About: Hi, I’m Ella! I’m based in Hexham, a huge dog lover, and love being outdoors. Offering doggy daycare and walking on Rover is a natural fit for me and my home. I’ve cared for dogs for years and I'm owner to Angus, my friendly, neutered 6-year-old Spaniel. He’s completely dog-obsessed, loves company, and is always up for making a new best friend. Having a Spaniel means active daily routines are second nature to us—we love getting out into nature, exploring local routes, and keeping dogs happy and exercised! Services & Activities Provided: Dog Walking: 30 to 60-minute active walks tailored to your pup’s energy. Routes include local favourites like Tyne Green for easy river strolls, as well as trips further afield to woodland trails and country paths. Doggy Daycare: Full-day or half-day care in my home. Activities include supervised garden play with Angus, gentle treat puzzles, structured local walks, and cozy downtime on the sofa. Routine & Basic Care: Feeding on your regular schedule, fresh water refreshes, thorough towel-offs after muddy walks, and following any house rules or basic commands you use at home. Photo Updates: Photo and video check-ins sent throughout the day so you can see all the fun your dog is having. My Availability: I work full-time in teaching, which gives me fantastic, full-day availability for daycare and walks during the summer holidays, school term breaks, and over weekends! Outside of term breaks, I offer weekend daycare as well as evening and weekend walks. Angus and I would love to meet you and your pup! Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions or want to arrange a quick meet-and-greet Even though I am on dog care duty with Angus every day, I am a full time teacher. During term time, I offer evening and weekend walks and daycare. During school holidays and weekends, pet care becomes my full-time daily focus! Your dog is treated as part of the household with access to a cozy, secure living space and fenced secure garden alongside Angus. I stick strictly to your usual feeding, walking, and care routines.

About: I have always loved having dogs around, and when I was younger, the family dogs would always come down to the stables while I tended the horses. I have experience walking a variety of dogs: labradors, cocker/springer spaniels, cockapoos, dachshund to mention a few and across a wide range of ages. As we all like a little routine in our lives, dogs aren't too different; however, I do understand that each and every dog is different with their own personalities and needs. Therefore, I will adapt to their/your needs to provide a tailored-made service for them and you. This will give you the knowledge and confidence that they are being well looked after, safe and having fun. I am an honest, trustworthy, and energetic person who loves the great outdoors and has years of experience looking after family and close friends’ dog/s. All of which I absolutely love and adore and can’t wait to take them out again soon. Looking forward to meeting you and your canine best friend/s. Lindsay S. I currently have part-time commitments; which allows me to be flexible. So, depending on your requirements, I can adhere to the service that is required. Dog walking services, collecting and returning to your property. I scoop poop, dry/clean them after a muddy walk and make sure they have plenty of water.

About: Hi, I'm Claire, the owner of Hound & Hike, a professional dog walking and pet sitting service based in Hexham. After more than 18 years as a police officer, I chose to follow my passion for caring for animals by creating a business dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate and trustworthy care for your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I've spent years caring for a wide variety of breeds, ages and personalities. From energetic working breeds and playful puppies to senior dogs, blind dogs and those needing medication or extra support, I understand that every dog is unique and deserves care tailored to their individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys adventurous countryside walks, relaxed local strolls, or simply companionship and reassurance while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved every step of the way. I treat every dog as if they were my own, giving them the patience, kindness and attention they deserve. My policing career has equipped me with qualities that are invaluable in pet care: reliability, responsibility, excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and confident in any situation. As a trusted key holder, you can have complete peace of mind knowing your home and your pet are in safe hands. At Hound & Hike, your dog's safety, wellbeing and happiness are always my highest priorities. You'll also receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your best friend is enjoying their day. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your dog and become someone you can trust to care for them whenever you need. From 03/08, Hound & Hike is my full time role - offering dog walks and pet sitting predominantly Monday-Friday, but also occasional weekends. Please enquire 🙂 I am a trusted key holder, with safety and security being a priority - as well as giving your dog lots of love, care & attention (and treats if permitted!) I am DBS Checked, Dog First Aid trained and have a Diploma in Pet Sitting & Dog Walking and a Diploma in Canine Communication to further enhance my skills.

Kayleigh was always really fast to respond to our messages, she came and met with some of our lovely animals here at the rescue and walked 2 of our nervous & reactive rescues and she handled them really well, making sure to let us know when the dogs were being reactive and to what triggers She also went above and beyond and helped feed and water all our 100+ animals here at the rescue Would very highly recommend Kayleigh Thank you

Very happy with my pups walks this week. Louise agreed to pick up these walks last minute as we had a cancellation with our other walker - this has really helped us out and we appreciated the walks she did with our dog. She took him on different walks each day and even gave him a bag of treats at the end. Thanks so much!

