About: Hi! I'm a reliable and caring animal lover who loves spending time with pets. I'm a cat owner myself, so I understand the needs for pets to feel comfortable and well looked after while their owners are away. I currently work a 4-days-on / 4-days-off schedule, which gives me several full days where i can be available for pet care, walks and home visits. As a cat owner I have hands-on experience caring for pets. I regularly dog sit for friends, including feeding, walking and playtime. I am comfortable caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and am able to follow specific routines, feeding schedules and instructions. I currently work a 4-days-on / 4-days-off schedule. This makes me available for several consecutive days at a time which works well for pet sitting, regular walks or holiday cover. I can offer flexibility on my days off. As a cat owner I understand the need for playtime and attention when needed. As an experienced dog walker/sitter I am used to handling dogs on and off lead and handling interaction with other dogs and dog owners when out walking. I can work with any feeding schedule and food requirements.

About: Hello, I’m Naomi, a 28-year-old Veterinary Nurse with a lifelong passion for animals. Choosing someone to care for your pet is a big decision, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. As a Veterinary Nurse, I have extensive experience caring for animals of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and medical needs. I share my life with a dog of my own, so I know that pets are family. Whether your pet loves long walks, gentle strolls, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll tailor their care to suit their individual personality and routine. My professional background means I’m confident administering medication, monitoring health and wellbeing, recognising signs of illness, and caring for senior pets or those with additional needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priority. When your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated as if they were my own—with plenty of love, attention, enrichment, and care. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can relax knowing your best friend is in safe hands. I like to call them “pupdates”. I’d love to meet you and your pet and discuss how I can provide a happy, safe, and caring home-from-home experience while you’re away. 🐾 Feel free to get in touch—I look forward to meeting your furry family member! I work full-time as a Veterinary Nurse at a Veterinary practice in Inverness but I am available almost every weekend, and depending on my shift pattern, I can also provide evening care. I have a spacious, fenced garden, perfect for your pet to explore and play in. Our home is located in a rural area, providing a safe environment. We also have a Labrador with a wonderful temperament who has been raised with other dogs. He is crate trained and enjoys the freedom to move in and out of his crate as he pleases, making him a great companion for another dog.
About: I’ve owned my own dachshund for 3 years and if you know the breed you understand that I have plenty of experience with anxious trouble makers. I also have a working collie so can deal with high energy dogs as well. I am currently applying for a masters degree so my summers are free for some doggy adventures ! I am at home from Monday to Friday most days to dog sit with the occasional adventure day where I go on longer hikes and walks. If your pooch would enjoy this longer day out contact me to arrange for a mountain climb or longer adventure. All dogs in my care will remain on lead at all times (can be an extendable lead or a long line) to ensure everyone is safe at all times. When traveling in a car I do require pets to have a travel safe harness to be able to use my dog seatbelts. All dog walks will be recorded on Strava with my emergency contact having our location at all times to ensure safety when out.i can also provide owners with tracking information as well.
About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life, during this I have helped with the birth of thirty-two puppies from three litters. During this I was required to clean, feed and toilet train the puppies before they were sent to their new owners. Because of my experience with animals this led me to studying at the University of Aberdeen to get a Zoology degree. I am now in my fourth year and I have now decided to start dog sitting, walking and boarding as I volunteered at a dog shelter over the summer. This allowed me to gain experience with a variety of dogs, working with nervous dogs and gaining their trust, learning to read body language more thoroughly and walking many dogs of all sizes up to 40kg+. During the time at the shelter we had a foster pit bull mix that was reactive on walks and I gained the skills to avoid any problems and manage the dog when other dogs were off lead. I have always had the ability to understand my own dogs but the experience at the shelter allowed me to apply those skills and help so many other dogs. I am currently working as an environmental advisor, with a Monday - Friday 8-5 schedule. However, I do work at home three days a week, which is subject to change depending upon my work load. I am able to board dogs within my home and do walks when working from home and full time on weekends. I live in a bungalow house with 5 dogs, however my dogs are friendly with all dogs excluding un neutered males. If at any point the dog is uncomfortable, I am able to take them into my bedroom away from all other dogs. At no time will the dog be left alone as I am totally comfortable with the dog being on my bed and in my room with me. For walks I live right next to the woods and I will be able to take the dogs for regular walks throughout the day depending on how much energy the dogs needs to exert.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Highland
Kami has absolutely removed any anxiety about leaving my two cats… We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! From the very beginning, she was reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. It was clear she took the time to get to know our cats and made sure they felt comfortable, happy, and well looked after while we were away. We really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious our cats were receiving plenty of attention and affection, not just the basics of feeding and cleaning. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and everything was spotless. It’s such a relief to know we have someone we can completely trust with our pet. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend Kami to anyone looking for a caring, professional, and dependable cat sitter.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Highland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
