About: I have hands-on experience caring for pets, particularly cats, as I have my own and understand their daily needs, including feeding, grooming, cleaning litter trays, playtime, and providing plenty of affection and attention. I am comfortable recognising changes in their behaviour and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I also have experience walking and looking after dogs, ensuring they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am patient, reliable, and confident handling pets of different personalities. I understand how important it is to follow owners’ routines and instructions, and I will always treat every pet as if they were my own, making their wellbeing and happiness my top priority. I’m currently off university and work part-time, which means I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate pet care at short notice. I always know my shifts in advance, allowing me to plan visits and provide reliable, consistent care. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and well looked after. I understand how important it is for cats to feel safe and comfortable in their own home. I’ll follow your cat’s usual routine, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, administering medication if instructed, and providing playtime or quiet company depending on their personality. I’ll treat your home with respect, keep it secure, and send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and well cared for
About: Throughout my life i’ve owned and taken care of Dogs, Cats - including kittens, Reptiles and other “wacky” animals - Such as Snails, Vampire Crabs, Insects, and Frogs, However I have basic knowledge revolving around most animal care. I have also done basic training for my dog and cat. I’m currently working part time, so have plenty of time to work with animals, aswell as extremely active so can take animals on walks for long timings if needed. I can not house animals at my personal home, however I can happily travel upwards of 30 minutes for home sitting and walks - as well as provide excellent overnight services where needed as I am extremely adaptive and can wake multiple times during the night if your pet requires additional support.
“Evelyn was great with our Pippin! She was super flexible when we had to do last minute adjustments to the booking and kept us update the whole time she was there with how things were going. 10/10 - would recommend!”

“Very friendly and quick to respond to messages. Very calm with our doggy, clearly experienced and confident around dogs. Lots of updates and pictures sent, Kasie's been really fantastic!”

About: Hi, I’m Kieran! I’ve spent the last five years caring for my own two dogs, a Caucasian Shepherd and an energetic Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Looking after two completely different breeds has given me hands on experience with dogs of all sizes, personalities and exercise needs. From managing the strength and protective instincts of a giant guardian breed to keeping an intelligent, active small dog mentally and physically stimulated, I’ve learned that every dog is unique and deserves patient, consistent care. I offer reliable dog walking, drop-in visits and pet sitting, always tailoring my care to suit each dog’s individual routine. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities or simply a calm companion while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise and affection. I work in education, so during school holidays I have excellent availability throughout the day. During term time I’m available before work, in the evenings, weekends and throughout school holidays, allowing me to provide flexible care around your pet’s routine. Friends, family and colleagues know me as dependable, organised and calm under pressure qualities that are especially important when caring for someone else’s beloved pet. I understand how much trust owners place in their sitter, and I take that responsibility seriously. When your dog is with me, I’ll treat them exactly as I do my own with kindness, patience and genuine care. My goal is for both you and your dog to feel completely comfortable and confident from our very first meeting. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you always know your pet is happy, safe and enjoying their time with m I’m currently on annual leave for the next 6 weeks so have availability every day as I work in education. I can work to meet the needs of you and your pet. My goal is to ensure both you and your dog feel comfortable confident and happy from the moment we meet.

About: I've grown up with both cats and dogs and have a lot of experience taking care of them. I have two cats myself and love spending time with any animal! I work part time so have plenty of time to look after peta. I absolutely love walking so would be very happy to take dogs along with me. Very happy to follow the routine in which you look after your pets at home as I know how important this is for animals, especially when they're away from their humans.

