I adapt my routine to fit with your pet's needs. As I study and work from home, pet sitting is a natural fit with my usual daily routine. I communicate closely with each owner to learn about their pet's preferences and routines, and ensure that they remain the priority throughout their stay. I am a yoga teacher, and love to practise my own yoga daily. Pets often find this relaxing and tend to join in, which is wonderful!

When your pet is in my home, they will have regular access to a fenced garden, beautiful parks and beaches and a safe environment at all times. I am an excellent communicator and understand that it can be stressful for owners to be away from their pets. I believe that open, honest communication is key to maintaining comfort and safety. I discuss with each owner their preferences for updates, including messages, photos and videos. When caring for dogs, I make sure that I understand the dog's recall habits thoroughly and discuss on-leash/off-leash walks with the pet owner. I wanted to let you know that our flat is located on the 3rd floor. If your dog is senior and unable to climb stairs, please keep this in mind.

A typical day
I love engaging dogs in outdoor and indoor games to help them burn physical and mental energy. For cats, I use feather wands to satisfy their natural hunting instincts. I interact with the pets as I would my own - they are part of the family and I enjoy giving them love and care whilst their owner is away. I like to gather information from the owner about their pet's favourite activites and replicate that whilst they are with me. Beach walks, cafe visits, quiet afternoons at home - each pet has its own preferences and I will be led by that.

I am an experienced veterinary surgeon recently moved to Aberdeen. I am currently studying to register as a vet in the UK whilst thoroughly enjoying offering pet sitting services in my home. I also work part time online teaching holistic pet health programs to pet owners. I am offering pet sitting for those who prefer a loving home environment over a traditional kennel. With my veterinary background, your pets will be in the safest possible hands! I have numerous 5-star references from pet owners that I would be delighted to share with you. * Home-from-home care: Lots of love, attention and no disruption to your pet's exercise and food routine. I have no pets or children and live in a quiet home near beautiful parks and the beach. * Elderly pets, young pets and pets requiring medication/special care will be safe and comfortable. * Reasonable rates and excellent communication.

I had an excellent experience with Shaimaa, she quickly replied to my initial enquiry and we set up a Meet and Greet. That went well and she showed us her home where Romy would be staying, her garden and we went for a walk in a nearby park. On the day the drop off went smoothly and she double checked exactly when to feed Romy and how much. The stay was for three nights and Shaimaa kept in touch sending regular messages and photos. At the end she even took Romy and his gear down to the car for me. I was very happy with Shaimaa and would not hesitate to use her again and to highly recommend her.
So very happy to have found Shaimaa to take care of Baloo during our trip to Aberdeen! She accepted an incredibly short notice request when another arrangement fell through, and was such a fabulous sitter for him. Shaimaa sent reassuring video clips, photos and messages, so we knew that Baloo was in great hands and having a super time. Baloo responded incredibly positively to her calm, caring and positive approach. He had lots of fun, great walks and plenty cuddles. We highly recommend Shaimaa if you're based in, or travelling to, Aberdeen. What an excellent experience she provided, which meant that we could relax and make the most of the events that brought us to Aberdeen, without worrying about the wellbeing of our lovely dog.
