“Thank you Larissa for looking after my Bertie at such short notice! He’s a high maintenance little guy but he looks like he has had a marvellous time with you and Dash. I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again in the future, thank you so much ❤️”

“As Anne has had many dogs of her own over the years she was completely chilled looking after Layla. Anne lives in the countryside with plenty of outside space so Layla was completely at ease with her. I would happily leave her with Anne again.”

“Milo has had three holidays with Emma now and it’s wonderful to receive photos of his adventures. He clearly enjoys his time with Emma and we have total trust in her care for our dog. Absolutely recommend (and have done)”

“Absolutely fantastic care by Ann ans Simon. They took great care, and really thought about what would make her happy on her stay. Winnie was a little sad to leave when it was time to say goodbye. I couldn’t recommend Ann enough!”

“Erin and Alex were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. It was our first time using a dog sitter but after meeting Erin at her home I knew Ozzy was going to be well looked after. She kept in touch daily about where they had been and took loads of photos! I think Ozzy was living his best life at their house. Thank you so much!”

“Murphy had a fabulous home from home experience this week. Judith has a lovely friendly personality that put us at ease instantly. We highly recommend her to everyone. We are already booked in for another week later in the year. 5 stars from us. Paul & Karen”

“What a wonderful time my dog Buzz had with Yvonne and David. He was treated as one of the family with endless cuddles and treats. I received lots of photos and updates throughout his stay, which kept me at ease. Will definitely be booking them again. My Buzz didn't want to come home, he had such a lovely time!”

“George has had an 11/10 weekend thanks to Julie and her lovely family. Gorgeous home and he’s been up to loads of activities and fun walks. He seems depressed to be home, thanks again ❤️😂”

“Dolly had a lovely time with Yuen Shan W. Met up before hand to introduce each other. Lots of updates throughout with photographs. Felt very confident Dolly was well cared for. Will definitely use again.”

“I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Jenny ! She stepped in and rescued my beloved Elton when things didn’t go as planned at his original boarding place. From the moment she took him in, I could tell he was in the most caring, loving hands. She not only kept him safe, but gave him 29 days filled with joy, fun, and affection. She treated him like family, gave me regular updates that put my mind at ease, and went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, healthy, and comfortable the whole time I was away. I’ll always be grateful for the care, kindness, and warmth she showed both of us. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into something so positive. Elton came back happy, relaxed, and full of tail wags—and I know he’ll be thrilled to see you again in the future!”

“Anna took care of Koko for a week, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. She kept us up to date throughout, sending daily videos and pictures that really put our minds at ease. It was clear Koko was well looked after and happy in her care. We would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.”

“The most responsible and understanding friend that Toby has stayed with. We loved the regular updates and photos. Toby made himself right at home and Kirsty knew exactly how to care for our 10 year old Toby. We felt comfortable and relaxed knowing that Toby was in great hands. Now he’s sad he’s back at home and not at Kirsty’s house with all his newly found Toys!. Many’s Thanks! Phil, Izzy & Toby”

“Fantastic dogsitter! Kim is warm and looked after my older dog so well. She sends regular pics and updates and he is very relaxed in her lovely home. I recommend Kim highly as she is also an approved dogsitter with the local council.”

“Dillon was on only his second ever sleepover, his first since the pandemic and his first with Ros and Charles. At only 2 yrs old he was understandably anxious but very excited. Ros & Charles were very understanding and accommodating, helping Dillon overcome his separation anxiety and settle in. They clearly enjoyed having Dillon stay and despite the inclement weather he enjoyed a couple of walks in the beautiful srroundings. The change of surroundings did upset his meal routine and he didn't eat a lot, but he was quickly back to normal when he returned home, and I'm sure that on a longer stay this would not be a problem. Dillon is returning for a full weeks holiday in March and we feel very reassured that he will be in safe and very welcoming hands.”

“Andrew was very attentive and gave us plenty of updates whilst he was looking after our dog. He asked us many questions and took notes of the answers regarding our dogs schedule for walking, food etc. which filled us with confidence. I would definitely recommend Andrew and would certainly be willing to use his services again.”

