About: I've grown up in a family that has always loved dogs, so caring for them has been a natural part of my life from a young age. I truly enjoy being around dogs and understand the love, attention, and patience they need to thrive. As a dog owner myself, I have hands-on experience with daily care, exercise, enrichment, and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. I'm currently completing additional training to further develop my knowledge and skills, allowing me to provide the highest standard of care. My goal is to ensure that both you and your dog feel comfortable, supported, and confident while in my care. I will always take the time to understand your dog's routine, preferences, and needs so that both you and your furry friend have the best possible experience. As a student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to the dogs in my care. From September 2026, I will be attending campus three days a week during term time, with my timetable to be confirmed. I will always ensure your dog receives the attention, exercise, companionship, and routine they need to feel happy and settled. Your dog's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighbourhood and provide a calm, child-free and cat-free environment. My home is kept clean and secure to minimise hazards, and I have a large crate available if required. I take the time to understand each dog's individual needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout their stay.
“Evelyn helped me out on short notice and changed a plan to better suit what I needed, she provided update throughout the day and I got a happy dog back! Would recommend 🙂”

“Buddy has really enjoyed his visits and playing with Dream 😊 I have received regular photos and video updates of his day while there and Buddy always comes home tired and happy. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else looking for a reliable sitter.”

“Freya had an amazing time staying with Vilte! She was also very accommodating to me being daft and forgetting to drop off a lead with Freya and gave plenty of updates through the day! Would highly recommend Vilte and Freya looks forward to staying over again! Thank you!!!!”

About: Since I was 5 I have always had pets, mostly dogs but more recently cats and rabbits. I have my own dog who is 2 and I have toilet and crate trained her. I have trained Lola a lot of skills and now she is in a constant routine I am a staff nurse in ARI so I work on a shift work so this changes weekly, I can’t always guarantee the same days but always have available days My flat is set up for my pup who is friendly and loves when my friends pups are around to have a play. I have Lola’s travel crate so I can easily help with crate training when I have your pup to stay
“This was Macy’s first time with Eunice and the first time we have used this app. Eunice was lovely from the get go and so welcoming. Plenty of picture updates and Macy has come absolutely knackered from all her walkies today (& with a new bone, Tysm!) Will use again thank you ☺️”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 14, my own dogs, my family dogs, neighbours, they relied them to me, I love them, They're like babies, So Cutes! I am currently studying part-time at college, so I just can't be able mondays and tuesdays, But I am available From Wednesday onwards, every week, in the afternoons I have a big park behind my house and it is a safety area, there's a near veterinary if something's wrong, I can walk them easily and play with them!
About: My family had a number of small pets (rabbits, guinea pigs and budgies) that I helped look after as I was growing up. As a teenager I also contributed to the care of our male boxer. For many years thereafter it wasn't possible to have any animals - I had moved abroad for university, spent time away on placement, started full-time work thereafter with life in rented accommodation which didn't allow pets. This change in 2020 when I lodged with a new landlady and her 2 adorable cocker spaniels. We became friends and when I visit I continue to take care of them when their owner is away; daytime and overnight. That includes walks on the beach or on a forest trail, where their favourite activity is to chase a tennis ball, followed by a swim. Once home, the boys make it clear that they would like food and ongoing attention in the form of belly rubs I'm very happy to oblige with. Following their owners suggestion I registered on borrowmydoggy in 2021 and met through this service a number of lovely dogs, mostly larger breeds (German Shepherd, Huskies, Malamute) but I've also started looking after a very confident and fast Chihuahua/Jack Russell lady who enjoys meeting new dogs on her park walks. My availability varies weekly. I prefer late morning and early afternoon sessions which give me a nice break from working at home on days that I can. I live in a top floor rented flat and have access to a small enclosed communal garden to the rear of the property. There is no lift so your pet needs to be able to climb stairs. Cats visit the garden frequently. I can take your pet to the beach or forest in my car.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have had over 5 dogs growing up, so being around them has always been a big part of my life. I now have my own pup, Bella, so I’m used to daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure dogs feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I treat every dog like they’re my own and create a calm, loving environment for them. I am unemployed and study online, so I’m able to give dogs my full time, attention, and care. I cater to every dog’s needs, big or small! I have a secure fenced garden for safe outdoor time. I also have my own small pup, Bella, who is an angel with other dogs. All interactions are supervised, and I can keep dogs completely separate if preferred.
“Jane was so welcoming to both Murphy and myself. She obligingly helped out with a last minute dog sitting. Even though Murphy is very anxious and barky at the moment, she made him feel safe and loved, even if it was just for a few hours! Thank you Jane! Hope to see you again soon !??”

“Angela is amazing with Archie! I know leaving him with her he is well looked after and cared for! He has a great time at her house with lots of walks and playtime! 10/10 would recommend Angela, she is amazing :)”

“So very happy to have found Shaimaa to take care of Baloo during our trip to Aberdeen! She accepted an incredibly short notice request when another arrangement fell through, and was such a fabulous sitter for him. Shaimaa sent reassuring video clips, photos and messages, so we knew that Baloo was in great hands and having a super time. Baloo responded incredibly positively to her calm, caring and positive approach. He had lots of fun, great walks and plenty cuddles. We highly recommend Shaimaa if you're based in, or travelling to, Aberdeen. What an excellent experience she provided, which meant that we could relax and make the most of the events that brought us to Aberdeen, without worrying about the wellbeing of our lovely dog. Thank you so much!”

“Virgil had a great time with Sarah, Glen and family. They were really great at following our guidance for Virgil given that he's young and still needs things like planned naps. The photos they sent through were so lovely, we knew what he was up and that he was happy. He seemed really happy and chilled there!”

“Bianca took wonderful care of our puppy, Wren. We received loads of updates throughout the day and our instructions for Wren were followed closely. We will definitely book again with Bianca!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Aberdeen commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