About: I've been professionally pet and house sitting since I was 17 years old and have spent over 15 years caring for animals with a wide range of personalities, breeds and needs. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats and horses, animals have always been a huge part of my life, and my parents still joke that I was partly raised by our family Rottweiler because of my natural connection with animals. Over the years I've cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments - from energetic Bull Terriers and gentle Great Danes to brachycephalic breeds such as Pugs and French Bulldogs that require extra attention. I also have experience with senior pets, diabetic pets, disabled pets and animals with ongoing medical needs, ensuring routines, medications and care instructions are followed carefully. My approach is centred around keeping pets happy, comfortable and stress-free by maintaining their normal routines, understanding their individual personalities and giving them the care and attention they need while you're away. I believe caring for your home is part of caring for your pets. I treat every home with respect, keeping spaces clean and tidy while providing reliable communication and peace of mind. My profile photos may not be award-winning, but I'd like to think my pet care is. I take pride in providing dependable, compassionate care, and I'm honoured that so many owners have trusted me with both their beloved pets and their homes over the years. I currently work remotely with flexible hours, which allows me to easily adapt my schedule around each pet's individual needs and their owner's routine. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I prioritise maintaining their normal feeding times, walks, medication schedules and daily habits wherever possible. My flexible routine means I can provide plenty of companionship, regular check-ins and attentive care rather than fitting pets around a rigid schedule. I enjoy creating a calm, predictable environment where pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether caring for pets in their own home or taking them out for walks, my priority is always creating a safe, calm and comfortable experience that matches their normal routine. When pet sitting or providing day care, I treat each owner's home with the same respect I would expect someone to show my own. I take care to follow household rules, keep spaces clean and tidy, and ensure pets have access to everything they need while maintaining their usual feeding, medication and exercise routines. Before caring for any pet, I take the time to learn their personality, habits, triggers and individual needs. This is especially important for nervous pets, senior animals, pets with medical needs or those who simply prefer their own space. I believe trust is earned through patience, consistency and respecting each animal's boundaries. For dog walks, I prioritise safe handling, appropriate routes, and walks suited to each dog's age, breed, fitness level and temperament. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities and understand the importance of keeping them secure, happy and stimulated. Clear communication is also important to me, so owners can feel confident knowing their pets are safe, cared for and treated as individuals while they are away.
“Angelica is an absolute angel well named, she stayed in our house when we went on holiday to look after our dog Lincoln who can take a minute to get to know new people, he loved her on first site, she respected the property & gave us daily updates & pictures, I would highly recommend Angelica to look after any pet & your home. I will certainly have her look after & walk Lincoln again 5 stars all round. Thank you Angelica ♥️”

“Holly house sits for our 12 year old cat, Max. We find Holly to be reliable, honest, trustworthy and consciousness. A pleasure to have in our home and Max adores her loving disposition. We were kept updated with photos and messages throughout our absence and that was very reassuring. We have no hesitation recommending Holly for house sitting and drop in visits and are delighted to have found her. 10/10”

About: I've lived with raised ,trained and cared for dogs my entire life .I have a lot of experience with large dogs and i look after my elderly relatives German sheperds often. I am currently studying mechanical engineering at the University of Aberdeen so I have to work around that but as most classes r online I have a lot of free time. By keeping the dog company taking it outside regularly for poo breaks , ensuring it always has water and is fed according to its routine.

About: Hiya! Im 19 and currently in college and have always loved being around animals. I currently have a dog and have previously had a hamster and bunnies however I have spent time around cats and other pets too so I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals. I’m a patient and caring person who really enjoys spending time with animals and see them as part of the family! and believe when being around animals making sure they feel happy and comfortable is important. I currently have a lot more free time outside of college and especially during holidays i feel pet sitting would be a great way to spend time doing something I truly enjoy while helping others out by caring for their pets. I have a dog his name is Cody! so pet care is part of my daily routine a lot considering I’m around him nearly 24/7 when not at college (even then I still make time for him) I feed him, make sure he has fresh water and take him for walks or play with him with his favourite toy ( a ball) and don’t worry I don’t forget the treats! The way I care for pets is by making sure their needs are met and that they feel safe and comfortable which i personally feel is very important which is why I always go at their pace. I make sure they have fresh water and that I spend time playing with them so they don’t feel lonely. I also make sure to pay attention to their behaviour so I can notice if anything seems wrong. I study social sciences so I feel that my ability to read people can sometimes help me understand behaviour better and I think that it helps me out when being around animals as how you act around animals can affect how they respond and act towards you. If I were caring for someone else’s pet in their home I would follow their instructions and stick to whatever the animals normal routine has been so they feel secure in their own environment as I would not want to confuse them or disrupt what they are used to!
About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have around four years of experience caring for them. Friends, neighbours and family often trust me to look after their dogs when they need help. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs going on walks, playing, and making sure they feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. Every dog has a different personality, and I always try to understand what makes them feel relaxed and safe. My favourite breeds are Labradors and Staffies I absolutely adore them but I genuinely love dogs of all breeds and sizes. Being around dogs always makes my day better, and I treat every dog I care for like they’re my own. As I’m new on Rover, my prices are currently a bit lower while I build up my profile and reviews. I really appreciate every booking and always make sure your pet gets the best care. 🐾 I currently work part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time to care for pets. I’m usually available during the week for walks. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first for me. I follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pet feels safe, calm and well cared for while you’re away.
About: i’ve been cat sitting for other families since I was 16 and I have had many cats in my own family all throughout my life. I have always been the crazy cat lady in my family and I absolutely adore my little cuddly kitties. I have always been asked by neighbours and family friends to look after their cats while they have been on vacation and I love doing it! I am very experienced with all types of cats whether they are social or a little more reserved. I have also done a three week internship in a cattery when I was 16 so am confident when giving medicine and cleaning cats. I am able to see cats every day in my weekly routine. If you require me to spend more than one 1-hour visit a day with you cat then just reach out and I will see what my schedule is like! I am always very careful to open doors when first entering your home, just in case your little one is waiting to come out. I will always go slowly and gently with your cat at first and let them know that they are in charge of how the pet care is going to be. I always want your cats to trust me, however I understand that some cats are too timid and do not want to speak and that is perfectly fine.