With summer coming up, my availability is much more flexible due to the term ending :) A pet's safety and comfort is really important to me - I always make sure to provide the care needed and make sure that their owner is confident they are being cared for.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally. I’ve spent years around all kinds of breeds and personalities, from high energy springer spaniels to independent dachshunds and loyal German shepherds. At home we have one of each, so I know first-hand how different their needs, routines and quirks can be. Whether it’s long walks, playtime or just making them feel safe and happy, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I am home from uni for summer, so I can take them on short/long walks across Hadrian’s wall. Or we can relax at home, on the sofa 😛 I treat both the dog and the space with the same care and respect I would my own. I know how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable in their usual surroundings, so I stick to their normal routine and keep things calm and consistent. I’m tidy, reliable and always make sure everything’s left just how I found it — except maybe with a happier, well-walked dog.

About: I’ve owned dogs from the age of 6, both small and large, alongside other animals🐾 I love all animals tiny or giant! I often pet sit for friends, family and colleagues often. I work for a mental health charity full time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, but enjoy spending my free time going on walks and spending time with my english pointer Ellie who has endless amounts of energy. I would like to put my passion for animals to good use by helping out other pet parents when I can! I’m flexible and understand that every pet is unique and have their own quirks. I’m also open to extra long walks as a girl who loves to get her steps in! I’m available after 5pm on a weekday (Monday-Friday) but sometimes this is flexible! I am also available for early morning 6-7am on a weekday (Monday-Friday) but sometimes this is flexible also! On a weekend I am available at ANY time! I mainly offer drop-in visits, dog walks, and occasional in-home stays, allowing pets to stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I don’t host pets in my own home, as I have a dog and want to avoid causing them any stress by introducing unfamiliar animals into their space. As a true animal lover, I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick visit, a walk, or a longer stay, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, exercise, playtime, and any special care requirements. During visits, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and companionship—not just the basics. I’m attentive to their behaviour and wellbeing, and I always aim to make each visit calm, positive, and reassuring. I respect your home and keep everything clean, tidy, and secure. Trust and safety are very important to me, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.

About: With 21 years of hands-on pet care experience, I offer calm, home-style boarding and sitting. I’m experienced with energetic dogs, anxious pets and seniors, and I stick closely to your instructions and routine. Safety comes first: secure doors/gates, lead rules, and careful supervision. I can support basic training habits (sit, stay, lead manners) and I’m happy to send frequent updates so you feel confident while you’re away. I work remotely, so I’m at home most of the day and can give pets plenty of attention, comfort and supervision. This means I can stick closely to your pet’s routine for feeding, toilet breaks, play and rest. I’m flexible with drop-off and pick-up times (with notice), and I’m available for weekday and weekend bookings depending on dates. Because I work from home, pets are not left alone for long periods and are supervised throughout the day. I keep a calm, safe home environment and follow your instructions closely (feeding routine, walking preferences, medication, and house rules). I’m careful with doors and safety checks, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you feel reassured while you’re away.

About: Hi there! My name is João, I came from Brazil to do my PhD research a few months ago and, since then, has been working as pet sitting in Newcastle. I had to leave my two cats under my friend's care during the period I am here (sadly but also thankfully), so I sincerely can relate with the need of having someone responsable, trustful and experience to look after our littles. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats here, as well as of pets for family and friends in Brazil, including dogs, cats, hamsters and bunnies, which I consider positive experiences in developing a sense of how to provide assistance in different situations regarding sitter them. For me, aside from doing an extra money to support my period of study here, it will be a genuine pleasure to spend time with your pets and give them all the love I keep with me for my cats, and I will make sure to take care of your pets with the same attention I would like mine to be cared, ensuring they will be safe, respected and catered to all needs. As I have flexible times at university my schedule is always free. I am available all day every day of week so we can previously arrange the activities you need to be provided (including home visits, house sitting, walk in neighbourhood, take or pick from home to somewhere, or others). But as each pet has their own personality, before I can look after your pets I will need to know as much as possible about them, like routine, diet, any allergies, medicines, behaviour alone and with other animals, in and out of home, activities that they enjoy etc. If you feel that I can help you caring your pet please send me a message so we can chat about how I can help.
