“I used Chris and Laura's Doggy Day Care and Sitting service for the first time today, and they were absolutely brilliant. They kept me well informed about how Chewy was getting on throughout the day, spent lots of time walking him, and worked on his recall and off-lead training. It was clear that they genuinely care about the dogs in their care and put a lot of effort into helping them learn and have fun. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, and I will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you both for taking such great care of Chewy! Kylie”

About: We're Steph and James a family living in the countryside with one teenager and one friendly dog named Jack. We have a very large garden and many country walks on our doorstep. We work from home so someone is always here to look after your best friend. We both work from home so have plenty of time to head out on adventure walks. We have a teenager that adores animals also and has lots of energy after school to play in the garden with your pet. We take it in turns doing the school run so there is always someone at home. We have a large garden that is fenced in with a stream that runs down one side. We have plenty or room in our office space including a sofa. So your pet never has to be alone. Jack is a very loving and friendly and relax boy. Who get on very well with all other dogs.
About: I have loved dogs since I was a child. I had a characterful fox terrier that required a lot of work. Patience and consistency made my dog behave every day. Which made our bond even stronger. Currently, I do not have a dog due to trips to my family in Poland. However, I could help during your trip, and I promise that your pet will receive a lot of love, care and attention from me. I work full time. I have Sundays and Mondays off. I work in the mornings. So I have a lot of free time in the afternoon to take care of your pet. I have a cat at home who is very friendly to other cats and dogs. I don't have a garden, but there are forests very close that allow for safe walks
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Moray is £25

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Moray commute.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