“This was our first time using a dog sitter, and I was a little nervous, but Brianna was fantastic. She took great care of our dog Betsy, kept me updated with messages and photos, and made the whole experience stress-free. My dog was happy and well looked after. I would definitely recommend her and would happily book with her again. Thank you!”

“Lauren was absolutely amazing with Wilf, it is the first time we have left him with him only being 4 months old but he could not of been in better hands. She sent us regular updates and he had an absolute blast. Lauren is just the loveliest person and we have already booked her again for when we go on holiday, I can not recommend her enough ❤️”

Clara kept in touch and sent photos and videos, I will definitely be booking with her again.”

I got regular updates and photos, and he looked so happy and relaxed the whole time. It’s such a relief knowing he was in safe hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again 🐶💛”

“Sophie was incredibly patient and flexible over the booking process (which was complicated due to some cat health issues that affected the booking times), and responded promptly and patiently to all my messages and my last-minute flailing around! Has been thoughtful, great with problem solving, communicative throughout, and took great care in staying with them during the sessions to ensure they’d had everything they needed, especially as one has been incredibly poorly lately. Has earned the trust of my two very finicky and anxious cats. Thank you Sophie!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally. I’ve spent years around all kinds of breeds and personalities, from high energy springer spaniels to independent dachshunds and loyal German shepherds. At home we have one of each, so I know first-hand how different their needs, routines and quirks can be. Whether it’s long walks, playtime or just making them feel safe and happy, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I am home from uni for summer, so I can take them on short/long walks across Hadrian’s wall. Or we can relax at home, on the sofa 😛 I treat both the dog and the space with the same care and respect I would my own. I know how important it is for dogs to feel comfortable in their usual surroundings, so I stick to their normal routine and keep things calm and consistent. I’m tidy, reliable and always make sure everything’s left just how I found it — except maybe with a happier, well-walked dog.

About: I’ve never owned a cat myself, but I’ve been lucky to look after cats for friends, family, and colleagues, and I’ve completely fallen in love with them. I’m definitely a cat person at heart and love how unique each one is. I’m happy to take things at their pace, whether that means earning their trust slowly, enjoying some quiet company, or cuddles when they’re feeling affectionate.
About: Coming from a family of farmers in County Durham, I grew up surrounded by animals; dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, sheep, cows and horses! Previously done house sits and walking for dogs who all left with 5* reviews. I graduated university with a criminology degree and currently working part time so able to fit in to you and your pets schedule. I have my own means of transport - pet friendly, and able to take them to their usual or new spots. I am able to manage walking multiple dogs at once. I work part time, 4 days a week until 3pm. I am available to take your pets out either way. I’m an early riser to pet sitting can start any point in the day! I also have my own means of transport. I am consistent, reliable and luckily a housekeeper! Your home would be in very safe hands. In my own home my pets favourite place is my bedroom! I wake up to 3 cats and 2 dogs in my bed most mornings.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Hexham
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: My whole life I have been surrounded by dogs both big and small. I have grew up with boxers in the family since I was 2 months old, and my mum has had her own dog boarding which was extremely popular. All dogs are treated as part of the family and are took on multiple walks per day, from national trust days out, beach’s adventures , and mountain walks. My mother was also a guide dog puppy trainer, which was truly a fabulous experience. I have just finished university so I have all the time in the world. I sometimes work a Saturday night in town, but my partner (who is a massive dog lover) would be home. I have a garden which is fenced and has a stone wall. Although I live next to a busy road, your dog will never be in the garden unsupervised, and will always be on a lead when walking anywhere unless in a rented field that is 100% secure.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic dog sitter! Great communication from start to finish, really friendly, and I felt completely at ease leaving Bruce in their care. It was clear my dog was well looked after and happy. I'd definitely use them again and would happily recommend them to others. Thank you!”

“Chocs said "Laura was great; she should come back every time you swan off on this and that". And I believe every little thing Chocs tell me. How else could I know how it all was good? I wasn't here for the six hours that Laura reigned supreme. What I am sure about, is that it was all mutual smiles when I returned. Top Marks!”

