About: Hi, I'm Claire, the owner of Hound & Hike, a professional dog walking and pet sitting service based in Hexham. After more than 18 years as a police officer, I chose to follow my passion for caring for animals by creating a business dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate and trustworthy care for your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I've spent years caring for a wide variety of breeds, ages and personalities. From energetic working breeds and playful puppies to senior dogs, blind dogs and those needing medication or extra support, I understand that every dog is unique and deserves care tailored to their individual needs. Whether your dog enjoys adventurous countryside walks, relaxed local strolls, or simply companionship and reassurance while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved every step of the way. My policing career has equipped me with qualities that are invaluable in pet care: reliability, responsibility, excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and confident in any situation. About: My whole life I have been surrounded by dogs both big and small. I have grew up with boxers in the family since I was 2 months old, and my mum has had her own dog boarding which was extremely popular. All dogs are treated as part of the family and are took on multiple walks per day, from national trust days out, beach’s adventures , and mountain walks. My mother was also a guide dog puppy trainer, which was truly a fabulous experience. I have just finished university so I have all the time in the world. I sometimes work a Saturday night in town, but my partner (who is a massive dog lover) would be home. I have a garden which is fenced and has a stone wall. Although I live next to a busy road, your dog will never be in the garden unsupervised, and will always be on a lead when walking anywhere unless in a rented field that is 100% secure.

About: Hello, my name is Sam! 
I've always loved animals from a young age, having all types of pets for as long as I can remember. In 2021 I was fortunate enough to work in an animal rescue, caring for so many different animals my passion grew rapidly. I have 8 pets of my own - 1 dog, 3 cats and 4 rabbits who are my absolute world ❤️.
Being a pet owner and going on holiday or days away myself, I get anxious and always worry if they'll be looked after properly (I'm the pet owner that leaves 4 laminated sheets of instructions) 🥹, so I can completely understand the reservations people have. 
I want to be the person who can put your worries aside and you can be sure your furries will be looked after and spoilt as if they were my own until you come home. 
I have great experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and some other exotics and farm animals as well as wildlife. 
I am confident and have experience administering various medications to various species. 
I also currently work in a veterinary practice and have gained so much knowledge including identifying emergency situations allowing me to take the best care of your pets.

For visits over 5 miles from my area there is an additional 50p charge per mile. I work in a veterinary practice Monday to Friday helping care for the inpatients and patients in for appointments. At home I have a zoo of 8 I care for everyday, administering meds, feeding, cleaning etc. I am very careful with open doors as I have house cats of my own. I make sure my rabbits are secure in cages before I leave and my dogs collar, harness and lead are secure before any walks.

About: 5 years working with dogs in professional settings including rescue and a canine country club. Foundation degree in animal welfare and a diploma in canine behaviour Went part time for the rescue I work for due to an injury. All healed now but, want to start spend more of my time with dogs again ! I have great deal of love and respect for individual dog needs and will pretty much do anything to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: I’m a veterinary student with hands-on experience caring for animals of different ages, sizes and temperaments. I have done a range of volunteering/placement at different shelters and organisations. I’m confident handling energetic dogs as well as older pets who may need extra patience and attention. Through my studies and personal experience, I understand animal behaviour, health and safety, and husbandry. I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, cared for and happy while their owners are away. I’m reliable, communicative and genuinely love spending time with animals. I am in my summer holidays of uni with few other commitments so have plenty of time to look after and play with your pets! I enjoy keeping dogs physically and mentally stimulated with games, enrichment activities and exploring local parks and new walking routes. I always adapt to each dog’s energy levels and routine so they feel comfortable and happy.

About: A geordie lad, NHS worker and wedding dog chaperone that loves all creatures great and small and exploring the outdoors! Pet first aid trained, pet business insurance, You're in safe hands with me! I'm an NHS worker Mon - Thu, in my spare time I love to dog chaperone at weddings and go on nice walks in nature and trips to Northumberland, the lakes and beyond so dog walking, cat and dogg sitting would fit nicely into my schedule on Fri-Sunday. I am pet first aid trained and have pet business insurance as safety and comfort is top priority when chaperoning, boarding and walking your pets. I have a car crate for transporting animals safely and can easily have any of your pets safety harnesses/crates or comfort toys lr blankets with me when walking or boarding. I have a small fenced patio/garden and lots of grass space, I live next to the River Tyne for lovely local walks and will happily make drop ins to your own home to ensure your pet is in their most comfortable environment.

