful and responsible, and reliable. Leaving homes as you find them.
About: Had dogs my whole life up until recently. In the past ive looked after dogs, cats, a snake, a gecko etc. So quite used to being around different animals. Ive been trusted to look after 4 collies a whippet and a cat for a few days which is maybe my greatest pet sitting accomplishment Routine is very open right now. Like walking or hiking or climbing, so adding any pets into the mix is very doable. Any work I do have I will know in advance and my calender will reflect that. Quiet period just now so very open :) Ground floor flat next to the playing field and park in Westhill so lots of spaces for walking and playing. Flat has doors that can be shut between kitchens and bathrooms etc so younger or more "inquisitive" pets won't be able to get to anything they shouldnt

About: I’m a passionate animal lover with three dogs and two birds of my own. I’ve also helped care for puppies and kittens, giving me experience with animals at different stages of life. While I haven’t worked as a professional pet sitter before, I have experience helping family members care for their pets and understand the responsibility involved in looking after animals. During college, I studied Animal Care and veterinary terminology, which helped me develop knowledge of animal welfare, behaviour, handling, and basic animal health. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pets. I’ll make sure your pets receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship while you’re away, treating them as if they were my own. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the week and on weekends. I enjoy spending time with animals and have experience caring for my own pets as well as pets belonging to family members. I am happy to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship while following your pet's regular routine. While I am new to professional pet sitting, I have regularly cared for my own pets and helped look after family members' pets. I understand the importance of following feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special instructions. I am reliable, patient, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home while you are away

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
