“Came back to two very well looked after animals. I have a rescue who can’t be left by herself and Erin had no issues making sure she was well cared for and got all the cuddles and walk! Thank you Erin, would definitely recommend. ☺️”

About: We've had our own dogs my entire life, and I became fully responsible for my own dogs from the age of 12. I've lived on my own for 12 years now, and have always had dogs. I've looked after friends and family dogs on and off over the years, from puppies through to old dogs receiving palliative care - all are welcome to stay with us I'm currently working from home, with rare occasions I have to go to the office for a meeting. I do have to pop out every morning and lunchtime to drop my son off at nursery, but am always happy for dogs to travel with us! If the weather is too warm to be out, the dogs stay home as we have a nice cool old stone cottage. We like to go for dog walks first thing, just after lunch if temperatures allow, and then evening walks are a possibility too if the weather has been too hot or too wild during the day. I currently have one dog at home, who is allowed free range of the house, along with a fenced off large garden. We live in a very rural area allowing for plenty of local walking as well as opportunities to go further up into the hills or down to the coast. I will always put your dog/s needs first, their safety is my priority. I do have a toddler in the house, but having been brought up with dogs, and coming dog sitting with me, he has a huge respect for dogs. Your dogs will sleep separately to my dog, just to ensure everyone gets their peace, and I'm happy for their beds or crates to come too if required, although we have a large variety of both if needed.
About: My family still have our 15 year old bearded collie and we lost our 12 year old German Shepherd January this year. I miss the long walks, trail runs and company. I recently moved to my own home and would love the opportunity to look after someone’s pooch and get them / me out and about! I work full time during the week so unable to offer anything weekdays. I finish work by 3pm on a Friday. I think I’d be perfect for those away for the weekend but looking for someone to care for their fur baby! I have an unfenced garden that is shared, I can close the gate at the main driveway and I’d ensure I pop a lead on before opening the entrance door to be extra cautious… I’d do the same for my own dog.

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years. I have fostered and adopted rescue dogs. I have walked and pet sat dogs for neighbours. I am used to caring for large and reactive dogs I work remotely. So I have plenty flexibility for toilet breaks and lunch time walks. I work 9-5 with an hour for lunch. I am active and enjoy reasonably lengthy walks. I dont work on Mondays so can spend more time with the animal's on that day. I am able to work in the dogs/ cats presence so I can interact with them throughout the day. I have public liability insurance and canine First Aid training.
About: Growing up with cats and a dog, I have had an offinaty to dogs for most of my life, perhaps why I became a veterinary nurse. This career has given me a great deal of skills in caring for many species. I also know that dogs are family members, and I would care for yours and I do mine. I am happy to groom, clean, play and walk your fur baby, I am also able and happy to medicate if applicable. I have also completed a Canine behaviour course so I am able to recognise and manage various common behavioural traits I work 4 days a week, Tues-Friday. Therefore I am available all day on a Monday if you need a walker/sitter then or at the weekends. I do have my own pup, but I wouldn't walk together as I know not all dogs like each other I am happy to have a chat about your pets personal needs and act accordingly, routine is so important, so I would do my best to keep to a similar one as best as possible.

Thank you Liudmyla for taking such good care of Skip and my home. Liudmyla sent me photographs and updates on Skip while I was away. I found this to be a great comfort and it allowed me to enjoy my time away knowing he was in safe hands. I will definitely book Liudmyla again when I have some time away from home and can’t take Skip with me. Thanks again.

Sandra took great care of my cat and dog while we were away on holiday. 12 days and nights looking after our precious pets, Sandra sent regular updates and photos and was really kind and thoughtful. Would highly recommend. Sandra genuinely loves animals and is knowledgable and caring. Thank you.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Moray walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moray choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