“I can highly recommend Laylee to care for your dog. I chose her because she has experience with giant breed dogs that might have phased another sitter. She is knowledgeable, responsible with a passion for dogs. My Newfie puppy loved her and he had a wonderful day with her. I just wished she lived closer as just a bit too far for a few hours sitting.”

“Deb and her partner were brilliant at looking after our cockapoo Basil for the day. They had him for the day while we attended a wedding nearby. They sent us lots of photos and video updates throughout the day which was lovely. Basil can be a bit anxious but he happily trotted off with them when we dropped him off and seemed very happy when we picked him up. Thank you very much!”

“First time our dogs stayed with other people and it has gone really well. Peace of mind knowing they were well looked after in a safe environment with lovely people and looking forward to the next stay!”

“Joanna was brilliant with Milo, extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times! Kept us up to date throughout the day with plenty of photos and videos too! Milo had plenty of playtime with Joanna’s dogs toys and as well as lots of exercise on lovely walks! For the second consecutive day, Milo was so excited to return! Would definitely recommend!”

“Milo had a fantastic day with Alex and his dog Kaia, we received plenty of updates, videos and photos throughout the day which kept us at ease knowing he was settling in well! Alex was extremely responsive and clearly communicated throughout the booking process and whilst Milo was at his house, giving us an early update to reassure us he was all good! He obviously had a great time as he’s been fast asleep since we got home didn’t want to leave when picking him up. Thanks so much Alex, Milo will be visiting again for sure!”

“Absolutely amazing care with Emma and her partner. We were anxious as we haven't really left our dog with anyone, and from Emma visiting Toby at home to meet him and us, to the drop off and pick up, she was great! Thank you again! Would highly recommend and will definitely book again x”

“Our 8 month old spaniel, Bonnie, had a very fun stay with Laura, Leandro and Sindy. We received lots of updates of Bonnie napping, chasing leaves and playing with Sindy! Laura and Leandro are natural dog people and we felt very comfortable leaving Bonnie with them. I would not hesitate to leave her with this lovely couple and would highly recommend them! Thank you, Laura and Leandro!”

“We are so happy we found Avi and Gayatri. Lady has had a great day packed with fun. We received lots of photos and communication has been excellent. We were a little nervous about leaving Lady as it’s not something we have done before, however a meet and greet really helped and it is clear to see lady has had a great time. We all cant wait for her next visit. Thank you both!”

About: My partner and I have had our own dogs, and family dogs in which we have taken care of diligently for most of our lives. Our soft love, playful personalities and calm approach around dogs enables us to comfortably have dogs around us. With plenty of affection, lots of walks and tail wags our love for dogs is unmatched. We have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages but we prefer those between the ages of 2-10 years old, but we are flexible to accommodate all. Working from home full-time, we have the flexibility to take the doggo’s out whenever it is needed throughout the day. As active individuals, we can provide adequate time to stimulate and play with the dogs, as well as the ability to provide adequate toilet breaks. “Craig was fantastic accommodating Jackson to stay one night with him. He kept me informed on what they got up to and I know Jackson had a blast as he’s still tired from all they fun he had! Thank you so much 😊”