About: I’ve been a round dogs my whole life and own Duncan a brilliant boxer/staffie mix. In my spare time I offer dog walking services in my local area. Im currently in the process of setting up my own online business from home. The hours i put into this project are worked around my own dog. I walk him 3 times per day and would happily add your dog into that mix. I have a fenced garden for your dog to play if they choose to do so. if you wish your dog to be in a crate that can also be arranged.

About: Highly comfortable around both cats and dogs with first-hand experience of petcare, having grown up around various different pets (including hamsters, guinea pigs and fish). I'm flexible and reliable, especially when it comes to taking care of your precious furry companions! Please note that I currently rely on public transport. About: I absolutely love dogs, but being a uni student I don’t get to meet all that many! I’ve had my own dog for 8 years now, a Miniature Schnauzer called Pip! I also work for a dog food company, purely so I can meet new dogs, it’s great fun. I’m easy going, flexible and can work around you and your dog, don’t be afraid to get in touch if you have any other questions! I’m currently at university, with relatively low contact hours I can be extremely flexible in terms of availability. So any time that works for you will most likely work for me! Every dog (and their owner) is different, all I need is a short list of do’s and don’ts (e.g no going on the sofa, no treats after dinner etc). If I am house sitting then I will treat your house like the library, all I need is my laptop and won’t make a fuss! If we are out walking, I have some great dog walks around Sheffield with varying lengths that you (and your dog) can choose from!

About: I’ve had the joy of owning and caring for a family dog for the past 16 years. After recently losing him, I’d love to spend time around animals again and give that same love and attention to other pets. I’m patient, caring, and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I currently work full-time, Tuesday- Friday 8am-6pm. I am available outside of these hours in the and have full availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. I can be flexible outside of my working hours and will always make time to give your pet the attention and care they need. We live on 0.7 acres of land with no nearby neighbours, providing a calm and private environment for your pet. Our garden is fenced, and although there are no gates on the driveway, dogs will always be fully supervised when outside to ensure their safety. I also have direct access to Ponteland Park on my doorstep, offering plenty of space and variety for enjoyable walks. Your pet will be cared for in a safe, attentive, and loving environment at all times.

About: I have been raised around pets my entire life, and am confident in my ability to care for them. I have cared for both family and friends' pets in the past when needed, and now have my own. I currently study part time, so have plenty time to care for your pets. With summer coming up, my availability is much more flexible due to the term ending :) A pet's safety and comfort is really important to me - I always make sure to provide the care needed and make sure that their owner is confident they are being cared for.

About: I’ve owned dogs from the age of 6, both small and large, alongside other animals🐾 I love all animals tiny or giant! I often pet sit for friends, family and colleagues often. I work for a mental health charity full time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, but enjoy spending my free time going on walks and spending time with my english pointer Ellie who has endless amounts of energy. I would like to put my passion for animals to good use by helping out other pet parents when I can! I’m flexible and understand that every pet is unique and have their own quirks. I’m also open to extra long walks as a girl who loves to get her steps in! I’m available after 5pm on a weekday (Monday-Friday) but sometimes this is flexible! I am also available for early morning 6-7am on a weekday (Monday-Friday) but sometimes this is flexible also! On a weekend I am available at ANY time! I mainly offer drop-in visits, dog walks, and occasional in-home stays, allowing pets to stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I don’t host pets in my own home, as I have a dog and want to avoid causing them any stress by introducing unfamiliar animals into their space. As a true animal lover, I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick visit, a walk, or a longer stay, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, exercise, playtime, and any special care requirements. During visits, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and companionship—not just the basics. I’m attentive to their behaviour and wellbeing, and I always aim to make each visit calm, positive, and reassuring. I respect your home and keep everything clean, tidy, and secure. Trust and safety are very important to me, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.

About: Hi there! My name is João, I came from Brazil to do my PhD research a few months ago and, since then, has been working as pet sitting in Newcastle. I had to leave my two cats under my friend's care during the period I am here (sadly but also thankfully), so I sincerely can relate with the need of having someone responsable, trustful and experience to look after our littles. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats here, as well as of pets for family and friends in Brazil, including dogs, cats, hamsters and bunnies, which I consider positive experiences in developing a sense of how to provide assistance in different situations regarding sitter them.
