About: I've helped walk dogs since I was able to walk a dog on my own. I have owned two reactive dogs and helped care for a puppy for a family friend. I currently own a reactive rottweiler cross collie. I currently don't work so I have plenty of time on my hands to go on walks with some furry friends. happy to look after some more furry friends. I have a 8 ft fence around my back garden. I know great quiet walks to keep away from any kind of stressful situation for your pets. I can adjust to any needs your pet requires
“James was quick to respond to all messages, and turned up on time. He came over for a meet and greet with the dogs prior to the first booked session. Very nice guy, local to me, kind with the dogs and clearly loves their company. They had a great time, the pictures he sent me speak for themselves. Thanks!”

About: “Her and the Hound” started from my love for dogs and the simple joy of being outdoors. It’s about building trust, routine, and real connection giving every dog the care, attention, and adventure they deserve. I’ve turned my passion into a business that’s reliable, personal, and built from the heart. I’m currently working part-time for someone else and part-time doing dog walking and sitting, I’m looking to go full time by next year so I’ll have plenty of time for your pups I have a very friendly spaniel who loves to keep other dogs company but if your dog isn’t so keen on animals that’s perfectly fine too. My home is comfortable and safe for any size of dog, I have a crate if your dog likes to go in and in my van for walking I have secured crates for travel.
About: I’ve previously worked in veterinary practice, which has given me a good understanding of animal health, behaviour, and welfare. I have dogs of my own, so I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet. Whether your dog is young, older, energetic, or just enjoys lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve! I’m pretty flexible at the moment, so pet care would fit in nicely with my schedule. I enjoy spending time with dogs and would love to help owners by providing friendly, reliable visits and plenty of attention and care when needed. I’ll provide caring visits in your home, following your pet’s routine with feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, and updates to give you peace of mind.
About: I’m a kind and compassionate pet owner and lover who loves spending time with my horse and dog going on big hacks with my dog along side and would adore your pet the same! I currently work full time 8am-8pm however, very flexible only doing this 3x a week. However, this changes often and can accommodate from month to month. I have a lot of responsibility with my pets. My dog is walked 2x big walks a day with my horse also being fed and groomed and ridden everyday also!
About: I’ve been around pets since i was very young and have 3 dogs of my own and 2 horses. I really care for the pets and think it’s important that they feel comfortable and have fun xx I currently have just finished school and will be able to dog walk all summer. I have not sorted another job out so i will be free a lot of the time My dogs are walked about 4 times a day and have a lovely big garden to play around. They also love the freedom of a farm.

About: I have around 3 years of experience caring for dogs and I truly love spending time with them. I currently work as a bank worker in a dog day care setting, where I help with collection and drop‑off around Edinburgh and support daily exploratory walks. This has given me experience managing different dogs, understanding behaviour and ensuring their safety in group environments. I also regularly walk dogs for neighbours and family in Peebles. I do this mainly because I enjoy it and love being outdoors with dogs. At home, I have 5 children who also love animals, so dogs are always treated as part of the family. I provide a calm, caring and safe environment where dogs feel comfortable and relaxed. I am very active and enjoy long exploratory walks, but I am also happy to adapt exercise depending on each dog’s individual needs. I prefer to care for a maximum of one or two dogs at a time to give them full attention and ensure their wellbeing. I have completed the IMDT Professional Day Care and Boarding qualification , which supports my understanding of dog welfare, behaviour and safe handling. I currently work part‑time from home, which gives me good flexibility to care for dogs during the week. I am available for walks, home visits and daycare, and I can also offer boarding. My daily routine already includes time outdoors, so I enjoy taking dogs on regular walks, whether this is a calm one-hour walk or a longer exploratory walk depending on the dog’s needs. I am happy to adapt my schedule to suit each dog, especially if they require specific routines for feeding, rest or exercise. I normally keep owners informed by sending regular updates and photos of our daily activities, so they can see how their dog is doing and feel reassured. I provide a safe environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I usually care for one or two dogs at a time so I can give them my full attention and make sure they feel comfortable. In my home, dogs have access to indoor & outdoor spaces to rest and relax, as well as regular time for walks and enrichment. I always prioritise safety, using leads, harnesses or controlled environments where appropriate, and adapting activities to each dog’s age, health and personality.

About: I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels and routines. From playful dogs who enjoy long walks and outdoor adventures to older dogs who prefer slower walks and extra affection, I always adapt to their individual needs :) I also enjoy keeping dogs mentally and physically stimulated while also respecting the pace they’re comfortable with. I carefully follow your pet’s normal routine including feeding times, walks, playtime, medication (if needed) and sleeping arrangements. Keeping their daily schedule as consistent as possible helps them feel comfortable and reduces stress while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my highest priorities. I carefully follow all instructions, keep the home secure and make sure pets are supervised appropriately during walks and at home. I understand how much trust it takes to leave someone with both your pet and your home and I take that responsibility very seriously. I will also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