About: I've had dogs my whole life and currently have two friendly, well-socialised dogs of my own. I regularly help care for my neighbours' dogs while they're at work, providing walks, companionship, feeding and plenty of attention. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, happy and well cared for. I currently only work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I'm available most other days for dog walks, drop-in visits and boarding. For boarding, dogs would need to be comfortable around children, as I have two dog-savvy children who have grown up around dogs and know how to interact with them respectfully. My own dogs are very friendly and enjoy the company of other dogs, helping visiting pets feel welcome and at home. I will care for your dog as if they were one of my own, making sure they receive lots of love, attention, exercise and cuddles while you're away. I also only work term time so I’m at home full time during the school holidays ☺️ Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I already care for my own two dogs every day. I am fully available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for walks, drop-in visits and boarding. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I work from 8:30am until 3:30pm, but I'm available after work. I also only work term time so there are periods where I am home full time, my husband also works from home on a Tuesday and is in the local area on wednesdays usually so our dogs are never left alone much at all which will be the same for your pet 🙂. Weekends are usually spent with my family enjoying local parks, beaches and countryside walks, and any dogs staying with us are welcome to join our adventures. If we're visiting somewhere that isn't dog-friendly, we're usually only out for a few hours at a time. Your dog's safety, comfort and happiness are my top priorities. We have a large, secure garden with high fencing, giving dogs plenty of space to play and explore safely. I live in a lovely area of County Durham with access to lots of beautiful walking routes, parks and open spaces. I have two friendly, well-socialised dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs, helping visiting pets feel relaxed and at home. I also have two dog-savvy children who have grown up around dogs and understand how to interact with them respectfully. I will follow your dog's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise needs and any special requirements, so they feel comfortable and settled while in my care.
“We left Moses with Kim for the first time yesterday for the day. An excellent experience from our point of view. Kim clearly loves dogs. We had a meet and greet a few days earlier, and Moses was keen to come back as soon as he got to the front door, which is a good sign. He was very relaxed staying with Kim. Thanks Kim we'll be back! 😄”

About: I have always loved having dogs around, and when I was younger, the family dogs would always come down to the stables while I tended the horses. I have experience walking a variety of dogs: labradors, cocker/springer spaniels, cockapoos, dachshund to mention a few and across a wide range of ages. As we all like a little routine in our lives, dogs aren't too different; however, I do understand that each and every dog is different with their own personalities and needs. Therefore, I will adapt to their/your needs to provide a tailored-made service for them and you. This will give you the knowledge and confidence that they are being well looked after, safe and having fun. I am an honest, trustworthy, and energetic person who loves the great outdoors and has years of experience looking after family and close friends’ dog/s. All of which I absolutely love and adore and can’t wait to take them out again soon. Looking forward to meeting you and your canine best friend/s. Lindsay S. I currently have part-time commitments; which allows me to be flexible. So, depending on your requirements, I can adhere to the service that is required. Dog walking services, collecting and returning to your property. I scoop poop, dry/clean them after a muddy walk and make sure they have plenty of water.
About: Hello, my name is Sam! I've always loved animals from a young age, having all types of pets for as long as I can remember. In 2021 I was fortunate enough to work in an animal rescue, caring for so many different animals my passion grew rapidly. I have 8 pets of my own - 1 dog, 3 cats and 4 rabbits who are my absolute world ❤️. Being a pet owner and going on holiday or days away myself, I get anxious and always worry if they'll be looked after properly (I'm the pet owner that leaves 4 laminated sheets of instructions) 🥹, so I can completely understand the reservations people have. I want to be the person who can put your worries aside and you can be sure your furries will be looked after and spoilt as if they were my own until you come home. I have great experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and some other exotics and farm animals as well as wildlife. I am confident and have experience administering various medications to various species. I also currently work in a veterinary practice and have gained so much knowledge including identifying emergency situations allowing me to take the best care of your pets. I hope to meet you and your lovely furry friends soon 😊🐾. Please message me if some dates you require are unavailable on my calendar and I'll do my best to accommodate 😊. For visits over 5 miles from my area there is an additional 50p charge per mile. I work in a veterinary practice Monday to Friday helping care for the inpatients and patients in for appointments. At home I have a zoo of 8 I care for everyday, administering meds, feeding, cleaning etc. I am very careful with open doors as I have house cats of my own. I make sure my rabbits are secure in cages before I leave and my dogs collar, harness and lead are secure before any walks.

She took him on different walks each day and even gave him a bag of treats at the end. Thanks so much!”

