About: Hi, I'm Claire, the owner of Hound & Hike, a professional dog walking and pet sitting service based in Hexham. After more than 18 years as a police officer, I chose to follow my passion for caring for animals by creating a business dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate and trustworthy care for your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I've spent years caring for a wide variety of breeds, ages and personalities. From energetic working breeds and playful puppies to senior dogs, blind dogs and those needing medication or extra support, I understand that every dog is unique and deserves care tailored to their individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys adventurous countryside walks, relaxed local strolls, or simply companionship and reassurance while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved every step of the way. About: Hi, I’m Ella! I’m based in Hexham, a huge dog lover, and love being outdoors. Offering doggy daycare and walking on Rover is a natural fit for me and my home. I’ve cared for dogs for years and I'm owner to Angus, my friendly, neutered 6-year-old Spaniel. He’s completely dog-obsessed, loves company, and is always up for making a new best friend. Having a Spaniel means active daily routines are second nature to us—we love getting out into nature, exploring local routes, and keeping dogs happy and exercised! Services & Activities Provided: Dog Walking: 30 to 60-minute active walks tailored to your pup’s energy. Routes include local favourites like Tyne Green for easy river strolls, as well as trips further afield to woodland trails and country paths. Doggy Daycare: Full-day or half-day care in my home. Activities include supervised garden play with Angus, gentle treat puzzles, structured local walks, and cozy downtime on the sofa. Routine & Basic Care: Feeding on your regular schedule, fresh water refreshes, thorough towel-offs after muddy walks, and following any house rules or basic commands you use at home. Photo Updates: Photo and video check-ins sent throughout the day so you can see all the fun your dog is having. My Availability: I work full-time in teaching, which gives me fantastic, full-day availability for daycare and walks during the summer holidays, school term breaks, and over weekends! Outside of term breaks, I offer weekend daycare as well as evening and weekend walks. Angus and I would love to meet you and your pup! During term time, I offer evening and weekend walks and daycare. During school holidays and weekends, pet care becomes my full-time daily focus! About: I have always loved having dogs around, and when I was younger, the family dogs would always come down to the stables while I tended the horses. I have experience walking a variety of dogs: labradors, cocker/springer spaniels, cockapoos, dachshund to mention a few and across a wide range of ages. As we all like a little routine in our lives, dogs aren't too different; however, I do understand that each and every dog is different with their own personalities and needs. Therefore, I will adapt to their/your needs to provide a tailored-made service for them and you. This will give you the knowledge and confidence that they are being well looked after, safe and having fun. I am an honest, trustworthy, and energetic person who loves the great outdoors and has years of experience looking after family and close friends’ dog/s. I currently have part-time commitments; which allows me to be flexible. So, depending on your requirements, I can adhere to the service that is required. Dog walking services, collecting and returning to your property. I scoop poop, dry/clean them after a muddy walk and make sure they have plenty of water.

About: 5 years working with dogs in professional settings including rescue and a canine country club. Foundation degree in animal welfare and a diploma in canine behaviour I've just started doing this full time so, 24 hours a day 5 days a week, I'm here for you and your dog(s). About: I have been raised around pets my entire life, and am confident in my ability to care for them. I have cared for both family and friends' pets in the past when needed, and now have my own. I currently study part time, so have plenty time to care for your pets. With summer coming up, my availability is much more flexible due to the term ending :) A pet's safety and comfort is really important to me - I always make sure to provide the care needed and make sure that their owner is confident they are being cared for.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was a baby. Growing up my grandparents also owned parrots, bunnies, dogs of all sizes, cats, tortoises, fish, you name it…my parents always had dogs and cats. I also owned a dog for 11 years. I feel most comfortable around animals :) Being an older sister of 3, I grew up being the responsible one, caretaker and I’d also walk the dogs, train them, feed them and help my parents in any way I could. When I adopted my first own dog, I learned how much love I have to give and how much responsibility it takes to look after a furbaby. He was very anxious and reactive, so it was 11 years of learning and challenges, but he was the sweetest and goodest boy, right up until the end. I’m currently working full-time. For now I’m looking to combine my love for animals and building up a side income during my free time. I’m happy to look after and walk your pets during my free time on the weekends. I can drive which allows me to get to places a bit further out. I cannot have pets in my own home sadly. However, I’m happy to come in and check on your kitten or pooch while you’re away. I can also pet sit if needed and play with, feed and walk your dogs. I can also train and teach your dog (or cat, if they feel like it haha) some tricks. Work on their confidence by using gentle rewards and lots of patience on their walks. I have experience with reactive dogs and I know how important it is to maintain comfort and special care for the sensitive pups.

About: I'm a 22-year-old dog lover and I've been looking after dogs all my life! I have a long term dog I babysit! A gorgeous 7 year old beagle spaniel cross called "Dennis." I have lots of references- especially Dennis' mum and dad and I have special training in anxious pups, overly active pups and training in senior doggies! I'm great with puppies too and I'm very active myself so they'll be getting that 'wearing -out' walk they deserve! I'm currently working part time but I'm available early mornings all week until around 10.30 am every day apart from Wednesdays. I'm free in the afternoons/ evening's most days as well bar a couple of days but that's all rota dependent as I'm a bartender so we'll have to liase ☺️ I live in a shared house, all dog lovers and all with lovely dogs at home and all willing to care and play with your little one! I do always preface this as a graduates house as I'm more than happy to come to your home to look after your pup if that's preferred, my house has got a back garden where they can play, we have lots of tennis balls and ball launches, etc and we live just by the lovely fields on the town moor and Leazes park. So perfect for both short, long and even playful walks 🐕

About: I’m a final year vet student (about to graduate) who has had 7 years of experience both in vet practices and in pre-clinical placements such as dog walking and boarding. This means I have plenty of hands-on experience with both dogs and cats! I am at home for the summer after finishing 5 years at vet school! I have a fenced garden where your dogs can go to the toilet. Walks will be in safe locations away from roads and dangers. Dogs can be crated if needed. We will work to meet your individual needs.
