About: Hi, I'm Claire, the owner of Hound & Hike, a professional dog walking and pet sitting service based in Hexham. After more than 18 years as a police officer, I chose to follow my passion for caring for animals by creating a business dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate and trustworthy care for your pets. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I've spent years caring for a wide variety of breeds, ages and personalities. From energetic working breeds and playful puppies to senior dogs, blind dogs and those needing medication or extra support, I understand that every dog is unique and deserves care tailored to their individual needs. About: I have grown up rurally and have owned or cared for in the past cats, and looked after dogs. I have provided dog walking and company for elderly dogs. I currently don’t have pets and miss the company, so I have set up this new account. I’m looking forward to meeting your dog. :) I work from home flexibly. So any in home care for your pets I will be available all day every day during the week for company. I also walk three times a day and will be happy to adjust my routine to suit pets and personalise their care. I will be available for company all day for your pets. I do not drink alcohol and am a quiet person spending time at home, or in nature. Your pet will have a relaxed time with me with a lot of attention.

One dog is particularly difficult as he has epilepsy, so there’s always the fear of seizures and vet’s trip. Craig accepted to help us when others wouldn’t and we’re so grateful he did. The boys were so well looked after and so happy when we seen them. Craig knew we wanted them to be at the wedding so tried to get some pics in bow ties for us, bought us a wedding card and even helped us to carry some stuff in when we returned. About: I’ve owned and loved dogs since I was a child . I own three French Bulldogs 2 of which are rescues and I volunteer and foster for a French Bulldog charity. I only board one fur family at a time. 🐶🐾 I am now a dog walker, pet sitter after raising my family and love that I am doing a job I’m passionate about and building a loving bond with my fur clients🐾🐈🐶🐕‍🦺 Your pets safety & happiness is paramount while in my care. About: I grew up with all kinds of animals, training young ones and tending to injuries or ongoing needs. From terriers and spaniels to farm felines and couch cats, and most inbetween. I don't have my own at home now, and have been boarding or walking for friends to fill the fluff shaped gap. Keen to share my space more often and give a safe spot to play and rest while owners are away, or just for walkies and check ins. I'm fair and fun with dogs, love to make their brain and nose work with hide & seek games. Cats are royalty and so entitled to their own agenda; no pressure from me to make fast friends unless they want to play or come for cuddles. I'm in and around most of the day, taking time work on some passion projects at home. Often find myself in the park or a cafe, boarders very welcome to accompany me! One evening per week I work out of the house for 2-4 hours, which can be worked around. I've worked in support for many years, and see sitting quite the same! If visiting their home, first off cover the basics of food, water, access to outside and play. Keeping the environment safe and clean, noticing signs of distress and adapting to what they need as much as possible. At home, there's comfy places to curl up and space to play. The kitchen is ideal for a quiet area to eat and decompress if they need it, with managed access to the yard. I have a fenced yard with a shrubby boarder for toilet and run around time. Some access to neighbours' lawn.

About: Coming from a family of farmers in County Durham, I grew up surrounded by animals; dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, sheep, cows and horses! I have 5 cats and 2 dogs who all love to join in on walks! I’m very active and will make sure your pet gets the attention they deserve. Previously done house sits and walking for dogs who all left with 5* reviews. I graduated university with a criminology degree and currently working part time so able to fit in to you and your pets schedule. I have my own means of transport - pet friendly, and able to take them to their usual or new spots. I am able to manage walking multiple dogs at once. I work part time, 4 days a week until 3pm. I am available to take your pets out either way. I’m an early riser to pet sitting can start any point in the day! I also have my own means of transport. I am consistent, reliable and luckily a housekeeper! Your home would be in very safe hands. In my own home my pets favourite place is my bedroom! I wake up to 3 cats and 2 dogs in my bed most mornings.