About: I’ve owned dogs from the age of 6, both small and large, alongside other animals🐾 I love all animals tiny or giant! I often pet sit for friends, family and colleagues often. I work for a mental health charity full time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, but enjoy spending my free time going on walks and spending time with my english pointer Ellie who has endless amounts of energy. As a true animal lover, I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick visit, a walk, or a longer stay, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, exercise, playtime, and any special care requirements. I will be free during the days and evenings to take the best care of your pet :) I am happy and willing to comply with requests and considerations you might need to keep your pet happy and safe! I am careful and will always make sure your pet is happy and healthy.
About: Hi there! My name is João, I came from Brazil to do my PhD research a few months ago and, since then, has been working as pet sitting in Newcastle. I had to leave my two cats under my friend's care during the period I am here (sadly but also thankfully), so I sincerely can relate with the need of having someone responsable, trustful and experience to look after our littles. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats here, as well as of pets for family and friends in Brazil, including dogs, cats, hamsters and bunnies, which I consider positive experiences in developing a sense of how to provide assistance in different situations regarding sitter them. For me, aside from doing an extra money to support my period of study here, it will be a genuine pleasure to spend time with your pets and give them all the love I keep with me for my cats, and I will make sure to take care of your pets with the same attention I would like mine to be cared, ensuring they will be safe, respected and catered to all needs. As I have flexible times at university my schedule is always free. I am available all day every day of week so we can previously arrange the activities you need to be provided (including home visits, house sitting, walk in neighbourhood, take or pick from home to somewhere, or others). But as each pet has their own personality, before I can look after your pets I will need to know as much as possible about them, like routine, diet, any allergies, medicines, behaviour alone and with other animals, in and out of home, activities that they enjoy etc. If you feel that I can help you caring your pet please send me a message so we can chat about how I can help. “Thank you Larissa for looking after my Bertie at such short notice! He’s a high maintenance little guy but he looks like he has had a marvellous time with you and Dash. I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again in the future, thank you so much ❤️”

“George has had an 11/10 weekend thanks to Julie and her lovely family. Gorgeous home and he’s been up to loads of activities and fun walks. He seems depressed to be home, thanks again ❤️😂”

“Tom and his partner were absolutely wonderful, you can tell they really love and care for dogs! Made sure to know all about Maple’s needs and routine, and kept me in the loop with lots of photos and updates. Communication from Tom was amazing and very quick. It was clear that Maple was very comfortable and well looked after and made herself at home very quickly. Could not recommend more!!”

“Rebecca was absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend her enough. She was very thorough in the meet and greet and asked lots of questions about Maisie’s care. She allowed me to view her home so I could see where Maisie would be staying and Maisie fell in love with the garden and their wonderful dog. Throughout the booking I have received lots of updates with messages, photos and videos. I have never left Maisie before in a kennel or a strangers home so this was something I was nervous about. However, I felt at ease straight away seeing how comfortable and happy she looked. Seems like Maisie has found a second home! Cannot thank you enough!”

“Jess and Sam were great with my 5 month old puppy Maeve! Flexible and communicative and Maeve seemed to have a great stay with them. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a dog sit from a reliable pair!”

“Barnie had an amazing stay!! Daily updates and pictures were really appreciated and he was clearly settled and was very well cared for. Will use and again and would definitely recommend 👌”

“Angela and Paul are just fantastic. My two dogs had a great time with them again and came home shattered. It is all about the dog(s) and I have no problem at all leaving my two in their care. Thank you both.”

“Massive thanks to Katie and her family for looking after Trevor and Harry on a last minute request. The dogs looked like they had a great time and we were provided lots of updates which was nice. Would definitely have them sit our dogs again!”

About: I grew up with Dobermans and at one point we had three in the house. I love dogs and regularly look after my friends pets both sitting and walking. Had experience of dog training, both small and bigs breads, from a border terrier to a German shepherd. Happy to go on adventurous walks, or a walk round the block and open my home up for sitting too. I work full time but have every other Friday off and can work flexibly from home for 2 days a week. I am more available at weekends however can adjust my work from home days to sit around the weekend for longer sitting opportunities. Dog walking can be before work, after work or during a lunch time on a WFH day and weekends any time. I have no pets of my own just yet. I have a garden at my home, 3 bed house with plenty of space and space downstairs for dog beds, crates or whatever is required. I am super respectful and will always follow the dog owners wishes for caring for their dog.