Madeline looked after Oz so well for us while we were away. When we came back he was happy and calm and had obviously enjoyed having her stay. She’s very contentious and I was confident she would deal with any issues that came up while we were away, Oz has had problems with his legs so this level of care was very important to us. Thank you very much 😊

Grace was absolutely tremendous while watching my boys. Apollo took to her straight away and was very happy all day. She was extremely attentive, followed every instruction and provided regular updates throughout the day. Could not have asked for a better sitter and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Angelica is an absolute angel well named, she stayed in our house when we went on holiday to look after our dog Lincoln who can take a minute to get to know new people, he loved her on first site, she respected the property & gave us daily updates & pictures, I would highly recommend Angelica to look after any pet & your home. I will certainly have her look after & walk Lincoln again 5 stars all round. Thank you Angelica ♥️

Kasie house sat for our 9 month working retriever who went into season just before the booked dates. Kasie was not phased at all and took everything in her stride. Kasie is a great communicator, she is confident, calm, caring and extremely competent. We would not hesitate to have Kasie look after Harley again.

Evelyn was an absolute delight from start to finish. She was very organised from the get go and was communicative throughout. We initially did a meet and greet with Evelyn as Sprout can be a little additional with his requirements, but she was not phased and focused on how she could best support him whilst he was under her care. When we returned home Sprout was relaxed and happy - we will definitely be using Evelyn again in the near future.

This is the first time we had used this service for our labrador Lola and we were a little bit nervous as to how she would respond. However, Kiarra seemed to have the magic touch putting her at ease almost immediately. Kiarra's communication was excellent, sending us photos of Lola doing all her favourite things. This allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday. Lola seemd very settled when we got back - already missing Kiarra i think. We would have no hesitation in using Kiarra again and are already looking at dates.

Mia was amazing, gave great daily updates, spent a lot of time with my cats, and ensured they were greatly looked after. She absolutely cares a lot for animals, which shows in her work. I will absolutely rebook with her in the future, and cannot recommend her enough.

Gen was great! She came out to meet the dogs before the sitting and this was very useful. The dogs were happy to see her and settled well. I was kept updated with photos and messages on a regular basis. The house was also well cared for and all plants still alive !! Perfect service … thank you again Gen !!

Tyra stayed and house sat my two furry friends and they had a great time! Meg has daily ear drops and a supplement which we're no bother at all. Both dogs can be nervous with new people but fell in love with her so quickly and I got plenty of updates through the sit. Tyra is really responsive and attentive to the dog's needs also which was such a relief. I came back to a spotless house, 2 happy dogs and 2 sit reports to let me know exactly how each pup had been habit/feed/behaviour wise whilst away which was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely book Tyra again in future! :)

This was the first time abroad from our pets; two Romanian rescues and an elderly cat - we were a little anxious as you'd expect, but we'd built up a little trust between ourselves, our animals and Vilte before we went, including a few hours simply house-sitting a week before our holiday. One of our rescues can take a while to build trust, but was relaxed with Vilte as we saw on the many photos and updates she sent while we were away. We're already planning another house-sit with her, and dog-walking meanwhile.

Despite Sprout feeling unwell and being anxious, Leony did a great job at looking after Sprout. She kept sending us updates of our wee man the whole time, which allowed us to relax! Sprout is quite a loud and nervous dog, which didn't phase her. Definitely will be booking with Leony again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Aberdeen walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aberdeen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
